Great place been going here for years. Quite safe, lots of deer you can see.
Local Treasure, peaceful and family-friendly! Enjoy an afternoon in the Park, walk the trails, or learn more about the community garden.
So open and spacious and sitting area away from traffic. Alot of greenery trees and...and there is a hiking trail sourounded by water.
Nice place to relax and walk your pets.
It was ok not the best all the bugs I dont like but is ok to cook
Fort circle Park used to be the place to go back in the day to listen to r&b groups from back in the day. Now they have changed a lot. I dont go there anymore but Im sure they probably have decent live shows
A Great park a p picnic in concert.
The concerts in Fort Dupont Park are one of the highlights of the summer in DC. A family friendly atmosphere in a great green space. The musical acts are top flight whether local, national, or international. Kids can run around and play while the grown ups entrance the music. Treat yourself to this wonderful park in southeast Washington DC!
Summer in the Park Concerts are awesome. Attended them all this year! Special thanks to everyone for making my summer memorable from childhood to adulthood! Nothing beats great free live entertainment!
Very good for cookouts, birthday celebration, walking or running the trail, or just a day in the park.....during the summer the entertainment is great, live band, performers, and it’s right in my backyard, only problem is parking but that can be worked out...walking there is better
Amazing park for nature walks
Used to be the one of few places where visitors can catch a free summer night concerts. They had great line up too, Manhattan, zap band, funkdelics, bands that are oldies but still goodies you know? Now all the fun summer time concerts are all gone out to the suburbs because people are too tight to donate money. Though its still a nice place to have a nice weekend summer time picnic. A lush green acre right in the middle of South East DC neighborhood.
This park has been a go to for Family fun days for years. Ample space and tables.. Love that they finally added a play area for the little people.. Only downside the bathrooms where locked.. Other than that Im sure my family will continue to use this park for years to come!
Its a really big park with lots of fun, family-friendly places to go.
Nice place for a small gathering
Its situated in the middle of a residential neighborhood. If you lived on that street, you could walk out your house and there you are. Like your own big backyard.
Park personnel kicked every one out and locked the gates at 2pm on a Thursday?
Convenient to transportation, all are welcome! They have nice playground for children and bathroom accommodations!!
Beautiful park that overlooks Washington DC. Nice walking trail and picking areas.
The festival was very nice it was good to see a lot of people in one place in one mode with Harmony and no disruptions however the parking situation was totally overwhelming the district needs to invest or should I say Muriel Bowser needs to invest in the structure of security and have more traffic control methods in place they do it when they have white concerts why not for the people of of color?
Landscape was so much better than back in the day when the grass was high and the mosquitoes were. So much more comfortable now during the summer concerts
Park rangers are wonderfulneeds more Park police needs more improvement on behavior and talking to community based on their attitude they are not fit to talk to anyone in the community that are disrespectful and they need to be
Family-friendly lots of outdoor space to run around have great cookouts first come first serve very very great atmosphere
Beautiful.. but needs another play area for kids.. A water splash area would be nice
I like the neighborhood most everything that I like plus the inside of the apartment and then Ill be close to one of my girlfriends we will close best friends and we look out for each other and Im looking for a new location because the one Im living it right now is is Roman house but they keep on shooting around here and now Im getting tired of being around here so I hope yall can help me to get away from you really Im very pleased need some getaway and I hope you can help me thank you very much have a wonderful day.
Had an awesome time seeing my favorite band Rare Essence at Fort DuPont Park it was lit
Quiet, peaceful and shaded. Just what this day called for. My Grandson was delighted.
Great !!! Atmosphere just needed better crowd control for all exit points in case of an emergency
Great summer events/concerts
I had a great R.E. CRANK THE PARK AND THE CITY.
You have a lot of fun there with bands cookout people are good
My wife and I take our dog here usually twice a day. We love the wooded paths. We do avoid driving through the park as the roads are in poor shape. We have loving this green space in the District. Im surprised more people dont take advantage of it!
Pleasantly quiet away from the traffic and horns blaring, you can smell the fresh air from the trees and listen to nature for a little while as you dream of being some place else.
Had a blast! RE turned it out. The East end was not ready for 7000 BLK ppl. Now they got the helicopters out Park Police and MPD. Still had fun though.
Very nice park for children an to enjoy family and friends
It was fun things for kids to do they had a very lot of fun
Relaxing a good local get a away spot. Love there park scene.
Lovely peaceful park tge view is beautiful and the family of deers
Clean. Beautiful greenery. People having a great time picnicking.
Love when they have live music (band) in the summer
Nice
Good time at East Capitol Reunion @ft. Dupont park, 8/3/2019
It was fantastic. Its about time they brought they concerts back that black peoplen like.
We had a wonderful time at the park yesterday.
Service was good, and the food, I will go back..
Great time, great place..definitely coming back!!
As in historical site, I was very let down. This property has been in the possession of the government almost since the time that the 4th was decommissioned. However the fort no longer exists. And that to me, is the draw of going. However, if you are only interested in some open spaces and interesting Trail and lots of trees, then I would definitely recommend it
This is definitely not my idea of a park in Southeast DC. I particularly enjoying watching the deer graze on the side of the road during the warmer months. The park area can be very crowded, so reservations are a must to host a picnic or cookout there. They have playground equipment and large areas that people can gather and have fun.
Seen Seers while walking home... How awesome it was.
The park was clean and the park staff was friendly and accessible.
Nice park been there a long time
Tell others why you love this place.
Just peaceful.. I love nature!!
The renovations are gorgeous!!! Excellent job.
Beautiful park thats usually empty!
Nice. Great place for a big family event
Born in NW, Lived in NE, Majority of the Life Time South-SE...
Never been to Fort Circle dont know nothing about it Ive been in Fort Dupont thats a nice place
Food was great but we had a lousy server
One of DCs hidden jewels. The actual park is clean and well kept. However more could be done to keep the trails better.
Nice place for family get-togethers. My family enjoyed there selves plenty of space with shade. The only Con I have is the Restrooms are really nasty my babies has to use the restroom outside because again there really nasty.
Nice area for family gatherings, reasonable parking.
GREAT PLACE TO BE
Couldn’t pay me to go there
Park police is being nice they make people feel uncomfortable
Had a great day with family
Nice to have this bike, run, hike, picnic all in the city
Great park. Maintained trails and quiet. Regularly see deer and small animals like squirrels and birds. Very quiet.
Fort Dupont Park is one of the most underrated parks in Washington, DC. You have the National Mall, Meridian Hill Park, Lincoln Park...all amazing parks, but if you want a true escape from people, go to Fort Dupont Park just across the Anacostia River just off of Pennsylvania Avenue. Its a fairly large park full of trails, picnic tables, an indoor ice skating rink, an outdoor amphitheater, and Civil War ruins (truly!). There are pockets to park in and enjoy nature. Ypull escape the sounds of the city and wont see many others if you do during the day on a week day.Grab your lunch and enjoy the many picnic tables scattered throughout!
This is where my Mom is Resident Manager. She keeps the grounds nice.
Great place 4 a picnic
Nice chill spot for family functions
Really a great place
Weve attended events and outings here since I was a kid. Great space for big outdoor functions. (Needs reserving from the Park Service.)
Park under construction. Getting new roads.
The park was nice.
Beautiful Green Space in the Southeast area of the city
Parking is always a challenge when attending events there, however spotting a dear or two more than makes up for it. A cool, refreshing oasis in the middle of the city.
The people here were very nice and helpful! From what I learned today, the facility is very community driven and just want people there...and can work with families with the fees, etc.
Typical park.. great for BBQ
Just a Park in the neighborhood... Youre bound to see a deer or 6 or 7 depending on the season.
Just pass it alot never been in the park but i always see alot of family reunions and partys/cookouts over there
Beautiful trail network for hiking or biking in the city. One star short of four for the trash problem. Mostly along bordering roads where drivers and pedestrians toss their waste into the woods. A $10,000 fine, like you see in many protected areas in the US, would go a long way to helping.
The Renovations are nice!
A family classic known for cookouts, birthday parties, and local events. It’s a staple location in DC.
August 28th is supposed to be North Michigan Park day and I really miss things that Marion Berry had started for us to have it for Circle Park on Galloway Street Northeast were we could have family enjoyment an meet are new neighbors.
It was good to be there even though its been awhile since I was there
