Very well done museum. From Lincolns early years to the very end, the displays were well out together and interesting. Easy to spend 3-4 hours. Although, at the time of my visit, the sculpture in front of the museum was rather odd, I did learn about the back story, so it made more sense. I would say kids under 10 might not be so interested. Also, if short on time, start with the White House years.

Both moving and deeply felt, the A Lincoln Pres Museum does not merely portray his presidency. It shows us, in depth, the path Lincoln took from his youth to old age and the making of Americas bold, steadfast civil wartime president and how he kept the union together. Be prepared to be challenged, be enlightened and be galvanized by the undying memory of our 16th president.

To be clear- the law office and the presidential library are at different locations. The law office is at the old state house plaza. The law office building has been meticulously restored, and the re-created law office and post office are now located on the ground floor.I’d say this is a must see for lawyers; I would recommend it to everyone since it is not large and quick to see. There is also a Springfield/ Lincoln visitor center at the law office location.

Amazing. Dont miss the theater shows. The wax figures were creepily realistic. I would give this six stars. See all the Lincoln stuff in Springfield, youll be glad you did.

The Presidential Museum is beautiful!!!! A perfect tribute to our beloved President Lincoln!!!!! But l do have a couple of suggestions for improvement if l may! Lets get real here lets keep the political correctness out of this museum built in honor of the Greatest President of the United States of America and the greatest human being that held this office!!!! Why isnt there any displays of Civial war firearms and swords in the room were all the verious Civial war uniforms are displayed? After all the Civial war wasnt fought by throwing rocks at each other!!!!! The other thing is the room where the President is laying in state! The casket, the funeral tent the lights everything is right on with the picture except There should be a wax figure of President Lincolns body in the casket and two Civial war soldiers standing by the casket!!!! Every major city from Washington DC to Springfield the funeral train stopped where he layed in state the casket was open!!!! This is just reality and constructive feedback!!!!!

Rude guy at the desk tried to make me and my elderly mother who couldn’t breathe and who needed to sit down leave because we weren’t ticketed guests. He repeated “I can’t have non ticket guests be here” several times. I smiled and said I can’t make her move any faster, she’s sitting down and can’t breathe. She needs some water. He tried to keep saying it and I told him ok & walked away. Rude AF. Complaint called in on him today.

Not a whole lot to see, there is a recreation of the law office over at the Lincoln library/museum, if you are pressed for time seeing the Lincoln sites, this is easily one that can be skipped. Unless one of my guests really wants to see it, I simply point out its location and let them see it at the museum.
