Very cool shopping venue, lots of small local shops, food, coffee. Colemans fish is the highlight.

My dad and I went for a drive from NE Ohio. The area around the market had some cute stores and antique shops that we enjoyed going through. You do have to feed the parking meter, but thats okay. We went into the market last. They have a couple yummy looking eateries, but the fish market was best. You could choose from so many different fish and other sea foods in their display case for them to cook fresh for you! They also had another line where you could order from a set menu. Well be going back for some more fish even though its almost as hour drive.

Colemans is Fantastic!! If you like fish, try a fish sandwich!!! The Mac and cheese is yummy too

Awesome piece of history here!!! Built in 1853 (upper/north end) of cast iron columns and a gabled roof...it is older than the state of West Virginia! It is also the oldest cast iron market house in the country! It was originally an open market where Wheeling settlers could buy meats & produce. It is still, to this day, an operating market. However, it has changed a bit to accommodate the weather/climate without compromising the history...it is now enclosed and air conditioned/heated. There is an art gallery where you can purchase local artisan works (if thats your thing) and the Colemans fish sandwiches at the deli are really good.

Colemans Market was its usual efficient and tasty self. One of my favorites.

Went for colmans fish market. Plenty of Parallel parking along market. Bring coins for meter. The food is great no lines very fast service. Clean inside eating area. I drive 3 hr for this fish. Public restrooms, handicap accessible

Went to Colemans Fish Market. Best fish around! Plenty of various sides to round out your meal. Deviled crab is one of my favorites. Lots of other little shops around to add to the experience.

Wonderful place specially for travellers and their fish fry is just awesome! They sell fresh seafood and some unique items for house and jewellery. Relaxing place, awesome to stroll around and they have lots of antique shops nearby.

Great variety of locally owned shops and eateries. I didnt realize they also had an art gallery featuring the work of local artists (painters, stained glass artists, jewelry designers/makers, etc.). Had a lovely morning browsing, shopping, and eating.

I went to the Centre Market to go to the Colemans Fish shop. We always stop there when were in Wheeling and weve never been disappointed. The fish is cooked just right, nice and tender. Served on white bread, do much better than a heavy roll. I will continue to go whenever I can!

History is neat, very very outdated, streets are filled with potholes and horrible patch jobs, there is a sewage plant not to far away that gives off a wretched methane smell. Place seems to be over priced on food, partially due to the poor City leadership and crazy high taxes and fees. At the time of this review a article in the local paper states, the city is willing to over pay for a building that needs to be torn down, instead of fixing the roads and making the visit for people a enjoyable one. Poor poor poor leadership, the city has plenty to offer with that idiocy I can see why many buildings are left abandoned and falling down. Truly a shame.

First Fridays in Centre Market are always a grand time. Wine tasting and having some flights if beer. You can also enjoy live entertainment thru the summer months. You run into a lot of friends that you havent seen for awhile.

Well what can I say its Colemans fish. If you never been definitely recommended love the fish and Im not a big fish eater. The food is always fresh and taste amazing got a fish sandwich and seasoned fries worth the money and its absolutely amazing would definitely recommend to everyone. Great place to eat!!!

I go here quite a bit, but not as near as I want to. So many things here to enjoy. Colemans Fish, Olivers Pies, paradox Book Store, the Soup Shack, so many great places located in this little piece of Wheeling. Between the history of this place, and the businesses here, definitely a place to come and check out.

Love the fish sandwiches at Colemans! And the fresh seafood counter. We always get the Baccala for the holidays.

Always busy here

We got here close to closing time on a Saturday but there was still some activity afoot.This place reminds me of a scaled down version of Clevelands West Side Market.Historically charming and interesting.

Very nice market hall with a variety of food and curios in the middle of historic Wheeling, WV.

Center market provides a slight variety of chocies for food. There are plenty of small-town shops surrounding center market. All of it is easily accessible and within a walking distance.

I went to the brewery and had a wonderful meal and a beer. Theyve done a very good job keeping the the decor in place with the building and the food and drink were excellent! Parking was on the street, sometimes you might have to walk a bit. But its worth it.

Go to Olivers pies. They are the best.
