This place is amazing, every adventure has an incredible level of detail and tons of interactive elements throughout multiple (sometimes 5+) rooms! Ive done four rooms at Portal, and every theme is immersive and engaging. Some escape rooms are more adult-oriented, but at Portal there are puzzles for all ages, and my 11-year old brother has always been able to fully participate! I love this place and Im sad that we only have a few rooms left to try. 10/10! The best escape room(s) in Oregon (that Ive visited).

Im absolutely in love with this place! The puzzles here really make you think in order to complete your objective and move on to the next room. Not to mention the decor of each escape room is spot on! It really makes you feel immersed into the story your in. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves puzzles, or is just looking for a fun time!

I have done escape rooms in several states and Portal is one of the absolute best there is. It could be argued that they ARE the best. The set designs are amazing and immersive and the puzzles are fun, even when difficult. We have done a few rooms at Portal including Lost Woods which is one of three rooms that are part of the new Portal Mansion adventure. We were blown away by this room and are looking forward to doing the other two parts. Third generation rooms like this are showing up a little more but they can still be hard to find, and if you havent experienced one yet, I highly recommend giving Portal a try.

Super fun time for our group! We ran into each others in the hallways and had a impressively elaborate set of rooms to work through!!!! So much fun and the customer service getting ready for our large group was 6 stars!!!

We did the Tomb of the Gods/Indiana Jones-inspired escape room as a team building exercise and it was a blast! Great puzzles that really took some thought and a great feeling of success when we exited the room with a little over 8 minutes to spare. Highly recommend Portal Escape Rooms!

By far the best escape room Ive done so far! We did the Voyager room with a group of six, and made it out with about eight minutes to spare. The puzzles were tricky, but definitely solvable if you focus and put your mind to it. This was their hardest room, and it definitely took all of our brain power combined! The room was super immersive with amazing props and visual and sound effects, all of the puzzles were theme appropriate, and the hints were helpful but not outright giving you the answers. Our whole group had a total blast and we will definitely be back to try the other rooms!

Great service. Ben, one of the owners, is a very welcoming and kind person. The rooms are also very well setup. Its very surprising my quickly an hour goes by. Optimally 5 to 6 seems like the most fun. Any more is too much, and any less can be a bit more challenging.

First time doing an escape room and had a blast! Thank goodness we switched to intermediate instead of advanced as we made it out with only 47 seconds to spare! Ben was terrific and the whole thing was a super fun experience. Its really nice that they do a photo and email it afterwards too of the group. Highly recommend.

What a blast! We did the Voyager room, and it was WAY more challenging than the one other escape room that I have done. There were so many fun and interesting puzzles/problems. We used ALL of our hints, which were provided to us by a tablet. The staff was super nice and took our picture so we have a fun keepsake. I highly recommend Portal!

After deciding to try an escape room for my 18th birthday, our group was absolutely thrilled to experience Portal. Locally owned and super inventive, we never felt like we were failing any challenge. The puzzles in each room range in skill level, but after going through all 4 currently in rotation, I can confidently say that even their easier rooms offer an enjoyable challenge. I would absolutely recommend Portal to anyone whos looking for a fun, team building experience. The staff are all incredibly attentive and amazing, and they never make you feel like youre going through a challenge alone; theyre just the best at having fun with you even though theyre watching your group struggle pathetically from their control room.The variation in puzzles is something that our group agrees are one of the best parts of Portal. The electronic locks in Voyager are some of the most inventive, but the mix of physical locks and keys in other rooms really offer your group a chance to work together. In our experiences at Portal, it has never felt like anyone wasnt involved in solving a puzzle of some kind. The split rooms in all of their adventures are fun and encourage your group to keep everything detail youve encountered in the back of your mind for later, and everything ties seamlessly together when you eventually escape the room.10/10 will recommend. Went to Portal Escape Rooms for a work party and we all had a blast. It was a a very different experience and that made it quite memorable. The clues can be confusing but the guys that run this place are helpful when they need to be and are super fun and enjoy what they do. Weve already started working on when we can have our next event here!

My husband and I did The Tomb of the Gods for my 51st birthday. It was our first Escape room ever, and it was just the two of us. We came withing 5 minutes of finishing, and only had to ask for one hint. The puzzles were inventive and challenging, but every one of them was do-able with the objects and clues in the room.They let us finish even though we had run out of time. It was absolutely thrilling, and one of the best birthdays I have ever had!We are long time gamers, from D&D to computer games from High school to present, and living the game was even more fun than we had imagined. We plan to get the rest of the gaming group together and try to beat the Tokyo Heist next. I can easily see why people do all three in one day, but I want to spread them out so I can savor them a little longer. I will do them all, though, and them wait, mostly patiently, until the next one come out.... :)

Had a great time here with my co-workers. The puzzle we tried was a challenge, but not too much so, and certainly provided a good outing for us. The attendants were friendly, and the environment inviting. Would definitely get locked into a puzzle box again.

We went as a group for my husbands birthday. There were 6 of us and everyone was able to contribute and have fun. I totally recommend giving it a try. When we would get a little stuck they would give us hints. Everyone had a blast. Its not too expensive and they give you a group discount!

You can tell they put in a lot of effort and work to make sure that your escape room experience is amazing. Voyager was my favorite room because of all of the high tech puzzles we had to solve. Our group(s) did Tokyo and Tomb of the Gods. Tokyo with a full 8 people and Tomb with only 3. Both were very enjoyable rooms. We tended to like Tomb slightly better though since we had fewer people and more room to maneuver and each had plenty to do. While we didnt find these rooms to be particularly difficult, they were still a lot of fun. I think we asked for one hint on Tokyo and no hints for Tomb and still finished with a ton of time left. Really impressed with the brothers who do this and design the rooms themselves. Will definitely try the other rooms when were back visiting Eugene/Springfield.

My friends and I did an escape room for a birthday party. The puzzles were complex enough to keep it interesting and challenging, but not enough to be exasperating. All ten of us were fully engaged the entire time, and everyone got a chance to figure out some aspect of it. It was also nice that there were three rooms (once we found the keys), so it didnt get too crowded, and different groups could be working on different challenges.The owners/operators are brothers who are building this business with a passion and creativity thats inspiring. They have big plans for expansion, and teased us with some unique and inventive ideas that are in the works. Id like to try out another one of their rooms soon. I highly recommend the experience.

Amazing rooms with amazing attention to detail and amazing puzzles! They are difficult enough to have to give it some thought, but they do provide hints if you get stuck. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is curious about escape rooms or experienced in them and want a challenge. The staff is amazing and helpful and they are constantly innovating and coming up with amazing new ideas and concepts.

I have been to 3 escape rooms in the Eugene/Springfield area and Portal Escape rooms exceeds the others by far. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship is superb. Their clues and props are well thought out, intentional, and a good amount of challenging, yet fun.The Voyager was especially fun; incredibly intricate and has great group engagement. Cannot recommend enough!

This was SO MUCH fun! We had a small group, just 4 of us, and we finished the room with 12 minutes to spare. The puzzles were fun, some were hard and really made us think, we even needed a couple hints to get us unstuck. The guys who were working were very friendly and helpful. Cant recommend this any higher for a fun, unique, experience.

This is the second room I’ve done now and I’m completely blown away with how awesome these experiences have been. Not only are they amazingly intricate, but they are sensory immersive. The guys at Portal Escape Rooms are awesome! It’s a family run business and they make you feel so welcome. You can tell the employees (all brothers) enjoy what they are creating and doing because they are enthusiastic about it, which makes it fun for guests! When we left tonight, we already booked our room for next weekend because we had too much fun!

We had a great time doing the Tomb of the Gods room at Portal. Our group included experienced escape room people and newbies. Everyone had fun. The clues were challenging without being frustrating and the rooms were beautifully designed. You really felt like you were in the jungle. We will definitely go back and try another room.

We went for the first time today and did the Cowboy Christmas for my sons 11th birthday. It was so much fun. Chris, an owner, was truly amazing! The challenge was so much fun! We will definitely be coming back to try different themes! I recommend to anyone looking for new different fun.

These guys know how to make an escape room. The puzzles are difficult and fun and they give you the perfect amount of nudges in the right direction. Everything was incredibly well crafted. I have done plenty of escape rooms and I can honestly say this is the best one Ive done in Oregon.

Portal Rooms are amazing. Some escape rooms feel like rooms. Portals rooms are completely immersive and make you feel like youre really there. Always recommend.

August 2020 update: Portal has rapidly become my favorite escape room business in the area. My group and I have now completed several of their rooms and have consistently enjoyed their puzzles, storytelling, and art design. We most recently completed one of the story in their new Mansion area, which was fantastic. Their COVID precautions are comprehensive and we felt very safe adventuring in their world.I stand by my original statement, and Ill take it one step further: if you go to Portal, you might find other escape rooms disappointing in comparison.Original review: Our group of six had an excellent time in the Voyager room. Great puzzles, very cool setup. Clearly a lot of care and creativity has gone into this thing. I wont say anything more to not spoil the experience. But: you wont be disappointed.

Honestly the rooms are super fun, and a great way to stimulate your Brians, puzzle are pretty challenging. If you get lost dont worry, the cool dudes in the control center will carry you to victory! Great way to see which one of your friends will survive natural selection. Also they have pretty sick merch! I suggest you get a T-shirt on your way out!

My friends and I were looking for something to with short notice on a Tuesday night. We decided to try an escape room since two of us hadn’t done one and it had been a while since I had done one. Portal was the only place that was available to book the same day and late at night! We were excited to reserve our spot and test out a room for only for $30! We got there and were happily greated by Benjamin! He welcomed us and told us the background of Portal escape rooms. He was kind and genuine when he engaged us in conversation. He was excited to have us and ensured we would have fun. The design of the room we did, Outlaw in El Paso, was so surreal! It felt like we were actually in the settings they placed us in. The puzzles were just the right amount of difficulty to make you really use your brain and test your skills, but not enough to frustrate you. The mechanics of the puzzles were amazing! I could go on and on forever. Great experience and will definitely be returning!

Portal is a great place to go with friends! Their new room “Voyager” was probably my favorite because unlike the others, your group starts off separated. The technology makes the experience that much more fun, and I loved how there are different ending options. My favorite part was driving the spaceship! I highly recommend all their rooms.

My friends and I did the Voyager mission! It was an amazing puzzle, it needs good teamwork and communication. It had great props and is super fun. This is definitely the place to go if you want to do an escape room. Great staff, price and atmosphere!

Portal Adventures is absolutely fantastic. There were four of us in the Temple of the Gods adventure. We didnt know what to expect, but it was better than we could have hoped for. It was just hard enough to be a ton of fun. We all started communicating very well to get through the clues and puzzles, which was cool. We were about a minute late but they let us solve the final puzzle anyway, which was awesome. It was good fun for the whole family, too, and illuminated each persons strengths. My husband says there was nothing he didnt like about the adventure, which for him is saying a lot. My kids are 19 and 25 and they said it was a blast. The whole thing was well planned, well executed, and so detailed. The immersion was amazing, considering youre in an office building! I also had to call Portal twice when setting up our reservation, and one of the founding brothers answered the phone and was kind, helpful, and sorta cheeky. Our family will support the brothers as often as possible because they are great human beings and you dont find that every day. Kudos to the brothers for a fantastic venture. We can hardly wait to try the new scenario! (And Vince the mascot cat is adorable!)

We have finished the three rooms that Portal currently has to offer and we are hooked! Portal was our first Escape Room experience and it is quite the experience! They do a wonderful job at immersing you in your scenario, with all of the props, clues and puzzles matching the style of the scene. My favorite room is the Temple Escape! Well made puzzles that are difficult and fun to solve! Weve looked into a couple other places around the area and this is the best without a doubt! We are looking forward to whatever they have in store for us next!

Went to Portal Escape Rooms for my first escape room experience, and it was AWESOME. We did Tomb of the Gods, and the actual rooms were really neat. Very well designed. The props were realistic and detailed, and the story was fun! Their team did a great job preparing us beforehand (again, I was a newbie to this, so they explained how their locks words, and what could be moved and what couldnt) and they also did a great job of giving us help as needed. We made it out with 25 seconds to spare!I would totally recommend this place! I certainly plan on going back!

Haunted Tomb (or on the regular non Halloween days just The Tomb) escape room was excellent! Intermediate difficulty with very fun and unique puzzles to solve! The company is owned and run by two brothers who work on site with the participating groups. They are very professional and detail oriented in making the experience interesting and complex enough to keep peoples brains busy, but is equally user-friendly and intuitive enough to be able to solve the puzzles and riddles without too much difficulty or confusion. The set/decor in The Tomb is great; makes you feel like you really stepped into a new world. They utilize some really neat props, special effects and mechanics to make the experience very exciting. I highly recommend trying out one of the escape rooms at Portal Escape Rooms! They have been the best Escape Room experience Ive tried thus far in the Eugene/Springfield area.

Weve been twice now. Once through the Tomb of the Gods when it was haunted and last night through Voyager. Both were excellent experiences. Voyager is more difficult and requires a lot more cooperation. The brothers who own this place and design the rooms are delightfully enthusiastic about what they do and really do a wonderful job of of creating an immersive set.

I have been to a few escape rooms and this place is the bar set. When you enter the room you are transported to another world. There is replay value!!!! How crazy is that, you might think that it is a one shot and done but there is so much to enjoy twice around. Tokyo heist was amazing! You wont be disappointed.

Just did the western christmas themed escape room. Our party of 6 ranging from 10yo to 40yo all had fun. It was well paced and extremely well thought out.Cant say enough good things about the owner or the work he put into the business he and his brother built from scratch.

Team Brainiac loved Tomb of the Gods at Portal Escape Rooms! This was our third escape room, and we thought it was the best! And we escaped in very good time. Atmospheric, clever, great electronics,, and artistic. The rooms creator (Chris?) was contagiously enthusiastic, and justifiable proud of this well-designed room. We liked that our 6-year old, very helpful team member was allowed to participate. We will be coming back for more Portal Escapes!

Incredible escape room! We did the Western one and it is by far the highest production escape room we’ve done. The room was perfect for our family (6 adults and one kid). The two hosts were passionate and excited about us being there. The location was immaculate including the lobby and the restrooms. Highly recommend.

I have done 2 of their 3 escape rooms so far, and I cant speak highly enough of them! The quality of the story and the set is far beyond any escape room I have ever seen! Puzzles are smart and intuitive, and they make sense. I know that part is a matter of perspective, but nothing felt unfair. These are hands down the absolute nicest escape rooms you could possibly go to and are worth every penny!! I just wish I could experience them all over again!

This was a terrific experience! The puzzles were challenging enough to make you feel accomplished when you solved them, and a lot of the objects were just really cool and fun to interact with. The clues and activities required were also diverse enough to utilize the skills of different people in the group, and keep it from feeling repetitive. Great attention to detail to fit with the theme- made it feel like the Indiana Jones experience (minus the live snakes). The staff was very friendly and helpful, and clearly passionate about what they do. I would highly recommend this place.

We had A group of six retired teachers. Ben led us through all the preliminary information, and off we went to the Tokyo heist adventure. We had a ball! We laughed, we worked together, we tried and tried with some clues. And we escaped! Ben was great! He watched our group, he provided clues if we needed some, he gave subtle hints to prod us along if we needed some, and was grinning at all of us when we finished. We will all most definitely go back. Thank U thank U portal.

Portal escape rooms exceeded my expectations. What I expected was a single room from which you had to escape but I was presented with a three room campaign each room related to one another. Even more than the great stories portrayed in the rooms was the great helpfulness and kindness shown by the staff from the moment you arrive till the moment you leave. No complaints. All good things. 10/10 would recommend.

My husband and I had so much fun figuring out the Tomb of the Gods room! My 9, 11, and 13 year old boys really enjoyed it too. It was a great addition to our weekend in Springfield. The sound effects and the props made for a very authentic experience.

This place is awesome! If you havent tried it..... TRY IT. This was my first time to an escape room, but some people there said it was the most impressive one they are been to.The brothers are very nice and you can tell they are extremely passionate about what they do.
