This place was utterly amazing. The staff was so friendly, and our tour guide (Logan) was so knowledgeable and kept the audience engaged the entire tour. The taste testing part of the tour was phenomenal as this establishment not only showcases its famous Nulu Labeled Bourbon, but also its in-house tequila, rum, and vodka! The experience was unforgettable. If you are traveling to Louisville, and looking for a place to learn some history, meet some great staff, and try some amazing spirits, GO to Prohibition Craft Spirits Bar + Tours; you will NOT be disappointed.
If you’re looking for a tour that’s more personable and not one of the “big guys” this place is it. Super friendly and full of knowledge.Seriously the nicest people and the samples were amazing! Ended up taking a few bottles home. The Nulu 92 is my favorite.
I have been on all the Bourbon Trail and Craft Trail tours. I will say there are some unique experiences I have not seen on the other tours. But overall this is lackluster. My favorite 3 things; location, this was a prominent location during the Louisville flood and they highlight on their first panel of information, second they offer what the distillers first still was which is unique and third they do a sensory challenge near the end. Other than that it seemed forced and there is no real backstory or history to it. The inside was just a maze of moveable panels, which what appeared to be reclaimed Terex decking throughout the area. I would possibly recommend eating next door and then doing a flight to see what you think of it. I was not a fan of their spirits and their bourbon was ok for the price. Its definitely a younger distillery with no real history or heritage. Would I visit to mark it off the list, yes, would I go back thats TBD.
What a cool spot! We enjoyed a mint julep at the bar before Brittney gave us our tour. This place does it all! Bourbon, rum, vodka, gin! You name it, they make it. Stop in, you won’t regret it!!
I did the bar, not the tour. The house bourbon was well priced. Fun atmosphere
We did a tour, Ill admit, I was not sure how it was going to go. HOWEVER, We had a great time. We learned so much and a great tasting at the end. Brittany was the best. The dark rum was my fav!! Make sure to guest the secret ingredient when you go.
We did the tour which I HIGHLY recommend. Very informative and very interesting. You get to great look back to the prohibition era and pretty much do a tour of a mini-museum. In addition, you get to tour their distillery as well. Oh, and then you get to do taste testing at the end which is always a great way to end a tour. Our tour guide was fantastic as well!!
We loved Logan and our tour guide! Such a good time!
This was a very cool bar. We had never been there previously, but we very impressed by the drink selection. They even make cocktails the old fashion way with egg whites. My amaretto sour was delicious and the prices were very fair. Everything was very clean and we all enjoyed ourselves.
Great little bar with very engaging Bartenders your not just a customer your a guest. Loved my Nulu Bourbon old fashion
A fantastic tour, superb craft spirits, a great bar and top tier service! The bourbon and bourbon barrel-aged tequilas are AMAZING!
Welcome to the days of Al Capone and Bugsy Siegal. This cute little craft distillery should be a quick stop on your list of things to do while in the Louisville area. Book a short tour, and arrive early to catch a drink at the bar next door before your tour. Check in with Devin, hell be your bartender while you wait for your tour. His suggestions will be good ones, just let him know what type of drink you like. When the tour is ready, Logan will take you backstage and give you a short tour, via photos, of how this whole situation started in this area, through prohibition, and into today. You will get a short look into whats brewing today. They just started their bourbon and will be ready in a couple of years. At the end, stay for a tasting of their 2 tequilas, Vodka, and Gin. Youll be glad you did.Personal Thank you to Devin and Logan for a fun couple of hours during our trip to Louisville. Bottles of all of their brews are available to purchase.
THERE IS NO ATMOSPHERE!!! No music, bright lights and a weird vibe. The bartenders are nice but a bit weird. Drinks reasonably priced but they need some music, dimmed lights and beer on tap.
Great service. Wide variety of micro distilled spirits. Good stuff.
The staff is very welcoming, drinks are well priced, the events they do and the karaoke are always a good time as well.
Friendly staff. The bar staff was super friendly and the ring toss was a losing battle, but worth the price.
Great burgers and cocktails!
This place is great! A very homey welcoming bar with an amazing atmosphere. Low key fun
Fantastic tour from a craft distillery. Lots of history presented and our tour was given by the Master Distiller! Well worth the time. Also, the product is wonderful.
Tonight was very lively it was a pirate jamboreeLouis the local guy and his wifes bday bash music is great the party is still going on until 4 am its about to get really lit 6 dollar standered to get in at a pirate party but then the special VIP package is going to be 10 but if your going to do it right go with a VIP treatment
The bartenders were amazing. Explained what the distillery makes. The prices are outstanding
Great bartenders and the rum & meatballs were A+
Randomly stopped in not knowing it was a distillery. Staff that wasn’t even on shift was happy to talk in detail about the spirts brewed at the establishment. The vodka had zero burn and great flavor, and I am not a gin drinker but enjoyed their gin on the rocks. I’m looking forward to heading back sometime and taking a tour.
Beautiful space... music made the mood right... drinks flow freely... staff is excellent
Was a good first time experience
Super neat place with fairly priced drinks. Brian/Bryan, the bartender, enlightened the mood and created a fun atmosphere.
Great comedy show and atmosphere of venue. Drinks were a little pricey however.
We participated in the tour, it was fun and informative, the hostess was engaging and made the experience better!
Great bar and service. Nice scenerie
This place is now called Prohibition. About 5 security guards out from on the Saturday that my girlfriend and I visited. $10 for men, women free of course. Security pat down out front. Wouldn’t allow entry with a pocket knife. After paying cover, venue was lame and empty at 10:30 on a Saturday. Avoid.
Wish they had food but its a nice place they had a great band it was fun. Look forward to hearing more bands there.
Huge disappointment. Promoted a show, then apparently cancelled it days before, and never let the public know it was cancelled!! Got there with some friends, and the music hall was dark & closed. People wandering the sidewalk, asking each other what was going on. This location has been a revolving door of establishments. Looks like this will be yet another casualty.
Great place to be. Awesome atmosphere. Great live bands.
Great laid back spot for a drink, great bartender
Great place. Bartenders are very personable and knowledgeable. The house distilled spirits are top shelf quality. I will return.
Great staff
