Hello! I love this park !!! I often spend wonderful moments in my life with my family, there is everything for a vacation for adults and children. You will not regret it.

Great place to visit. Very pretty in spring but nice in the fall to. Nice to just walk & enjoy the colors. Came to visit Japanese garden that said open on website but closes in Nov.

Were so glad we visited. The Japanese garden had a surprise around every corner. The people working there were very nice and the gardens are well maintained. The kids especially loved the butterfly house. One could walk this place every day for a week and find something each time.

First time here, brought the boys and had a blast. They have butterfly garden, waterfalls, and kids park. So much to do for all ages..

Our daughter LOVES the butterfly garden and would enjoy volunteering there. I was surprised how much she knows about butterflies and their habits. Fun visit in an educational environment.

Spent three hours exploring with my dogs after an agility trial. Beautiful place, well worth the time! Spend the four dollars on the Japanese garden. Only thing Id improve is have either places to buy water, or drinking fountains. Its a big place and drinking water is sparse.

Nice free botanical gardens, we liked the succulents, master gardeners and perennials. Really pretty variety of irises.

Very calming, great place to bring your family on a walk. It has paved paths so anyone can go! Also bikes are allowed but make sure to go on the bike lanes and not through a garden! But overall really cool and the volunteers are very kind!

One of the best botanical gardens in Missouri. Scores of olunteers keep the grounds pristine! A favorite walking spot! Baggies for doggies, clean bathrooms, great gift shop, educational mini workshops held regularly! A wealth of adventures to be had there!

Great place...and 80% free. There are 5 gardens, a lake and a butterfly house free to the public. The Japanese garden is the only entry you pay and it is a mere $4. Plenty for kids to see and do since there is playground equipment as well as open space for running, biking and horsing around.

For free! You get an eye full of beauty and nature! And they have a butterfly garden you can go in and watch and learn.

Its a wonderful place to visit and beautiful it has good shady sitting areas. I would recommend going there It also has a good amount of pokey stops and gyms if anyone places Pokemon Go

This (free!) garden has so much to admire - lots of eye candy with all the beautiful trees, perennial and annual gardens as well as other themed gardens, insect themed playgrounds and traditional playgrounds, and a native butterfly garden. Even the nature center has a must-see incredible stained glass window.

My family and I love this park. Lots of space to picnic or walk the paths, theyre always updating the scenery, the flowers are absolutely gorgeous, and it is always exceptionally clean. Awesome spot for Pokémon as well.

This is a beautiful place to spend the day. Its good for families, couples, and single people. Our favorite places to visit here are the butterfly house and the peace garden.

The butterfly house was wonderful!! Lots of prettys fluttering about and they have added a Moth Box that even has a lunar moth!! Beautiful!

Had a wonderful time as a volunteer at the Butterfly Festival in 2018. Beautiful place. So many butterflies. Lots of activities for the kids.

What a beautiful place to just relax or take the kids or even take the dogs (dont forget your poop bags). It was great. We strolled around the pond (lake?) and just took in the sights. Of course most of us had our heads down trying to catch Pokemon and that was great too because that place was packed full of critters and pokeystops and gyms. Met new people (new to me, not the earth) and everyone was really friendly. Great place to spend the afternoon.

This is an amazing place if you like spending time outside, walking path tons of flower gardens an old homestead on the property as well a large water pond with geese and its all free along with areas to sit and relax bring a lunch well worth the visit

On a trip to Sprinfield with my son and needed a place to walk off some energy from the long drive....I found this botanical garden with beautiful greenway around a lake. Felt so refreshed! Great place for all ages.

I went with a group of friends and it was a lot of fun! We visited the park to go to the Butterfly House but it didn’t open for another two weeks. The website said the house opened in May. It was May 5 when we went. My friends and I decided to explore the park anyways. There were several plants, including plant labels. There was a lake and a cute bridge. The park had several benches and rocking chairs. We also found some Springfield Rocks, which was so neat! Many photographers were taking family pictures at the park. This is would be a great venue for a wedding.

By far, the most beautiful park in the area. So much to offer for people of all ages. Miles of walking trails with numerous playgrounds along the way. The gardens are beautiful. The hosta garden is my favorite. My kids love the butterfly house. Live butterflies everywhere. Sometimes landing on them. Its also very educational. Best part is that its totally free!!!! Donations are accepted.The Japanese stroll garden has a very small fee to get into it but very worth it. I highly recommend this park for gatherings, weddings, picnics, hiking or just getting out for fresh air.

Beautiful park! Clean with plenty of trails, solid concrete easy for strollers or wheelchairs. Full of Pokéstops if youre into Pokémon Go. Their gift shop is great and very reasonably priced, the money goes back into the park. They have playground equipment and a pond that has a beautiful bridge overlooking fish and even turtles.

2nd time there. We enjoy the Friday family classes!

Beautiful facility with plenty of open space and interpretive facilities. The main building has a gift shop and meeting space for public activities. A good space to bring the kiddos to run out in nature.

Best place to pokemon go in Springfield! Not just because it has a LOT of stops! Its beautiful, free expect for the Japanese stroll garden, full of friendly people and just an overall wonderful place to spend a few hours walking around exercising! Lovely animals around too!

Good family oriented place.

Amazing well kept natural environment! Recommended to go every week to catch up on yourself. A great place for peace and natural meditation. Always peaceful, thank you for all who take there time maintaining this garden!

This is a beautiful park. You can walk for hours without seeing everything. They have water features, play grounds, and plenty of space to throw a ball or fly a kite. The wildlife activity isnt dead but its not immense either. We enjoy this park and recommend it to anyone looking to relax.

Nice place for a walk, but needs trash picked up and possibly more trash cans. Looks like cleaning efforts have started though.

We love to go at different times to see the stages of growth and different blooms. So many varieties. The park has enough space to run with kids and the walking path around the lake has a few play places for kids too. The butterfly house staff share great info about what is there.

This is my favorite park in the Springfield area. My husband and I love to take our dog here for walks. Its gorgeous and very large. Nothing I dont like about this place.

Its pretty here. More park than typical botanical garden. Bring your walking shoes because its very spread out. There is also a playground for kids.

Beautiful place. Easy to get to, plenty of parking, and their facilities are always clean. Theres plenty of trails near the building if you dont want to travel off too far. Their annual orchid show is a must to see!

Our favorite park

We really enjoy going to National Greene Park. There is so much to do with lots of different age groups. The walk around the pond is so nice. My kids love the different activities as you walk. The different playgrounds are fun too. The Japanese gardens are beautiful but I wish it was a little cheaper for a whole family.

We love to visit this beautiful park every chance we get. Dogs and kids love it as well. Take a stroll around the park, bike if you like, hang out by the pond and watch the ducks, and meet friends old and new.

I went on a guided tour of the garden, it was beautiful. It is free to go there because it is taken care of mostly by volunteers. There is a butterfly house at the garden along with interesting stop and play areas for children. There is a paved pathway for walking or biking. Enjoyable for a quiet walk in nature or a family outing. I loved it and will definitely visit again.

WOW! What an amazing place. I could walk around here all day. The butterfly garden was awesome. The gardens spaced through the trails were very beautiful. I love all the themed playgrounds throughout the area.

I just love this park! Such a pleasant and safe place to take my babies to hang out.the playground is always clean and kept up and the walkways are well-kept. I always feel safe here and comfortable with my children!

It is a wonderful place, but I would not leave valuables in the car as there was a break-in and several items were stolen.

I love this park and come here often. there is so much to see and experience year round. a beautiful retreat with something for all ages. multiple playgrounds along the trails and picture perfect scenery every where you look. I come and walk a lap around the lake as often as I can.
