Absolutely beautiful. When we were there it was 68 degrees in August. That was a nice break from the heat.

It just beautiful on this blueridge parkway

Everybody stops here because its the highest point of the blue ridge parkway motor road that looks over giving a view of the southern Appalachians. at 6,053 feet above sea level this part of the parkway is often closed from November to April because of the weather such as snow, fog, freezing fog from the low clouds.
