The employees at North Shore Hotel were very well trained and were eager to help vacationers in whatever was needed no matter what shift was working. We were a little hesitant about the room after we checked in because it was during the scary times of the Coronavirus. Just my personal opinion but we took our own linens and pillows from home as well as Clorox wipes which I used on every surface. At our age of 72, we felt like we should take all precautions in trying to stay safe. But, we definitely will be repeat customers at North Shore Hotel.

Decent place to stay in Myrtle Beach. I was late checking in so decided to stay up, and catch the sunrise.

Oceanfront was great!! But the room was kinda dirty and the floors were filthy. Want to make sure you wear.your shoes in the room. I think that when the floors are like that it makes you wonder what the level of clean is on other things. I really did love the location and feel that with a little extra clean it would have been at least 4 stars. Also be careful of the on-site restaurant. I had fish and chips and the fish was overly fishy which is usually a sign of old fish and a piece of it was not even edible. No discount given just, an offer for another piece, but if the first wasnt good who wants another??

This place is really great! The rooms are spacious and the beach is steps away. Very clean but our bathtubs was slow draining.

Rude staff, and discriminating. Room had roaches! I asked for extra towels, because we did stay 4 days and was told no.

Marie at the Front Desk was so helpful and friendly!! Every staff member that we have seen has been so kind and helpful!! The room was clean, beautiful and the view was incredible!! We will come back again and again and again!!!! We had a problem with the TV and in less than 5 minutes a gentleman was up and had it fixed!!!

If you ever go to Myrtle Beach, DO NOT stay at North Shore resort. I stayed there months ago, and left some really sentimental items, including a favorite pair of shoes and perfume he bought me.After calling repeatedly, and even taking a trip to go face to face to collect my items calmly, expressing my responsibility for leaving and the sentiment they gave me the run around and pretty much rudely said oh well.These companies gotta start putting their ethics where we we put our money. The customer service too. Our support and dollar has that kind of power.

Amazing view, unless you get stuck in a recessed room. Even then still pretty good. Great beach access, but dirty sheets, terrible beds and general maintenance issues make me think sanitation protocols are just for show.

We just returned from our second stay at North Shore! Our kids love the pools, the water park, the arcade and the black light mini golf! We love the on site restaurant, bar and the clean comfy rooms. The manager Dillon has helped us during both of our stays and he is great, so funny and helpful! We will definitely be returning!

The room wasnt bad but they didnt leave any fresh towels and shower was clogged. We had to go get our own towels because they forgot. The view from the room was really nice though. There staff was very rude and while we were here someone actually found feces in the pool and nobody at the front desk seemed to even care. They wouldnt put a sign out to stop or warn others not to swim until it was clean. Took them a couple hours to get someone to the pool and clean it . Overall I would not recommend going here and we will definitely be going somewhere else next vacation

The staff was courteous but because of Covid19 understaffed and they did not clean rooms. Placed used towels outside door as directed where they stayed our entire stay of four days. Finally had to go to reception for clean towels. All those towels piled outside rooms looked awful and was safety hazard in my opinion. Hotel in total was not as clean as in past and really needs an update. Same prices as better kept properties. I was at meeting so had no choice in motel.

My family and I absolutely LOVED this resort. With the water park included, beach front corn hole with bar and restaurant plus an awesome two bedroom room with kitchenette in tower one it was the perfect place for our family of 5! I only gave it 4 stars because of Angela at the mini golf check in. She was super rude to our family and made snarky comments when we mentioned that we thought the mini golf was included. As for AMAZING employees at this resort, the woman at the entrance of the water park seriously was amazing. She sat outside in the 90+ degree weather with a small fan for hours yet had a smile on her face every time we saw her. She deserves a raise! And a bigger fan!!

Lots to do for kids and adults would never have to leave the hotel if you didnt have to.

We really enjoyed our stay at Northshore Oceanfront. The pool area super nice and a great DJ. My girls loved the lazy river and the water park. Theyre was good fun, drinks, the kids fun zone, pool tables. We really could stay at the resort the entire time. They had everything we needed. Also they had a nice nail shop. Ill come again

From the time we checked in we were laughing, the manager Dillion and his coworker Bailey were hilarious and VERY accommodating. the place was spotless the room was large and quiet. the bathroom could have used a little more of an update than what they went with but it is what it is...I was very comfortable in bed it was cozy. I felt very safe they were very well staffed with security as well, not too many children and they have strict rental policies. which keeps the hoopla out.. I will Certainly return 100% and hopefully be able to use the amenities. also the restaurant had some delicious food of course they also have a great breakfast!!!! great value!!!!

We took our 3 granddaughters on vacation there and they loved it!! Dillon the manager made sure we had everything we needed and the staff was friendly and helpful. Great place and we will definitely be back next year!

The staff was super friendly, hotel was very clean, the room was nice clean and the view was amazing. If you need anything the staff was always available. The on-site admitities(pool/waterpark) were exceptional, small crowds and limited number of patrons allowed in at a time. The pool was clean and had no issues. We will be back next year because of how satisfied we were with this hotel. We are bringing more family when we come and telling everyone how family oriented this hotel is and that its a MUST stay for families. The beach is less than two minute walk from the hotel. All restaurants are within a ten minute driving distance so makes travel easy for dinner options. The on-site restaurant/bar is excellent. The breakfast was great! I will be back next year!

I came to myrtle beach for a week with my family and i was recommended this hotel because i heard the staff there was amazing and i was not disappointed. the lobby gets a little busy but the workers are very kind. i spent a couple days at the pool and everyday the pool attendants (assuming that’s what they are) had very well manors and acted quite professional. would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends

Me and my family have stayed here the last 6 years and just checked out for our 2020 vacation yesterday. we love this place we look forward to coming every year :) the staff is very attentive and I must say Nathan that works the front desk is amazing he makes us feel welcome year after year and be lucky to have him as an employee he takes pride in his job. thanks for another great vacation see you next year.

The location, the price, the view, the staff -- amazing!!! Only issue was people smoking so much weed around us, we couldnt sit and enjoy our balcony. At one point it was the adjoining room, but staff took immediate action and made us feel important.

We stayed here a year ago and it was amazing so we booked again this year, very dirty, rude staff. 2nd time staying here and never again. Extremely disappointing.

I can honestly say this hotel was well worth the price. My family had an amazing time. Dillon and all the staff were top notch and eager to help out with anything. We enjoyed the arcade, water park, and pools. Our room was clean and sanitized. Most of all my family felt safe being here and that truly means alot right now. I will never stay anywhere else, North Shore Oceanfront Hotel is where my family will stay everytime we come to Myrtle Beach. THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING OUR TRIP AMAZING.

Apparently the above units AC started leaking overnight. The run off leaked into a suitcase ruining clothes and the suitcase itself. The staff were no help and were not willing to send someone to look at or attempt to fox the issue. Being a business owner myself. If I were responsible for drug destroying someone’s belongings I would absolutely do everything to make it right

When we arrived our room wasnt ready, but they had plenty of vacancy so they switched us to one that was available, But when we got into our room we didnt have any towels, bath mat, hand towels and wash clothes in our bathroom, I asked one of the housekeepers that I saw in the hallway if she could send some towels up and she said she would put some in a bag and hang them on our door, so we left for a few hours and when we came back after going to the beach and the pool we never got any, I even called down and asked them for some and they never came up to give us any. I was tired of waiting so I just went down and got them each day that we stayed..We were supposed to have 2 queen beds but didnt even notices that they were full size beds until our last day witch was my fault, but it still worked. The pool had feces that one of the guest found and nobody wanted to come out to put a sign or to clean it for serval hours. Some of the staff members were pretty rude. Next year we will be staying somewhere else.. I wouldnt recommend staying here.

I really did enjoy my stay here. Great features! Loved the view, bar and stores. My favorite part was the view. The only cons in my opinion were beds are hard as a rock and room floors were dirty and needed to be sweep/mop. However did stop me from enjoying my stay.

Arcade and restaurant was great. Didnt need to leave the resort. Plus close the beach. The oceanfront room was also huge.

It was beautiful and on the beach with a wonderful view. The staff was welcoming and gave us a big beach bag as a gift. We want to come there every year. It was better then we thought it would be.

I recently booked a 5 night stay at this hotel. Due to the most recent spike in Covid cases my family decided we should cancel. When I booked the reservation I was told I could receive a full refund if I canceled by a certain date which I did. Now I’m being charged a processing fee which was not explained. To make matters worse, the manager Diane was extremely rude and basically told me I was fresh out of luck. I asked to speak to another person and she gave me a bogus number to call. Needless to say I will not ever book this hotel again. I suggest anyone who’s interested in coming to this place think twice and find somewhere else to stay.

I have to honestly say that I did enjoy my stay at North Shore Resort. From check in until check out everything was pretty cool. I wouldnt mind staying here again the next time I visit.

The hotel was clean and smelled clean. I will stay there again. It has an arcade, a nail salon, a restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools. I enjoyed my stay there.

Great staff, great room, very clean bathroom with a spotless tub and tub surround,everything was on point and the staff really was on it. We had a oceanfront room and the view was fantastic. Love how theres a on site convenient store, pub, breakfast spot, swimwear store, drinks by the pool everything was very nice. We loved how they keep the pools open till 11pm where as most hotels run everyone off at 8pm. This really helps tire out the kids and keeps the family happy and having fun. We will cone back for sure. 5 stars all the way.

My to was not cleaned properly. Front desk staff were not so friendly, and for $193.00 dollars per night the rooms did not even compare to a Marriott or HiltonThe rooms are cparable to a Holiday Inn or Motel 6

I’m not sure where to start first. We reserved this hotel through Groupon and we now know why it was so cheap. When we check in, our toilet was broken and the room was old and dirty. It did not look like it had been sanitized the way it should in situations such as this. There was multiple people smoking weed on their patio, the elevator didn’t work, had to take the stairs and worst of all, the customer service was terrible! Other than the guy at the bar that actually seemed to care about guests this place is not worth the family atmosphere or money that it advertised. I am so disappointed that my family spent what we did to come here and have an awful experience!!!!! Do not book here. If I could give a negative rating, I would.

The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. We were upgraded from an ocean view to an ocean front room with no additional charges. The view was spectacular! The price was very reasonable. The only drawback was that the ice machines were shut off due to it being the winter season, but they have a convenience store on the property that you could get free ice from.

This Was My Familys First Time Staying At North Shore And We Loved It, Clean Rooms, Great Customer Service And Very Friendly Staff. Our Ac Unit In The Room Went Out At 12AM, We Called Down To The Front Desk And Within The Hour We Had A New Ac Unit In The Room, The Manager Himself Fixed It Since There Was No Maintenance Man On Duty, He Went Above And Beyond Thanks Dillion

Kinda rowdy, room was kinda nasty even during Covid-19 precautions.. when I have to sweep my own room twice because your housekeeping didnt do it makes me very unhappy. Paid for 2 queen beds, we got 2 fulls. Needless to say we wont be back.

My family stayed here 3 nights for a beach visit. The amenities are great for families: arcade, indoor/outdoor pool, hot tub, restaurants, water park and its oceanfront. Getting requested items takes a while, however the property is large. Some of the staff was great others not so much. Overall it was a good experience and well be going back.

This property and our room was very clean and well maintained.I believe the staff could use some staff development on being visible and welcoming with its customers. They tend to sit at a desk that is very high and you cannot tell if someone is on duty unless you walk over to the counter and look down. I believe the staff person should be seen and speak to those who go through their lobby. Consider lowering at least a section of the counter or make a desk area with. Barstool height chair so they can be seen.

Very nice hotel, comfortable beds, hot water, all the staff was friendly, stayed off season was able to use the indoor pool and hot tub. Indoor pool smelled very high in chlorine. Laundry room was nice. Had an issue with loud guests next door, guest services took care it quickly. Would not recommend Dinos restaurant within the hotel, there are way too many better restaurants to eat at, even with the coupon they give you wasnt worth the food or service. Had a oceanfront room, cant beat the price for the view and accessibility to the beach. Had a wonderful family vacation, thank you!

So many things were wrong: the 2 elevator took forever, hot tub smelt of bleach that had a patch job done, room dirty(dirty sheets, floor, and bathroom) and hotel staff rude.Best thing is the view. From one person to another please reconsider going somewhere else. The pictutes online are nothing compared to its current condition.

Great hotel! Reserved it June 2nd for June 19-21. Had a hard time pulling it up in the system because it was ordered on Groupon. Desk Clark KYLE was very rude, didn’t wanna help us. Slammed the phone down twice.

This is one of the best resorts that weve been to. The hospitality was excellent, and the amenities were great. Being oceanfront by the beach was wonderful, and the view breathtaking! We will definitely come back again.

Positive: It was oceanfront, the restrooms were very close which meant you didnt have to go to your room to use it. The location was good as well. Overall we had a great time, we will be back. Negative: I myself and I heard a lot of guests say the elevators are very slow.

Warning! Bring your own broom or vacuum cleaner! The floors were nasty, and who knows when there last time they were cleaned. We were told we could take a broom and clean them ourselves. I noticed other vacationers had the same issue. I would think a hotels protocol would be to keep the entire hotel clean during Covid-19, not just the lobby where they have multiple people cleaning!

We had a great stay. Stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. Check in process was easy and upto the point. We enjoyed the oceanfront kitchen and bar . The staff, food and service for dining were excellent. Rooms were nice and big. Bathroom was little smaller. I think there should be a mandatory front desk or guest service person. Everytime we called noone answered. Elevators were taking forever. Other than that we can stay we had a quiet pleasant stay.

We had a room with an amazing view of the ocean and slept with the sliding door open at night to hear the waves crashing on the shore; best sleep weve had in a long time. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was amazing (great water pressure, nice hot water, awesome shower head), and the balcony was nice and private. The room had a fridge, microwave, and Keurig. The only downside was how outdated everything felt and the soaps/shampoo was low quality and didnt smell very good. There is a convenience store on site and the staff were all really nice and helpful.

Worst stay ever! No early check in! We got there one hour early and were driving 13 hours straight and the manager was so rude and said there is no early check in and snarled at me and said there are signs up everywhere stating that! Rude staff! Worst service ever ! And to think we paid for the deluxe suite! Do not go to this hotel!

Keep looking!!!This resort isnt as appealing as I thought it would be.  The worst part of my stay was dealing with the staff.  At check in, I was totally ignored by Nathan, when he finally acknowledged me, he let me know that he was on his way to lunch.  Then Justin intervenes, I say hello he says when did you book it.  It????  Terrible customer service, he attempted to over talk me and didnt answer any of my questions.  Towels and linens were stained and hairy.  Went to Walmart to buy my own.  The only charming part of my stay was the view and you can get that at any hotel on the beach.

Most of the staff was nice. Rooms were ok. Cleaning was ok. View was spectacular. Lots of things to do in the hotel. We had a great time. Eat breakfast at Dinos- delicious!

It was ok. Room was small, reserved 2 queens beds were seemed like fulls.They do not replace pool towels, what you get in your room on your arrival is what you keep until you leave.The food was good, great that you can walk right out to the beach. We had fun but I wouldnt stay there again.

I loved this place. Laundry facility, indoor water park, and outdoor beach overlooking the ocean. The bed was comfortable and the hot water was plentiful. I will definitely go back.

And the housekeeping was mot that great and came late after 4pm.

The day shift staff were great! Cant say the same for the late night staff. My only complaint is that you cannot call the hotel and get an answer. You also get redirected at all of the desks to one desk that is not convenient to everyone. The rooms were newly renovated and clean. Elevators worked properly and the access to the beach was very convenient. We stayed on the 5th floor Oceanside.

The staff seem tire, but they were busy when we arrive. Our room was giving away by mistake but they took care of the situation and gave us a bigger villa. We were so tire all we wanted was to rest it was a 12h trip for us then 1h to fix the problem but we were satisfy overall. Family came to visit for a few hours and theres was no problem with the hotel. Quite stay.. No ugly smells. Defently a friendly family place. Had so much fun barely any pictures were taken

Good location but very congested. Rooms are outdated and the cleanliness definitely needs to improve. My feet were terribly dirty just from walking in the room, very disappointing. Please deep clean your rooms everyday with bleach!!! It’s not good if a guest has to clean a hotel room. The sheets are blue, very bad idea since blue cannot be bleach not clean properly to sanitary. I still cannot get over how dirty the rooms were. If you want a clean room go to a Hilton, La Quinta or a Sheraton. The amenities were fairly good and water was nice.

This was our first time staying here, we are leaving this morning. I cannot say anything bad about this place my kids have absolutely loved it. It was clean staff was super nice! Great pool, great private beach, kids splash area and lazy river was nice too. We will definitely return.

It was our first time staying at this hotel & we had a great time. The front desk staff was great. They called me at 2 pm to tell me my room was ready when it wasn’t supposed to be ready until 4 pm. The pool was great as well as the water park for the kids. Close to the beach. Our room was overall clean & spacious. We’ll definitely be back!

The location is great. North Myrtle Beach with less congestion and traffic. However, none of it is as nice as pictured. I’ve never seen a hotel with blue sheets. You can’t bleach blue so I felt like they weren’t sanitary. The floors are filthy. Expect to wash your feet if you or your children walk on them barefoot. The maids generally have don’t make it to your room until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Just in time to put kids down for naps and/or getting ready for dinner. Therefore we were only able to enjoy the service 2 days out of 6. The beds are not comfortable and I could hear my neighbors next door. The pools are good for kids but the water is cold and we visited end of July. A little heat would have been nice...especially for smaller children. On the plus side, their is easy access to the beach and the pizza, nails and convenience store within the resort are very handy.

Stayed June 23-June 27. Lobby is very welcoming and has a good beach feel. It’s nice to be able to see through to the beach in the lobby. Staff was friendly and this place is very family oriented. Rooms are basic but clean and very spacious. No carpet is a plus and appreciated. Nice beach color choices too.AC was a bit noisy but worked well. We were in ocean front room and views were great. The convenience to walk to beach is great. Elia restaurant has great coffee and food for breakfast. We ate outside every day and enjoyed the palm tree views. The stores on site were very convenient. Everything you need is there. Hotel shares amenities with Sands right next door and has the better of the bars for drinks during the day . DJ plays music after 12 it seems which can be heard on beach so a plus. Plenty of kids activities during the day at the pool too. It’s only a 4.5 mile drive to celebrity circle and all it’s entertainment. I would go back for sure. This place is good for families as well as for adults looking for a relaxing vacation.

The worst service I have ever received in my life!!! Dont spend your money here!!! Theyre very rude. Unwilling to help with anything. If you book here hopefully you wont need any help because their customer service skills are terrible!

Close to the beach clean rooms nice amenities budget friendly

Booked the location for its advertised ocean view rooms and good size pool. Was not disappointed by that. Hotel has 2 very easy walkways onto the beach only seconds away from the pool. But communication and policies were poor. Prior to booking had asked if they could keep bags behind desk or a secure storage area so we can enjoy the pool while our room was available and was told yes. Also had a question about late check-out and whether that was possible and again was told yes. Long story short they would not hold luggage or offer late checkouts. Knowing these circumstances wouldve made other arrangements. Would say hospitality needs improvement accept Charles who was the friendliest and most hospitable.

My 1st trip here and know I will go again. It was awesome. They have indoor and outdoor pools and a lazy river my grandson learned to swim in. An arcade, restaurants, general store all are on site. But what is most memorable is all the friendly people- visitors and staff. Its a family place and we all loved it. It just felt safe and all the staff are super helpful.

Great front desk service

The hotel is fine, the location is good. But use your towels sparingly because they wont give you any extra I know its petty to be upset over a towel but I gotta leave by 6am and house keeping doesnt come around until later, Id like to shower before I leave lol.

The room was clean and average. My kids enjoyed the pools and easy access to the beach. I’m not sure about others but I like to wash my face with a different wash cloth than my body. The staff was adamant that they could only give one wash cloth per guest and even went as far as to say the linen delivery was short and there were no more wash cloths in the entire building......really???? That was a big minus for me.

We stayed at North Shore this past weekend for 4 days! Staff was awesome, Rooms Clean, easy check in upon arrival as well. All that you need is right there, shops, restaurant, and store right on site. Steps from the ocean! Relaxing areas with swing under palm trees~ This place met all of our needs for a fun, relaxing few days. * security on staff as well as parking security. We will be back!!

View was good but the room size is small

The employees were amazing! From the second we walked in they were helpful and courteous... The location is ideal with barefoot and Tanger outlets being a ten min drive! The rooms were very spacious and clean minus a little sand which is to be expected with it being the beach! Literally has everything you need! Restaurants, pools, water park, arcade, putt putt, even a nail salon! It was definitely worth the money and I’ll be returning here for vacations on the future!!

BE AWARE ONCE YOU BOOK YOU CANNOT CANCEL ROOM OR LEAVE EARLY OR RECEIVE ANY OF THE MONEY BACK EVEN IF THE ROOM IS NOT FUNCTIONING OR A COMPLETE DUMP YOUR ENTIRE STAY! Plus they didn’t offer us another room. There were over 7 things wrong with our room. Please keep in mind I never leave bad reviews and I feel that customer satisfaction is important. It is 100% not worth the money you have to pay for this place. Management could care less if you have a problem. I spoke with 3 members of management when I stayed at this supposed resort that gives treatment of a motel but charges over $200 a night. I went to management the day after we got to the hotel because there were so many things wrong with our room. We had a clogged bathtub the whole time we needed to take showers and also clogged sink. Management even told me a request to fix the tub wasn’t put in initially even though that was my main complaint. There was also a problem with the electrical outlet, the air conditioner was so loud we couldn’t sleep, outside our room was a dumpster that you could smell from 5 floors up off the ground.. We also had a dirty washcloth in the shower when we arrived and bathroom was dirty looking. They said this place was renovated but you couldn’t tell at all. The floor boards and trim are disgusting looking. I thought at first it just needed to be cleaned but it was just old, damaged, and disgusting. The lower level staff (cleaning & maintenance) was great when I talked to them and nice. It’s the management that was horrible! Water park wasn’t worth resort fees you have to pay and wasn’t directly on property. Will not go back to this place ever again even if I was offered a free stay. Would not recommend this hotel. You can get public access to the beach for free. I was going to give no stars but since cleaning staff and maintenance were nice I didn’t.

My husband booked a room on the spur of the moment trip after the hurricane. Was kinda worried reading some of the reviews on the way. Check in was great, manager was super nice, rooms where nice and clean, pools were great open late so you get to enjoy more time with family, and the putt putt was awesome. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone with kids or just looking for a good time!

Was there for a convention. The deadbolt on the door didnt work, and neither did the latch on the balcony. There were some dead bugs in the room. The view was good, though. Some of the conference rooms on the second floor are hard to access if you cant use stairs.

Great place to stay if you want to be on the ocean.

Really enjoyed our stay. The ocean front view was amazing the staff seems really organized. I did ask that housekeeping not come into our room for the duration of our stay because i had an infant and they respected my wishes! The water park and lazy river were really fun. There was enough space on the beach and at the water park for everyone to have their own space. The one issue i had was the floors in the room they felt sandy and i had to wear socks i just dont like feeling stuff on the bottom of my feet but other than that i would stay again.

The view from our balcony was amazing, I would have given it 5 stars but we arrived on Thursday and no one ever told us that the bar was not open until Friday and the restaurant was only open for breakfast! Very disappointed ️

This hotel is not worth the money at all. The entire place is very outdated and maybe would be worth it if it was 1996. My husband and I work hard for our money and thought we would be getting at least a 4 star experience, for the money that we put towards it. This place is closer to 2.5 stars. The hallways smelled like a hospital, the rooms were very basic, and the lobby was uninviting. The pictures make it seem a lot better than it was.However, the staff members were kind and tried to help when we complained about the trash that we had to look at when we would stand on our balcony. (I’m assuming the trash was from wind or other guests- but these things should be cleaned daily.)We would not recommend this place to people who have high expectations for a vacation. We feel like we got jipped.

Loved the waterfront restaurant..had breakfast there several times. Servers are great. Friendly and professional.
