Positive: Beach Negative: Pools open late

The condo itself wasn’t that clean especially the hallway and elevator and the smell wasn’t that great. The Jacuzzi was dirty and wasn’t kept up at all. The only part I really loved was the location and the ocean view from the balcony. I feel they should be a little more selective on whom they let stay. I definitely won’t be staying again.

Half the outlets didnt work, half the lights didnt work. I had to have the ac on 60 for it to be any amount of cold. You had to slam the sliding door. I was exhausted so I slept without complaining and With the coffee table against the door bcz they only had a dead bolt. I checked out a day early. Which they refuse to refund my $100 for tonight. Smelled like smoke even though my room was non smoking. Oh and the fire hazard wiring. Ice machine is gross. Saw a roach as I was leaving and she just laughed at me like I was lying. I asked for the manager and she yelled out NO refunds and never came to talk to me.

Room was clean and comfortable. Poorly stocked. Had to call down for towels. Coffee maker but no filters, coffee, sugar, or creamer. A/C worked but had to turn it down to 60 to keep the room cool. Hall way and lobby with dirty carpet. Ice machine with a coffee cup to scope ice. No I didnt use their ice. Feel like I could have gotten similar accommodations far cheaper.

Beautiful views and lots of things to do.

Pool closed at 6 EVERY night yet not one staff member was out sanitizing anything in the pool areas once they were clear. Hot tub areas over ran with little ones most of the stay! We came after Labor Day just to avoid alpt of kids even though times are different staff should monitor the pools/tubs appropriately. 3 elevators and only one worked consistently. One was completely out of order. Owners have clear lost interest and new blood is needed.

I initially reserved the room for only one night instead of two. (My fault) They indeed added another night and only charged me 100 per night. So total I paid about $272. The first room was unable to be entered due to door knob issues. The 2nd room was covered in black mold. So we were then moved to another room which was supposed to be an upgrade. The room was roach infested. They have three towers one of which is closed and not used. The other a newer and more cleaner building. The middle one in which we were put only had about 5 occupants out of 6 floors of rooms. The pool was absolutely nasty at our building. The pools at the new building were cleaner but not as clean as they could be. No refund was offered for the issues nor the unclean pool. Needless to say we will not be back. Do not book here unless you want a roach motel. Ive stayed at motels cleaner than this.

It was nice to have a little get-away with my husband. But the cleanliness of our room was not that great. The bathroom was still dirty, mirrors were so streaky and so were the dishes. I had to wash the dishes before my husband and I could actually use them.. I mean I expected to have to rinse them maybe but they were dirty. Stuck on food, etc. They had to be scrubbed.

We read reviews before booking and the reviews were not great but for less than 3 digits per night it was just what we needed. Upon booking it was clear that some of the reviews were just a bit unfair. So here is my take away. We stayed in the North Tower1-The staff I encountered were friendly2-Yes the carpet is outdated and worn. But it is Myrtle Beach and not North Myrtle. All the hotels and building here are old. We didnt come to admire the carpet.3-Pools close at 6pm which is posted on the elevator doors.4-Elevators old but function5-Pools were clean6-Great beach access7-Bed was not uncomfortable8-AC worked fine, and we had a balcony so we could let in the ocean breeze if it did get stuffy9-Odor of Marijuana at times but I always come prepared when on vacation with air freshener because lets face it all hotels end up smelling in one way or another.Over all the place was good. No extravagance but we didnt expect it. If you are going to complain about trivial things be prepared to pay for more and go to that place. Dont leave negative comments when you get what you pay for.

DIRTY! TUB DIDN’T DRAIN! DISGUSTING CARPET. DEAD COCKROACHES STAYED IN A BIN UNDER THE ICEMAKER FOR DAYS WHILE “HOUSEKEEPING” PASSED BY IT EVERYDAY! DISGUSTING CARPET! DISGUSTING EVERYWHERE!Other than all of the above, good location, plenty of parking spaces, decent front desk service. Watch out for hidden and unpublished fees. Building needs some serious renovation! Health Department should shut it down until an overhaul renovation!

Room was decent but we didnt get our bracelets to swim until 24 hours into our stay. None were in the room. We asked for fresh towels and none were brought to us. Fridge didnt get cold at all & no phone in the room to use. For $950.00 we definitely did not get our monies worth.

We loved it! 10th floor oceanfront view! 4K flat-screen TV, Murphy bed, jacuzzi tub! They even left us a chair and umbrella in the room. Full kitchen and stocked ice machine. Polite staff especially the guys cleaning the pool. Cant wait to come back!

It was horrible. Room was dirty. Dried urine and feces on the toilet seat. Whole floor smelled like marijuana. Food ground into bathroom floor. Sliding glass door didnt lock. Carpet had holes in it. When I said something to the clerk at check out she said they dont clean the rooms and we should have had the common sense to call. Not worth single penny I paid and pictures are very misleading.

Just left today. The first room was very dark and dirty. It had an awful odor. The carpet was wavy and dull dirty. Upgraded to a condo the room was much cleaner no bad smell. I booked on Booking.com the first room was nothing like the pictures. My sister drove down had the same problem smelly dirty dark room and the furniture was outdated and worn. Condo had nice ocean view. Be very careful I don’t recommend the first tower. We also smelled marijuana every night.

The experience that I had staying at the BoardWalk Motel was good all except we found a couple of roaches crawling in the kitchen that really needs to be took care of ! Other than that the rooms are nice and has a Beautiful and Stunning view of the Beach Oh one more thing, why do we have to pay $30.00 Dollors to get some towels and wash clothes? Any other Motel u dont have too they should be giving to us ?

We had a really nice time. The rooms are a bit dated but they were clean. The elevator was not working last year when we came and it hardly worked this time. They have two but the right elevator was not working. They really need to get that fixed!

Only one elevator working. Room was dirty. Shower had hair all over. Had to buy bleach to wipe down entire room. Balcony chairs old and broken. Mattresses very old. No towels in room. Front desk only made excuses of being short staffed. Too late to change hotels. Will not go back.

The outside of the hotel was nice. There are some renovations going on at this time which was not a bother to me or my husband. I found that this specific hotel os owned by several differnt managment companies and therefore which ever tower you got was the quality you got. We got the north tower. I have heard nice things about the middle tower. I would not recommend that any one stay in the north tower. Unless you want a contact high. Mold and holes in your curtains. Satined bedspreads. We paid a little over 200 for one night. Plus a $23 key and resort fee. I am unsure why we had to pay the extra as the pools (all of them) were either closed or green with beer cans floating in them. No chairs or anything to take to the beach. I dont mind the fact they didnt have chairs to take i am just curious what the extra resort fee was for... I would not stay in this hotel again. They seriously need to step up their game for these prices.

Very rude front desk staff, to me and others. Elevators looked worn out, the shower/Tub still had hair in it, the lock on the door was not sturdy, metal keys, looked as if it had not been updated in a very very long time, we stayed in the north tower so it wasn’t the nice main tower that was pictured as advertised. It was a holiday weekend and they didn’t have any upgrades (even though a man booked a condo while I was turning in my keys) so we left and stayed somewhere else. The main tower may be nicer but I wouldn’t take a chance, not knowing what tower you’re going to get a room in. The balcony was nice and looked updated but the chairs on the balcony looked to be from 1985.

Came here with my girlfriends family, looked like an average hotel, everything looked nice or average. But the second day of staying we found bedbugs in almost all the beds, the pools had dead bugs, hair, and god knows what else in them, not to mention the Murphy bed had blood stains and other stuff on it

Enjoyed or stay. The only complaint is that the carpet needs cleaning. We had an efficiency room and everything was good.

The staff was not the nosey type....and to me thats a good thing. We had a side view room but it still gave us a great ocean view. The room was perfect size for 2 people and it was clean. Steps from the beach and 3 pools made for nice relaxing fun. Will definitely book again next year.

Most likely the biggest hotel I ever been to.

Positive: The location was the only good the about this hotel. Negative: There are not enough characters to say what I didnt like about this hotel! Very disappointed.

North building needed some end of season repairs other than that staff was more than helpful parking easy rooms were nice overall I enjoyed myself Id stay again

Cant even describe how horrible the room. Found 2 cockroaches, Shawn the guest relations wasnt friendly at all and bad odor throughout the building and room. Also when I was going to get to my room, someone else is occupying the room already which is creepy.

Good location, close to the beach, good parking, pool choices were great for the kids. No smoking rules are not followed/enforced and scent travels from balcony to balcony which was unpleasant for us as non-smokers. Overall great place for the price

Not good experience with this hotel, it was dirty and smell bad. Pools were good, but really bad communication with reception people, they did not tell you about wristbands for pool.

The pictures on the website are not accurate. You have to pay to rent the chairs and Umbrellas. Also the lazy river is truly lazy. There is no current and you aren’t allowed to have any floats, despite the picture having them! Our room was fairly clean, but this whole hotel needs some major upgrading.The location is fantastic! There is so much potential here!

I rented through vrbo with a private owner, but the resort is awful. No disinfecting throughout the day at elevators and public areas, no monitoring the amount of people in the pool, feces in the stairwell. I have not seen any staff walking around except to put up umbrellas on the lawn and when the elevators weren’t working. Even the employee that came to work on the elevator had his mask around his neck even though he was walking into a group of mostly unmasked people. A fraction of people were wearing masks on elevators or social distancing, despite it being a city ordinance. No ocean air on the balcony, just the smell of marijuana. No working sprayers to rinse off coming back in from the beach, so you’re bringing sand back up into each unit. It’s pretty sad that you post that you’re following guidelines to ensure the safety of guests just to get them to book out here, but really no one is doing that.

This hotel was absolutely horrible I recently stayed at this hotel and you could tell that the hotel in the middle had just been renovated the hotel on the right and left where old the room was extremely dirty I went and bought my own cleaning supplies to clean the room the beds were extremely uncomfortable I will never ever book at this hotel the people in the office when I checkout where extremely rude. When we check in they sent us to the wrong building to find our room I do not usually leave reviews but this place honestly was not worth the $400 we spent....

The most amazing view on the beach. One of only a couple hotels along the strip that have a lighted beach, pools! Hot tubs! And lazy river were awesome.... my first time to the beach. Stayed a whole week loved it. Rooms were always clean. Spacious. And loved the view.

Lets give this place a new name. Lets call it the Marijuana hotel. Room not terrible bedding was nice heat kept us in a lot of the stay but that was tough to do with the constant Marijuana smell coming from the stove vent and the outside. Spent a lot of time open both doors to blow the smell out which of course meant the AC useless. So basically I found that we paid around 500$ for three days worth of headache every time we went to the room. Contacted owner, front desk, maintenance two times they seemed uninterested. So if you partake this is the place cause doesnt look like they care.

The first thing me and my family saw when we walked in was a cockroach in the hallway. The hallways were disgusting, it looked like they havent been vacuumed in a very long time. Finally, the room was not cleaned. Hair all over the bathroom and trash everywhere. We stayed in the room for one minute maximum before leaving and cancelling our reservation. Only good thing was the location. Everything else was poor.

Was put in old building, when booking room was not given a chose. Only 2 elevators and one was stuck in 6th floor. Our room was on the 6th floor so other elevator would not stop and had to use stairs for the first day. The room was awful. Nothing was cleaned. Hair in the shower. Toilet was dirty. Half the stove did not work. Beds looked to be very old. No towels, and they dont provide coffee in rooms. Called front desk and they just made excuses of being short staffed. Had to go buy bleach to wipe everything down in order to feel comfortable enough to stay. Too late to find new place to stay Will not return.

The only place that my family stays at in Myrtle Beach. We love the Boardwalk. Clean, beautiful rooms, very friendly staff even when they are under the most stress.. We went around Tax time and they were REALLY busy.. But still friendly as ever ! The staff went out of their way to make sure we felt comfy. We love you BOARDWALK BEACH RESORT !!

The north tower is not the place to stay. The middle tower looked much nicer. We did not get the room we paid for. The room shown was clean with all white linens. The room we got was disgusting. Plus we got charged an extra 23 for a key fee and resort charge. Now i understand that covid is still going on but the pools were closed with beer cans floating in the bottom. So i am wondering what the fee was for. Not a pleasant experience.

The room was really nice. I could stay a few times over, but I got bit by bed bugs or sand fleas. Im confident it was bed bugs though.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! RUDE RUDE RUDE...The room was horrible i had to bleach down the bathroom! I had to ask for towels and linens. The pull out couch had pee all over it and we had to change the linens the morning manager wad rude and not helpful at all when she lied i asked her since u seen me curse a worker out run the camera back so we can see it and she couldnt show me cause she was lying. My daughter was bit up by something. Just a horrible stay...

My God!! They tried to rent us a room at their North Tower it was half closed down, noone else was staying there. It was dirty and very very scary. We got our money back and ended up leaving Murttle Beach

This place was alright to stay at. The front desk lady never told me on the phone you have to have a $200 deposit if your not 25 years old or older, so drove there then she told me so we had to leave again to go get money out of the bank cause it had to be in cash. No floats are allowed in the pool. Pools closed at 6pm. Rooms are kinda outdated. Fireworks right in front of the hotel was shot off all night long. Shower kept getting hot and then cold mostly cold the whole time.

Ppl working there are very rude. No water pressure in shower or hot water anywhere. Very out dated. Couldn’t sit on the one side of the balcony bc the water drips from the air conditioner above us. Elevators were scary to even use. The only thing nice was the outside sitting area n the beach. Pool closed at 6. Bc of the virus. While all other pools in the area were opened. They never mentioned it. Never again will we stay here.

I do not recommend this hotel is discussing. The beds aren’t even clean there was food and crumbs on the bed, and the bathroom was dirty.

I didnt like that the pool and lazy river was not open. I booked at a resort so my girls ages 2 & 3 could get in the pool. They should have posted on the website that the pools and lazy river was not open.

View is amazing, pricey though. We stayed in the middle building in a suite and it was very clean and well taken care of.

Beautiful beach and the waves are amazing. The rooms are decent, outdated but that doesnt matter to me. I love the fact its directly on the beach and only a 15 minute walk to the sky wheel. Lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. I rented the partial ocean view and was happy with it. Was very clean inside. Looks a lil dingy going up the halls but really not as bad as everyone else is Making it. If u want updated then this is not the place.

This was a nice place to have our vacation. The scenery is amazing. We were here for 4 days and 3 nights. The staff is nice an friendly and attentive to our needs. We will definitely be returning to this hotel!

The beach was the best part of the trip. I am very understanding especially during this time with Covid 19 however when we arrived til we left anytime we stepped into the hallway of it reeked of Marijuana. The refrigerator in the room still has stains/dirt all over it. The beds comfoter looked like it had not been washed in weeks. We had no towela i had to walk across the street to the office to get them. Theorizing door to the balcony would not close.

I called the property before making my reservation and I was told the amenities was open. Got to the resort and none of the amenities was NOT available as well I was given a smoking room which was dirty and smelt terrible. The manger said all she can do is apologize. So they lie to get your money and make you come when the amenities are not open then put you into dirty rooms

Fuacet handle off in one shower, jets didnt work in tub, door handle to sliding door to balcony falling off. Otherwise it was great for my first time to the ocean.

Had an amazing time at the Boardwalk. The room was beautiful, and everything was impeccably clean...The view was stunning...

Great view. Clean and nice for a family vacation. Cleaning service not offered and you have to report every single detail you find when you get there or they will charge you an extra $200 for cleaning fee. Bring your own towels because if there are spots on the towels its an extra charge too.

Took forever to check in, was charged a $200 deposit plus another $30 for resort fees. We stayed in the north building and the hallways were dirty and had a awful smell, the elevator looked like it was going to fall apart, got to our room and had to call the front desk because when we booked it said we payed for a ocean view room and what we had got was not that, then had to pay a $20 upcharge to get the room we paid for, the new room we moved to the carpet in front of the air conditioner was wet, the pools were closed even though all the other hotels pools were open then to top it off when we went to check out we had to wait 30 mins to get our deposit back because someone had to check the room. Will not be returning to this hotel!

None of the swimming pools or hot tub Was working! When I made my reservation To my knowledge the swimming pools or running properly fun I have a 2 1/2-year-old who doesn’t want to spend the whole day at the beach one of the reasons why our pig boardwalk was so my son can go swimming we spent more than half of our time in the condo

The room was soo small. The front desk staff were really rude . Both women’s didn’t want to give me a other wrist band because I left it in my room that I check out. It just bothers me that I couldn’t use the pool the day before because it was closed but now I can’t use it because I had to check out at 11 and I left my wrist band there and I want to use the Pool before I left. But they told me no and telling me that isn’t their fault that it was closed. It’s a sad experience because I paid for a room and to go to the pools now I can’t.

A good place to stay. Gotta great deal on 8 nights. Friendly staff, room a bit small for a kitchenette, but great location and clean room. No bed bugs or roaches. Housekeeping good. I will come here again.

If I could leave No Stars I would. There House Keepers are thefts. We told them we didn’t need room service signed off that we didn’t need cleaning. She watched us leave to go get food then she went in our room and went through our belongs and stole some of our stuff. We called the management and went and spoke to them and they did nothing. Say she was along time employee and has never been caught stealing. Do Not Stay in This Place!!!!! Our short weekend trip was ruined. All they were willing to do was give us one night back. Did nothing about the stealing no apologies nothing.

My husband and I have been staying here for years but this will be our last time due to the pitiful Custmer service that we endured. Our room was not ready at 2 o clock and I was told the other resorts check in time are 4 and I should be happy. We check in at 2:30 and after walking across the street to the office twice because the keys would not workmaintenance is here changing the whole lock on our door. Management refused to compensate for any inconvenience that was cause or time lost on our vacation. This is our wedding anniversary. Unfortunately theres no vacancies anywhere else so we are at the mercy of this craziness right now. This one star is only for the nice maintenance guy who knows more about customer service than the front desk.

We had a great stay! The rooms and pool were clean and well kept. The beach and view were inbeatable!

I accidentally rated it 5 stars because I thought it said, literally anything besides this hotel, for the love of god, if you decide to go on vacation here please, I beg you, do not check in to this hotel, oh my godddd this hotel room sucked so bad the elevator is gonna break and kill us all, the room service doesnt even exist and if there was a 0.1 star review I would give it to it, because the only good thing of this whole place is the beach and the pool, NECT DOOR

The hotel was perfect for the one night stay, not sure that I would recommend for longer than a weekend. We were in the older building and the carpet smelled a bit musty and the beds were not very comfortableOther than that it was a great location and a beautiful view .

Beautiful views from the 14th floor, the rooms are spacious, little outdated but for the price you can not beet it, the kitchen came well equipped. The pools were a big plus for the kids. Over all very happy with our stay.

This place was a disappointment, beyond historical, down in the dumps. Dont go if youre not in the NEW BUILDING.

Location was great, room was clean and very spacious. The view was perfect. The beach was very nice and groomed every morning. Ample parking at several locations and access to multiple pool areas was a plus. The only negatives, beds were a little overused and had dents from use, people kept sliding ads for local restaurants through the door ALL DAY. I would choose this condo location again.

I wish I could give a 0. The hotel room was poorly and I saw a rodent running around on the last day. Some of the lights did not work and there was no tv in the room. It was very dirty and did not give us what we needed. There were loud noises so I could not sleep and it stunk.

We rented adjoining rooms for a week through VRBO. The pictures on VRBO were outdated. The furniture in the room was tired, and in many places broken or stained and worn. The rooms were also infested w roaches. The hotel does have several pools hot tubs and a lazy river and the view is very nice. The cleanliness issues and vermin however will keep us from returning.

There prices are never what they say I was getting ocean view then when I get here pay it wasnt

Wasn’t a bad stay in my opinion. Rooms are quite small but the view was great. Only thing that I didn’t like was how the balcony doors made so much noise. You could hear when the top floor people would slide to open their door. Other than that, it wasn’t a bad experience. Housekeeping and front desk people were kind!!

I absolutely love the Boardwalk. Our family has been staying here over 2 decades. We refuse to stay anywhere else. Love love love the Boardwalk!!! Our home away from home!

It old and ancient need update bad it has a bad smell will never rent again from there is so low class definitely need to update there website because it false advertising the room arent anything like the website I give it one stars.

This a great spot in Myrtle Beach. We have been coming for years! Great pools with a fun lazy river and a spot for everyone in the family: jacuzzi to kiddie pool. Beach is down the path. Great ocean views! Very accesible bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Loved it! Definitely me and my girlfriends favorite area near Myrtle Beach.

Exterior amenities (pools and lounge areas) are very picturesque. Rooms are dated, but good water temp and pressure in shower. The light in the kitchen did not work properly. Toilet leaked and maintenance was called twice to repair. Overall stay was satisfactory, but will not stat here again.

Please try to stay away from this hotel! When you see these reviews please believe them. I myself read reviews on this hotel and sadly I didnt believe them despite seeing reviews of roaches, dirt, and bad housekeeping. First of all if you are under $21, be prepared to put down a $200 deposit and sign a strict contract basically ensuring you dont break anything, even though half of the items listed are already broken or torn. Please note that this hotel should be a last resort only if you have no other option because this is not what you call a leisure hotel! I stayed in the North tower, and upon arrival the downstairs reeks of weed, the elevator looks like it came straight out of a horror movie; the door opens before the elevator reaches the floor so youre practically jumping out the elevator, the hall ways smell like urine, and the room is no better. Upon opening our door for the first time your hotel room key is an actual key so no fancy swipe in which they make you pay a $5 deposit for at check in, in addition you pay another $15 just to use the amenities so be aware of these hidden fees. The mirror in the room had a huge crack through it, the room was non-smoking however smelt like a smoke cloud, the chair had a rip through it, the bathroom was dirty, I even showered with my shoes on! Even after smelling the horrid smoke in the room we called the hotel and smoke to them about it and all they offered was air freshener this is shocking because I happen to have breathing problems when introduced to smoke, we were offered no discount or other compensation. THIS HOTEL IS HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT STAY HERE! Please listen to this review and dont do it!

Hotel seriously needed an update. Check in building/lobby was about the only nice part of the hotel. The room was outdated and did not look anything like the pictures online. There was stains on the chairs and pull out couch, holes in the carpets and bathroom walls. The mini fridge was dirty I had to clean it myself before using and it didn’t stay shut. Only one elevator worked which always smelled like weed. The floors to the elevator looked like they where coming apart. The ice machine always had water around it with huge puddles and no “caution” sign around the water either. I’m 7 months pregnant and always had to watch for the water so I didn’t slip and fall. The lazy river only had 5 inter tubes so don’t get your hopes up for using the lazy river. Chairs out on the patio where super old and very rusty. Only good part of the hotel was the location, front staff was friendly and the AC in the rooms worked great.

Stayed in main tower. Very clean, beautiful beach view, & friendly staff.

Booked 2 units 739 and 740 ... stove not working the couch was untouchable filthy sticky...ive took some pictures of stained sheets and mold garbage left behind bed from previous rentals and a couple of Cockroaches someone needs to inspect the unit immediately not ok to rent something like that..

We stay here a LOT @MB. This time we did have problems with bath linens not being left in our room on 2 out of 4 days. Room was clean and tidy. Decent off season rate.

Two stars for the beachfront view. The room we had in the South Tower was disgusting. Shower/bathtub wasnt draining properly, sheets were covered in stains, and the carpet looked it was 25+ years old. Outdoor pools were okay and they were clean for the most part. I would not stay here again and I recommend you look elsewhere as well.
