Nice place to walk. But not alone. I havnt had problems. But people do end up close to u.. Playground. Playable. Ducks swimming. Nice relaxing place

Been seeing this park for years now... 1st time i came tho... Not a bad park. Great kids play area. Nice trails... The lake needs some work too many water plants to actually get to lake.. Dog could get in so i was happy and she sure was as its hot out again... Lots of benches n tables for picnics.. Just have to be careful of the duck poop.. Kids play area has lots of toys... Kinda enjoyed them myself tho rest rooms not open but over all i will be back...

Tiny park should be called wards pond instead of Lake not really any views one of the benches sits looking at a bunch of weeds (not the good kind either) Though You think it would be with the homeless encampments on the trails nearby And you run down apartments directly adjacent to the land It is pretty quiet though Tailend note if you wanna get out and stretch your legs as youre passing through its OK but if you like to walk several miles A-day like me youre bored in about 2 minutes

Pretty water view of a pond of some sort. Not very big. Chambers bay park have beautiful views and lots of walking space

It was a beautiful area but the restrooms were locked so it made my trip a short one

Lots of trash, drug needles, mattress, etc. once you start walking through the trails. We did not feel safe and left.

The homeless camps there need to be cleaned up but other then that its a great park with amazing trails

Its a very small park. I love the trails but I always feel a sense of unease when Ive gone there. I dont really know what to attribute it to.

The bathrooms were locked. The smell coming from the bathroom building was of backed up sewer so bad you could smell it in the parking area. Shopping cart full of trash in the path leading to the play and pavilion area. Litter and general unclean appearance .

The place is nice and beautiful. But I didnt like the atmosphere.

Im really impressed about this part nice quiet picnic tables a lake 7 trail hike Jungle Gym swings if you want to be secluded away from a lot of traffic this would be as place for you and a loved one romantic walks

Its basically homeless Central and if youre here very long I guarantee youll see a drug deal or 3. It does have a playground and walking trails but dont go alone. Ever. We only go here because its the only decent place nearby to walk the dog. Sometimes youll run into trouble. Druggies and mental cases abound. Ive had to call the police more than a few times.

A nice quite spot on a rainy day. Birds to feed, wet toys to play on. Its a nice small but nice well kept park between a couple of other housing projects. Its all there for a family.

This park is great!...if you like having the feeling that you could get stabbed at any moment.

Cool park. Its got a nice pond wuth ducks, and a troll bridge.

It has some beautiful things about it. If you stay on the main path, its a nice set of trails (though the plastic/burlap to keep the weeds down is exposed in many parts). If you go on some of the sub-trails, you find a lot of remnants of homeless, including needles. Homeless people hang out in the covered areas in the open part of the park.

I would not go back with my toddler. While there was a decent playground and nature area, we were the only ones with kids while there were other grownups there... one was walking around the playground aimlessly, while a group of about 4 others argued loudly with foul language. The wooded area had piles of garbage.

A decent park. Seems a little forgotten on the up keep and sometimes theres a misbegotten few ppl there. But if you catch it st the right time of day its nice to walk your dog and get a little peace.

A beautiful small walking park ryt smack off of I-5 & 84th..a lil kid area but some cool trails u almost forget its T-town

Not much but I enjoy it. It is a bit small and hidden, so when I visit the park i enjoy the peace.Update:been more people living within the back woods, keep a eye out.

Its a nice little local park. The ducks are awesome and the lake is stellar. The reason for 3 stars? Garbage strewn about everywhere.

The actual playground is decent but I’d be weary about the trails or coming here if your kids are super young/don’t listen/you generally don’t pay attention to your kids, cause they can walk right into the lake.

Wonderful place! Beautiful park and pond area! The skies are WONDERFUL to look at on a clear, even cloudy day! It is a very relaxing place! Very enjoyable!

Beautiful park with fun trails, but there are a few homeless tents that make it a bit scary. I wouldnt let my children run through the woods on those trails alone.

I enjoyed a walk are around unfortunate there is some trash, and there are a few side trails i wouldnt go down but main trail was ok. The pond had a bunch of young ducks swimming and playing. Over all i would go back but not my top favorite place to go.

A good place to get back to nature when things get you down. You can walk around the whole park, although somewhat small, its beautiful.

I lake the park but every time I go there theres a lot of homeless people, And bathrooms are closed all the time. people goes there sitting in their cars smoking weed

This place is a lot better ...than before

This park is beautiful, but Ive never been able to actually get out of my car to enjoy it. Theres always some weird scene going on and it is frequently the stop for many transients.

Water level very low. Nice park. However the fishing dock is overgrown with tall grass around it.

Some fish in the lake. Lots of weed cover. A good place to let the kids sharpen their fishing skills. Very convenient, close to home. A peaceful, clean,park. Thank you city of Lakewood Wa.

Beautiful park, except that the bathroom doors have been vandalized so badly the parks district had to put a port-o-potty in. Also, it seems to be a gathering ground for indigents. Foregoing all this, it has a great playground and trails to walk. The lake itself is quite pretty, but mostly hidden by water plants.

Fun to play with the kids and we can watch the ducks

The park is well maintained. I felt comfortable being there with my 2yr. Aside from the kids that are mid to late grade school ripping up the flowers/landscaping it was a good time.

If it had bbqs I would have given it 5 stars. This park is great! TONS of trails. Great nature shots. Playground. Lots of trees. Lots of birds. The lake itself is beautiful also. Has a dock you can sit on as well as a bridge, great for photo opportunities throughout the park.

There are homeless people who set up camp here. Stopped with my family to eat lunch here and I would say atleast 10 homeless people were present one, sleeping under a table, 8 hanging out in the sheltered picnic area and 1 trying to fight another for stealing his bicycle which was simply moved to another location at the park. Was partially frightened for my wife and kids, so we hightailed it out of here.

Small park, but its very pretty, has a playground for the kids, a bigger open area (good for dogs) and a few trails to walk around on. Also has picnic tables and some parking.

The bathrooms are just filthy shameful really Id never use them again.

No trail markings

Looks like the park has been invaded by the homeless. Trails has trash and dirty clothes in the bushes. Forest trails were not well maintained. Trees across the paths and BlackBerry vines snagging your clthes.

I come here often. This park has something for everyone. There are plenty of birds to watch, trails to walk, and equipment to play on. The park is clean and usually not busy. Parking is scarce but you can always park across the street. The geese here arent mean and they usually stay in/near the water. This is an awesome place for a picnic.

An array of paths that you seemingly can get lost in while at the same time not being very far from where you originally where.

Wards Lake Park needs serious attention too many homeless and trash everywhere

Tweekers came walking out of nowhere talking about having to come beat someone up and me and my mom where the only ones there. Was scary

I love this hidden gem!!! It is a nice and quiet park tucked away right under your nose. The lake is beautiful with ducks and geese all around and aside from the main area with a covered eating /picnic area there is a seperate area if your looking for privacy.

Very dirty, and a lot of sketchy people. There was a shopping cart and a bunch of clothes in the lake. You can see a pair of jeans I pulled out in the picture.

We had a birthday party at the park. Everything was well taken care of. The playground equipment was excellent.

I live a block away from this Park and carry a knife on me if I go alone with my daughter. I honestly try to avoid it, because EVERY single time I’ve seen drug needles, homeless encampments on the trails and drug deals in the parking lot. Makes a mom really uncomfortable to walk the trails with her kid. Anybody giving this park a high rating isn’t using their eyes whatsoever. It’s definitely pretty to look at, decently clean on the playground area, but a ton of seedy stuff happens there and I haven’t been back in months for fear of my daughters safety. Between the needles, random homeless in the woods and the drug dealers sitting in their Escalades in the few parking spaces this park has, it’s not worth the risk! If you have kids to protect, go somewhere else!

Love this park, hit the trails here on the bike at least once a week, good variety of birds in the area for birdwatching and whatnot.

We come here almost every day to enjoy the trails, pond and the park

Clean quiet safe near bus route and close to the freeway and gas. Kid approved swings, big toys ECT. There is fishing. The lake holds largemouth bass huge carp bluegill and bull head and blue catfish I grew up fishing it so please trust when I tell you Ive caught really big carp I mean 15 pound black or Asian carp

5 stars for the swings and the exotic duck. Dont know where it came from but turns out it hails from Mexico and central America, it looks like a Muscovy duck. The mallards dont seem to mind it.

It has a nice picnic, lake, and kids play area. It has a really nice, not to exhausting, trail system. If youre in the area its worth a look.
