The Sand Dunes Resort is a clean and well cared for complex, though the lobby is bland and dated. Each unit is individually owned and maintained; from peeking in windows and doors it appears that many have been recently remodeled and updated.My stay was made excellent with the assistance of the Hotel Manager Dillon Brown. He was quick to respond to my questions and concerns.At the time of check in, I was instructed on how to get additional linens: When they were needed, I followed the instructions and had no problems... BASED ON OTHER REVIEWS, I CANT HELP BUT WONDER WHY PEOPLE DONT LISTEN AND FOLLOW SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS!The unit was very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen (oven, pots, pans, bowls, you name it) and a full size front loading washer and dryer so no dirty laundry had to make the journey home!The pools and hot tubs were clean and well maintained and the location of the property was close to everything Myrtle Beach has to offer.My visit with family and friends was great and I look forward to returning to the Sand Dunes again.

It was amazing me & my family loved it. We had a 3 bedroom 2 bath condo with a balcony. We will be returning next summer maybe even sooner. It was clean and nice. And it had a water park and a lot of pools & lazy rivers. A bar and a few restaurants. Everyone should stay here for vacation. I got a great deal too.

Booked this resort for a 3 night weekend get away with a couple other families. We got one of the family 3 bed 2 bath suites on the north tower. The location itself is not bad, nice access to the beach, cool water park and pools. But cleanliness is ... well not there. Upon arrival we noticed all beds were covered in sand and lots of hair. There was also blood staining on much of the bedding. Floors felt like they hadn’t been moped in a while. The building feels pretty outdated as well. I asked the front desk to replace the bedding, which they said they would, but housekeeping never showed. I called a couple more times with no success. Overall service was terrible, front desk not very friendly at all. We are definitely not coming back to this resort. Have been too much better ones for the money in the area such as the Sea Crest and Caribbean. I recommend them way more over this place.

Marie checked us in and she was so helpful and friendly!! Everyone who works here is just lovely! The room was clean and comfortable! We had a problem with the TV and a staff member was up to fix it in less than 5 minutes!! We will be back again and again and again!!!

My wife and I have been vacationing at Sand Dunes since 2012. We love this resort. We always stay in the one bedroom oceanfront room. There is a full kitchen, living room, dinette and one bath. Plenty of room for two. Huge water park and Neptune blacklight indoor mini golf on property. And, the beach & sunrises from the balcony.

We just got back from there and will never book there again! We were 3 families, coming from 3 different directions. We only got 2 parking passes, not enough passes for everyone for the water park and pool.In the hotel room weren’t even enough shower towels for everyone and didn’t get more after requesting some. Even though we already requested extra towels and blankets when booking the room, which weren’t there either. We asked for more towels 2 nights later and were told we have a washer and dryer in the room to wash towels.Had the plumber coming 3 times the first day because the water didn’t go down in bathroom and kitchen sink.The next day the water was completely shut off and after calling the front desk we were told that they had to shut off the water at some floors for maintenance. No warning ahead of time.Oh and no pool towels are provided either! But they sure are available at other hotels!Take your business somewhere else!

The reason for my rating is because of the following: we arrived around 11 p.m. Thursday for check in. My family and I made reservations for 2, two bedroom suites. (We were a total of 8 adults and 3 children) When we went up to our rooms Suite #1 was dirty. There was hair all over the bathroom, dirty toilets, dirty mirrors, dirty sinks, the bed sheets had several black stains, and at this point we didnt even check the rest of the villa. Suite #2 smelt like an ash tray. This villa was a non smoking suite and it reeked of cigarettes. We immediately went back to the lobby and spoke to the check in staff. Long story short, we were told there wasnt any other rooms available and all they could do is give us a full refund. Which would have been fine however the refund would take 3-5 business days to clear. After paying around $1,400.00 for we couldnt afford to go pay somewhere else. Plus, we had 3 small children (who were very cranky), it was passed midnight, and most hotels were booked. So after another hour of trying to figure something out, one of the check in staff members (the one who actually cared and showed interest in helping us) called her manager (who worked from home) and was able to move us into 2 other two bedroom suites. We were told they had to move other check ins for the next day. One of the 2 bedroom suites was fine. However, some of their linens still had stains. We asked for extra sheets and we had to change them out ourselves due to minimal staff sense it was the middle of the night (almost 2 a.m at this point), which was understandable. The second two bedroom villa was ok. Dirty carpets and left over food in fridge and we also changed the sheets on all 4 beds but at least we had a place to crash for the night. We were told that we could speak to the manager the next day at 3 p.m., which we did. After speaking directly to the manager, he was able to move us once more into a non carpeted two bedroom suite and the rest of our stay was finally pleasing. I can say that the images that are shown on their website and 3rd party reservation websites, such as Expedia, were not the villas we got the first time but did look more like the villas we got after all this hassle.

The place was nice. The floors needed to be swept in the room. The only issue we had was, this was supposed to be a non smoking facility. On more than one occasion, we smelled cigarette smoke coming in our room. We figured it was the room next to us.. We called the front desk to let them know but the issue was never resolved. Otherwise, it was a good place to stay for the price.

We rented a 3 bedroom condo for our family vacation. I read several bad reviews and I can tell you they are all wrong! We had 5 children ages 3 to 11 and they loved the pools and the Waterpark. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in was at 4pm however, the staff called us at 1230 to let us know our room was ready. The 3 bedroom condo was perfect! It was well stocked to meet all of our needs. I cannot think of one complaint. My family had an excellent stay at Sand Dunes Resort! Thank you to each member of the staff for providing excellent customer service!

This is a Awesome place to vacation or to just get away for the week end.Good staff very hard working folks.Front desk folks are really good.Very knowledgeable about area in general.Now that we have discovered the Dunes.We stay here every time we go to the beach.

Happy to say that I chose this place for my family vacation. The units are clean and spacious and the staff was friendly.The weather in October is amazing - 82° in late October is fantastic.There are several different buildings...most are ocean front or with a North or South angled view. In particular the south facing building is amazing at this time of year because of the sunlight pouring in the unit all day long.Get one of the higher units (on the 5th or 6th floor or above) to get the best possible view.

Claudine is awesome!!! She deserves to be a manager or better!!! She helped us so much to make sure our daughters 16th birthday was perfect! She set a wake up call and made sure we had plenty of everything we needed! I love this place and it is folks like Claudine that make it happen!!! So polite and awesome customer service. I love the amenities and the view. Being a disabled veteran they were so very helpful and understanding to make sure our stay was perfect and it was!!! I highly recommend staying here and give 5 starts to the resort and 10 stars to Claudine!!!! The most absolute best!!! Sands needs to promote her now!!!

Well we rented a suite which had 3 bedrooms. We had 6 adults and 5 kids.Asked for 3 parking passes and we only got 2 and was told to park at a paymeter. Even worse was the pool and water park. They only gave us waterpark pass for 3 adults and 3 kids. Plead our case for more passes at the front desk to no avail. I was able to talk to the attendant who checks passes and they understood and let us enter. The suite rooms were ok, but there was an exclamation needed for why we wanted extra towels. I had to call maintenance on 2 seperate occasions, for a stuck sink stopper and clogged kitchen sinks. For the amount of money paid I definately would not recommend a stay at this place. The customer service is abysmal.

Some of the buildings are not as well maintained as others. We had concerns about an elevator so we took the stairs only to find used condoms and fecal matter. When we exited the stairwell, it was flooded with stagnant water that we had to walk through, pretty disgusting! We were given another room in the main building. Very well maintained. We ended up with an ocean view suite which was quite nice. The staff is very helpful & professional. This was their saving grace in my book. Otherwise, I would have left.

I had a horrible experience with 2 customer service representatives and the manager. My husband and I reserved a room for my birthday weekend, but had to cancel 3 days prior due to a death in the family. I was told I could receive all but $50 back, but when I asked what the $50 was for (even for a funeral that could not be avoided) and I received attitude and judgment. I asked if I could maybe speak to a manager to run the situation by him/her. When the manager called me, she told me that because the death in my family was an aunt, it wasnt considered immediate and she was unwilling to waive the $50 cancellation fee. I asked her what defines immediate because my husbands aunt was a big part of his life and very close to him. She told me it still wasnt considered immediate--I guess she is the ultimate judge of who is and isnt. I told her that as a manager myself, I felt it was really poor to tell a customer that someone isnt immediate family and not be empathetic or understanding in the situation. She proceeded to tell me well as a manager you should know that you cannot just refund everybody for things that come up. It really wasnt even about the money at this point. Neither the customer service rep nor the manager ever even acknowledged that this is a hard time for us. Very poor customer service. We will never book here again.

We had a 1 bedroom suite on the second floor. Our room was nice and clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful! The water park was extremely fun for our kids as well as us! They have an arcade and black light mini golf as well as indoor and outdoor pools! We will definitely stay here again!

If give this place 3 stars reluctantly.First time here and last time here.Rooms are dated even though they tried to update them.Room we reserved looks nothing like the online rooms. SMHThis is more like a hotel as opposed to a resort.I am a little disappointed- but I was with my loving husband, so we mad the best of it.

I’ll start by saying the rooms looked nothing like it was advertised, very out dated and not 100 percent clean.. We had a two bedroom villa and we got bit by bed bugs in the bed and on the couch both nights we stayed! I definitely would not come back! I brought my son here and chose this hotel because of the water park and variety of pools which he had lots of fun but overall it wasn’t worth it getting bit! One star for me!

View and location were great! We requested adjoining rooms 3 months in advance when we booked our stay. I called a week before check in to verify they had our request and they said they did. I called the day before check in and we still had our request noted. We check in and they cant put us in adjoining rooms but on the same floor, rooms were about 5 rooms apart. Our first room was not clean and so they moved us to another floor and again, no adjoining but same floor and down an L shaped hall. I thought the reason and purpose of requesting and asking in advance was to receive your request. Both of our rooms HAD doors with adjoining access. Also, the 2 rooms we had first and the 2 rooms we were moved to, had nasty refrigerators. So bring your on cleaning supplies!

When we first got here we thought it was going to be amazing but as soon as we walked in we were not greeted and the staff was very rude. we checked in and got to our room we noticed that the beds had sand all over them and the noticed that there were a bunch of nasty stains on one and stripped it. when we looked at the other bed we noticed a very large crusty white substance. we then went to the front desk and asked for a nicer room and they moved us but we had the same issues with this room it was not clean and either had mold on the ceiling or water damage that was covered by paint but the wall next to the bed had mold on it so we decided to keep the first room and just went and bought blankets for ourselves. definitely would not recommend this place at all nor will we be returning

They were small but nice.clean but never recieved service apparently because of covid 19.the park was tight and hard to park.they also did not have any grills on sight.There was so much todo it was still awesome.had like 4 pools 2 lazy rivers and a water park for the kids. The landscape was beautiful with palmtrees and plants. It also had a game room and blacklight minigolf

Beautiful view from our balcony. Bed was uncomfortable and they didnt have fitted sheets in the bed, so the sheets kept coming off. First room, AC wasnt working. Second room didnt have the refrigerator we were promised. In the room we ended up in, the refrigerator didnt work well. Management was very helpful to change our room. Parking garage is a little tight for larger vehicles. Water park was nice.

Im speaking for the condo alone. Room # 1509. It was extremely clean and beautifully renovated. We requested no carpet and thats what we got! The Resort itself was okay. Its off season and its cold outside so we were expecting a heated indoor pool. However, they dont have that, its the same temperature as if you were in an outdoor pool. Not really impressed with the hotel amenities.. But the Resort is conveniently located near lots of restaurants, not to far from Broadway, outlets and the mall. My overall experience here was great. Whoever own condo #1509. You have an awesome establishment. It truly felt like our home away from home.

Very fun resort. My 2 year old had a blast. So many pools there and most are open till 11pm. Only thing is I feel like paying $800 for 2 nights for a 2 bedroom suite was a little much especially because it wasnt as nice as I though it was going to be for that price. Still a nice room though.

This resort does NOT rent to locals! I have never heard of anything like this! Locals pay taxes and work in your hotels and they are not allowed to stay at your property?? This is a shame...absolutely disgraceful. Also, whoever made that rule obviously sucks at business. People from other states and countries are under stringent COVID travel restrictions to Myrtle Beach and instead of tapping into the local market you are turning guests away. I would never recommend anybody to stay at a property that discriminates against their very neighbors. Shame on you Sand Dunes!

The worst experience I have had, is my first time in this place and I looked for this hotel because it seemed excellent for families, Mom alone with my 3 teenage children driving 3 hours for nothing but from the day I arrived it was a nightmare. Many people smoking marijuana in the parking lot and in groups the strong smell, but that is not all ...... the room that I reserved was not available and they gave me another, for my worst nightmare since day 1 I could not enjoy even the balcony of the room because the smell of marijuana was like it was next to me was terrible, also my kids didnt enjoy the activities in the hotel they was scare. I could not with the headache and nausea at the end we could not sleep because the strong smell was inside the room and worse the noise was unbearable. Today June 09 in the morning there was a man who works at the hotel to evict people who were next to my door for other rooms complained about the smell. I went to make the check out and I explained what happened and they were not able to offer anything, I did not hear any apology and all that the room was dirty with a toothbrush by someone else next to one of the dirty beds and sheets and the sofa was nasty. clarification I did not go the first day because I thought that everything that happened was normal in this place and I did not want problems with anyone with all this that now people are so sensitive. Please people dont come to this place . dont think its cheap NO, there were other hotels near the sky wheel at $ 116 per night and I chose this one for $ 157 every night just because it had a lazy river but dont come here its very dirty and dangerous.

The room looked nothing like the pictures on the internet!! Justin, at the front desk, said that the rooms are individually owned. So you wont know what youre getting until you walk in the room! They should state that on the website! Also the waterpark has been closed since September! They should really update that on the website! Especially for ppl checking in with children!! Needless to say, we did not spend the night at this hotel. We got a refund and went to The Strand!

My daughter loves the splash pad and water slides. The pools are nice tevery We played in the arcade and had fun. Great place for kids. As an adult I dont like the fact that the rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis. Weve been here for 3 nights so far and have only gotten towels. The room hasnt been cleaned at all. I took the trash out myself. There is sand everywhere here. We just put towels down.

Hotel is big and nice but they seem to be slacking up on keeping up with power washing the facility. Room was nice but balcony was filthy. Ac system draining on balcony and mildew growing awning below growing mildew and elevator area wall in lobby needs cleaning. Good price and room was right in front the ocean. FacilityJust needs some good cleaning.

Definitely not staying again, the room had roaches and also the pool on the second floor was dirty and the pool in the other building had roaches in it. Definitely dont recommend and will never stay again

Cleaning crew stole my Teal JBL Flip 4 speaker my boss paid $200 for 2 years ago as my Christmas gift. Management refuses to do anything, so Im going to replace it myself from amazon for $80, but that doesnt replace the sentimental value it had. Again, management refuses to do anything about it.Great atmosphere if dont count the thievery.Stayed Sept 19-23.I would go back but I wont take anything of value.

Exquisite hotel, one of the nicest resorts at Myrtle Beach. Staff does a very good job at keeping property clean, as well as assisting those who need help with anything from guidance to places around town, and any housekeeping needs. I forgot the code to my safe in the closet, and they had someone there to assist me within 10 minutes.

The drinks were awesome. The location of the property, meaning all the other activities and dining choices were awesome and not to far away. BUT THE ROOM WAS TERRIBLE ! SAND IN THE SHEETS, THE A.C. UNIT WAS FALLING APART !! HONESTLY FOR WHAT WE PAID I EXPECTED A CLEAN ROOM, AND A AIR CONDITIONER THAT WORKED PROPERLY. Other than that is was a ok experience.

Nice resort lots of amenities and just outside the Myrtle Beach downtown area which makes it a little less slower without all the crowds.

The view from the 11th floor was perfect and the hotel accommodations were great. My family had a great time and the members of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms could be cleaner but the overall experience itself was great.

Great stay 2019. This year not so good. Wall peeling, kitchen cabinets outside dirty. Floors not so clean . one of the closets in bedroom was holding cleaning supplies, broom, dust pan, wet mop. Unkempt appearance. Did not see one person cleaning or sanitizing in elevators or surrounding areas. With COVID I GUESS IF NOTHING MORE I EXPECTED CLEAN. INSTEAD I WAS EMBARESSED. ps...the 1st bedroom on your right has a mattress protected not protecting much when it is ripped from one side of bed to other horizontal

We just loved! My kids are enjoyed all of the pools and we have places for relaxing. Very good location. And the staff is excellent and very friendly.

This was a great resort for families. Plenty of thing to do without leaving the resort. Only thing it thenroom could have been cleaner.

Everything was great. Front desk service was phenomenal. Only issue was, I stay in ocean front and leave the balcony open to sleep listening to the sounds, maintenance was firing up generators well before 8:00am. Not how I expected to awaken...each morning.

This place has everything you need. Water park, 2 arcades, indoor and outdoor pools... you dont have to leave unless you want to.

Our stay was great, the only reason they lost a star with this review is that I had booked a room with two queens and our room had 2 double beds. Wasnt the biggest deal but it was supposed to be a romantic weekend away for my boyfriend and I so double beds and slightly large people just kinda killed the notion of romance.

This condominium has a ton of bad reviews but we had a great experience. We booked a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom penthouse condo for 7 days for our family. The rooms were clean, the carpet fresh and it didn’t smell like cigarettes. The bathrooms were clean as well with little complimentary toiletries. The kitchen was spacious but the pots and pans were the cheap ones. There were plenty of dishes and silverware. The living & dining area were comfortable and provided a full unobstructed view of the beach and skyline. The living room shared a balcony with the master bedroom which offered a jacuzzi bathtub and more beach views. The hallway closet had a washer and dryer which was a huge plus seeing as we were a family of six there for a 7 day vacation.The hotel water park was a huge draw for my youngest two. They chose the water park EVERYDAY. The indoor pool was a bonus on the over cast or rainy day or just if you needed a sun break.

Water Park was closed for the season. There was no note of it when we made reservations. Floors were gritty as if no body swept after the last people stayed in them. Hotel Restuarant and Bar closed had to go across the street. No snack vending machine was told I would have to walk to the 76th Avenue and were on the 74th in the middle of the night for a snack.

With having 6 kids its was worth it. Great spot on beach. Plenty of activities for kids of all my group. And if they dont have what your looking for. I bet it can be found with in 2 blocks.

Elevators could be more cleaner and smell could be better but I had a great stay the pool and jacuzzi was nice !

I like that the parking is on the first 5 levels and the rentals are above that with ocean views. You can also buy a unit pretty inexpensively.

Let me start with this I have been coming here since well before I can truly remember as a kid. Secondly we have been waiting since 1:30 to get into our room, we are just now getting into our room! Let’s start with what is wrong with the room there is blood on the sheets/ dresser! There is a huge pile of dirt in the bathroom! The sheets have a mans special recipe on them! And to top all this off they won’t send no one other than house keeping to the room unless we leave the room???? Dead why because you just going to ignore all that is wrong?? I am so done with this place my family has came here to greave the passing of my Grandpa for our first trip as a family and we can’t because we are cleaning our room that we have payed to be cleaned in the first place!!

Beautiful location. Easy check in and check out process. The rooms are very clean and full equipped with the basic essentials. I truly love the fact that the refrigerator and oven was very clean. Loved the floor plan of our suite. We had a 3 bedrooms 2 full baths and a pullout couch that slept 8-10 comfortablely. It was worth the price we paid.

The 3BR suite (unit 1503 in the north tower) was beyond disappointing. The unit appeared to not have been cleaned in months, if not longer. The floors were so nasty, I went to Walmart and purchased a mop and floor cleaner and cleaned them myself, so that I knew my family was walking in clean floors. We were unable to enjoy the lovely balcony since the guests on the floor above us were constantly on the balcony smoking marijuana, which drifted to our balcony every time they lit up (which was CONSTANTLY based on the never-ending stench). We purposefully booked a unit that contained a washer and dryer given that we were traveling with an infant. The washer and dryer stacked units were so old, especially the dryer which was rusted out inside. The mattress in the master bedroom must have come over on the ark and is way overdue to be replaced. We spent a considerable amount of money, but definitely did not get our money’s worth with this stay. Lastly, the parking deck which allows for two way traffic is not clearly marked as such and we constantly encountered other guests when entering or leaving the deck who obviously did not realize it was two way traffic as we often encountered guests upon the middle of the up and down ramps. We won’t be staying here ever again and if you’re considering this hotel, I’d reconsider booking elsewhere.

Let me say that I don’t blame this on the staff. 3 bed 2 bath condo with a balcony (ocean view), the condo was pretty nice all things considered. The dryer was rusted and ruined a cheap shirt I had (no big deal). As stated by previous guests, loud parties go on well past 4 am including fireworks that explode through the night. I actually had to contact the local police to visit the unit above us who were playing loud music, screaming (literally), and partying well past 4 am. There is no security at the “resort” after hours. At one point people were actually throwing things from their balconies onto the road below WTH!? I guess if you’re still in high school or college this is the place for you. If you have a family find somewhere else to vacation.

First of all. The hotel stinks when you walk in it. I was not going to complain or write a review because I ended up enjoying my time with my family. Tonight I spoke with the “manager” by the name of Kyle. He was completely rude, disregarding and his customer service lacked to a whole other level. Every employee I came across was great, I have been here for 5 days, and he completely changed my mind about this place. He is by far the worst customer service employee, entitled, and rude.

My check-in experience was terrible. The staff was very rude and impatient. I can understand having a bad day but when in customer service it is important to at least try not to affect the type of service you provide. I will never stay here again simply because of the type of service we received!

It was my first time to Myrtle Beach. My son and I had a great experience at the resort. Everyone we came in contact with was very nice and accommodating. Our room was nice but dated. I had reserved a room with a view of the water park, but I had a better view of a parking garage. I loved that there were several choices of places to eat at the resort that were not pricey. I would definitely stay again, but Id get oceanfront.

10/2/20 Started off on a wrong foot when at checkin we were informed the water park pool was closed.That same week I called ahead of time and was told the water park would be open unless it was cold . I further questioned what was considered cold. She replied freezing temperatures she went further to ask when we arrive and I told her Friday She then said yes it will still be open. We specifically picked this hotel for the water park knowing the temperatures would be 75-76 during our stay. The front desk manager Kyle lacked empathy. I was very upset since 4 grand kids were promised this and soon to arrive. Kyles solution was quickly given he said he would cancel my reservation for me to go elsewhere . A little understanding would have gone along way. And apparently this is their go to Just leave. I asked to speak to his manager (Dillon Brown) who was on the property however he refused to come speak with me. I was given his card.So we unloaded the car and proceeded to the room.The laundry door was off the track and just leaning on the wall my husband fixed it. Kids arrived we started supper and plating food second plate absolutely never cleaned. We are in middle of a pandemic and the plates are all dirty in the cabinets . Not sure how housekeeping missed this. I called Dillion Brown operations manager he quickly went to apparently you cant be satisfied I will be happy to refund your money and you leave. REALLY? We have unpacked 4 little kids and adults. Just started dinner however because Im upset lets just kick them out. He offered to move our room and we looked at the new room he was moving us to and it was not any better and to find cart and move after we had just gotten unpacked seemed daunting. We ended up eating out after taking everything out of the cabinets. silverware and washed it all. During the stay we asked for towels and were told the unit had a washer and we were expected to do the towels laundry. No where did I see that in anything I read online or on our reservations. I did send these photos of the plates via email to Mr Brown and no response. I did ask Mr Brown who was over him and he replied No one. I asked who owed it or what corporation owns it he told me he was over all 5? Buildings.One bath tub didnt have a stopper, tv remotes not working, elevators smelt like mold, hotel over all not clean. I feel like I totally overpaid for what I got especially since the water park was the amenity that I was seeking. The manager made you feel like you couldnt bring up anything wrong or they would show you the door.The good: the location is nice, the 3 bedroom configurations worked well.

If you have kids this is definitely the place for you it has a water park for the kids lazy river for me lol the adults they have valet parking awesome place.

Room was not clean, floors were not clean, water was coming up from floors and we couldnt take our shoes off. The amenities were terrific. The waterpark and pools were very nice, but was not impressed at all with Sand Dunes Villas.....gross.

I stayed at this resort on 09/25/2020! I had a 3 bedroom North Tower. The first bed I looked at had stains and cigarette burns on the comforter which made me check all the beds! There was crumbs on one of the beds, another bed had dirt marks, and hair on it. All the beds looked dirty and the pillows were horrible! The dishwasher had an out of order sign! There were chips under the chair in living room. I reported it to management and spoke to two managers! They were rude and telling me how busy they were. That made the situation worse because I’m a paying customer and their workload has nothing to do with me. After calling 5 times they eventually sent someone with linen for me to change all 5 beds since house keeping is not going into rooms due to Covid. I was exhausted from traveling and changing 5 beds was not what I payed for! After complaining more they sent someone to help me change the beds! I will NEVER stay here again! I paid $825 for 3 Nights!!

What started as a nice place ended up being stuck between a rock and a hard bed... the ac stopped working in our suite and the hotel tried to put us in a much smaller room so we stayed with no ac, with no apology much less a discount. I really expected something better.

We stayed for 5 nights and had a blast. The villa is not the nicest room scenery-- but the location, price, and convenience make up for it.We werent 100% satisfied but after speaking with Dillon we got another building on the oceanview side, man was that Amazing!! The hotel has a waterpark + 4 pools, two inside - two or three outside. My daughter had a blast chosing which pool to hop in next. Laundry was cheap and easy. The restaurants were all really tasty. I would completely recommend it for a family get-away.

Stayed at a two bedroom suite for two nights. The room was pretty clean, although the decor was dated and the wall lamps were old with the switches not working right. Had all of the amenities of a condo. My daughter clogged the toilet. It took the guy about two hours to get to my room, but he was friendly. Having stayed in the winter time, the pools and the ice cream area was closed. Overall, it was a pretty good bang for the buck.

Sea crest is better, I usually don’t do reviews but today I had to bcz I’m upset at the fact the oceanview request was not satisfied.I drove three hours for me to jst see Their other buildings basically. In that case I shld of booked somewhere else and save more if I ddnt want the ocean view.I stayed in north tower 1 Second floor room 4021. The booking said ocean view and to me all their resorts are far from an actual ocean. The map they give you at check in should be posted on their website So ppl hv a better idea where they’re going to be staying bcz it’s not OCEANFRONT/OCEANVIEW, they really make it seem like your room is ocean front but instead all their amenities are closer to the beach than your actual room

Room was clean, staff was great and very accommodating, we had a really nice time! The water park and glow in the dark mini golf was fun! Don’t let the bad reviews scare you away this place was awesome!

Positive: The only thing we enjoyed was how close to the beach it was Negative: Rooms were disgusting our room was not cleaned then they moved us to a room with hardly any view. Pool was disgusting elevators were malfunctioning staff in the hallways were rude. Front desk staff were nice.

Very clean place however parking fills up fast and you have to park across the street. The hotel also seems to have heavy moisture throughout the entire place, floors and walls constantly seem wet. Overall, nice place and would stay again.

Blood stains on the pillow, stains of what looked like urine on the bed sheets. Supposed to been a non smoking room but reaped of cigarette smoke. The floor was absolutely nasty. The Staff however was absolutely wonderful . This was my first trip to Myrtle beach and possibly my last.

Great place. The condo we rented is privately owned, so I cant speak to the actual resort rooms, but cant beat the location. Steps from the beach. Nice pool outside. Inside pool is smaller, and 2 hot tubs.

It was the off season so the place was dead. The restaurant/bar was closed. They do have a convenient store on site. The place it run down, horrible sounding elevators. Looks like stalactites and stalagmites in the swimming pool and hot tub. They dont supply you with any towels in the pool area but there was a hamper bin with some towels in it thats sat there the same way the four days I was there along with the pair of socks in the picture on the floor beside the pool. The drains were clogged in the shower.Just save the hassle and go somewhere else.

All I can say nicely, that this was the first and last visit. Nothing is as it seems. The small rooms were horrible with old appliances, beds and bathrooms. There were paintchipping everywhere and molding coming away from the walls. Only the front lobby was the cleanest

Booked this hotel through Expedia for a quick get away with my husband Thank goodness we didn’t bring our kids. Our room smelled of cigarettes and marijuana all day and night there were parties going on until 4 AM around us that kept us up..... Never again. & the rooms look nothing like the pictures!

A lot of activities and easy access to the beach! Mattresses were not to be desired. Found myself and wife rolling off the edge of the bed, no support on edge. Everything else was good!

The staff was horrible. Room service was too. Yes we were dealing with the covid situation. Our room wasn’t vacuumed and we still had sand on our bed I’m guessing from the last guest. Trust I could go on about that. The pic looked nothing like our standard room. Place smelled like straight up weed I’m talking loud. My kids asked me what that smell was every time we left and entered our room. We complain and they act liked we was smoking ha what a joke. Only thing worth enjoying was the beach, the view, and the kids enjoyed the water park.

Stay was with Sand Dunes Tower Suites and Villas, we left a night early because our room smelled so horrible- cigarette smoke attempted to be covered up by something else. Called front desk twice, all they did was spray something attempting to cover it up, but that just make it worse! They did nothing to accommodate. The cockroach in the elevator didn’t help either. The building needs some maintenance, but pools and water park both nice. Location good, building was not. Wouldn’t stay here again or recommend.

Rented a privately owned condo at this resort through Elliott Beach Rentals. The condo was pretty nice, what we expected. Could have been cleaner. Good location and on the beach. My experience with Elliott was great, the resort staff customer service was terrible.

Amazing resort! Perfect for families, even with little kids. Restaurants are a bit pricy for the mediocre food and the drinks are absolutely outrageous. Fortunately there are many restaurants and ABC stores near by. Ill definitely be going again.

This is an excellent Resort if youre planning a vacation to Myrtle Beach. I stayed in a 3 bedroom suite with a beautiful Oceanfront view of the Beach.Our suite offered a full kitchen, dining room and living room. It was very clean and the Staff was very nice.The price was very reasonable. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a Great place to stay for a vacation. My next Vacation to Myrtle Beach will include the the Sand Dunes Resort as my place to stay.

Since the purpose of our mini vacation was just to lounge between the beach and the pool the Resort met our needs but the room cleanliness lacked GREATLY. There were no wash cloths or hand towels in the room. Only 1 roll of TP. The beds were hard but the pillows were awesome. The TV didnt work and the AC never kept the room cool. We had to keep the drapes closed in order to keep it cool enough to sleep at night. Beds are listed as double queen but they were NOT!Drinks and food on property were good and the price point is what you would expect. I loved that they had a convenience store onsite. It came in handy.The pools and water park were fun. Geared more towards smaller kids but still fun.The arcade was a waste of time and definitely needs to be upgraded. The blacklight golf was fun and a lot harder than youd think.

We could of stayed anywhere for this price and had better experience. The front desk staff was very rude towards women but not men. The supervisor said hes just having a bad day Our room was on the otherwise of the property, when asked family with children, do you try to accommodate them with rooms closer to the attractions, notwith your room.We had two rooms, bit was never told that second room was ours. We dont go up.to strange doors, just to see if it opens . So I paid for a room that I never used. Front desk played us for fools asked to speak to a supervisor and another front desk personActed like a supervisor when yesterday he forgot he spoke to us, regarding g the lack of accomations we asked for 3 times for. (He was not a supervisor)So they got quiet when caught. Nobody fromhotel tried to reach out yet . The lack of respect for women was disturbing and allowed .

Pretty much dirty everywhere you look. Property is very convenient as far as location is concerned.

Booked. Asked if pools were open. They said yes open today. drive 12 hours they are not open. The hotel is short of ghetto. Rooms look nothing like pictures. I specifically asked are we dirrectly on the beach. Was told yes. No we are a short walk away. My vacation is quickly ruined. 1100$ for a hotel room that looks like slum apartments.

Water park is nice, it has beach in front, but the room was terrible and some places look old and dirty.

It was the worst vacation in recent years. The room was not cleaned, the floor and the toilet were dirty, we told the reception about this and they say that the cleaner would come when he could, so I had to go to the store for cleaning products and wash the room myself. The cleaner did not come until the next morning. In the pool, my 4 year old son told me: Mom, the water here is somehow strange, not transparent, and it was really so. Terrible service for that kind of money!

Positive: Location was great. Negative: Beds need replacing. Door didnt close properly.

Resort is a tad above average! There are some wear and tear with this property. Other then that wonderful lodging experience. Right on the water, several resteraunts, game rooms, private beach with lifeguard, 5 pools.
