Its a beautiful park. It stays busy though. Lots of people like to just pull up and park and watch the water. Careful in the later afternoons, however. Ive seen a few drugs being used.

I love taking the grand baby out to play there. He loves going to the end of the peir.

Nice little spot to just enjoy the breeze or fishing. Before the Corona Virus they have a small playground for the kids. Its a nice little spot to ride to get away with the family.

Nice little family park on the water. You can fish from the pier. There is a covered area with picnic tables. They have bathrooms. Plenty of parking. Let the kids run wild on the playground jungle Jim things.

Nice place to visit when you need some peace ....and cant get to the beach!

Its very peaceful (not all the time, just for the most part). You can see some very beautiful sunsets here. You can also catch a good breeze and meditate.

Good place to catch small crabs... not much more there. Only fish that actually go for the line is too small to keep or catch. But good place to waste time.

Had a great day with family and friends a very beautiful place will be coming again soon.

Nice and quiet .. they need to allow fishing at night..its hot during the summer

Stately shade trees from under which to crab or fish. Picnic shelters for lunching. Spacious greens to throw down a blanket or thrown down on some frisbee. Extensive playground for the tots to explore. All on the water! Views of boats, jetskis, kayaks and paddle boards out on the sound. Oh, and modern restrooms.

Relaxing period. Enjoyed the peace and quiet.

The park on the Pamlico River is a lot of fun. Good for all kids of all abilities. Lots of ramps for kids who may not be able to do stairs. Safety padding around just about everything. They have a swing for the wheelchair bound. Also a shelter to getting out of the sun, and lots of places to sit and enjoy the views of the river and play areas.

Excellent place for photo taking and it is very peaceful

A lovely and quaint park with a good view. The park is a place where I have a lot of memories. I used to go crabbing there as a kid and would come back with a bucket of crabs. 5 stars.

It was not me and relaxing I enjoyed just sitting by the water. The one thing to make it better would be pinic tables close set to the water under a shared tree and grills

Nice family atmosphere. You can rent space. Not, sure how much! Nice place to walk your dog. Make sure its on a leash, alot of people and children dont care for animals. People there are nice. Restrooms are clean. You can BBQ out there as well. Bring your own grill. They do have bench tables out there as well.

Great childhood memories come flooding back great area to have a birthday party and grill out or go on the swings...grossly disgusting bathrooms the city of Washington needs to do a better job there. I know they are public restrooms at a public park, but I shouldnt have to worry about getting hepatitis or some other disease from using the bathroom there.

Quiet and peaceful place to visit

Slides and swings of all sizes. A good playground for younger and older kids. The side that is closest to the road is fenced off so concern for safety of traffic is minimized. Pack a picnic and enjoy the shade trees and waterfront breeze!

Good place for children

Great place for kids and adults alike. Very nice playground and a pier for walking or fishing. Plenty of wildlife to watch while enjoying the beautiful river and peaceful atmosphere. There are bathrooms on site and plenty of shadetrees to sit back and relax under.

I loved this place so much. It was a joy to find & i cant wait to return! Very serene.

Great place to relax, I watched people fish, kids playing on the swings and other rides, good place for walking, taking in an awesome breeze! Theres even a gazebo, picnic tables If you want to have family and friends day!

Plenty of fishing spots. Nice accessible playground. Two gazebos. Nice up to date equipment. Water fountain if youre okay with that. Got a men and womens bathroom. Plenty of ponds and ducks and other interesting wildlife. Kayaks for rent. A few bars and restaurants. Plenty of parking. Beautiful view. Got a store nearby to pick up some snacks and drinks if youre out a little longer than you intended. A little pricey, Ill say. Not much on benches though for parents trying to take a sit down while their babies play (if they let you!). Pier needs repairs though. Overall a very nice place to relax and being the kids.

This is not a safe park for little children. The park has a partial fence that only goes down one side. There isnt a fence to keep your kids from running to the water.

Great kids park, fence up between play area & street. BUT WHOS GREAT IDEA WAS IT TO NOT PUT UP A FENCE BETWEEN THE PLAY AREA & THE RIVER??? DUH!CITY OF WASHINGTON...PUT UP A FENCE ON THE RIVER SIDE OF THE PARK. PROTECT YOUR BABIES!

I never catch any fish here. Nice view though.

The city still has not fenced in this park like Greenville has. Several children and adults have drown there. Long as you binge watch your children at play, its okay to visit on warm days.

A very good playground with multiple things for handicapped children and a great view of the river, including fishing pier. Just across the road is a boat slip. There are swings, slides, merry go round and climbing tower that also has ramp and steps. Swings and slides both have a big kid and little kid version, as well as baby-and-parent co-swings. Playground is fenced on only 2 sides so little children will need to be watched closely as the 4 lane road is not far away. There is also a couple shaded gazebos with tables for parties or sitting, lots of bench seating scattered throughout playground equipment for watchers, and bathrooms a short walk away..bathrooms are summer months only. Large grass areas with shade trees surround playground on 2 sides as well which make good picnic areas. Overall a good 5 stars.

Pretty place to stop let the kids play and relax

This is a great place to relax by the water. Great place to fish or watch people fish. The restroom are normally clean but near dark the bathroom are normally very dark. It is also reasonable for family cookouts but people who rent the place before should be more cleaner or more considerate and clean up behind themselves. The wildlife at times do have issue with their body waste. Overall it is great for younger children with its play area. Lastly it is normally very peaceful and quiet.

Very nice public park, where you can cook, have a party or gathering without much issue, park is handicap accessible, with a lot of room for the kids to run and play, also had public restrooms that are keep up and cleaned daily, there is a pier to walk out on or fish, my family and i really enjoy our visits there
