It is an awesome experience. Most definitely could use a couple more testing areas as well as TRASH CANS (it’s 2020 yo! See if y’all can carry a small supermarket bag and put your garbage in it then dispose of it correctly )Definitely can not wait for the connector to the Van Dyke & 582 section of it which still hasn’t happened.

Calm place to go walking/biking or even walk your dogs. I dont give it a 5 star because there is a part of the trail that is not very good looking but overall a nice place.

I am so glad for ranger Mike and Ranger B, Today July 28 at 4 PM in the afternoon they went out of the way to bring my son and my grandkids back after my son raft scraped an oyster Bay and deflated the raft. Ranger Mike and young ranger B Rescue them And brought them back to Shore safely. So grateful for our law enforcement and first responders thank God for all of them. Once again thank you ranger Mike!

This is a pretty neat Trail especially for a recumbent as it has a lot of winding pathways. There are some good Shady spots and some full sun spots. I didnt see any Wildlife but theres quite a few people on the trail. There are several locations to start your adventure. Most of the parking cost $2 flat. If you start off of Hillsborough and go north when you hit Ehrlich itll be a little weird because you cant figure out that right at book Ballyhoo you have to cross the road to continue the trail but it doesnt go much further as its not complete yet

I enjoy going up and down the trail on my mobility scooter. There are many bikers, walkers, runners etc that use the trail daily. The trail part that I use goes from Old Memorial and Montague all the way to Gunn Hwy close to Citrus Park Mall. It is beautiful, very hot in the summer but really enjoyable in the fall. Ive seen turtles, snakes, rabbits, cardinals, blue jays and even a big alligator across the embankment on different outings. It makes my ride a little more interesting .

Close to home, easy access, varying landscape. Definately a MULTI-USE trail. I have walked all of it, from Lutz-Lake Fern to Memorial Trailhead. Plenty of stops for water and tables if you bring a lunch. There is a missing portion between Van Dyke and Copeland but still...

Really nice trail, plenty of shade along the way, especially toward the northern half. Fresh cold water provided at points along the trail. Very smooth asphalt. Very enjoyable bike ride. Only two negatives:1. Although there are maps posted at points along the trail, there are many places where a side trail diverges from the main trail, usually to connect to a trailhead where people can park and access the trail. However, there was often no way to know which was the main trail and which was the divergent trail, so this being our first time on the Upper Tampa Bay Trail, we ended up following several wrong trails. It would be helpful to have signs where the trail splits so that you dont end up having to do a lot of back tracking, as we did. You shouldnt have to keep checking your phone on a bike trail to keep you on the right track.2. MANY of the 911 station designators (numbers painted on the ground that you can give to the 911 dispatcher so they know your exact location in an emergency) are faded to the point of being illegible or are entirely rubbed off. They really need to be redone, it could make the difference between someone living or dying out there. All in all, this lovely, well-maintained trail is a great asset to Tampa Bay and we will definitely be using it again!

Very nice trail for rollerblading, biking, walking, or running. Goes quite a distance, with a water stop and restroom. Parking was $2. I didn’t pay because they were out of the green envelopes. Ranger Nick left a nice note that looked like a ticket, but was only a reminder to pay. Very nice. Pleasant views along the canal, with some shade. Nice in the winter, I imagine very hot in the summer. Highly recommend.

Great place to longboard or bike through. Very long trail with a proportionate amount of sunlight and shade. Could use a couple more water fountains. I believe Ive only seen one and Ive gone several miles in one direction. If we pay for parking its only fair to get water lol. Parkings only 2 dollars as well and its all day. No complaints there. Great place for a date. Or just running with a work-out buddy. Very clean and well-maintained.

Beautiful, well-maintained, paved trail and some sections are very shaded (greatly appreciated during mid-day walks). The other afternoon, I parked at Channel Park Pavillion and was lucky enough to see three manatees relaxing in the channel. It was an unexpected and magical experience because I have only seen manatees at ZooTampa and the TECO plant in Apollo Beach. I had no ideas that manatees could be right there in the channel beside Waters Ave in an urban setting. Hopefully I will get to see them again! This location has nice parking, restrooms, water, benches, and shade. Very nice.

Excellent trail with plenty of water stations. Not very shady in most parts so be prepared with sun protection. They will start chatging a parking fee of $2 at all lots for trailheads starting December 1st, 2017. Bring cash for parking. Solid and uninterrupted trail good for biking, jogging, or walking.
