Excellent location. Kitchenette provided all that we needed. Beachside view is outstanding. Staff is pleasant, quick, and thoughtful. Bed is like a block of concrete with a thin sheet over it. A sleeping bag on the ground is far more comfortable. View of a fox in the dunes 15 minutes before sunrise was a very nice surprise.

The beds were comfortable. You don’t get room service right now due to Covid so you have to call daily for anything you need but they were quick to bring it. Maybe they should put brooms and vacuums in rooms especially when your there for a week vacation. Bathrooms could be cleaned better. The location was good. Indoor pool was nice.

Need a break and it was very relaxing and really enjoyed the lazy river.

Stayed a week and enjoyed the view from the 5th floor. Pools and hot tubs were clean. Room was a efficiency oceanfront and was clean. Access to the beach is not far at all. Shoreline cafe had good food and great friendly service. I will be planning another vacation there

Beautiful pent house condo. Amenities are spread out in strange areas but are definitely functional. For pool access you have to go to the first floor in the parking garage. Other pool is on the 7th floor. Overall nice resort

Hotel was clean and quiet. Front desk manager left alot to be desired. Hotel restaurant was out of most food so I went out but the rooms were nice. If you like the heavy smell of marianna then this would also be a good place but the room was nice. The parking was a issue but we got that resolved.

We paid $335 for 3 nights. Our hotel door is about 10 feet from the beach. The balcony we had was small but it had a beautiful view of the ocean. The room itself 8th floor was nice. We bought our own bedding and towels. The TVs were like 22” and 24” inches. Since typically they stop all liquor sales at bars and stores at 11 (but cause of COVID 7pm) I would have liked a bigger tv in the evening. The shower is big enough for 2 and the tub is deep enough for a bath. Housekeeping wasn’t available bc of COVID and advertisers kept sliding fliers under our door but you can’t hear through the walls so that’s nice. The mattresses on the queen beds were comfortable and felt new and the full kitchen was stocked with cookware and dishes. The indoor and roof pools and jacuzzi closed at 10 but were a good size, warm and clean. The check in staff was kind and helpful. The garage was easy enough to get in and out of and their hotel restaurant was quiet with friendly staff and clean. So all around Id say really good for the price.

The resort is a great location and the front-desk staff were very helpful. It is a bit worn, but still a very enjoyable experience.

Very satisfied with my stay everything was cleaned the balcony view for the beach and the pool on the 7th floor was amazing will be coming back very soon.

I’m currently staying here I paid for ocean front I’m in a side view when I asked the front desk he told me ocean view means you see the ocean. So that was very disappointing also the one bedroom condo is trash it really small with an even smaller balcony I talk to the front desk they told me they can up grade for a price which is not a problem but they said not until tomorrow so for one night that is paid for I have to stay in a room that i can’t even sleep in because the bed is right by the door and all you here is people back and forth . I’ve stayed here the last couple of years and I have never been so disappointed. I won’t be coming back this trip has ruined my husbands birthday

Good staff nice place great location

Its an old unit, the furniture has not been updated, however everything was clean and usable. The unit is very small, and I dont think Ive ever seen a kitchen as small as the one that is in this unit. It reminds me a lot of being in a motorhome without slide outs. The resort itself has some beautiful views and all of the pools are well maintained. The beach access is centrally located, and there is also another access going to the beach that is public, so you have plenty of space to get where you need to go. They have a large parking garage and handicap accessibility. To some people its not a big deal, but to those of you who are like me, their sheets feel like sandpaper! Make sure you bring your own! The staff are very personable and helpful with locations around the area that you might want to know about. I found even the cleaning staff to be helpful. If they had a 3.5 star rating thats what I would give them. If youre expecting a five-star resort, youre definitely off the mark, however, its definitely not a roach motel either.

We are loving our stay. Very nice and helpful staff. Had a problem with our AC when we arrived. They were able to fix it super quick and the room cooled within minutes. Super fast response and kudos to the repairmen who was lighting fast, super professional, and very polite. 10/10 Would recommend.

An awesome place for families, kids, 5 hot tubs and 4 pools are well enough to please even a grandma, working buffet is a big plus, most of the rooms equipped with the kitchen. Would definitely book next season!!!

Great location and price for being on the beach. We got a regular hotel room and was disappointed to find it didnt have a microwave. However, past that not bad. Great views and the pools were cool.

Its October so not peak season. The room was pretty gross. Stained walls. Stained furniture. Stained filthy carpet. Dishwasher falling apart. Microwave cracked. Fridge dented up and dirty. We covered the furniture with flat sheets so we didnt have to touch them and put sheets on the floor so our kids could play. Pretty much everywhere was gross. The pool was nice and there were plenty of them but then the towel holders were always empty. If we come back to mb next year, I hope we pick somewhere else.

This place is great. Large rooms with plenty of space. Conveniently located right on the beach with a lot of places close by to eat at.

Its a resort that hasnt been updated since it was made, however long ago. Humidity warped our bathroom door so it didnt shut unless forced. Room carpet is super thin, doesnt seem like it is regularly cleaned. Oceanview, pools, lazy river, and beachfront all makeup for it though.

Excellent, we stayed at Avista ocean resort down the road the night before and were completely miserable. We were so excited when checking into this one. We will definitely be back on our anual vacation, no more trying to find a good hotel in Myrtle Beach we have oficially found our favorite.

We had an oceanfront room. The room was very clean, beautiful view. The amenities were great, though I feel that pool towels should have been provided. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Decided to come here in June for our Wedding Anniversary. We had a very nice stay. Our beach front view was beautiful. Our room was clean and organized. I do wish they had a broom and dustpan available in the room so we could have cleaned up the sand we tracked in throughout the day. Our room had a small kitchen which came with some basic pots, pans, flatware, cutlery etc. It was very helpful when we wanted to stay in and make our meals.

Ample parking, reasonable rates. Facility is showing some age but nice spot. Family oriented.

Very first time ever in Myrtle Beach. I stumbled across the Grande Shores doing a google search. I must say my husband and I enjoyed our stay. Right on the beach, great access to stores and even better a restaurant on the premise. My only con is upon check in I was asked to swipe my card for incidentals which is fine, but was not made aware of the small charge placed. It was not until I overheard someone else conversation. ( maybe a sign posted will help) also upon checking out I was asked two times by housekeeping what time am I leaving. (9:15am 10:20 am) I thought checkouts were at 11 instead I departed at 10:27am since the staff seemed rushed. These minor coaching opportunities did not take away from the comfortably, location, access and cleanliness of the facility.Thank you for an awesome stay as we celebrated part two of our 12 year anniversary.

I thought we would have a wonderful anniversary weekend, our rooms were never cleaned by the housekeeping staff, had to ask for towels. Very disappointed.

My overall stay here was pleasant. We had a few hiccups with a room in the beginning but nothing they couldnt fix. The rooms were very clean and had plenty of room for our family of 5 including a baby. The staff was great and brought us anything we ringed for. We stayed in an ocean front efficiency room with 2 queens. Everyone is right about it being a little outdated but honestly we didnt care. The rooms were still kept nice. I do wish the bathrooms were bigger. Trying to care for kids in that small bathroom was a little uncomfortable. The pools/lazyrivers are kept very clean. Honestly a great place for busy families with kiddos, lots to do!

The hotel room was very clean so I will give them that, however, the parking garage is very small (fine for small cars, not so much for the F150 I was driving), the bed was super hard & uncomfortable & the shower barely worked. Overall it was ok for 2 nights.

For the most part this place was great and the people was very nice and helpful with a mistake on my end. Only thing is they could have done a little better with all this stuff just laying around the parking deck. I seen a review from 2 months prior and it was exactly the same. ***EDIT **** HOUSEKEEPING STOLE LIQUOR OUT OF MY FRIDGE AND WHEN I TOLD THE LADY AT THE DESK SHE ACT LIKED YOU DIDN’T HAVE A CARE IN THE WORLD. This place is great for a family! There are pools, hot tubes, elevators & GREAT clean rooms! And for us working people the price is right!!The staff was great& will come back for sure

Not impressed with this hotel based on the pictures. Very outdated. Shower wasnt even draining. Room door stuck, sliding door to the balcony didnt lock due to age. Pools didnt look clean. Only good thing was the location to the beach.

I was a little disappointed with the condor we had due to it needed to be updated but it was cleaned daily for us. The bar next to the pool was good and the gentleman that work it was outstanding, the only thing I didnt like about the pool bar it closed at 4:00 or 4:30. The restaurant that was attached to the resort was totally awesome, the food was great and the service was outstanding and they where very nice. The pictures I have loaded here are from our room on the 8th floor balcony and some of them are from the beach behind the resort, the chairs you rent on the beach also comes with an umbrella they are operated by the life guards which cost $40.00 dollars a day and $75.00 for two days but didnt like the chairs you couldnt lay the down flat, no bench type chairs like they have in Florida.

Booked this vacation months ago. Read up on their website about extra cleaning procedures during COVID19 pandemic, expected a clean relaxing stay, instead upon check in we could tell the pictures were deceiving & the cleaning procedures were a joke. Used tissue in the sink, dirty towels hanging in the bathtub, room smelled strongly of cigarettes. Went back down and checked out. Spent the next hour looking for another hotel. Don’t waste your money. They need to update more than furniture.

I had been here once in 2015, it is cozier than most hotels but some of the furniture is much older than other nearby hotels. This hotel is much closer to the ocean so it had a better than than H@77th.

Reasonable prices for a great beach front location. About two miles north of all the other busy hotels. This is a great location for families: most of the guests are in fact families with kids. No loud music or crazy partying. Very calm and quiet at night. The beach gets a little busy but manageable during the day. The rooms are somewhat updated while the hallways show a little wear, which is understandable with a lot of sand brought it with foot traffic. Rooms get cleaned by friendly helpful staff.

The parking was tight...and I mean tight! The room needed to be updated badly. The closet was a painted plywood home made box. The coffee maker was on top of the safe and not in the kitchen. The list could go on and on. It was a so-so experience.

Positive: The location right on the beach was just what I was looking for and it was in my budget. Loved the pools and lazy rivers. Great view from 7th floor roof top pool. Negative: Some of the cleaning staff was not so friendly when asked a simple question.

We paid 49$ a night. Pools were clean room was adequate. No breakfast or bars open. Could hear a lot of noise from other guests but overall good hotel.

I stayed in a standard room with two queen beds and ocean view. Decent hotel and had clean room. Prices is reasonable for type of resort. Beds were very comfortable. Shower pressure was pretty low and rooms are a little dated. For a standard room it was very spacious and the refrigerator was a good size. I prefer to have a microwave which doesnt come in standard rooms. Overall I had a very nice stay.

Wasnt what I expected. Couldnt find anywhere to park. They are renovating and didnt tell us prior to booking our oceanview room. So not only could we not go out on the balcony we couldnt open the door or a windows to at least HEAR the ocean. And their pool was closed while everyone around us was open. But the room overall was very nice and clean. Maybe after the renovation Id try it again

Its clean but if youre trying to relax dont stay here!!! The beds are like sleeping on rocks and the pillows feels like a big air bubble. But if you dont plan on sleeping I will recommend it.

Room was great, rate was good. Staff are friendly and helpful.After reading other reviews, yes there was a dumpster on the ground below some of the rooms. The parking garage had some items stored in it, there was a little noise. Its the off season thats when resorts take care of upgrades and such. If you want something to complain about go down the beach a ways and stay at a resort where the furniture is so loose you cant set on it and the appliances dont work. These things at the Grande shores are just routine this time of year.

After being rejected from another hotel due to being 21 and not 23, we came to grande shores and were welcomed with open arms. amazing amenities from a pool bar to several rooftop hot tubs not to mention great meals being served in the cafe downstairs. free movie rentals and hand sanitizer stations everywhere which helped me feel more at ease during my stay. overall probably the best bang for your buck in myrtle beach and definitely plan to stay here again.

The rooms arent bad but the noise is ridiculous! We have heard nothing but blaring music, revving engines and car honking, and all of which echos in the garage that is literally outside your door/ bedroom window. Probably not bad for high schoolers or college kids but if you want to relax while your kids sleep, dont bother. They wont sleep.

Positive: The location was the best part. Negative: Not much water pressure in the shower. I dont really see the use in opening a pool side bar until 3pm. Only having one elevator and ice machines were not working was a bummer. But over all it was a nice place.

One of my favorite beach resorts in Myrtle Beach!! Easy access to main highway!! They have everything we want here a on site restaurant, pools, close beach access, hot tubs, movie rental, always friendly service every time we visit here!! Thank yall so much for making every stay memorable!!

Great low budget stays,lots of stuff within walking distance,lots of amenities for the money,clean rooms,nice beaches!

The stay was nice, the rooms were spacious, and freshly painted. The beds were firm, yet comfortable. I would suggest skipping the bar unless you only want concentrated fruit juice, there is a saving grace though, the DVD rental is free, which is nice touch.

Dont be mislead by the word Resort in the name. This is not a resort at all. It is simply an aging hotel. The rooms have the basics....TV, iron/ironing board, coffee maker and refrigerator. There is not a microwave. The refrigerator was older and made a lot of noise when it was running. We got used to it by the second day (we stayed 5 days). The best part was the beautiful ocean view from the rooms balcony. It was very relaxing to listen to the waves roll in day and night. We enjoyed watching the sunrise while having coffee on the balcony. The property is in a good location, making it a quick trip to all of the area attractions and restaurants

Really high-quality hotel. Food is delicious and comes with many fun amenities. Indoor pool and a gym, plus outdoor pool near a beautiful lake. Also, a hot tub, a sauna, and many restaurants. The picture is what I took from the hot tub. Perfectly placed and would definitely recommend!

This was the absolute worst vacationing experience of my adult life. There were roaches inside the room and crawling inside from the balcony. When I arrived I was given a room that reeked of cigarette smoke and God knows what else. The furniture and bed were the original ones that came in with the builders. Needless to say I was very disappointed with you guys!

Great location. Only had coffee the first morning in our room. It was never restocked, we didnt see any housekeeping to ask for some. Restaurant for dinner was very good, breakfast so-so. Had fireworks go off every night around 1:30 am with very loud talking. Did not enjoy that.

The place was dirty. There was no housekeeping services so guest were leaving trash in the hall and parking lots. I saw the same trash on my artisans departure. The washing machine had a leak. The handle man had a hard time turning off the water and to keep the carpet from having a smell he put a industrial fan in our room. They were unable or will to offer additional a commendations. Then the manager called off on Father’s Day and I could not speak with anyone before I left.

I took my bleach wipes, lysol and thieves and when I wiped the counters and tables my wipes were clean! Everyone was friendly and professional. Hailey at the pool bar was awesome!If I had any tips to make it better I would suggest an umbrella on tip top pool area. In stock on all fav alcohol and maybe later hours on atleast 1 pool area.The kids loved the many pools. We will go again!!

We booked a room for one night. We came early and was told to come back at 12 which we did respectfully. Then was told that we would get a text when room was ready. We got a text at 2:04 saying the room was ready and in fact it was not ready. We had already unpacked our car and was told to wait 20 minutes and we did then after 20 minutes again it was still not ready. We had to wait a total of an hour while i was on a broke swollen ankle waiting to get in room and relax. I then called the manager in which he said there was nothing he could do and tried to make a million excuses and tried to say that my broke ankle was not a part of the reason i should be upset. Which is completely and utterly disrespectful to deny how i felt about service contributing to my struggle to enjoy my one day of vacation at a hotel i thought was amazing. Also contributing to my ankle to swell so much that i can not enjoy my stay because im stuck in bed elevating my swollen broke ankle so it was a waste of of almost 300 dollars to lay in bed which i could have done at home.

It was really clean and the staff were all really nice. The pools were also really fun to swim in. Our room had a really good view of the ocean!

The room was nice upon arrival, the kitchen had all the common conveniences, and a nice balcony/view. I slept in a 2 queen bedroom within the room. One of the two beds was flat and bowing, there is a window that looks into a creepy cut off hallway, and i found a 2 inch long cockroach carcass on the floor...Some of the doors with in the room didnt shut properly, and the bathroom was outdated and kinda dingy, but appeared clean. Overall it was an okay place to stay, but i was disappointed, and it could have been so much better.

I have stayed at Grand Shores several times and liked it. This time was different. I always book as early as possible and ask for an upper room ocean front. I stay in the standard room with 2 queen beds. I take my now 81 year old mother. This time they had me on the second floor. Front desk saw my upper floor request and move me to the 5th floor. The next morning upon returning from breakfast we found the ceiling had a leak. My mothers suitcase was under the leak. We had to move which was not easy. And they put us on the 2nd floor at the lazy river. Between the hedges,trees and so many people in the lazy river we could not see the ocean or sit on the patio the remainder of our stay. We had to go shopping for my mom some clothes to get her through the stay. They only said sorry when I complained as if it were no big deal. I will be looking at other places for my next stay. Oh..I also lost a jacket in the move that can no longer be found. Which also did not phase the hotel staff

Location and hotel was nice! But the pools are supposed to be heated and they were really cold!

Really nice place to stay right on the ocean. The pools were warm and cleaned and the Jacuzzis.

On the plus side the resort is very close to the beach, rooms are descent and they have free parking.The downside is that the enterence to our room was in the garage, pool is a lot smaller that it looks like in the photos, and they only have one tiny bar and no restaurants.Will probably pick a different place the next time.

Hotel is old and in great need of updating. Big nics in the walls, couple light switches did not work, one dvd cable was broke, Rugs very old, elevators very hot, called twice before we came and was told everything was open and it wasnt. No poolside snack bar or drinks or icecream. Parking garage had huge holes, hallways smell musty, handles on bedroom closets fell off. Very disappointed. We stayed Sunday through Friday and after we got here there is a sign that says those annemities are only open Friday sat sun. Only good thing was proximity to the beach

Rates were amazing for the time of year. The view was spectacular and our kids loved the pool options. Our room was very clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating. We didnt eat at the cafe on site but the food smelled great! Grand Shores is officially on our will return list.

The stay was great and the maids were awesome even going as far as making cute animals out of towels for my kiddos.The parking are plenty but the only complaint I had was that when you go up a ramp and is about to turn onto a floor, that area on every level is very narrow. Only one car can fit at a time. So its either you back up back into the ramp it the on coming car back up.Amenities are ok. We didnt get to spend much time with the amenities since my kiddos were sick.The beds werent Sandy like some hotels Ive been to but the sheets are scratchy. A lot of the plug sockets are bad or theres broken prongs stuck in them. Our door stopper was broken already so we couldnt use it. The peep hole was badly scratched up so its hard to see through.Overall I liked this hotel but just stuff needs updating or fixed. Pricing isnt bad.

Well the beds were the worse we have ever slept on!!! I couldnt make up my mind really which was worse the bed or pillows! And this was (not) the hotels fault but we had cigarette buds on our balcony! Room was clean and hotel was nice. We had 2 adults and 2 children plenty of room. Maid service was alright .

Great! I loved the atmosphere.

The property is out dated. The hallways have carpet that smell. I was given towels with stains in them. Closets smelled. Toilet seat had marks on it. Kitchen cabinets had patch work done on them. I should have stay at a Marriott away from the beach. The property does have several pools and is feet away from the beach.
