Hotel was nice with a great view. Wish they took more pride in their hotel. Bathroom had 4 light bulbs out. They knew we were staying for 3 days so we should have been provided with enough wash clothes and towels. Housekeeping was quick to provide once we called for more. Overral its an option in the future to stay but would not be my 1st selection.
Our stay was amazing for Halloween 2020. The hotel was clean we loved the onsite parking, the pools and Jacuzzis were clean and open til 11pm. My husband and I would definitely stay here again.
We had never been to Myrtle Beach before and booked this based off the amenities and reviews and hotels.com. This was not a cheap we can get away however the accommodations would have you think otherwise. As soon as you pull up the hotel reeks of marijuana. There was no hotel staff managing the hotel guest as people were running around wild. The room bed was not made when we checked in everything else seem to be OKCould have been cleaner but it is an older complex. The air conditioner worked wonderful. We called down to the front desk to have our bed changed as you could tell the bed was not made or clean and we were advised they had no pillows blankets or towels left would be like another room staff leaves at 11 PM so if you need anything after 11 PM I guess you are just SOL. So we went to Walmart and bought our own linens. On the beach there were people shooting off fireworks all night at one point we felt like they were hitting the hotel it was so loud.Outside on the street there were cops everywhere at one point we even saw Patty wagon go down the boulevard which I’ve never seen in my life I felt like we were add a spring break college vacation. At the pool outside there were people sitting in the hot tub smoking blunts in the middle of the day with kids and people around, even walking around carrying it like a cigarette. We were very disappointed but tried to make the best of it, needless to say we checked out very early on Sunday morning and will not be returning.
Room smelled like cigarettes and went too bad and it was closed super early in spite of it saying closes at 8:00 won’t ever stay there again and a 50 dollar resort fee was ridiculous
Giving 3 stars because its a 3 star hotel, built in 1986 stayed here with air bnb, in a renovated 1 bedroom pretty nice room, building is kinda run down in general.
Been coming here since I was a kid now Im 50 this place has never been a disappointment. Ive tried other place in Myrtle Beach but seem to always come back to this place. You cant beat the convenience and it decently priced in the off season. Only thing I wished is that the pool bar had been open when we stayed but Im guessing the damn Corona shut it down. But we will be back soon .
I liked the pool and the hot tubes were all in working order. I liked the direct access to the beach. I liked the room was clean and equipped, everything worked. I did not like the 3 elevators for a hotel this size. I did not like it had no food on site.
I really enjoyed my one night get a way with an ocean view suite. Everything was clean and up to date.
This is a good place to stay! I got a rate half price to both motels beside this one!! Very nice and clean!! The pool chairs were really nasty and a black cat was drinking out of the pool!! The pool area was dark at night!! Lots of folks partying around pool late
Beds were the cheapest they could find... great location, but angle view can suck depending on where you are... pools & hot tubs were clean, rooms were clean... better bedding would have been great...
Overall this was a nice place to stay, my wife and i stayed 3 days with our 2 small children. Great location, just a few minutes away from popular attractions. Staff was very nice and helpful, our room was clean and complete as advertised. I didnt give 5 stars because of the smell of cigarettes in the hallways, our room was fine but getting to it was uncomfortable due to the smell.
Never Ever Again! We could smell the mold the moment we stepped off the elevator. The room was not fit for a homeless pet. Will address Monster and BlueGreen about this.
Stayed on the 19th floor. Quiet and cozy. Will definitely stay again.
Front desk managers were nice upon check-in. Conveniently located within walking distance to the beach. There are 3 pools and 3 outside hot tubs. I saw the pool crew cleaning the pools and testing the waters in the mornings, which made me feel like they were on top of the chemicals and cleanliness. Our room was AWESOME!! 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, incredibly convenient for our party of 5. Also located close to shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend this place!
The Place Resort has been a very nice surprise. The room was comfortable and I love the fact that it has a full kitchen. The bed was pretty nice, a little to firm for my taste, but it wasnt bad. The furniture was comfortable. The TV was a flat screen and worked well. The balcony is a little small and it would be a tight fit for 2 people to sit there at the same time but its not impossible. My only complaint was the shower head. It was a little on the stingy side with the water. I was here in late February so the pool wasnt open yet but the sauna, steam room and fitness room were nice. Over all it has been a great experience.
The Palace resort... hmm its not a palace but it is a place to stay and is good for the money. The room had no bugs unless door was open. People are friendly and room design is okay. Next time I will stay somewhere different but like I said still okay.
The popcorn ceiling was following on the sofa And the floor no cleaning service we stayed four nights sleep on the same sheets had to take her own towels down to the front desk to get more the pool was dirty hot tub was dirty so that should sum it up
Ebony has made our stay impeccable ! I’ve never met a more friendly and helpful person ! She was very accommodating and took time out of her very very busy day to go above and beyond to make sure me and Family were completely comfortable. Having a stressful hotel management job I’ve truly never met a more pleasant hotel manager or staff . I want Ebony to be my forever friend ! Thank you, Ebony ! We will be back every year just to see you !
Rooms and baths were small. Condo was filthy. Balconies were barely big enough for 2 people. We wont stay there again.
Well I searched everywhere for an oceanfront room. I chose your hotel because I found an oceanfront room. Needless to say, I got an angled ocean view room... even after paying the additional money to ensure I got the room I reserved on this site. Wasn’t very happy. Also since I didn’t have an oceanfront room I had to listen to the radio playing down by the pool. I couldn’t even hear my TV unless I closed my patio door. I wasn’t please with having the radio at full sound from 9 am until the evening. I was on the 8th floor and had no peace
Our first room was 1405 and the door clearing had been kicked in, deadbolt and main lock did not work. We were moved to 1910 the room had not been properly clean and proof of this was someones used washcloth hanging from the back of the bedroom door. They did not enforce masks even though signs clearly said mandatory all over the lobby and elevators. We stayed here when it was brand new, you would never guess it was the same establishment now.
Absolutely loved the view!! Nice and quite, good for relaxation for a quite weekend getaway!
The resort is not new by any means and it shows. The room we had was clean, the kitchen was clean. But the room was very dated. Leather furniture was old, kitchen cabinets and countertops were old and the room had carpet which is not very conductive for beach livingwhich is not very conductive for beach living. We paid a decent price so I guess we got what we paid for him but if youre looking for a nice high-end resort this isnt it. I just wish theyd take the time to update some of the rooms and make them more inviting.
Had pretty much everything! All we had to do was have a great time.
Very old. Clean but outdated. I reserved an ocean front room and got one with a view between two buildings and then only from the itty-bitty balcony with ripped and unusable wicker chairs. Way overpriced. I paid over $900 for 3 nights. Im very disappointed both with the room and with Airbnb for their portrail of it.
Good location but very old, dingy, and in desperate need of renovation
Our one day adventure we checked in at 4pm checked out at 11 am. All the reviews I read before going made me afraid of what I had gotten myself into. Staff friendly and more willing to help. My room I loved our room we were in 302 Oceanfront it was just what we needed. Clean room quiet atmosphere. We didnt get to use the pool or sauna but I really enjoyed my stay.
A condo facility run like a hotel. All the ammenities of a beach hotel but the convenience of home too. The condos are probably fine but despite the new paint it looks dated and worn. The decor is 1980s beach. The deck leading to the beach is extremely slippery. There are no caution signs. The shower at the gate works sporadically and the hose in its place just makes the conditions more dangerous. There is no staff at the pools or hot tubs. There was no safety equipment easily accessible for emergencies.
The room was okay, but the building in general, was pretty lousy. Everything was dilapidated and dingy. The whole 15th floor wreaked of marijuana the entire four days I was there and it looked like the elevators hadnt been vacuumed in a few months.
We really enjoyed the views. The people at the front desk let us move our room to a higher floor when we requested it. The room was spacious for a hotel room. One thing to note is the entire floor we stayed on smelled of stale cigarette smoke, though the room itself did not. The restaurant and bar was not serving food in the off season; however, the hotel next door was owned by the same company and was close enough to walk to. The employees were also very willing to recommend places to go and things to do in the area.
The interior is fine, feels a bit dated. However, the exterior space is well maintained and feels like a small resort. The proximity to the beach is also stunning, only a few steps away!
Nice room. Sofa bed was terrible. Made you sleep at an angle with feet lower than back of sofa. Kitchen was very clean, but cooking utensils were outdated and sparse. Garbage disposal leaked. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Everytime Ive stayed here, everyone has been so friendly. Rooms are beautiful and great views. Definitely will be back, without a doubt!!
Staff.that worked here were very friendly, the women at the front desk were not as friendly for whatever reason. We enjoyed the drinks at the bar, the pool and the accessibility to the beach. The rooms were unique but perfect for my friend and myself. The elevators!!!! Oh lordy, we were on the 17th floor.. so the wait on elevators was hilariously long. The elevators outside in the parking garage were a little sliver of hell, bring an ice pack with you if you are using those elevators!!!
Took my daughter here and she was in aww. We were on the 16 floor with a great view. Her favorite part was the sunrise. Great father/daughter trip, and lasting memories. Hotel was great for the price, sure it could use some updates, but we didnt spend much time there anyway. Great staff. Will be back!!
Very clean and well furnished. Stayed in queen studio efficiency, couldve been bigger layout, but wasnt bad. What it lacked in space, it made up in comfort and appeal. Balcony is small due to these rooms being on a corner, an has angled view of ocean. Overall, it was very nice and not too expensive!
My family had fun. Kids loved it. So did my boyfriend. I took my family for a vacation and this place was just what we needed
The stay was not terrible.... but there are things that could have made it great. When we arrived I noticed hair in the master bathtub and on the toilet, as well as a dirty countertop. No big deal, things happen. I cleaned it myself. The room and view was pretty. The biggest down fall was we asked for trash bags 3 times all throughout the day and never received any. Either the front desk doesn’t communicate with housekeeping or housekeeping doesn’t do their job. We asked for towels every other day and only received some 1 time and that was on day 2 ..... the same day we were told we couldn’t have new washrags because “they had none in the building”. The pools and hot tubs were very clean and were cleaned every single morning (we sat on our balcony during the morning time).
I booked our room through Priceline, when we arrived we were given a one bedroom when I booked a two bedroom. The front desk informed me I would have to contact Priceline and have them update the reservation - not a big deal. I called Priceline and they spoke to the front desk and told them they would update the room type. The new reservation never came through the system. The front desk spoke with Priceline AGAIN and again the correct room type did not come through. The desk would not update our room on their end saying they could not change a Priceline reservation even tho they had talked to them TWICE and confirmed we had booked a 2 bedroom. Their communication and contract with Priceline is very poor and I as the guest had to wait over 4 hours to receive the correct room type. The room itself was great, once we were in the correct room.
We come here every year and really enjoy it.
This is a good place to stay at if you are on a budget. They offer breakfast in the morning for free if you book from them. Breakfast is only for two, so for additional people you need to pay $9+tax. I really liked their security and policies about parking. Hotel definitely needs update, but our room was clean and well stocked. Since, this hotel is right on the beach and farther away from main Myrtle Beach, this was a big plus for our family.
I love the room tbey give us afterall
Room was old. The room also had a musky smell. I thought by opening sliding door it would air out. Not much luck. A 1 night stay was enough. Best part was waking up seeing the sunrise.
We were so happy as always. Staff met our needs and very friendly.our room was awesome .would stay again
Hotel was great, but if there is going to be rooms that are rented out by their owners the hotel staff should know some insight about how it works. My family and I waited almost an hour before we could get into our room that was fully prepaid for almost a year in advance. Tried talking to the hotel staff and they said it wasnt their room (in their building mind you) that there was nothing they could do.
Need more elevators or have multiple check out times. Checking out is a headache big time. Other than that my stay was good. Room was clean staff was nice. Great view of the beach
So this place is really nice. They do make you pay a resort fee per day I ended up having to pay $60 on top of what I already paid. The WiFi is great but cell signal is trash with text and calls even when connected to WiFi. The bedding is the typical hotel print bedding.
Condo 1812 is the best!!! Rented from a private owner airbnb which was week worth the stay for 5 days.
Hi, I wanted to take the time to share this information with others and thought it may be helpful.we stayed here a few times in the past and booked for 2020 July 4th. Since COVID-19 spread and we hear a lot of news about beaches being the hotspot for spread, we decided to skip our vacation this year.we reached out the resort several times via phone and left voicemails for cancellation and also sent emails. But no response and finally I get to speak with the manager and I was told by her that they cant do anything and we ended up losing $500 for nothing. It is very unfair that the business is not supporting customers during these uncertain situations and taking opportunity to keep the money for free.
We arrived early and the room was ready and service was awesome, we will return in the fall.
Our unit was nice, but I believe it was owned by a third party. Our room was booked here though IGH rewards, I trusted where they were having us stay. Upon arrival our Lyft driver informed us while dropping us off not to walk around here after 9pm, we had a bar tender and two other drivers tell us the same.Three times I walked out my room and it smelled so strong of marijuana. The pool area is what made us feel ok about staying, along with the view from our room. The pools and hot tub were clean and the patio area was nice. The inside of the building could use some upgrades as well. Overall I would stay in either North Myrtle Beach, check out Hilton Head, or Pawleys Island. I would not come back to Myrtle Beach.
Nice bathrooms. Very clean. Thats important
We were thoroughly impressed with our room. It was very clean, the view was amazing, and the bathroom was so cool with the rainfall-type shower head and the automatic lights that turn on when you walk in. Only minor complaint I have is the front desk staff. The two ladies we dealt with seemed like they didn’t want to be bothered and when the drink machine took our quarters and didn’t give us a drink, we were met with a “just call the number on the side” while they stared at their phones. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Rooms were not cleaned... Front staff was not pleasant... TVs didn’t work... Blinds were broken... furniture was unclean and parts of it broken
Everything was good. My room was very pretty. Staff were wonderful as always. Everyone greets you whenever they see you.
Nice accommodations. Great view from our floor.
Amazing great time fr well worth it have to do it again
Steps feom the beach. Short walk to all. Great sunset and marvelous sunrise! Fitness center.Great place to be if sleep and plush rooms are not your option.
A great place to stay
Best view u can get
Best thing about this resort is its located right on the beach. Rooms are a bit dated and basic. Facilities are limited but adequate. Security was good day and night. Could use a good cleaning in common areas. Staff was friendly.
Decent two night stay. Outdated but I had an awesome view from the 21st floor
Im usually an optimist and keep this as optimistic as possible.First of all, we had a room at one of the higher floors, and we had 2 bedrooms & bathrooms with a nice view of the ocean. We just left a residence inn that was nice so this hotel didnt compare at all.The staff was very nice and accommodating and friendly. The down side is that those hotel is old from the outside and the inside. It could really use an update in every regard. It is located right on the beach though, so it got 3 stars for that and the staff, but the property itself is less to be desired. Not sure I would start here if this place is not updated
Nice comfortable and at beach front
My family and I ended up getting the opportunity to stay at The Palace for free over a holiday weekend. Of course we would take a free vacation to Myrtle! Just from pulling into the hotel lot, we regretted our decision to come. But we thought that maybe just the outside needed some TLC so we checked in and went to our room. Disgusting! We almost turned back around and drove right home but our children (toddler age) were so excited we just couldn’t. We didn’t even want to take our shoes off or sit on the furniture in the room it was that old and dirty. Let’s just say, I almost slept in our vehicle during the stay.....
Right on the beach. Clean. Friendly 2 pools hot tubs. Great location.
Great rite on ocean friendly staff
Second time to this place. I only like because its close to the airport. But they need to upgrade the front desk area because it doesnt feel like Im walking into a place Im paying $800 for 3nights. The tub in 1205 kept dripping water, the sheet on the bed couldnt have been changed because I found hair in the bed and the sheets didnt have the clean crisp feel. I dont whi had to pay an extra $7 when all fees where paid ahead of time, and I mean all fees. The bed was worn. Otherwise the place looks decent.
We’ve stayed here multiple times, but this time is our last. It’s sad when people that work for the HOA make the guests feel belittled and are just plain rude making snarky comments about the guests to other guests. Also, if the guests are to abide by the covid rules of 1 to an elevator unless traveling together, the HOA employees need to as well & not get on the elevator with guests and palace resort employees.
This place was a dump. Fortunately I do not like typing a lot but I will tell you it was very dirty and not well kept at all. I made a complaint with The front desk and they said that repairs will be made and when I returned to my hotel room 9 hours later the only thing that was fixed with my bed. The door knob was not fixed, there was still Dirt and debris swept into one corner. I was on the 23rd floor on the North side of the building and my view was amazing that was the only.... absolute only good part about this hotel
This was our first, but definitely not our last, stay at The Palace Resort. My husband and I stayed in a beautiful, updated queen OF studio with a well equipped, full kitchen. EVERY member of the staff was friendly. The common areas were very clean. Breakfast was great! We didnt use the pools or hot tubs, but they were nice, clean, and easily accessible. I had to include the picture of Wilson, a souvenir cup with a cold adult beverage from The Palace Bar :) The covered parking was the icing on the cake. On our way out, I will be booking a weekend birthday get away next month!
Loved this place! Convenient to e everything! Will definitely stay here again!!!
We liked the proximity to the ocean, but this facility is extremely outdated and noticed multiple attempts to patch and fix various items in our room. Picture clips on the wall with no art work. Bathroom vanity had humidity damage with material peeling open. The layout was strange. The bed was placed in a corner of the room, but you could not see the TV. Parking was easily accessible.
I have a stressful job and work long hours. I took a 3 day vacation, by myself, to the beach to fish and relax. The Palace resort was just wonderful. I stayed in unit 1003, which is an oceanfront sun suite. I warn you, it is very small. But perfect for 2 people. Since I was by myself, it was absolutely perfect. The Room was decorated and Caribbean blues, and was immaculately clean. Its on the 10th floor so you have a great view of the ocean. The hotel is awesome. Everything is spican span. It was very quiet. The staff was exceptional. I didnt do much in Myrtle Beach except fish. I did some surf fishing in the evenings and early mornings when there were no swimmers. I fished on Garden City pier which was excellent. I am planning on going back in November to do some more fishing before the season is over. I will stay at the palace resort.
Clean pools and hot tubs, on beach
They are an EXCELLENT resort and hospitable staff! Our family event was AMAZING!
Decent but not the best, great views but decor in room is outdated and stained
Very nice and friendly people has everything
Wish I could post pics... this place was disgusting!! Room wasn’t ready at 4:00 as promised... they moved us to a different room and it was horrible. Worse room I’ve ever seen! Far from a resort!! Any regular hotel would be cleaner... there was food and hair all over the place... looked like black mold on the ceilings in the bedroom and walls... was told I was getting a King bed and an ocean front room... they don’t even have king beds and the room was an ocean view room. Bed looked like a double. Pulled back the sheets and there were orange crumbs and something else on the sheets. Bathtub looked nasty and had black stuff on the bottom... would’ve needed flip flops to use as shower shoes because there was no way I was standing in that shower. Elevators were super slow and there was always a line and wait to get on them. They did refund our money and we went elsewhere to enjoy the rest of that day and our vacation. There is no way I would ever stay there. 100% disappointment. This was supposed to be a deal because it was affiliated with a timeshare and we were supposed to save lots of money... I was thankful to get my money back and pay lots more elsewhere so we could actually feel clean and enjoy our vacation. Not the way to roll out the red carpet of you are expecting customers to buy into a timeshare. I went with Hilton and ended up buying a vacation package from them.
Check in and check out went smoothly. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was very good. Buffet and bar staff were great, personable. Room was very clean and at a comfortable temperature. Needed: Service elevator for housekeeping staff only. More luggage carts. Glad the lobby elevators were upgraded.
Terrace at the front desk was amazing. Super friendly and welcoming from the start, really set the tone for the stay! The place is nice and on the beach. Beds and pillows are a little outdated but everything else is fine, the rooms are very spacious!
NO NO NO DONT STAY HERE after complaints. Mold in and around vents on seat cushions and around base of cabinets. They finally sent up someone to clean the room. Bleach smell was so strong even house keeping manager came in and said she couldnt handle the odor. Bleach was used on the walls also ruining the paint on them. They have to repaint. They also bleached my shirt. Coffee pot was broken glass had circular cracks in it. Toilet tank would continue to run. Had to stop in manually. If we werent here for the vacation rental company we were here for we would be stuck in that room because the Palace staff said there was nothing they could do until morning. Yes we had to switch hotels. THEY NEVER OFFERED US ANOTHER ROOM. It was that bad.
We had a great family vacation, nice room, great staff,we would definitely go back..
Jackie was very pleasant and appropriately took care of our outdated room. We got the room we originally requested 2002, and were allowed to move from the very outdated room 1902. Thank you Jackie, you were very helpful! Now we understand the great differences from room to room. You were very polite and respectful. We appreciate you!
We enjoyed our stay and the check in and out was excellent. Was not expecting to have to put a 100.00 deposit down but didnt have a choice. Would use again
Awesome view and good apartment
Loved my stay. Staff there was very pleasant. Would stay there again. My view was great.
Great rate room was amazing
This is cool place to visit.
Nice staff. Maintenance is on point when you need them. Building/room is kinda old and out dated.Lunch and dinner isnt available in September. thats awful. No access to ice machines. The ice maker in the room didnt work.
To me, ...Pretty great! Loved the stay!
Room was well decorated, clean and cozy
Cleanish needs updates staff is great though
Needs a little TLC, small repairs would make a world of difference.
Hallways smell like stale cigarettes and the security goes over board.
When we got to The Palace to check in, we found out the actual owner of the room that was booked for us was actually across the street at the Wave Runner hotel. The Palace had nothing to do with the room booked through hotels.com. The person at the front desk of the Wave Runner was rude and didnt seem to care much about any kind of customer service. The room itself was not as described. It was dirty and 3 days into our stay we saw roaches. When we asked for clean sheets, because housekeeping never came to clean, we were questioned as to why we needed clean sheets. This stay was very disappointing to say the least. To book a room at the actual Palace hotel, do not go through hotels.com.
Clean, very nice view, everything you need in one spot.
