Walked my dog in the neighborhood to kill time until park would be unlocked by 7 am as per hours online, or at sunrise as per sign on entrance to park. Once 7 am arrived a nice guy at the park told me of a change in weekend hours. The park now opens at 9 am on weekends. And the sign indicating the new hours is at the dog run but not the (locked) gate you are clearly instructed to use to get to the dog run. A sign needs to be posted with the new hours on or near the gate where you enter to get to the dog run. The stupidity of not handling this well boggles my mind. I put in a suggested change to google for the listed hours there.

Great park! Very secure and pet friendly. I meet my dogs here. This park also has very nice trees!

Nice little dog park. Nice tree coverage for shade, but that also has lead to the grounds being just dirt.

Sandy, but friendly dog park. Has strange hours - 8-7:15 or sunset, whichever is earlier during the week, and doesnt open until 9:00 on weekends. Wish the city would change the hours to sunrise to sunset like all the other dog parks in the city, then it would get 5 stars from my dog.

Shaded quiet large and clean park, dog park, playground, covered shelter City Park. But only four official parking spots so be careful to park properly, or walk there.

Nice dog run, but smaller compared to others in the area. Some dog owners at this park tend to act as if youre in their back yard, but others are nice. The park also has a nice playground and basketball court. Covered picnic area too.

Closed at sunset an hour too early. Just a big dirt patch.

I would give it a 5 star, EXCEPT for the absolutely no dogs rule for the grassy fenced portion...the dog park is solid dirt, so if you have high maintenance dogs like golden retrievers, you will spend more time cleaning them than you spend at the park....and this is all the more frustrating when there is a huge grassy area sitting next to the dirt pit that is usually completely vacant during school hours that is off limits

Nice, quiet, shaded neighborhood park in quaint Palma Ceia area. Parking is on street only and has only 3 spaces adjacent to the entrance. There is a fenced dog park, public restrooms, playground, and basketball hoops (2). Covered picnic area is also included.

In the middle of Hyde park neighbourhood, this is a piece of gem, almost reminds me the not england days, more europian style park. the various kids activities makes it even better destination. parking sometimes may be a problem, plan your visit at quite time. There is after school programs for kids as well, if you work at Tampa downtow, this can be a perfect visit during late afternoon before heading to home and avoid the traffic.
