Cozy public park. Maybe a square mile at most. Contains 2-3 wooded trails, a paved path, tennis courts, clearings, fields and a surprisingly vibrant deer population. I enjoy going to the nature reserve, hiking, sitting in the garden. It is a nice retreat from everyday city noise if you dont have time to leave town.
Great park for running. Took off from the top. I probably should have looked at the trail map before taking off. I made several wrong turns. Ended up on a busy boulevard. But luckily I was able to find the trail and made it back to my car.Super hilly in spots. It was sunny and 65 degrees while I ran. Didnt see all of the park due to my detour. But still a great run
Huge park. Nice trails. Big open spaces.
Tennis is awesome here, excellent walking path too! Running and a loop available. Next to the nature center!
I love this park! It is spacious and near the Louisville Zoo. We have taken pictures here and enjoyed long walks. What a cool spot.
Very nice and big park, it is a great scenery and tough route for running and training. There are very cool places to take amazing pictures.
Great place for kids, big playground area. Also a long walking trail, 1.5 miles, and easy to add to it by changing your route and repeating certain portions. Also a lot of elevation Chang for such a short loop. Plenty of flat areas to do whatever.
The nature preserve hiking trails were great.
Nice walking path part of it is on the road within the park but still nice. A good portion of it is shady
Wish there were porta potties scattered around park.Like there where the recycling thing is behind the mansion looking building. The bathrooms are kinda far from parking.
It was a fun and relaxing place to chill or take a jog
The park is very very good its got a large house on the property and honest I dont know who lived there before but they turned it into a business the park is very very large its hilly but its kept up well trails are clearly marked theyre pretty much paved roads are plenty of places to sit theres a directions which way to go theres plenty of people there is close to a hospital in case you something goes wrong but you needed emergency I like to see the parts here in Louisville is probably its hard to do a bit but I like to see some type of lighting in it besides Lighting in the parking lot give me some more picnic tables out there like that but Joe Gleason Park is really well lit its its right next to the government University and its theres plenty of them space walk and do things in the park
Always nice to take in the view as one rides the edge. This time rode to the top - parks department has good looking digs from outside
Good walking path, nice and relaxing. Really puts you in touch with the important things in life. Great place to walk, rain, shine, snow, wind, whatever the weather. The first picture is looking from the bench towards the house, the second is from the same bench looking towards Trevillian Way, the third picture is looking southeast on Trevillian Way from the bench behind the tennis courts, and the fourth picture is looking directly at the zoo entrance from the same bench.
So beautiful, not too busy. Will definitely go back.
They have a free timed 5k every Saturday at 9am. Group that sets it up is called Parkrun. Its an awesome way to see your progress in running or walking. Highly recommend it.
Joe Creason park is one of my favorite parks. After we play on the playground we go for a walk on the wonderful paths. Also connected to the nature center which has good little wooded paths for the kiddos!
Thank you for hosting Kentucky Shakespeare in the Parking Lot - Macbeth..
This is a great park for toddler/preschool bday party. The kids love to play on the tree stumps and there are so many swings and play areas. The shade is plentiful and there are bathrooms nearby that are clean. Parking is plentiful. Lots of nice picnic tables. If you want you can rent the gazebo pavilion, but not necessary for a party of 20ish.
Nice wooded hiking trails
Clean park and picnic areas. convenient to Louisville zoo
A family relaxing place
Been taking my family to this park for years now. We all love the trails and recreational areas for other activities! Plus they have the perfect kite flying field!
My fav walking path and the deer like it too!
Really quiet and pretty, but dont go alone. People live in the woods there. Theyre never bothered me, but safety first.
Quiet. Nice and Peaceful.I wish they have like food stand or food store for snacks. Me and my husband took our kids there and they loved it.
Beautiful place to walk and photograph~
Nice walking trail
Such a great park! Clean and wide open. The playground is located by the picnic area. Walking trails are well kept. Perfect place to bring the family for a picnic
Great hiking trails. Great walking paths. Playground is in good shape. Whats not to like?
Great park to walk and jog
Good views
Nice park to go walking or jogging. Can get crowded though so if you want peace and quiet maybe not the place to go.
Great place to sled, just needed more snow!
Will have to go back. So many things to do and see. Nice jungle Jim play area.
Great place.for walking, running, riding a bike, or for kids to play. Two playgrounds, one for little kids and one for bigger kids. Good hills if you ready to work it and boost the backside. Connect to some good trails at Louisville nature center. In the early morning can view deer and a pair of great gorned owls.
Beautiful park. The fields were getting reseeded, so I couldnt run on them. No worries, the hills are just as hilly on the sidewalks, haha. The facilities were clean. Parking is limited, but be ready to walk if its a nice day.
Love this place! Nice trail and an excellent tennis facility with outstanding clay courts open to the public (seasona usel for a fee). It was on the pro tour back in the 70s, so lots of great stories.
Love this park. Peaceful, love the walking trail and area for picnic and playground
The kiddos had a blast, cleaning crew showed up while we were there, they assured us we were fine and continued to clean the park around us...very clean before and extremely clean when they were finished.
Beautiful park on the water in Louisville. Pretty quiet as well.
Our favorite park! Kids love it! Great for walks and biking.

Quaint little park near the zoo. Plenty of playground equipment for children. Open spaces for other events. Walking trails available. Parking a bit odd but acceptable. Lots of shade on a Sunny day.

Secret gem of a place. Lots to explore.
Clean and nice to run/jog at
A highly underrated Louisville park with a really nice paved mile long running loop.
Joe Creason is a great park with a nature trail and paved walking trails. Located near the park are the Olmsted Conservancy, a tennis compound, a recycling drop off point and the Louisville Nature Center.
Very nice, well kept park.
I love this park! Its across from the zoo and when its lunch time, instead of spending a fortune on food at the zoo, we take our picnic lunch I pack at home and take it to the park. We eat, the kids play, then right back over to the zoo. Or, once we are finished at the zoo, its a great place to go and let the kids finish running out their energy.
Great hiking trails and wildlife, also clean outdoor park for kids and walking paths.
This is a nice park. They have redone and updated since I was a child. They have two sets. They eat each a bit different. Id you have a clumber there are several things for your child to do. I also like all the slide options they have in length for all different ages. They have lots of swings and so there are plenty for everyone. I love the gazebo they have for parties. It makes for a very convenient and enjoyable time. There were and are lots of memories had at this park. The walking track is nice as well. We have walked run and walked dogs and kids. All have enjoyed it. Its got hills and scenery. It will keep kids occupied and i found it to be the perfect scavenger hunt trail and science class learning about all that is around you.
Nice park I didnt know about. Looked to be maintained well.
Nice walking park ..take the dog
One of many good parks, lots of area for the kids to play...... and its located very close to the Louisville Zoo..
So many trees. So many paths. So many tracts of land. Its a park! And a big one.
Nice paved walks and grassey wooded views
Great walking loop and challenging hills!

We went here to gather hedge apples. We found some really big ones. All the wooly worms made my son really excited to explore. Its very clean!

As one would expect with the Parks Department headquarters on site, this park is very well maintained and offers something for everyone. There are several unique features that are fun to discover on your own. A much-needed parking lot was recently paved.
