I love going there because its a peaceful place to sit by the water to eat, feed the ducks or be still. Some people be there fishing. I try to go there at least twice a month.

I went to five mile pond park with my friends and its a good place to take the family and its quiet and not noisy and I would go back their again and I would recommend five mile pond park to everyone to go to five mile pond park is on Boston road in Springfield.

Be warned the KING GOOSE roams freely here..... He is in the woods watching very carefully hidden from sight.... He also sits on his stump in front of the pond and Lords over all he surveys very nice place with mostly very friendly people

A peaceful environment which Ive enjoyed since childhood, and a chance to watch the trains go by.

It was nice and clean Enough to swim in. Although I just went fishing. I just wish there wasnt so much branch in the way may line kept getting hooked. Aside from that it was free to enter and park its a nice place to spend time with family friends and loved ones. They even had a porta potty and the police and security took turns protecting five Mile pond park all day.

Nice spot to relax on the water, wouldve been better if the beach gate was open and not just the boat launch one. James Quackavoy (pictured here) was pleased nonetheless.

Once in awhile there is a dead body but a beautiful place nonetheless.

Not a bad place to go to. There are ducks and geese for kids to see. There is a small playground for children. There is a small picnic area. The lifeguards and staff are excellent. I only gave it 3 stars because the portapotty needs to be cleaned, sanitized, and restocked. Also, 5 Mile Pond can, at times, be frequented by some ghetto folk.

Just a nice park. Plenty of parking and a blast to swim in the lake.

The water is spring fed about a 100 yards off shore left of the beach area. In terms of water quality some of the best water in our area. The downside is the people using it tend to litter and not keep the park in the best shape.

Very gross disgusting just plain dirty the town people should care about there pond and keep it clean

The place was great.

Its very dirty from people leaving there trash on the ground. Food wrappers, bottles, fishing things. If you just want to fish and thats it then its good because there is alot of shade from the trees. But to go swimming or spend a day out there for fun not at all.

Terrible how badly maintained this place has become. Used to be a great fishing spot, and nice place to take a walk... Trash everywhere Unfortunately, yet another place that some of the people who visit here have zero regard for what used to be a family friendly hang out.

Good place to walk. This place is divided in two areas: one is like a beach area with swings, bathrooms, play area for kids and grills. There open in summer and they have a lifeguards on duty when is open. The other area is for fishing with a boat ramp, bathrooms and free parking.

Went yesterday, nice place to bring your family, I am however not a fan of the fish in the swimming area. Were a family who loves water and not a lot of trash.

Not a bad place during the summer to bring the kids swimming has some playground areas you will find your occasional bum or drunk walking around asking for money as well as quite a bit of garbage on the ground but if you can deal with that plus a million people around you while you swim not a bad place to be for the price
