Sacred Heart is the oldest Catholic Church in Springfield, Illinois. The masses and liturgies at Sacred Heart Church, whether in Latin, English, or Spanish, are truly sanctifying. The awe-inspiring sacred space and holy priests enable transcendence, which has been lost in many places of worship. Having grown up in the parish and having attended school there, I always look forward to returning home whenever I walk through the doors. Check it out...you will be glad you did!

Ive only been to Sacred Heart, but not St Patrick. The Latin Mass at Sacred Heart is reverent, and full of prayerful contemplation. When you enter Sacred Heart Church, you will be inspired by its sacred beauty.
If you want a traditional mass with a high level of reverence and respect that most churches have forgotten then this is the place for you. Also has a great Latin mass.
Love the way they do things here. And the very humble priests are amazing.
