Beautiful resort Id call it not a hotel. It has multiple pools, hot tubs and water slides for kids and adults. Really nice tennis courts(2) and lights on the beach volleyball court. Room we had is a true ocean view and could sleep 8 comfortably even though we have 6. Washer and dryer is a huge bonus plus full stoked kitchen. I added pics of whats in each cabinet. Definitely would come back here again.
Best Waterpark for kids in Myrtle Beach. 2 big buildings full of fun for the whole family with watersides that adults can use as well. Took our 3 grandchildren all under 10 and had a Blast! We had a 3 bedroom unit with a full kitchen including a dish washer and washer and dryer. Everything was very clean and the room was very well appointed. Also Big plus it is right on the beach! There is a restaurant and a Starbucks in the lobby
This is a nice hotel with lots to do without leaving the property. Its not in a congested area which we loved. The first night we had this blower thing below our balcony which RAN ALL day and night. It was horrible. The next day we told the front desk and was moved two floors up. Within 15 minutes all we could hear from the balcony was the ocean.
Great place to stay the service was awesome and the water parks were great for the kids. If you want to go out on the beach if just a very short walk. Over all love this place and will be staying here again.
We had a wonderful stay. Everyone was very nice and amenities were terrific. The beach was view was amazing and the beach easy to access. Our son loved the water park with heated pools, hot tubs and slides. Would highly recommend The Dunes Village to anyone.
I really like this place. Great for families. The view from our room is fantastic! We had an issue with our room and made the clerk at the front desk aware of it and it was taken care of immediately. Ms Penny (reservations) helped me with an issue with our booking (my fault) and she helped me tremendously. I got a chance to thank her in person; she is a sweetheart! Also, my son really enjoyed the pools and waterparks. Will definitely be staying here again!
The rooms are always pleasant, outdated but nice. During these Covid times, not to keen on swimming. Frank the Valet dude is the best!!!!!
Pros: Great amenities for families!!!Checked in with a lady that was polite and made us feel welcome. I noticed not all the front desk ladies were as nice as her.I mean its not easy run a hotel and keep up with all maintenance but I was hoping it will improve in the futureCons:1. Pool is always crowded on weekends.2. The building is old. The toilet seat moved when I sat down. Take note Im a small frame Asian lady I was scared that my Caucasian husband was bout to sit on it. He pointed the bolts are rusted.3. The Service could be improved.( I was struggling to move the luggage bar cart inside the door as it was broken. Literally 3 employees passed by me and not a single person helped me pushed it. I was able to ask one guy named John, I asked if he works there, he said yes he was the chief engineer, proceeded to go on what he was doing. I think it was obvious that I was struggling. But oh well. Perhaps I was asking too much, I was literally at my door just couldnt get that dolly in . )
This place is amazing for kids!! The water park is great. Outside pools was ice cold though. The restaurant food was a A+ for delicious! The room we got was a king size bed with a pull out couch and it was ocean front. The views from the room was amazing. Nothing blocking the views. Would recommend. Oh the pricing was good too. We stayed 4 nights.
By far the most amazing experience I have ever had at a hotel! The rooms are great, service was amazing, staff were all friendly and accommodating. Our room was perfect in every way imaginable! My kids loved everything!! Cant wait to come again!
Absolutely great place to stay the condo we were in had three bedrooms and three full bathrooms also a foldout sofa bed and full kitchen with cups, plates, silverware and dishwasher. My family loves the many indoor amd outdoor swimming pools. My kids especially love the waterslide at the indoor pools at both dunes 1 and 2. It seemed like they didnt have any activities for kids like they usually do because of covid. A few other things as well because of covid was no valet parking, no maid service during our visit and the restaurants were only open for take out and delivery. Still had a wonderful time amd cant wait to go back!
Love this place. This is our favorite resort weve been to in Myrtle Beach. Always our go to. The kids have so much fun in the 2 different indoor water parks. Rooms are nice and clean. Very convenient to most everything. Reasonably priced March through May and after labor day. Love the free breakfast you can get as well with some reservations.
Stayed several times, always come back!! Good location. Best value for indoor water park of the size!!! Something for everyone...slides,hoops, pools, splash areas for little ones, hot tubs lazy river. Was delightfully surprised to have jetted tub in our 3br suite. Parking garage is across St but feels safe, well lit, keyed entry. Stayed at another hotel once in Mb...wont ever make that mistake again!!
I love the Dunes. This is my third stay. The staff is excellent, Front desk staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Resort is well kept. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend.
Very nice..... no problems with bugs, every thing was clean and tidy...... will definitely come back
We though this was a great Hotel, we checked in and checked out! The Room did not look like any of the Pictures online. The room was very dated, Kitchen utensils were rusted and the Toilet flushed slow..
Rooms were OK, somewhat run down. Overall needs a face lift. OK gym on site but also needed cleaning. Pools surface were ruff and would tear up your feet when playing in pool. We made the best of it and still had a great time.
They dont clean like they use to. We chose the extended balcony so that we could experience the cruise ship cabin feel. Had to get new sheets because, the Murphy bed look liked it hadnt been changed or cleaned in months. The sofa bed was old and raggedy.
The good part is :the water park, the beachfront, kid friendly. The bad you need to take a before and after pic because they try to throw false charges on you when you check out. They tried to charge us $200 for room damage when we had evidence our room was clean when we left. The staff was rude as hell even in the Starbucks. No housekeeping unless you ask and you have to get your own towels and blinkets.I would say we enjoyed the oceans and pools. Great for family time the view was amazing but be aware for false charges on your account
I have been coming here the past 10 years, but will never visit Dunes Village again. The door lock was broken up arrival, and had to wait with door open while it was being replaced, blood stains and hairs under top sheet, I was asked to remove it myself and set in hall. House keeping did eventually make the bed up the next day. There were rubberbands in the coffee maker with some other weird chemical. I spent about 1-2 hours going back and forth from my room wasting time standing in line trying to deal with all of this mess in the room. All of this could have been remedied if they had offered a different room. I will never patronize this place again.
Nice and fun place for the kids. It is beach front, with a waterpark and it is convenient. The only downside to it was the way that the appliances are cleaned. They could have been done a lot better, I just ended up eating out instead of cooking. But, overall enjoyed the stay.
If you dont have kids with you dont stay here. No adult amenities. Walking distance to the beach but outside of that everything else is driving distance. Employees are friendly and helpful. Not a fan of the guy trying to sell attractions in the lobby everytime you leave the hotel. But overall its decent for the price and full kitchen which could come in handy and save you alot of money if youre traveling with a bunch of kids. Late check in of 4 kind of sucks.
Nice place for family vacation. A little displeased that we paid full price for half service. No housekeeping at all due to COVID. Rates should have been lowered a bit for no housekeeping services.
Great food and even better drinks. I love drinks not watered down! Great fin and a wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely be returning soon!
Pool water was dirty, especially inside! Mold in the bathroom ceiling, leaving room ceiling had a weird spot. Some areas of the room were dirty and others were clean. Lots to do for kids and adults, loved the water slides but the water was dirty and that was nasty and disappointing. Really needs an upgrade in the rooms and pay more attention to the pool/slides water. Housekeeping girls were kind of unfriendly, but guess services were very nice. Would come back to a better room maybe, not sure. I love the slides but completely dislike the water quality in those inside pools.
Great place. Clean comfortable rooms, heated pools, wonderful for families. A twee worn, a bit away from things. The mini-golf has a sign, is on the map, yet no longer there. Would definitely stay again
To say the least, we had a horrible experience upon arrival with a group of people standing in the lobby unloading street area blocking traffic. The valet parking guy had to ask multiple times and nothing, there were no parking spots available and it was a huge cluster getting in and out. When finally being able to go inside to check in, they wouldnt accommodate any price difference due to COVID and the risks along with no housekeeping avaliable, etc. On their site they had super low rates for people able to walk in and book though. I then got hounded by a lady trying to sell attractions as a timeshare to visit a Wyndham hotel. After driving 8 plus hours thats the last thing I wanted to deal with and hold on my family from going up to the room. My husband and I arrived to our room and had to wipe down everything as it was visibly dirty in the bathroom and the kitchen. We saw a cockroach crawling on the kitchen floor as well later that night. When going on our balcony multiple times during the half a day we stayed there, there was constantly someone smoking Marijuana below us and we called to complain multiple times as I have small children with me having to smell that and they did nothing. They claimed they had security check it out but it went on the next morning even! We called for clean linens at about 9:45 and by 1:30 we still had nothing. I then called to speak to the manager for a refund. There was no way I was going to stay there for a week for $1,600+ with everything that went on from 4 pm the day before until 1:30 pm the day after, we couldnt even handle the 24 hour mark! On top of that pools were way too crowded and people were not wearing masks in the lobby, elevators, etc. I did not feel safe staying there and I had to take precautions to get my family out of there and to a new resort ASAP! The manager did not offer money back, discount, or any assurance what so ever that made me want to stay. She simply said if you dont feel safe I understand if you want your money back. WHAT A JOKE!!
Great, loved it, very nicely decorated and well put together has a great play place for kids
We stayed on the 14th floor. Beautiful ocean front view. The room was a nice size for the 5 of us. It was clean for the most part. Only problem with the room that we had was that the pull out bed, from the couch, the cover was filthy. The kids loved the slides. Also the water pressure in the shower left much to be desired, but the kids are enjoyed the jacuzzi bath tub. The inside pool in the south tower was watched some of the time and the employees who would tell kids not to jump, and would try to get them to follow the rules, which I appreciated because my 3 year old is still a little wary of water. The outside pool in the south tower was great to start, warm and just what we were looking for. A large group of older kids and teens joined in after a while, swimming hard, bumping into the younger kids, doing flips, jumping in, I would have really liked to have an employee there to kind of cut down on the rambunctious behavior. Most of the people that were in previously all left because it was just out of control. The outside pool in the north tower either isn’t heated or wasn’t working because it was freezing. Employees were courteous and would hold the doors for you and were polite. Valet parking was great because parking was across the street. Front office called when we got in to see how everything was and if we needed anything else, they brought us more towels like we asked. Overall we were happy with our stay. The kids had a great time. Would consider staying again.
Extremely fun resort. Right on the beach. 2 waterparks in two different buildings. 3 outdoor pools. Plus hot tubs and indoor pools and numerous hot tubs and water slides and kid water park areas. Right now my only gripe is all resort dining closed. So youve got to order it sent up to your room. Or go to an outside establishment to eat if you want to dine in. Which their are lots of, but everyone always enjoys that continental breakfast. Other than that though fantastic friendly service and an exceptionally fun resort thats takes a 2 minute walk tobbe sitting on your beach blanket.
Man...this place is phenomenal! Our suite is all that and the courtesy is 100%. Definitely coming back next year for our family vacation.
Fun place, many different pools and lazy rivers in two buildings. There is a kid side and a teen side to spread out your crew. Stuff for the adults too: hot tubs(both sides), shuffle board, large chest and checker boards, pool tables, ping pong, & bars ;-). Oh, and there is the beach, that youre on. Awesome listening to it at you go off to sleep each night.
Booked a 4 bedroom condo for the week, checked out after the first night. Room was very spacious and linens were clean but everything else was very dirty. Front door didn’t lock unless deadbolt was on. Water parks and common areas were also really dirty. Not even close to meeting our expectations based on the pictures and reviews.
The view from my room was amazing. The room was big, clean and I had a good time.
Great Area! Quiet area, North from Pavilion area. Clean hotel room fully equipped. Oceanfront with balcony. Free hotel parking across from hotel or valet for $15.
Great place to bring the family. We stayed during COVID19 and it was wonderful! You didnt get treated like you had the plague, the staff was friendly and respectful. The beach access is awesome and riding bikes around the neighborhoods close by was a real highlight. The homes are so beautiful. We stayed in a room that slept 6 and had our own kitchen and laundry. We just went to the store like at home and ate all our meals in the room, saving tons of money, not eating out all the time. It was a great trip.
We booked this hotel last minute! It was amazing we was lucky enough to get the penthouse on the top floor, view was nice. Kids love the water park and the beach was right outside the parking lot. I will definitely booked again, the hotel staff were exceptional they would check in with us periodically to make sure we were enjoying our stay. You won’t regret it!
Fun place!!! Love that there are also pools and indoor water park in both buildings as an option for night time and little ones. There are hair braiding options ($4/braid), dollar tree/walmart is a 20 min walk but there are some neat places to see on the way. Eagles Beachwear has good specials and some cheaper options for souvenirs$20 for lyft to the airport. The Skywheel and broadway are an hour walk or $9 lyft.
We stayed here for a week during vacation. Typically they clean the rooms daily, during our current pandemic they are not. You can call the front desk and ask for towels. The Roaches concerned me. I saw several living under the lip of the lazy river. Last night, I had something crawling on my foot. It was another Roach! I killed it and went back to sleep. This morning, I found it laying in the floor. This was my 2nd but last trip to the Dunes complex! Attached are pictures of the Roach I killed in our room!
Great family resort!Clean rooms, didn’t see any sand anywhere for it being right on the beach! We got an oceanfront balcony which was super nice. Friendly staff, always got doors for you. Great location, close to the boardwalk and right on the ocean plus two water parks and multiple pools. Parking was free with the room right across the street. Full service Starbucks on site. Would most definitely stay again. Perfect for a family.Only dislikes were the super annoying ladies at both hotels front desks trying to get you to go to a 2 hour showing of the new resort for free gift cards, they were loud and attacked you when you just wanted to go to Starbucks in peace. And the cockroaches that made sitting on the balcony at night impossible but that’s apparently a Myrtle beach issue as a whole, not just Dunes.
We had a lovely vacation here! Where to begin: Perfect location, free parking, great pools / hot tubs, courteous staff, great bartenders and tasty food on site, the beach was beautiful, etc. To top it off, upon arriving, I asked for a specific accommodation and Barbara was happy to say, “Yes!!” She provided our family exactly what we had hoped for and we can’t wait to come back!Be a little patient with the elevators during check in and check out. Sometimes the guests shoot fireworks off on the beach, but only really late on Friday night when we stayed (midnight.) Only annoyance was keys that will not work if they come anywhere near your cell phone. They are needed to access the rooms and the parking garage.
We have so much fun here... our kids LOVE IT best vacation on this horrible year so far... definitely our 15+ hrs drive was very well done .
Positives: Nice family resort right on the beach with plenty of things to do to keep the kids entertained. Staff was very nice at check-in which was an easy process and they also called us on our 3rd day to ask if we needed anything. They have a restaurant on site along with Starbucks coffee, which is a great convenience. Food Lion is right down the road should you decide to get snacks or something for family meals. The room was stocked with Pots & Pans, plates, bowls, cups and silverware. They even provide dish liquid, dish rag and a drying towel. They have convenient parking across the street but they also have 15 minute parking spots right out front of the lobby for unloading/loading. They had plenty of carts in the lobby to help us lug our belongings to and from the room. That was greatly appreciated because we had quite a bit of stuff. They also offer valet parking at $15/day but we didn’t use it. On to the negatives: I was a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. Especially, during a pandemic. The toilet had not been cleaned. There were urine stains around the rim of the toilet and the back of the toilet lid. The refrigerator was also dirty as something had leaked or spilled previously on the shelf and was not wiped up. Luckily, due to Covid, I came prepared with Lysol spray and Lysol multi-purpose cleaner. I cleaned and sanitized everything myself but the toilet should have been cleaned properly along with the refrigerator prior to a new guest checking in. The safe in room didn’t work along with one of the TV’s in the room but it wasn’t a big deal since we didn’t come here to watch TV. Overall, it was a good stay at a decent price. We’ll definitely be back.
Loved it i had a blast i reccomend everybody awsome place for kids family resort
I love this place. Always courteous staff, they go above and beyond to make sure the guest are satisfied with their stay.
This was a HUGE disappointment. We booked a weekend for our daughters birthday and checked in and checked back out in under two hours. The resort is nice, the pools are neat and our room seemed clean. That is until we pulled back the sheets...the comforter had dried blood on it and the mattress protectors were stained with what appeared to be urine. We informed the manager who promised housekeeping would be up soon to change the linens...90 minutes and 2 phone calls later...no housekeeping. We were told there were several rooms having similar issues. Long story short we checked out with a full refund and never looked back. One more thing...the parking deck was pitch black! Couldnt see anything. Great place for for a mugging.
My family and I stayed from 8-14-2020 to 8-21-2020. We didn’t have hot water the entire stay. In the middle of COVID-19 we had no hot water in our dishwasher. I had three small children with me and we took every shower in cold water. We reported the issue from day one and they would send someone up with an excuse and say it would be fixed the next day. Excuses ranged from waiting on parts to supervisors. They offered no form of compensation. Departure day we showed in cold water and ran the dishwasher for the next guest in cold water.
We stayed at Dunes Village mid-August 2020 and werent impressed with the hotel. The hotel is aged and needs updates, rooms had dirt and dust all over the ceiling, bathroom needs new toilet, the seat moved all over the place, I noticed that in another persons review, same thing in our room. The water park offerings were nice but overcrowded, so we didnt really use them.Concierge people need to go or be asked to not bother guests unless they are asking to be helped. I was very turned off by them trying to ask questions each time I walked in the door or was standing in line to get coffee.Front desk staff were great, very friendly, staff outside were also very helpful with loading and unloading.
BAD...1. Little tiny ROACHES all over the place... bathrooms, kitchen. We saw MULTIPLE every day that we were there.2. Our first room was terribly outdated and looked nothing like online. They did move us with an upgrade, however, thats when we got the roaches.3. Our garbage disposal didnt work. I attempted to call Guest Services. First place weve ever stayed where nobody answers the phone.4. Parking is across the street in a parking garage, and valets arent working during Covid-19.GOOD...1. Beach, pools, water slides2. Decent beds3. Awesome pillows4. Great TVs
Nice place to unwind and relax with the kids, on a couples trip or alone.. Great ocean views and close to different venues. 2nd time staying and will be back again.
An excellent place for young kiddos. Very family friendly.
Waterparks were nice. Staff are very helpful. But we were in an room not updated very much. Very pretty view of the beach
My kids loved the heated pools and water slides. Grateful that they kept the water warm in cold days in November.
Had a great experience, our suite was comfy and had a great ocean view. So many things to do to keep you occupied that we didnt have time to do everything. Loved the indoor swimming pools and the staff was very nice. And also came with free parking at the park deck. I would definitely have to plan another visit soon.
Clean. Pretty. Has a glorious view of the beach! Service is a little slow and unprofessional as they gossip about coworkers love lives and/or whats going on with whom. Also do you have cameras on EVERY inch and cranny, ESPECIALLY within the playplaces? Plenty of places in there for a child predator to hide and have fun. I have a bachelors degree from Freed-Hardeman University and have completed masters courses as well. Just something to think about.
LOVE this Resort! something for everyone! great Service! great attention to COVID procedures. staff helpful and courteous.
We had a blast the grandkids loved the pool and waterslides. Awesome place for a vacation.
Outstanding place we booked our vacation... staff was outstanding and the kids loves the pools ... place is walking distances from the beach... we will book here in the near future ...
Excellent service, the staff went beyond the call of duty to accommodate us as we had some special requests. Revenue Manager William Collins was SO ATTENTIVE to our needs and ensured our stay was memorable right down to the smallest detail. The indoor water park was a BLAST for young and old alike. Although the decor was a bit dated, everything else was so wonderful one hardly noticed. The front desk even did follow up to ensure the request we had made prior to our arrival was as promised. The oceanfront view from our balcony was unobstructed thus sunrises were absolutely breathtaking, we will definitely be back!
The perfect place for a family vacation. Clean room. Food at the Captains Cafe was good (breakfast and dinner). Will keep it on my list to revisit.
I had an overall amazing vacation. I will return again just like every year. House keeping was great brought towels late at night and the maintenance worker came and fixed a chirping fire alarm very fast after we called. But one person that deserves recognition is leslie on the second floor registrations. She made sure that the tab that was left over on my room was credited back to my card, gave me a receipt to keep showing the refund. After checking the first receipt it didnt show what she wanted it to so she quickly found the right one and printed it. She was very attentive to what needed to be done instead of rushing you away. Great employee !!!!
The only thing great about staying here is the ocean front view and the pools! The inside of this place is ran down, looks like a motel, it looks nothing like the outside presentation, our phone was broken, the room we had was semi clean, the sheets and the beds smelled like mildew, there was a big ring around the sheets once i pulled them back, and i seen roaches in the kitchen, took a picture and showed the guy at the front desk and all he could save was “ unfortunately due to covid our housekeepers don’t clean the rooms whole guest are in them” covid has nothing to do with the cleanliness of a room especially for the amount of money i paid for my stay.
Very nice people very helpful parking garage across the street for 15 dollars a day they will park or can and get as many times as needed
It was such an amazing hotel! We barely spent any time in our rooms bc of all they have to entertain you! My only suggestion is bring a blanket if you can bc the blankets are really thin! Other than that it was an amazing hotel to use for my vacation!
Nice, resort style, beachfront, with good amenities. Indoor restaurant with bar, as well as the tiki bar outside. Has indoor water park and pool for the kids with pool tables, and other games. Indoor putting greens. Outdoor pool and lazy river. They didnt have a 2 bed with ocean view so they upgraded us to a 4 bedroom at no charge. Great time and great stay.
BEWARE! They really tried it, calling this motel a resort. Sketchy guests, terrible customer service, and filthy rooms. The atmosphere screams projects. Didnt feel safe walking the hallway; felt like I could be mugged at any minute. Amenities are old, towels and bedding are stained. Called operator for sofa bed linens and they never delivered them. Do not fall for the false advertising!
The staff at the Dunes Village and Dunes Towers are friendly and courteous. The whole property seems well kept and clean. For those wanting a little bit of a calmer area to stay in, the northern part of Ocean Blvd isnt as loud or congested as it is a mile or two South. The beach shore views are amazing and the amenities near it on the resort property are good. Would recommend this place for families and even couples.
I dont even know where to start. My queue is full of five star reviews because I absolutely hate leaving a one-star review on anyone but this place 100% earned it. I have stayed in hotels on all spectrums. This month alone I have stayed in a Motel 6 for 50.00 and I stayed at Grove Park for 600.00 a night. This place provides the value of a $75.00 per night motel. If you are paying more than that then you are over paying. That is the value they are providing. They know once you get there you feel stuck because you wont have anywhere else to go.
Great family friendly place. 2 water parks and a few more pools, lazy rivers, and hot tubs for your enjoyment.
The room size was GREAT for our family 3bd BUT the house Keeping IS HORRIBLE!!!! Once we got in our room it was Dried up Blood on the Bathroom door!!! We got move and up Grade but the new room was JUST a little cleaner. The bathroom sinks had alot of built up and mold. The sheets had make-up & lipstik stains in my kids room & small hair and blood status in the king bedroom. The indoor pool was dirty dirty but the outdoor was a bit better.
I stayed at this resort with my family and it was amazing! Theres so much to do, especially for children! Theres several outdoor pools, an indoor waterpark, a playground, daily kids activities and a game area! There are several restaurants, so you really dont even need to leave the resort! If you want to do something expensive, like go to Pirates Voyage, go to one of the desks on the first floor and if you agree to go check out a time share, theyll give you discounted tickets. Our unit was very clean and well kept. The trash and towels were changed daily by housekeeping. We did have an end unit that only had a partial view of the ocean. It had a lot of windows, so it got very hot in the afternoon. When we visited, hurricane Dorian had destroyed the electronics in the parking deck elevator, but other than that, everything was great!
Room utilities were old, some of it broken like the stove and the dishwasher. Found small roaches when i opened the dishwasher. The area was nice. But i would rate the room a 2/5
This would be our third time vacationing here at the Dunes and we have loved every bit with the amenities and beach front location. I understand that due to COVID restrictions, housekeepers are probably limited and couldnt come clean or provide materials unless requested, but the cleanliness should not be compromised.1)The dishes and silverware were dirty and had been wiped and put back in the drawer2) No vacuums or brooms were provided considering housekeepers were not visiting. Plus the vacuums were probably as old as I am and just flung sand around3) We were woken up to cockroaches crawling around our walls and curtains at 3am even though we kept food in kitchen and packed up or put away..and I am a clean freak, so I cant imagine if our room was dirty how many more would come.I loved staying here and never said anything or had complaints before, but dirtiness/bugs are unacceptable no matter where you go or how much you spend.
The rooms were adequate for a double queen with extended balcony but it did smell bad from cigarettes. The location is great and it has a lot to keep kids entertained.
Great location right on the beach but far enough from downtown that the crowd wasnt bad. The water park is great for kids that cant handle the ocean waves
If you are booking through Diamond Resort, i wouldn’t recommend it. We paid top dollar for our reservation and requested ocean front/ocean view. We got a side ocean view. The rooms were not as cleaned or stocked when i came in. We had to constantly call the front desk for trash bags and toilet paper. we were a party of 4 adults and 3children with only one TP per bathroom during our week long stay. Front desk was not as friendly or helpful when it came to requesting wheel chair for my father in law. We were told at check-in that it would be available to us after calling in and someone would bring to our room. Once we settle down and called in for the chair they told us we had to request it at the front desk. After i mentioned to the front desk person that we were told otherwise, she advised me that i should return downstairs to ask her staff why they gave me the wrong info. Look lady, im not here to do your job and train your staff to communicate better with your team and guests.Overall the kids loved the pool and easy access to the beach.
Plenty to do for children. They love it and can spend all day there. Indoor water park is great for inclement weather. Bed is super comfy and hotel is clean.
I love this place because you get the beach, a waterpark, and rec room. Weve been here three times coming from Alabama. I highly recommend it if you have kids.
Love the resort. But terrible customer service. I called to add a night and they hung up on me. I guess they were mad I booked thru Expedia and they want double the price.
The bathrooms were not cleaned 2 big globs of hair was on the shower wall. There was what looked to be a kids slime ball on the ceiling, fake flower arrangement was broken and parts of it was on the floor. Also found 4 baby roaches in the bathrooms. The pool had hair and debris in it the 3 days that I was here only saw it being cleaned once and it was a quick sweep of the deep end he didnt even do the small end. Fist and last time, Will not be coming back.
The location was amazing, lots to offer for kids and adults. Rooms were dirty, mold in vents, refrigerator leaked, some lights vents not working, definitely lots of maintenance needed. Second shift staff was WONDERFUL!
Good location for a family vacation. Rented a 4 bedroom oceanfront condo. The rooms are very spacious and up to date. Full kitchen although there werent many cooking utensils if youre planning on cooking in. Great living room and dining room area .Table seats 8. 3 additional seats at bar. Great views and a large deck. There is an area in front of the deck that is fenced and limits how close you are. A little strange. Great amenities. Water parks, pools and lazy rivers. There is volleyball, pool, table tennis and put put golf. Definitely a great place for kids. Beach access is easy. Parking is across the street. Its a little cramped. The first couple of floors were reserved for valet parking during our visit. The check in process was easy. The staff was friendly. I would like recommend this place for a family vacation.
Great family resort. Workers are friendly for most part, not so much tourists. One worker by name is Will is just awesome personality. Clean kitchenette room. Pretty views.
Without a doubt our go to resort at Myrtle Beach. This place has always done good by us, and any issues we may of had, has been promptly handled by management. The views are amazing (with corner room, on higher floors), the rooms are massive, with plenty of space for friends, or in our case little ones. They have a playground for children as well as a mini putt-putt course.Their indoor pools are spot on, and kept warm even on the coolest nights. A must visit resort if you havent already!
Very nice hotel everyone there was extremely nice they call my room to ask if I needed anything they went above and beyond for there guest I will definitely stay again had a great time
I will always love this place! Me and my family had a WONDERFUL vacation!!!! The slides are a big plus
This resort needs updating the furniture was very dirty an worn out!Theres roaches inside the stove an no need to complain they are just not going to accommodate you ! The pools was very dirty the staff was ok Ive been to alot of resorts in Myrtle Beach an this one my family will not come back to Dont waste your money here! The resort isnt worth what we paid for!
Was pretty nice. We stayed at the Terrace power not the Dunes Village Resort which is nicer. If youre going to stay there make sure you stay at the Dunes Village Resort
It was a very nice resort. Water park was fun. I liked that the pools were open until 11. Would definitely stay again
Really enjoyed the scenery from my ocean front The murphy bed wasnt comfortable though. Other than that it was a great stay!
Hotel room was TOTALLY UNSANITARY!! Room had roaches (have pics of bugs but too disgusting to post here). The bathroom had not been cleaned. Shower curtain was completely molded with used toiletries on top ledge. Very disappointing for the cost!! Very different experience than initial visit with family in 2010.
This was a timeshare exchange and we were first given a poor room that didn’t match the floor plan or view that I exchanged for. The front desk manager was able to correct it.The kitchen was sub par (cheap utensils, thin pots and pans, toaster was terrible). The hot water worked fine all week until the last day and it is a roof top boiler system. The washer was tiny and very loud. Others smoking on the balconies could be smelled most days from inside our room. People were loud outside (but on the property) at 3am and it went on until daybreak. The staff was better than okay but it didn’t make up for what I was expecting from a typical exchange in Destination Exchange.
We love it here! The rooms are clean and the whole place is well maintained! People at the front counter are helpful also! Check out games in the lazy river room like pool and ping pong or go down huge water slides! I advise anyone who sees this to check this place out!
This was a really fun place to stay for the kids. The rooms were clean. We had a small kitchen and were able to comfortably prepare a few meals which is a nice change from constantly eating out when you are visiting from out of town. My children especially loved the indoor water slides. They had two different water slide areas available which translated to teenagers and adolescents both being content. I enjoyed chatting with my wife in the jacuzzi. There was adequate site security and staff available to keep things safe enough for me to relax.
