We went on a tour of mystery spots across the midwest and found this place. They opened about ten minutes after the posted opening time, thats fine stuff happens. After the employee removed the door to let us in, yes the door must have been kicked in or something since it had no hinges. The worker that opened started yelling and having a meltdown, she leave us alone for five to ten minutes in the store. The place was trashed and junk everywhere, and not the charming kind. There is only an inflatable pillow room and a rotating tunnel. Was a bit confused on where to go after the tunnel since its just techno music and black walls with spinning lights. Piles of junk from a drug addled mind thrown everywhere. Its not even serial killer charming, its just bad. There is nothing else there The Marvelous Mystery is how they stay in business since they dont even sell stickers or t-shirts with the logo it. We wanted to spend money there but they make it pretty hard. They have t-shirts of local famous people badly drawn but im from Indiana so... They do have a force perspective room but unfortunately they shove a giant sign in there that ruins the effect. So they dont even understand the basics of how the attractions work. I did happen to get a GOATMAN t-shirt they make from the thrift store next door. I have been to a few mystery spot type places and this one was the worst. The pictures online are nothing like being there.

Very sick of the local media and others promoting this clown when time after time he has screwed over the community, his employees and himself. Just back in December there were several glowing articles written about this place by each local media outlet, despite all of his past issues. Now guess what? This place is also CLOSED and the store is trashed. Will Russell (the owner) is also in jail for criminal littering, criminal trespassing and wanton endangerment of a police officer after being evicted from the store. Pouring out some type of dangerous chemicals behind the building? Gee, wonder what he had in mind? He told the judge he needs more water and sunshine. Poor guy. I am sure his apologists friends will keep making excuses for him, poor guy is mentally ill but a genius, etc. Yeah lets give this guy more money to open yet another damn store. This town really needs to get a grip and join the world of reality instead of the fantasy world people like Will Russell live in. Next!!!

I like weird places like this. So I had to check it out. It’s free to go in and check out some of the cool side show items they have. I would suggest buying a T-shirt. They have a good selection, I bought a really cool Muhammad Ali one. According to their google hours it says they’re closed Monday-Wednesday. But if you call them their machine says they’re open every day. I went there on a Wednesday and it was open. So just a heads up if anyone is planning a visit here.

This place is bursting with uniqueness and character - from the nifty little trinkets for sale and the funhouse attractions you can walk through and play to the fun and enthusiastic staff, this is one of those rare gems in Louisville that transforms the entire concept of a shop into an experience. The owners passion and dedication shows in flying colors - keep up the great work, Will!

It was a nice. Only one person in third with friendly staff. It’s small though. Unless your looking for a Kentucky T shirt or one or two small items nothings really there. The T shirts are clever!

Stopped in today for the first time and what an interesting place! Theyve got something for all ages! Little ones will really love the play area upstairs!!

What a cool little shop! Really neat stuff and friendly staff. Ill be back.

My favorite place in Louisville! Been a fan of this shop since 2015, Theyve got a little bit of everything, but their shirt selection is top notch.

This place is straight up magic, just go - you will leave with a massive grin on your face.
