Tranquil Place To Recharge Your Mind, Exercise Your Body, And Feed Your Soul.

What is the finest park in Haywood county. This place has it all from fitness center, indoor pool, volleyball, dog park, trout fishing, skate park, softball fields, walking track and the best disc golf course around. Beautiful place nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

Great atmosphere, enjoy a meal to the sound of a babbling brook.Walk off those pounds while learning about nature and the value of sharing. Arrive at the track, assume the position, the race is starting soon and your family is cheering you on. Wait the batter hit it long, keep running and steal homebase, you slide the last few feet...you made it and the crowd goes wild! Wait again, what was that sound? SPLISH, SPLASH... It came from that strange looking building, a soaking wet man in shorts is taunting you from the entrance. You race over, after stretching, because its important. Entering the building you see the man race around a corner, you continue to chase him! Behold a large open room and within an Olympic sized pool! You stare down the man and realize its Michael Phelps. He dives into the pool and you dive after him because running isnt allowed and safety is your number one priority. Victory is your second and while Michael is fast this isnt Baltimore, hes on your turf now. Your heart races in your chest and you swim like you have never swam before, in a blink of an eye you have crossed half the pool and you spot Michael... as he exits the pool. You float a bit trying to catch your breath, what were you thinking? Michael Phelps is the most decorated Olympian of all time with 28 gold medals! You realize that you might be a bit too competative but you had a fun time so you rate it 5/5 stars. As you doggypaddle to the edge of the pool you figure if you didnt have that fast food under the shade of the pavilion near the spacious parking lot you would have crushed that pot head harder than he crushed Mark Spitz records.Also I think there are tennis courts.

We need this in Franklin.I had no idea this place existed.Soooooo glad we stumbled across it.Way to go Waynesville.

Clean fun play and picnic spot!

I have been going to this gym for about 4 years pretty good place to go but they do need help with some of the things that gone with the way they shut the place down sometimes

Beautiful park with an awesome skate park. My son and his friends had a blast. Ingles is right down the street to stock up on drinks and snacks. Bathroom in the rec center

Nice little park next to a creek with walking path

Quiet, beautiful, serene, shady creekside park. Great for walking, picnicking, fishing. Includes a well-desinged playground for young children (aged 1 to 5). There is also a very nice skateboarding area, and a dog run area.

I love walking by the flowing water of Richland Creek. I also get to see dogs at the dog park, young people at the skate park, and sometimes I get to see the train go by.

Awesome park. Beautiful scenery. Skate park for children and adults. Two fenced in dog parks. Paved trail as well for walking. Have been to the wooden park as well. Not in the same exact area but within eye site. Lots of fun for young children. Very enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere overall.

Great local spot. Dog walkers and pokemon catchers love this place.

The kids loved playing in the creek and skipping stones!

This park has everything! A skateboard park, disc throwing, sports fields, a recreation center with a gym and two indoor pools, classes for excersize, and my favorite and one of the places I walk once in a while is the walking area by the beautiful mountain river water for people and dogs/pets. I love the water and swimming in nature. Not sure if you can swim here in the river or not but Im sure my next visit with my husband will be a swimming hole like sunburst or midnight hole.

Great size and structure. Good equipment but they just out in some neat looking new stuff. Pavillions and bathrooms were pretty well maintained.

Took my 6 year old to the play ground, he had to use the bathroom and the bathrooms were locked
