Absolutely love this greenbelt. If you enjoy nature and wildlife in city with a off beat in the woods feeling then this is your place. Several trails that lead you all over the place. Along the creek and through the woods. I dont recommend being here after dark though that would be a bit scary if you know what I mean. During the day. Simply beautiful and peaceful. Very friendly people also. And some off the trees here are so old they are HUGE!!!!
Really nice public park with tons of nice paved trails. Lots of nice views all over, pretty little wooded areas with streams and lots of ducks and other wildlife. Lots of signs of beaver activity, but no beavers spotted on our trek. Highly recommended for a nice walk or ride if you prefer flatter, paved trails. Use caution if walking, many bicyclists blew by without announcing their presence and the unpredictable 4 year old that was with us wasnt always fast enough to get out of the way. Could use another set of toilets somewhere, but otherwise highly recommended.
Twas a nice pasture with a wonderous little lake. I asked a fellow runner How doth thou fare?.He replied with a smile Tis a day full of good feelings, how art thou?. Very nice place to spend time with your kin!
Amazing open space all around!! Fantastic to have all of this open space so close to Denver!! Amazing wildlife and endless trails. 2 lakes and a river in a span of what seems to be about a block.
Great place for an easy walk. Lakes, the creek. Wide open. Nice urban park.
My favorite nature trail in the area. Its soooo beautiful!
One of my favorite west side suburban greenbelt corridors. Walked from Stone House, meandered around a couple of ponds, up to almost Wadsworth, crossed over Bear Creek and walked along the creek path back to the Stone House parking lot. The concrete trail is great for cyclists, as well.
Beautiful day for a 30-mile bike ride to Morrison.
To be told its private property and I cant walk across the parking lot is not legal and will be pressing charges if I get harassed again. 1050 am
The park is great, but very few people wear masks...
Such a beautiful gem in our city
So enjoyable. Clean and nice trails, horses allowed also!
Terrific multi-purpose path which extends from Morrison to the Platte River. The path winds through shaded areas and in the west, open rolling hills. Very popular with bicycle riders and pedestrians. Several areas have prarie dog towns adjacent to the path. There are several restaurants in Morrison and along the Platte River where a rider can get a drink or meal.
Awesome walk, and great for Pokemon. You can even bring a horse. These lakes are fishing friendly and have a nice array of fish. The paths lead you on a wonderful walk through Lakewood and Denver. So enjoy the views, plus there wasnt much homeless to be seen and the park was very clean
Nice place for a short walk. Limited parking area.
One of the best places to go during corona to hang out :)) and its free so thats pretty cool
Beautiful place to walk and enjoy the wildlife. Love the dog park nearby as well! There is something magical about being in nature especially when everything is so green. The views are amazing as well! Great place to stroll. Its always great to be I the city and feel like youre not. Watch for deer, bears and other animals.
Trash and a lot of random sketchy people but great to run and take a little dip in the stream
Great shady place to walk the dog.
Good day with not too many people.
Nice trail system for dog walks and bike rides.
So pretty, a lot to explore. Many places to sit, amazing lake views. Cant wait to see it during the summer
This is one of my favorite parks to walk my dogs on leash, there are waste bag stations and many trash cans that are within reach here. A lot of ground to cover. All of the trails in any direction give a different view, a different scent for the dogs to follow, a different level of exercise. Ive also seen ducks, owls, hawks, fish, turtles, you name it!I always recommend this park for meeting friends with their dogs, or suggesting to people that may be bored of the same walk around the same lake on the same path, like some of the parks closer to home.A few areas deeper into the woods are my favorite trails for shade and little hills for exercise, but I wont go into some alone if I see people camped out, which doesnt happen all too often.Watch out for some of the prairie dog burrows closer to the West part of the trail, but otherwise clean and well kept park!
It is such a blessing to have this park in the middle of the city! My favorite quick little get away:)
Nice walk. Only 10000 steps between wadswoth to stone house round trip
I LOVE walking this area and being out in nature! As I stated on Facebook, it is being out in nature yet within. Wonderful trail along the creek, and I have taken many photos!
The trails are well kept and quiet.
Love this old Greenbelt area. A large area to walk and observe nature
Love taking my mutt for walks along the creek!
Great fishing in the back pond.
Beautiful even in the evening!
These lakes are fishing friendly and have a nice array of fish. The paths lead you on a wonderful walk through Lakewood and Denver.
Great trail for biking, along the creek
Always clean and well maintained, all the users (myself included) seem to care about it which is sometimes hard to find in the metro. Past Sheridan to the east can be a little seedy with people passed out and camps/trash but just keep on keepin on lol
This is a wonderful spot to ride your bike in the summertime or to go for a walk or go birdwatching. When the water is flowing the creek is a nice place to fish as well. There are many wild creatures that make use of this area. Many large trees provides habitat and a wonderful shady relief from the hot Colorado sun. The trail goes west past Kipling Parkway and ends at the Fox Hollow golf course.
Beautiful park! Lots of wildlife, we saw beaver dams, hawks and several owls.
Plenty of parking. Trails were well maintained but there was lots of fishing line and hooks all around the pond and trails where the gravel path got close to the pond. The trails are fairly close to the pond in some areas and because of this I would not bring my dogs to this park for fear of them stepping on a rusty hook. I wouldnt say this is a parks maintenance issue but people just being lazy and not leaving the park the way they left it.
Nice and easy. Nice creek running through
Beautiful walk this evening.
Bear Creek Greenbelt is a beautiful and accessible place for walking, biking, and horse back riding. I see tons of gorgeous plant and animal life there. Particularly, you see a lot of water birds. I recommend for daily exercise!
Great place for dog walking, prairie dog viewing, bird watching and bike riding.
Pleasant concrete pathway giving access to nature in the city.
I love walking here all the time. You can walk around the ponds and if you dont want to tread on gravel, there are sidewalks to enjoy too
Thus is a beautiful section of nature in the heart of a large urban area. With hiking and running trails, bike paths, shelters with picnic tables, and ample recycling and trash receptacles, the Bear Creek Greenbelt offers taueus and visitors a peaceful break from city (or suburban) life. Nearby traffic can still be heard, but this is a nice area for a stroll, ride, or dog walk (just remember to pick up your pets mess and dispose of it properly--something locals insist upon).
Love my morning weekly walks here its an oasis in a dry climate.
Really nice trail with lots of access points. This trail connects to lots of other trails which will take you anywhere from Morrison to Mile High Stadium. It can get a little heavy with cyclists, but most of them are courteous.
Wilderness setting in an urban area. Super close. Gravel path side for dogs and walking, paved side for bikers, etc. Very peaceful.
We just moved to this area of the city and we took a walk on Mothers Day and found it was not crowded and beautiful! Very happy to find such a lovely spot not over-run with rude people. Cyclist were courteous. It is pet friendly which is great! There were some rude people standing on the beaver dam for pics. Obviously not Natives! If they were, shame on them. Anyway, definitely recommend if you are in the Bear Creak area and looking for a lovely, peaceful stroll!
Love this place! Its a great place to bring your family and pup! The river is fun and there are concrete and dirt trails. Makes you feel like you are in the woods in the middle of the city
Nice park. Great for walks and has a good childrens area. Easy to get to.
The greenbelt and paved trail here are amazing for it being right in the heart of suburbia-- we have seen 2 gobblers, not just hen turkeys, multiple deer and lots of other wildlife!
Peaceful and quiet great views great place to walk dogs.
Such a cool park to run, walk your dog, hang out by the creek, bike, sit and admire the ponds or admire the prairie dogs and other wildlife around. Very cool park for families too!
Beautiful! Not too crowded or cold for a nice walk
Huge open space with biking and hiking trails, bridges, ponds, thick trees.Fishing is terrible though ;)
Great area to walk and explore. Lots of trails, beautiful scenery and creek, but no bears. You should be able to emerge from your walk with all limbs intact.
Might be my most favorite place in west Denver. To feel out of the city while right in town. The trail connects for. Miles and miles!
It was my first time to visit in this place. Walking along the water together with my family. Great place to bonding with. The trees were full of leaves fall in down. Nice one.
This place is so beautiful. When you hit the trail, you feel like youre in a rural area. Lakewood has done a wonderful job developing and maintaining this greenbelt.
Shady dirt trails around two pinds
A magical open space in busy south lakewood. Come, for a breath of fresh air by the creek and find hidden places to hust sit and contemplate life.
Its a nice place to take walks and stuff
Absolutely beautiful ️
Nice place for just a walk, along or with your dog. There are bathrooms and places to sit and the Stone House.
Nice open space. Great for short walks and biking.Small fishing lake.
I love this place have lived next to it for almost ten years and just gets better love to walk and see all the happenings with the animals and the walking trails so it is definitely a must every day and more than once when its like it is now have a great day
Great place for a walk inside of town. Its easy to do two or three miles, and the dogs love it too
A great ride
I love to see the Flora and fauna on this fine greenbelt but be careful going around corners
It would be a lot nicer to walk the Trail, if people would pick up after their Dog.
So peaceful, people do a wonderful keeping this park clean, and the nature trail is BEAUTIFUL!
Ive walked this path for years and I love it! There are nature paths, and sidewalk paths, there are charcoal BBQs and pavilions with picnic benches. Plus its beautiful, and clean. What more can you ask for?
Great for all around activities
Living next to the Bear Creek Greenbelt and the Stone House Park in Lakewood is a real Joy. Deer, owls, red tail hawks are just a few of the wildlife that we see. The trails are great and park is well maintained and the sunrises and sunsets are great to see. The only addition I would love to see is a dog part for all the dogs that visit on a daily basis at the park.
Nice place to run, walk your dog ride your bike take pictures! And just to get fresh air! I encourage you guys to go to this trail! And its right by my school I graduated from Bearcreek highschool class of 2019!
Awesome..but VERY busy..dogs..runners..lots of bikes. Beautiful area
Good walk, but the shakes can be startling.
Not a typical park with lots of grass, this is a true natural park next to the creek. Highly recommend you spend a few hours here. Good for your soul.
Love this spot, plenty of trails to explore and big enough to feel like youre out of the city. Very dog friendly and a great spot for families.
A good spot for a nice and quite walk.
I love this trail. Its always clean and well kept. The users are generally courteous. Its very busy, especially in warmer weather so be cautious of cyclists. There is a dirt horse trail that runs parallel in places that is usually less busy and great for dogs.
Beautiful
Awesome place to walk near Bear Creek! Lots of tranquil spots to watch the creek & just relax.
