Wonderful park with plenty of space. The park is clean and well maintained. Make sure to visit the wine and butter shop to get essentials for your park enjoyment.. but beware..no bathrooms anywhere. If nature strikes your best best is eastern market.
Great park on the hill. Many different areas to find a place to social distance. Good for the kids
Great park. Beautiful statues that they are taking measures to protect. The trees could use some hydration and love but thats to be expected right now.
One of my favorites in DC. Lincoln Park typically has a mix of exercisers, dogs, kiddos, and folks lounging in the grass. Has felt safe during covid with someone (police? Ntl guard?) patrolling to enforce social distancing and ensure no large crowds gather. Great neighborhood park.
Very nice area to walk and play with family.
This park is located in a residential area where I noticed the people from the neighborhood are just relaxing under the shaded trees on a very hot summer afternoon. This park have a children playground and park benches. I noticed most people are reading and most of them alone. This park is located away from the tourist spots and have very limited and restrictive vehicle parking.
A great neighborhood for social outings for friends family children dogs whatever Its just an awesome place to be
Its a great place to take ur kids dogs and ride ur bike u can have a cook out in the grass and talk amoug ur friends.
Wonderful little Park to people watch and enjoy the quieter aspects of DC. Large enough to entertain a group of friends. Also Ideal to enjoy a small game or two. Clean and well maintained. Also very safe.
The best aspect of this park is the cafe wine shop on the Southwest edge. The conflicted statue of Lincoln with an emancipated slave in the middle of the park is well known. Look for the statue of Bethune Cookman, the great African American educator from North Florida and champion of equal rights in the Roosevelt Administration, playing with children on the Eastern face.
One of the best parks in DC. Dog run, two playgrounds, and lots of benches and green space and old trees.
Nicely located park with beautifully kept facilities. If only there wasnt a truly horrific and problematic statue of Lincoln and a kneeling former slave in the middle of the park.
Lots of open space to spread out. No problems social distancing, and everyone was wearing masks. Great picnic brunch spot!
Cool area of town.. Informative historian there.. check him out if you see him there in front of Lincoln.
A nice park, I’d say it on the bigger side of parks in Washington D.C. It has a couple of parks for the kids, open grass/field for dogs, maybe kicking a soccer ball around, catch. All sorts of room for activities. It also has a good amount of pavement running through the center of the park.
Wonderful experience I grew up here and took my grandson and shared some history..
This was the most humbling place Ive ever been it should be a mandatory museum for all humans to see.
A nice place to jog and run
Love the statue of Mary McLeod Bethune; a personal hero.
It’s fine.
So many good boys
Such a cute lil place! Went and watched a bunch of dogs and got to admire the blossoms popping! Great place to go and meet new people and make friends and also just feel good!!
Great small park in a wonderful neighborhood.
Beautiful park. Lots of benches and a couple small playgrounds. Really the heart of the neighborhood.Great for a walk, to sit and read, or for the dog to socialize. There are always free range children and dogs so be wary if you or yours has issue with either of those. For me, its great.
Excellent place to walk your dog. Many families were there enjoying the nice weather. There was however a water fountain that was disconnected. People do get thirsty.
Lincoln Park is great, especially when you take capitolexpresstours.com
The best park; even with all the police during the pandemic.
Lincoln Park is a wonderful neighborhood green space. My son loves the playgrounds. We enjoy the concerts and special events at the park. One thought, the playgrounds consistently smell of dead rats. I wish theyd spend some energy cleaning up the dead vermin.
Great dog park.
Oh my God, such History is in this place. The ambiance is melodious and it is very symbolic. It is more than a site to see, it is breath taking. It will be on the list yearly to visit.
Beautiful, quiet in the evening, peaceful. Seeing the words of legendary Mary McLeod Bethune made it even better.
Nice shady place to bring the kids or just to hang out.
Large shady park to sit and picnic!
Great place for children who are learning to bike.
Get you dog fix without having to own one. Beautiful off leash park with benches, sculptures, and flowery trees.
Good for dogs, and its got a few big trees, so thats a plus. Otherwise fairly unremarkable
Opalswalk2dc.comIt was a whole mood.
Good park for digs, kids and family
Love this park! Multiple fenced in play areas for kids and there are off leash dogs here almost all day every day - but be aware this is technically not allowed and every once in a while a park ranger will come through and make everyone leash up. The park also serves as a staging area for rallies/marches and is home to local events such as the annual dog Halloween costume contest, so if you’re nearby on a weekend check it out - never know what you’ll see!
One of the Best Parks in DC and the Best Places to Grow Up in the World
Nice Area
Sad state of affairs when monuments have to be fenced in to protect them.
It was a hot day. Beautiful park, but I just wish the drinking fountain had worked so I could refill my water bottle.
Great SPOT for My Dog on Saturdays to Meet Other Pups!! 5 star
Awesome park in the area. Nothing quite like it and as big. A ton of dogs come in the morning and evening for off leash play in the middle grass area.
Great place to do excizes
Fantastic urban park for hamocking, kids, dogs and picnics.
Ahhh parks in DC, where if its in a predominantly white area the laws dont apply! No leash laws and no open container laws if you have wine glasses and a quilt!
A nice park, Id say it on the bigger side of parks in Washington D.C. It has a couple of parks for the kids, open grass/field for dogs, maybe kicking a soccer ball around, catch. All sorts of room for activities. It also has a good amount of pavement running through the center of the park.
Grassy areas as well as benches. A safe place for kids to kick a soccer ball around. Very nice wine and cheese shop across the street.
My favorite park in DC.
Great neighborhood park. Always busy.
Alot of dogs ppl are kindly to ppl too
Large and quiet park
This place is beautiful. People bring their dogs, people are jogging, kids are playing, and the trees are beautiful. A wonderful small park to go to!
Beautiful calming
Lincoln Park had a nice area for reading, laying down on a blanket, dog park. Mary Bethune memorial statue stands across from Lincolns Emancipation proclamation atatue.
Working around the park for years nice and relaxing most residents take their dogs there do not like the statue of Lincoln other than that the park is fine
This park is great for parties. Last year for my birthday i decided to bring the family out to this park. Since my birthday is in the summer whats better than some fresh air and nature all around you. All my family members were kind to bring a different plate of food and party up a little. Therees a park are for kids to play . really cool place.
A great place to take your kids to play or your puppies
Cute but small
Wonderful park with sidewalk around it, paths for running just inside the sidewalk, and active community using it. Commonly used by dog owners and parents. Wonderful grassy areas for picnics during the summer. This park is great!
I like this park
Lovely local park with two small enclosed play area for children. Every once in a while the park services will put a sign in an effort to get dog owners to put their dogs on a lease but who is kidding here, it’s used as a dog park. Wish they would just acknowledge that and give the dogs their own fenced in place to roam. Doesn’t bother that much until a dog tries to come eat my picnic.
Such a beautiful place. Great place for your children. Clean and neat. Nice place to go for a .
Nice neighborhoods, lots of nice people with families, mostly young.
Enjoyable city park! It is somewhat small, but it is a great place to bring kids with the playground or to let dogs run around! There are plenty of people exercising and the view of the Capitol building is great!
The scenery and energy was great.
Civil debate in the public square. Another reason for Statehood
A large park surrounded by wonderful architecture and serviced by the 96 and 97 buses. Very peaceful at night although the rats have a field day. The views of the moon are amazing. There is a play ground and in July they have a birthday celebration for Mary McCleod Bethune which I enjoy. A posted sign says that dogs must be on leashes but no one really pays attention to that, which is good for some and bad for others.
Quality excellent Lincoln Park i love stomach thanks gab for Dees days
Lincoln Memorial Park is supposed to stand for something. It stands for the freedom of the slaves and one of Americas deadliest conflicts, however the park does not reflect that. It is honestly pitiful how pathetic this park really is. To me it displays laziness and disrespect to what President Lincoln accomplished. It completely disregards everything about the history and awesomeness of what happened over 200 years.
Beautiful park with plenty of space for birthdays, dog-walking, picnics, frisbee, hammocks, and strolling. A very safe and beautiful green space in the heart of SE DC
Learned a lot of things that I wasnt aware of!!
Great park, dogs roam free and they cage the children. Very progressive.
Paradise in the earth. Really makes feel relaxed.
Linkin Park is one of the best parks I could ever go to insane you know I have arrived every time I go there I get a new experience I need some of the most interesting people and some of the most Renown people most times I should do by the time I leave people being a hand in me money food clothing information is Linkin Park is the best I thank God that he inspired the people to build it.....
Lincoln Park is a wonderful and large park in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Its always lively with folks from the neighborhood and theres so much lovely and well-tended green space it never feels crowded. There are designated fenced in playgrounds for small children and a rectangular field where many people let their dogs loose. My partner also loves to run here as two laps in the track around the park is a mile almost exactly.
Nice but not well kept...its a Memorial Park the people use it for a doggie park...
Inviting clean place to relax
Lincoln Park is a great place to excerise a walk and run.
Very nice place
Best neighborhood park in DC with two fenced playgrounds for kids, plentiful bench seating, a sunken garden in the middle popular with dog owners, and several fun events scheduled throughout the year. Its the perfect spot for picnics, birthday parties, frisbee, baseball, toddler soccer practice, setting up a hammock, slack-lining, etc. In addition, the park is well-lit at night and safe for an even stroll.
Thats where my wife rest in peace
There are two significant statues in Lincoln Park. One is the Emancipation Statue that was dedicated ten years after Mr. Lincolns assassination (Frederick Douglass delivered a pull no punches type of speech as the keynote speaker) and the second is a statue of Ms. Mary McLeod Bethune, whose statue was the first statue in Washington, DC in honor of an African American.
Beautiful on fall Sunday afternoons
A very tranquil place
The park is unkept it appears dogs have taken over; people are not picking up behind his/her pets. Trash is running over on a regular.People arent not being courteous when jogging and riding bikes. It appears that neighbors are not complaining or even concerned.Rats and Mice are a MAJOR HEALTH Concern and this area is running out of control.
Great park. Lots of families. Nice playgrounds and equipment.
Great park for those living on Capitol Hill. Two playgrounds, so those with young kids will probably find themselves visiting frequently. Folks with dogs often meet up in the central grass.
Gorgeous
