This is our second year to stay at Grand Atlantic and I am very impressed with how efficient they are at fixing things when something does need fixing. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They are following strict guidelines on sanitizing the rooms due to the Covid-19 pandemic and are requiring that everyone wear masks. I highly recommend this place as a really great place to spend some good relaxing time and viewing the ocean from the balconies,

I would have gave it a 5 star but all the heated pools were cold and my mom had to change rooms 3 times due to roaches but the staff was very helpful in solving the problem this is a very beautiful place and kept very clean other than the bugs but I think they are trying to take of that I was surprised by how clean the carpets are most places have trash in the hallways and outside but not here its well maintained and the rooms are also up to date would recommend staying here in the future

I booked this hotel for my vacation because I saw all of these 5 star reviews. I was very disappointed with this hotel and I had horrible experience with their staff and services. First of all, I checked in with the front desk, I was told that I have three different reservations. No problem, they canceled the other two and gave me the key to my room. When I got to my room, it was not what I reserved ( I booked for a king size bed room with ocean view) what I got was a dirty double queen beds room (Parking lot view) with nasty a bedsheet(stain) and Isaw spider web on the ceiling. So I came back down to let them know that they gave me the wrong room. The lady was like “ ooh we don’t have anymore room left”. If you recall, this lady told me 5 minutes ago that I booked 3 reservations. If y’all call this kind of hotel a 5 star hotel. I Don’t know what to say

It was amazing, great view!

Over all very clean and family oriented place to stay! It offered the basic pool, spa tub and lazy river as far as water attractions! The 4 bedroom was great for allowing our family to enjoy quality time together!

This was a nice hotel to stay in. It was clean and my husband and I like it alot. The only downside was that the bed was a little to firm and also the tub pooled when u showered. I mean the tub could use some updating. Other than that it was a great stay!

Coffee table leg needs repair, sand in bath tub, WiFi was horrible, Dryer didn’t work called reported it never received a response, 3 beds had springs popping up. web page was not accurate we were on 5th floor. After talking to front desk we paid more through Hotels.com Decided after looking at 3rd floor much cleaner better beds cheaper rate I didn’t have towels hanging every where dryer worked therefore great if you book direct not through private party.

We just visited this resort this past weekend. The customer service was on point & the room was great. Its a little dated but otherwise we enjoyed our stay on the 21st in one of the PH suites. The view was AMAZING!

My room had not been clean. Had toe nail clippings on the rug when i got there. Had to wash towels was never given fresh towels. Saw dead bugs on the floor. But other than that the view was amazing from the balcony.

Finally able to change rooms due to a strong stale smoker smell in the original room we were given. Room was supposed to be non-smoking, but it was obvious the room was a long term smoking room. Took a while to get this handled as it appeared management didnt seem to believe us. New room much nicer and cleaner smelling. Disposal in the kitchen shakes the entire sink and counter top; very noisy. Light bulbs burned out in one of the bathrooms. Outside pool full of leaves, bugs and mulch but probably because of the heavy winds. Lazy river needs more water in it... very shallow. Not as nice as the first time we stayed here

Not bad other then a dirty bath tub. The stay was great overall and right on the water. I enjoyed it.

I enjoyed the different pools that were available to the guest.

It was family trip and I do NOT recommend this resort. It says NON-smoking. But all the smoking smell from just outside of this building came to our room. That was very disappointing and my kiddos had a hard time to sleep because of that bad smell.

Parking was wonderful. Everything was customer friendly!

Great place, nice rooms, I like the south side of Myrtle Beach because its a little more quiet which makes it great for relaxing. Theres a hotel next door that is kinda like abandoned and it brings down the value and scenery of this hotels current location.

My family and I stayed here the first week of July 2020. I must say the reviews wasnt the best. I gave it a shot and must say Im glad we did. We stayed in a 3 bed 3 bath on the 17 floor which was an oceanfront everything was great from check in to check out. Racheal at the front desk was very nice and helpful. This was our first time ever coming to Myrtle Beach...Its safe to say 2021 will see us again.

Home away from HOME! The moment I walked into my apartment style room, I knew that Id be visiting again soon. However their was a small water leak inside the bedroom closet. They offered to move my room, but I was already settled in. The hotel manager promised me extra accommodations on my next visit.

The long balcony I really like, room was big and spacious me and my family enjoyed it

I stayed at Grand Atlantic in July of 2018 and I can honestly say, I had no complaints. I stayed in one of their penthouse condos (2 bedroom, 2 bathroom with a kitchen, living room, and double balcony.) Again in July 2020 I stayed in the same type of room. However, this time we had multiple issues. In one bathroom there were tiny ants and roach-like bugs crawling from under the sink, toilet and bathtub. In my other bathroom, the tub would flood and the water would take forever to go down. In addition to this, there were random water puddles in the master bedroom whenever we got back to our condo, no one had been here all day. Throughout my entire 4 days here, there was a bug maintainance man that only came once to spray against the corners of the entire apartment. I love the Grand Atlantic, but next time I visit Myrtle Beach, Ill seriously consider other resorts.

We have been staying at the Grand Atlantic for four years and never had a problem, this year we found what we thought was a better deal at another resort on the strip and upon checking in we found out really quick that is was the wrong decision due to being nasty and dirty. After we were able to get our money back I called the Grand Atlantic and asked for one bedroom king and they were more than happy to help. When I arrived he had my info pulled from last year and put us in the same room as last year to make things more at home. The resort has been repainted and things were definitely clean and in order. No bugs, no loud people. They have seemed to beef there security as well. I won’t steer away from Grand Atlantic again.

It was very clean. Rooms where very clean and very well kept not destroyed or trashy very good condition highly recommended to anyone who wants good rooms and great service

The room was amazing. The check in process including a free nightly movie. The indoor pool is clean and warm. The outdoor pool might be warmer than the indoor with the bonus of having the ocean as a backdrop. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. Parking was ample even if we did not always park on the same floor as our room. Wonderful experience can’t wait to return.

Juat went to visit a friend but the view was amazing! The room looked nice as well.

This place is amazing. I have stayed here twice about a month away from making it our third. People need to remember that if you don’t like your room don’t blame it on the hotel. Every room is privately owned so if you don’t like ur room complain to them. This place dosent have the best parking garage but it is a great place all together. There is easy beach access and nice little store and small ice cream place downstairs. I highly recommend going to Grand Atlantic Ocean Resort,SC.

This was my first trip to Mrytle Beach and I really enjoyed this property. It was comfortable and welcoming.

The room price was great. The atmosphere was pleasant. The amenities were wonderful. A very simple place to stay. We enjoyed it.

Roach infested!!! AC not working property for two days of our 5 day stay! Dirty washcloth in washer, trash and food from previous stay under beds! Beer bottle used as ash tray left on balcony from previous stay!

Went there as a surprise early Christmas present from my Army future brother-in-law who is stationed in Korea for awhile and wont be home for the holidays.The hotel overall was nice, comfy beds, a little noisy at night from the neighbors on our last night but they eventually went to bed. They have a lazy river, pool, hot tub, and a smaller pool under cover. They also have a pool and a smaller pool with a water fall type thing in the sun on the way to the beach.

Booked an extra day after checkout, staff upgraded my booking and let me stay in my original room. That was pretty awesome!

There was a terrible odor of cat pee because of the stray cats running around near the resort. Once we left this resort and went to another resort down the road we QUICKLY learned that Grand Atlantic was a very undesirable location for us. We did not see any guest’s food/garbage lying around like we did at Grand Atlantic. We also DID NOT see Roaches all over the pool area and swimming in the pool with our children. Also Grand Atlantic‘s smelled like marijuana. Not sure why management is making this about an eviction and denying everything I have written above. Because that would make management very dishonest because everything I have written is true.

I had a beautiful 19th floor room with a partial ocean view balcony.It was an all around beautiful hotel and the staff was very nice and very helpful. It was an amazing stay, and I will definitely stay there again! Thanks for everything Grand Atlantic!

I was skeptical of these reviews but I just got back from my 4 day stay at the Grand Atlantic Resort. My stay here was amazing! We had the smaller hotel room with a partial view to the ocean and it was very memorable! We will be back!!!

It was great! Amazing view, amazing staff, we enjoyed our stay very much!

The room was nice but the we could never get the AC unit working properly. Finally had to sleep with the window open for it to be comfortable. The condo lacked any supplies. No dish soap, no salt and pepper or basic things.

The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly that checked me in. The hotels parking garage wasnt too bad and was convenient all around for the elevators. The room had an interesting smell when we arrived. We allowed it to air out and turned down the A/C.The room was clean and was a little dated with the decor. The balcony was a nice size. All of the beds were comfortable but 1. It was very springy. When I say springy, I mean you could literally see the springs through the sheets.Besides the 1 horrible bed, the dryer gave out. I would be willing to trying the resort again.

Nice rooms and nice amenities for a good price

I thought it was a beautiful hotel. The staff was very helpful and very nice. It was clean, and over all, it was a very pleasant stay. I will definitely recommend this hotel. And I will definitely stay there again my next visit to Myrtle Beach.

My family &I have stayed at the hotel many times before. This time I was bitten by bed bugs. I was asleep in the living room on the couch, I kept scratching my neck. Finally, I got up to try and figure out what was going on. I look down at the pillow and sure enough a bed bug was crawling down the pillow. I took the pillow to the commode where I dumbed it there.

The one-bedroom condo was nicely furnished. The king bed was comfortable; nice pillows. Adequate kitchen tools and dishes. Beautiful view of the Atlantic Carpet was stained, but not enough to request a room change. Pools were clean and warm. Staff was friendly.

We rented our condo here from a private owner. It was fantastic. Clean and beautifully decorated. All the comforts of home plus the view is amazing.

The building is nice and clean for the most part. Pool was closed unfortunately due to Covid-19. This place definitely attracts the lower clientele though. Our entire stay we had to deal with multiple people smoking marijuana in their rooms and on the balconies. Not a nice smell and certainly not what what I wanted to explain to my younger kids.Management should have a better handle on this. Guess the nickname Dirty Myrtle is true.

The Grand Atlantic was wonderful. Huge spacious room with ocean side balcony. Their own parking garage. It was Awesome. Id definitely stay there Again.

I was VERY pleased with my stay. The hotel is nice. This was my first stay at Grand Atlantic. Our three- bedroom was VERY accommodating for my dad who is in a wheelchair. My only quirk was that we had a hard time in the bathroom wih him but overall, everything was GREAT!!! I will stay again if I come with my family.

All of the rooms are owned by different people, so it’s difficult to rate this place. However, the common amenities show that this place is in need of some TLC. It looks run down and dirty. Even simple things like towels at the pool were hard to come by. The pools were dirty. You could tell that I’m our room was cleaned very quickly. I was thankful that I brought Clorox wipes with me and that we didn’t stay long.

Once we were changed from 801-1 to 2002 everything was awesome. I have stayed at resorts just as nice that offered breakfast so that surprised me a little. Customer service from front desk and housekeeping was awesome

We stayed in room 1205 and loved it so much we added an extra day.The room was much nicer than expected,front desk helpful,clean,and so much fun!We will be coming back!I do not think that we should have been charged so much for room cleaning service though since we cleaned our own room all week due to the stuff going on with COVID.

Got a 4 bedroom 2 rooms together and I misplace my car pass went to get another one and they said the only give 3 parking passes and threatened to tow my car and they only gave 2 set at of towels for 3 bathrooms most definitely will not be staying here Landmark Resort all the way

The first room they put us in 1801, was horrid. The carpet was filthy, the room smelled like a fish fry. It was stuffy. The linen was old. The towels were yellow. It looked like no one had been in that room for years. We asked to be moved, relieved a room on the 12th floor that was like a night and day difference. It smelled clean, the carpet was somewhat clean, the linen and the bedspreads were all white. There was a couple cock roaches in the bathroom area by the pool. We did not see any bugs of any kind in our room.

Beautiful view. Clean rooms. Helpful staff. Close to pretty much everything. Our freezer stopped producing ice. Within minutes of calling for a repair, maintenance was at the door and resolved the issue. Fresh linen everyday. Tight, annoying parking garage though. Recommend the open lot over flow across the street.

I like that check in was quick, the rooms was spacious. The room did not overall smell like smoke, even though it is a non smoking room, it was still a stitch...couldnt really sit outside on the balcony as much, alot of smoke around us. The 2nd night, we could hear the guest in the other room arguing for hours. The parking was terrible. We had to park across the street. But we enjoyed our stay.

Very clean, staff was nice and friendly. Only thing I didnt like was snack machines and drink machinesAre on different floors than one another and our room floor and only one ice machine.

After looking at all the different reviews I must say our stay was great...Front desk was great Rachel was awesome over the phone answering all my questions.Room was clean roomy,with me being a picky as I am lol I will definitely be back ...only thing I would say there was no dish soap no biggy

Very dirty place to stay! Housekeeping very poor and the rooms were filthy! It would be degrading for pigs to even stay there! If I could give it a zero I would!!!

The condo was nice enough and spacious although a little dated. The grounds were cluttered with trash and in need of a little TLC.

Apparently, it is common for the refrigerators to not get cold for the first 24 hours per maintenance and the manager. Other than that, we have enjoyed our stay.

The rooms were in great condition. We loved the location and plenty of pools for everyone. It has very easy access to the beach. The elevator is were slow but it is a busy season. Overall great experience.

Location is amazing. Beach and pools are beautiful and clean. Convenient parking. Hotel is currently being updated, so it looks great. Negatives are that both TVs in our king sized suite were broken. Bathroom fan was broken. Dryer had an extremely loud noise that made it impossible to use while in the room and took 2 hours to dry a normal sized load. Late check-out is also not accommodated. Other than that, absolutely fantastic stay and we will be back! Just not in this particular unit.

Orbitz has listed an $8 property fee. At check in, I was accessed an additional $13 property fee. How many property fees are there? To top it off, there is no service, just handed a room key....for $21?

I felt harassed and invaded the very first night when I return to my room around 2am using a luggage cart to carry some items in. Security knocks on my door and said there was a complaint about a pet running around in my room. After assuring him that I had no pet he was not satisfied until I let him enter my room. I have never felt so disrespected, invaded, and harassed!!!

It was very accommodating, bug enough for our family. The room were clean. The beds were uncomfortable. They have a restaurant downstairs which were very convenient and the food was good and affordable, you can also buy alcoholic beverages at affordable rates. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel has a good location and plenty of room for the guests, also has good pools. What I thought could be improved upon and why Im rating it a 3 is due to: the AC its set at 69 and cannot be changed. Our room stayed at 74-75 degrees no matter what we did. The beds were stiff and firm, the couch was very warn. Everything was clean, but things were definitely worn down. It suited our needs but not sure we would stay here again.Edited: Spoke with Josh at the hotel and he is going to look into the concerns.

Needs updating but had a great stay! We rented the 4 bedroom condo, ocean front view and it worked perfectly for us. The food/drink shop connected to the hotel was a HUGE plus, they serve everything and it was all amazing! The parking garage can get a little frustrating as its pretty small and people fly around it. The elevators were one of the worst things, they took forever and since we were on the 16th floor we had no choice really. We did check out the small workout area and it worked perfect for us, was clean and offered a variety of things.

Confortable, clean and great place

Not very satisfied with this years accommodations as we were given a room which appeared to be of normal quality standards however on the first day we discovered two roaches in different rooms. We spoke with the front desk and explained the situation as we did catch them in a plastic cup for proof, and they decided to move us down seven floors to another room. upon unpacking everything we discovered the same problem there and captured for proof as well. We had a another person in our party who was staying several floors above our first room who indicated the same problem which confirms the building has a pest control situation widespread. No other composition granted. We will address it with our vacation company. Other than that the rooms are of good standard quality views are amazing.

We rented out 2 rooms and they were clean and spacious. Check in ladies we’re very informative and helpful. Only down side was the elevators, they were pretty slow especially since we were on the PH level.

Loved the ocean view. I would have preferred a higher elevation. Parking was kind of a pain if you have a roof carrier. The room was nice and clean. Hallway s and elevator seemed kind of dirty. My kids had a blast boogey boarding. I will definitely return to myrtle beach.

Beds were horrible, dishwasher was extremely loud to the point of not being able to have a conversation in the same room, the AC digital thermostat was not adjustable, and the carpets did not look like they had been vacuumed. We were extremely dissatisfied and expressed this to the manager and was told there wasn’t anything he could do. “All of the units are privately owned, therefore there wasn’t anything he could.” Will never stay there again!

Nice place love the room

The pools are great, and the view is amazing. We were unhappy with our first room, we found it very uncomfortable. After hearing we were unhappy, the mgmt moved us too a much nicer room. We are very pleased, the room is gorgeous, with an impeccable view. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Thank you for making our vacation 10x better.

They have roaches.... I called the front desk and said we have bugs, can we switch rooms? She said I cant guarantee the other room wont have roaches. I never mentioned roaches, so they already KNEW!!!!

Condo unit was awesome - pool crowded

I personally didn’t have a good experience here. They only give you two parking passes. We booked a three bedroom condo which means we have multiple people driving their own cars. They refused to give us another pass for the third vehicle. Instead we had to pay to park on the street everyday. Who wants to worry about parking while on vacation. Also, they’re housekeeping did a poor job with our unit. Floors were still sandy and wet upon arrival. The bedding was not great either. I would say the only positive is the location and being oceanfront. I wouldn’t recommend for big families.

Great place. Very affordable for winter months and the beaches are not crowded.

Great sea front hotel

Conveniently located near the beach but if personal comfort is at all important to you this is not the place to stay, the beds are horrible, I almost broke my tailbone when I first sat down on it. Also it looks like this place hasnt been renovated since the 70s. Everything looks very old from the headboard to the flower comforter and the dresser with the varnish chipped off.

Very Beautiful view oceanside . Plenty of activities for the children. Great rooms with full kitchen dining and living room in the 2 bedroom Condo I stayed in. Only downside is I couldnt stay longer. Front desk was extremely helpful.

We stayed at the Grand Atlantic Resort for for three nights in the winter. The room and facilities were clean and well maintained. Very convenient location. My favorite feature though was that the indoor pools were actually warm! We have visited several other Myrtle resorts in the off season and found their heated pools coolly breathtaking. Its not the Ritz, but this is a great resort for families and a fantastic value.

Like most of the condos in MB, this one has multiple pools, lazy river, exercise room, lounge chairs facing the ocean and more. The common areas are well maintained.All the condos have equipped kitchen, and a washer and a dryer, and a DVD player with an option of renting DVDs from the hotel.Depending on the unit, furniture may be in varying state of use but not shabby.The condo building is non-smoking anywhere, but do not expect to sit on the balcony, if you do not like smoke. That seems to be something that is hard to enforce.Do not rent through the hotel management, since your price is going to include maid service, which is almost nonexistent. This is the service, which is very expensive, and there seems to be no training of the maids or any oversight. The maids, who are supposed to, according to their list of duties, do several things daily, do not do them, and need to be even sometimes reminded to do the beds. If you decide to rent the unit in this building, do it through a realtor agency or rent directly from the owner. At least, you do not pay for the service, which you do not get anyway.

Stayed here for our first vacation as a couple. It was beautiful. The room was great. Location was great, access to the beach and staff was wonderful! The downstairs area in front with food and drinks was awesome and right across the street is a small corner store!
