Nice quiet place to sit a bit and chat with a friend
Another honorable park named after the great featherweight boxer Davey Moore. Its well known to Springfield locals and it has wide use for baseball games and another area gives the park a black eye...enough said.
They really need to fill the holes by the ball fields but its nice other than that.
I think the ball Diamonds are going to waste they could be utilized for summer and fall use just as well as Lagonda. I played in Davey Moore. Park when my children were young and now our little league team practices there the fields are terrible they just cut the grass thats it bring back softball...to our side of town...please.
Theres nothing to do
My kids love this park I just dont like the area
It has nice shade and bathroom are clean.
Beautiful park. But lots of drug activity and isnt always safe for kids
Great place for the Young Kids learning to play Baseball
Great for my Granddaughters ️
A nice place to just sit an read
Nice place to catch up on book reading. Not many activities
Not the safest area ever with a school right there by the park I took a walk and just wanted to get away.. this is not the place to go. There was used needles ? Everywhere and beer bottles, broken glass and to it all when I turned to leave a homeless male asked me for money when I told him I was sorry I didnt have any money on me he began following me and screaming obscenities at me along the lines of he was good and I was going to hell for not giving him the chain and ring I had on. None the less the next time I feel the need to take a walk I will drive to pump house ... I ending all I can say about this park is WOW
Never seen a park go to the gutter so fast
Its ok
Nothing there to do
Ate my lunch here the other day and read the newspaper...nicely manicured lawns clean and quite...not much happening here on a weekday afternoon...
I have been to Davey Moore Park as I did live very near there but, it has been many years ago. I do wish to return again very soon to see how the park is being kept. I will do this on my next visit to my home town. I remember when Davey died very well. My parents and his were very good friends. I remember my mother taking a huge cherry cheesecake to their home, to be served to their family and friends after Daveys passing. As I recall, it was a very sad time for my family and the entire city of Springfield. I didnt have the pleasure of meeting Davey but, I knew his parents. They would visit our church from time to time and they were such lovely people.
