This is my happy place. The art here is always changing and always interesting.
Small but cool place for a showing for one artist.
Went to see the work of the MFA graduating students at USF. The museum is a little oddly set up in an off center square rotating around the entry desk. The space is large enough with good lighting and high ceilings. Some spaces are better than others. This particular exhibit was decent, though nothing ground breaking. The students have learned their lessons well, some better than others, but still felt a bit too derivative. Glad to see them pushing though. Definitely worth a visit.
A Wonderful Experience!
Great shows. The latest are based on the changes in environment.
Honestly, I was not expecting to be so impressed when I walked in. Yes, the place can be described as a small museum, however, the set that is here is genuinely cool and some of it engaging. They host events regularly and it feels nice and comfortable when you walk in. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful, and you may end up walking out with a few brochures.
The art was very entertaining and interesting, and the hospitality was great
There was only one exhibit, but it was very powerful!
A great spot to see many different artists - some are students, some shows are well-known artists. It appears small, but it actually fits a nice amount of work. The displays are different at each show that sometimes include paintings, sculptures, video, interactive artwork, etc. Fun spot to stop by!
Beautiful exhibits that embrace innovation and culture. There are always new surprises in store for visitors of this museum, and the staff is very informative and helpful.
It is free and it is amazing. Look up whose work they display before you go and enjoy
Not alot to see, spent around 20 minutes in the two display rooms. Felt too quiet and dark. Very difficult to enjoy displays of the pieces. Bonuses: its free and the secruity guard is very nice.
Small space. Exhibit was good though.
Very small museum, but the museum attendant was very informative and accommodating. Not a bad idea to visit, if you’re on campus trying to kill time.
Always love stopping by when I’m at USF. I’m not a student but a lot of my friends are and I always am amazed by the creativity and ingenuity of the students that display their projects.
They have some great exhibits. Exhibits do change so check before you go.
Loved the variety of art and that its free! I come here every now and then on my lunch. Its a nice break from work and the Florida heat.
Insite to what the new generation is creating while earning a fine art degree
Great little museum, they have some great exhibits, free of charge and its sits on the beautiful USF campus.
Very small museum but nice and was free entrance, the staff was incredible and very knowledgeable. Campus around the museum was very nice and peaceful.
Free experience for all who enjoy contemporary art. Exhibits change frequently. Only takes about 20-30 minutes to go through exhibits thoroughly.
While not as big as some, this museum continually impresses with their well curated, inspiring exhibits and collection of contemporary art. Check ahead, as is typical with many museums, don’t go expecting to see their entire collection on display.
I visited the exhibition about climate change in Cuba. It was really cool and they also have talks there. I listened to one about cuban boats. Definetely an interesting place inside USF.
One of the best in museum in Florida showing comentporary art.
Interesting & amazing artist
My experience at this college as very poor. They offered me a degree, and nothing more. I sought internships and received no help. I sought research opportunities and received no help. I left the university with a 4.0 and a mindset that research universities are a terrible blight on humanity. The professors are researchers, not teachers. They are punished for poorly-performing research. The punishment is teaching more classes. Even a psychology 101 student could tell you this is a poor way to run a school.
I enjoyed it! it was small, but housed a few fabulous pieces!
Love this museum and I love that it is free for students
Free entry for great valuable art exhibition
Art
Very nice I enjoyed the exhibit
Only been here once but it was very interesting and edgy art.
Kinda boring, not gonna lie. But they change the exhibits frequently and they get good stuff every now and then
Very disappointing. A huge building that has very little art in comparison. We walked through in about 15 minutes and left.
Interesting but so smaller
Amazing place
I got to learn some new things
Thank you for hosting our Jefferson High School Student Art. It was a proud moment!
