We stayed in villa 5 and it was really nice. The view out on the porch is incredible. The beds were very comfortable and very clean. Parking was easy and very nice community pool. Close to everything we wanted to do and eat. Things do close a little earlier in the keys so check times for dinner and attractions as you do your planning.
Coral Lagoon is always exceptional. Amazing time with the family. Our cottage had a light lamp out we didnt even notice and later staff came to inform us and replaced it within no time.
Beautiful canal single family homes and townhomes available for rental. Theres a first class marina with fuel and trailer storage.
Nice people centered around every thing you would need
Beautiful resort! How to return someday.
We liked the location since it was quiet, but had everything you need a short drive away. Wished there was an office. Needed to print some things. They offered to print the things I needed, but I would have had to wait an hour for it to be delivered.
Ducked in for the first time for some boating fun and some Keys relaxation and it was a fine time, here is why:* Priced right* On the water* Rocking chairs and balconies* Marina kitty* Kindly neighbors who share my love for John Denvers classic tune Country Roads* Boat parking in view of our veranda* Small, cozy, intimate* Close to Vaca Cut so you can hit the bay or the ocean, fast!* Lots of mullet and tarpon in the cut in front of our unit, extra points for that!* Walking distance to both the Island Grille and Sparkys! The best, for Capt. Peter, was that once you put the boat in in their marina, they take your trailer away and care for it until it is time to leave. That is a great service.Good stuff, see you there!Cabeza OUT!
Very nice and clean place to stay! For the average person, it is affordable if you share the cost with other couples. I definitely will be back.
Great accommodations. The villa was very nice 3 bedrooms upstairs with two full baths, washer and dryer. Downstairs had a half bath full kitchen and living room. Walk right out to get to your boat. Swimming pool was very clean with nice lounge chairs tables and umbrellas for shade. Will definitely come back again.
First of all, I would like to commend the manager for quickly responding and fixing the toilet seat and bringing us enough bath towels for each to have one. However, unit #5 was not as appeared on website. I did not walk around without shoes. The carpeted stairs were especially gross. Not only did the unit not look as if it had been painted in awhile but not cleaned well either. The furniture was faded and stained. I understand that the exterior of a place in this area must be difficult to keep fresh and clean but the inside was beyond disappointing. At this point we would have to give our experience here a negative rating .Not sure when the photos were taken for the site but for the price and the advertised accommodations we would not refer this to others. Thank you for your attention in this matter. I emailed this on April 7th and have yet to get any response. As a result, I am including this review with photos-click on below photos to see more.
Overall this place is great! Just be careful when picking a unit. We stayed in unit 3, booked through Hameaway and it was not very well cared for. We have also stayed in unit 17 and it was very nice. Facilities are fantastic though, especially if your unit comes with a boat slip.
A quiet place to relax and stay in the Marathon area. Almost perfect location to explore the keys from Islamorada to Key West.
Rented a three bedroom for a week. It was a fantastic week. Very nice pool, and grounds are very well kept. Was able to park my boat almost at the front door.
Great place have stayed many times - Not enough towels though. Never saw anyone, at reception to ask, all keyless entry etc., Wanted to extend one more night and couldnt due to the 2 day minimum stay criteria. - even though we had stayed 2 already. Nice, place comfortable. Pool furniture starting to look a little old...But over all still good.
Property is set in a stunning location however it wasn’t clean and badly maintained. Wouldn’t stay again
We enjoyed our stay, it was all we hoped for. If youre looking for a place to eat and drinks go to Sparkys. Servers were awesome.
All in all it was a pleasant stay in a home away from home furnished with everything you need.Entering the house the first time, it showed the need for a quick once over. This gave us a pile of dust bunnies and several dirty Lisol wipes we cleaned the banister with. The master bed and bath are spacious, the twin bedroom is ok, while the third room with the queen bed is very tight. It could help to position the bed differently. We loved everything else. The porch, the nice pool, and the location. The house, sitting by a canal, gave us the surprise of the day when we watched two dolphins swimming there while we had the first coffee of the morning on the porch. We strongly recommend a stay in this resort and are looking forward to spend another vacation there, soon.
Do not book with an individual owner! We had villa #4 booked and after initial confirmation from owner we never heard from her again. Comes down to checking into our room and we can’t reach her and she’s blocking our number. 2,000 dollars out the window and scrambling to find another hotel to stay. Not worth the hassle for this disaster. Use the rental company only!
My wife and I spent a week there it was nice
This place is awesome! The neighbors were very welcoming, friendly and warm. Some condos are owned and the owners are very friendly and considerate. We had a blast!
Just beautiful and a pleasant clean family oriented establishment. We recommend Coral Lagoon, very close to all beaches.
I want to say excellent for every aspect of this resort but unfortunately cannot. The property was amazing, (property number 5) everything one could wish for, amazing position on the waterfront. The problem was that the property just lacked a little bit of care. The floor wasn’t particularly clean, the sofa was very stained and the bedding was far from white. It was just a little tired. Having said this we had an amazing time, we would go back in a flash but a little care and attention is all that’s required.
The location, view and layout of the house we stayed in were all amazing. Cant give 5 stars because the cleaning ladies didnt start until an hour after check-in time so we had to wait around for awhile and the house wasnt cleaned thoroughly. Also the sheets and mattresses are old/cheap and have holes in them. But, because of the convenience of bringing a boat and the location, and the pool, we will be back!
Beautiful location. Beach less than 10 minutes away, wonderful pool to enjoy. Would definitely come back!
Weve been working in the keys for storm work and were renting multiple hotel rooms at a time. We found townhome 109 in Coral Lagoon and rented it out instead of multiple rooms which saved us quite a bit of money. The house was beautiful, very clean and had great views. Highly recommend
We had a great stay here in April! The house was very clean and neatly furnished. The location was great. Also the garden was very nice. Great stay for relaxing days at the keys!
Is a very nice place to stay, boat slip is very protected and facilities are handy. Pool is also nice and clean. I have no negative comments to post.
Great facility. Boat ramp on site, trailer storage on site, clean facility, fuel on site, and a nice pool. Not much more you could ask for from a Keys accommodation.
The villas are arranged nicely in a little neighborhood away from the main road, and the grounds are quaint and neat. Pool was clean and lit at night. My code on the door did not work when I arrived, but I called and they changed it for me right over the phone. On day 2 the oven door handle came off and I called and I guy was there in 10 minutes. It was 830 at night!I like staying somewhere that is well run ( not like some. Vrbo)
We stayed in a villa and it was very nice. I loved having a full kitchen. We went to truly relax and we found the place very comfortable. The pool area is very nice. We spent 2 days just hanging at the pool and we were all by ourselves. The canal is nice right out your door. Saw many fish and even a manatee.
The villa we rented was amazing, it has everything you need and provided us the opportunity to cook if we didnt want to eat out. The Publix was only 2-3 miles away and there was a Dunkin Donuts and IHOP the same distance. The villa is in a perfect location being in the middle of the Keys. The only downfall is the property management company that runs the resort. We tried to get ahold of them on the phone 2-3 times before arriving at the resort and never received a response back. This lead to having an issue checking in as we never received the information needed to gain access to the property. We almost had to switch resorts upon arrival because of the property management office, particularly Stacy, not returning our calls and providing us with the information needed to gain access to the resort. Hotels.coms relocation department was the only department that was able to assist us with our issues.
Peaceful
The place was great. It accommodated a group of 8 of us. The location is great, we were a short drive /walk away from nice beaches and had a great deck in the back and access to water and a dock for our boat. Would def recommend to everyone
Good Things:Beautiful place, houses are in great shape, clean and lot of fish details and decorations, pool is also clean.BAD THINGS:IF your plan is bring your boat, make sure you tell them and arrange the price, because you will end paying a lot just to park your boat and trailer. There is a guy called LARRY and his Manager SAM, They dont help at all and believe me those guys will ruin your vacation. I will NOT came back to this hotel ANYMORE..
Villa was beautiful and well maintained but like other reviewers we had trouble getting in. Two phone calls back to the uk and a 2 hour wait in a hot car park (this is not a hotel so there is no reception area) took the some of the shine off the stay especially as our checkin problems were solved by another company doing us a favour and contacting the owners. That said I would recommend coral lagoon just make sure you know your villa number and key code before you arrive.
Very nice, but thought I was going to be Beach side! Its my own fault.
Very nice layout and plenty of room. Pool area was a good size and lots of chairs, etc. Plenty of parking.
Not a bad place to stay for boating/ fishing in Marathon. Dockage right out front. Bring a hose for the wash down station as my unit (#23) did not have one. The house could have been a bit cleaner upon arrival and the sheets had seen better days. Otherwise it would have been five stars. Only about a five minute boat ride through some beautiful residential canals to Vaca Cut. Watch out for the Key Colony Beach police boat. Its all no wake/ 5 mph to Vaca. I got stopped with what I though was no wake and my GPS said 6 mph. No ticket though. Marina next door has ice and gas.
Great place to stay! Clean and comfortable all updated
Loved the place and location.
Wish we could of stayed longer. Just beautiful villa & grounds. Large private back deck with rockers & a large round table, ROOMY! An added plus was the balacony off the master bedroom with 2 rockers. Beautiful & relaxing.
Spacious and a nice Place. A bit pricey though for what you get. Has a Boat docking and easy access to the Atlantic as well to the Gulf of Mexico that is if youre interested in boating. Not everthing in the Rental is up to par and there is no Office with Staff but its a great accommodation when traveling with extended Family or Friends.
Rooms were nice. Seems to be a disconnect between the office and the maid service. Paying a cleaning deposit and the other fees makes this a bit expensive.
Modern place with granite tops- just like the pics show. Pool is nice- almost had it to ourselves on Labor Day weekend. bring tp, garbage bags & paper towel if u stay for a while. 3 decent sized bedrooms & much more LR space than we had at hawks caye. We plan to go back soon! There is no staff since it is a condo resort.
Very nice place, easy to check in newly renovated and a comfortable stay.
When staying at an establishment that requires the guests to do their own cleaning while also paying a cleaning fee, I am always a bit weary that the last person actually cleaned them. Who is to say they used soap and not just water on the dishes or towels? I felt a bit uneasy using these things while I stayed at Coral Lagoon. The house wasnt very clean, the TV and cable didnt work. We had to buy batteries for the remote. We just expected more. At the very least we expect to sleep somewhere that is clean.
The house was great. No household supplies were provides, so make sure you bring everything you need. The cleaning people decided to take a break, and never came back. My family and I came into a house with dirty floors, dirty laundry, and no clean sheets. The cleaning fee was refunded, but not the 4-5 hours we werent able to spend in the house. For the price, i will not go back; and would advise others to stay some where else.
Looking for a place n Keys? Highly recommended. Quiet. Great location. Most of the folks we met are regulars here. We plan to be as well.
What an absolute beauty. Had a small group of friends stay for an extended weekend and couldnt have had a better time.
AC didnt work upon arrival, contacted Expedia man came out ASAP
Nice location, nice accommodations. Unsure what the extra cleaning cost is for, as we are required to wash the towels and bedding before we leave and the bathroom required cleaning when we arrived.
Beautiful place to stay! Very nice accommodations, beautiful grounds and water access. What more could you want?
Good Things:Beautiful place, houses are in great shape, clean and lot of fish details and decorations, pool is also clean.BAD THINGS:IF your plan is bring your boat, make sure you tell them and arrange the price, because you will end paying a lot just to park your boat and trailer. Nice clean quiet rentsls
Lovely villa. It would be nice if they had a front desk and on-site staff. But overall nice experience.
We will return, its a great place!
Great location in marathon. Close to Sombrero beach and restaurants. Rooms were nice, and pool was clean.
Great villa rental. The daily housekeeping cost extra, but we didnt need it. Very clean and fun
Husband and two nephews down in the Keys for a long weekend. Fabulous accommodations. Highly recommend for couples or families.
Great place to visit, beautiful scenery. Well maintained and great pool
The location is beautiful and very clean. Will definitely be coming back.
This property is not a hotel by any means, it is a used condo for re-rent. Trying to get staff is leaving messages and waiting for a keys person who is on island time to get back to you. I would never rent from this place again. Yes, its got boat access and the size is ok, but the price is expensive and the service is non existent. Next time i will pay the higher price and go to Hawks cay, where at least you get service with your old run down condo. I guess its the keys...
Service was good, albeit there arent too many amenities, still an awesome stay for fishing.
The positive comments I have are that we liked the Villa itself and the location of the resort. It was easy to maneuver our 24 ft. boat in/out and close to the ocean. However, we were unpleasantly surprised when we arrived at 6pm with our boat in tow only to find the boat ramp locked! There was no one on site to help us, but I was given the managers phone number when I made the reservation. When I called him, he not only seemed surprised that I had his number, but also informed us that the boat ramp closes at 5pm. He directed us to a public boat ramp a mile up the road. This of course, was not mentioned when I made the reservation. Other things that were not mentioned were that it costs $10/day to store your boat trailer on-site, and $5 each to launch and remove your boat. (this is in addition the the $40/day that we paid for a boat slip). We were very disappointed with the staff at the marina, in particular, Larry. He treated us like we were not welcome and did not belong. He was rude and disrespectful, and because of him, we will not be back to this resort. We spoke with the manager on our departure, and he informed us that the marina is not directly connected to the resort. I went back and read the info. on the website, and nowhere does it give the impression the marina is separate from the resort. In fact, the website boasts about having a marina and how they are available to meet your needs.I will say that our boat needed a part and we had a mechanic come work on it at the marina while it was on the trailer, and they allowed this without too much fuss. Luckily it was a rainy day and not many people around. I imagine they would have made us move the boat elsewhere had it been a busy day.Other things to know before deciding to choose this resort:there is no fishing from dock.there is no outside grilling allowed.there is no swimming in canal.there is no cleaning of fish anywhere but at marina.Pool closes at sunset. There are a lot of rules...
Very nice and laid back staff, clean rooms, beautiful views
Beautiful villas with your own dock. Clean with many extras
Stayed here and went to boat races at Key West. Had great time. Loved the place!
When I called I was on hold for 15 plus minutes and finally hung up. I called again later in the day and someone answered that I couldn’t understand. He said he had a cold and said I should call back to talk with someone else instead of transferring me. I decided this company was a bad choice.
Great location and beautiful condo. I do wish Id known the Marina was under repair and closed when I booked.
Beautiful well appointed condo that was the perfect place for a family vacation.
My impression after the first hour: Im extremely disappointed theres no staff onsite. So theres no one to check you in. Rather, they called us and gave us a house number and a security code to get the key card in order to enter the house, but we left those instructions at home. So when we arrived, we had no idea where to go and no one to help us. A woman checking the voicemail on the main number, was able to help me at 10pm at night... if she hadnt checked it, I wouldve been sleeping in my car. Absolutely unacceptable! Especially for a 4 star establishment. Moreover, the couches smell like dog piss. With no staff onsite, how would they ever know whether people are bringing their pets? We found this place via Travelocity for $160 per night.. I spose its worth that. But Id hesitate to pay the $300 rates they want to book directly. Overall, Id say keep searching for another business thats better deserving of your money.
Very nice rooms and living space. Bed frame was very squeaky though.
Beautiful property with non existent managementsmall problems became big due to no response
Love it it have stairs
Great location, comfortable rooms.
Staying in unit 14 and its great. Clean and tons of room!
Loved this place..
