Hot mess express getting off the water. Wish people were friendlier in general. We love being out in the flats... always lots of sea creatures to admire. Dolphins everywhere this day

Beautiful park to watch incredible sunsets. Lots of space to share with other folks with benches, picnic areas and restrooms. You can launch your canoes or kayaks as well as a boat ramp. A must see stop.

We live year round nearby, so were very happy the pier is reopened! It was extremely busy last night and everyone seemed to enjoy the views as much as we did as the sun set!

But a beautiful little Park with all the history plaques of the things that it happened at that point we had a blast took some funny photos and enjoy just being outside

Very beautiful scenery, the boat ramp in a little on the shallow side so I wouldnt drop a larger boat here. They have a very nice kayak drop tho, equiped with stairs, easy to get in and out of. Also open public restrooms. A decent fishing pier. Slightly on the small side. But there are plenty of places to drop a line in. Definetly worth exploring.

Finally!! The pier is finished!! Yeah! And, it looks beautiful. The construction is really nice. It was really nice being able to go out on it n watch the manatees.

Natural and scenic with boat ramp. Short board walk with picnic tables under shelter. Mens room had very unpleasant smell. In need of thorough cleaning. Womens room ok.

Its a nice area. Very limited trailer parking. Most of the time people are in and out of the ramp quickly and pulled off to the side to secure. At times you get that person who doesnt care about anyone. Definitely needs to be launch, park and move away from the dock.

Nice, quiet, peaceful little park. (Its a pretty cold day in January 2019 so it s not crowded at all.) Good boat ramp suitable for even mid-size boats. The place is clean, well maintained. View is great.

Review №11

Nice ramp. Limited parking. Filled up by 11 on a random Tuesday. The ramp is on the shallow side but could probably launch up to a 24 ft center console without much issue. I wouldnt try to launch a heavier boat with a deeper draft like a weekend cruiser but any bay boat would be fine or even a 22 ft walk around would be fine. When I went in June 2020, they were working on rebuilding the fishing pier.At the boat ramp, there are two single bathrooms. Parking cost $5 for boats with trailers and uses a credit card next to the boat launch. There are two bait shops on the road to the boat ramp. I did not check out the kayak launch while I was there though.

Decent ramp. Stay away on the weekends. Too crowded with weekend warriors.

Easy in and out. Parking is limited but still got a spot. Kayak launch was easy to use just a little slippery when getting out but there are stairs next to it that can be used instead. We enjoyed our short trip out and will do a longer one so we can paddle to Pine Island Beach in the future.

I love this place.Parking is free, useless you have a boat trailer. There is several covered picnic tables and plenty of room the hang out and even fish. The pier still isnt fixed, but part of the walkway is accessible.Besides sunrise and sunset meditation, I love kayaking or just hiking around to the other side of the park where there is a metal walkway and several large and small covered picnic tables.#denisemartin #xo_dKayaking is a blast..my new favorite sunset spot and aquatic picnicking.

I am here often to take photographs. One of the most scenic places for sunsets in Hernando County. The breeze by the fishing pier area keeps the ever present bugs away and the whole area is scenic and a nice place to walk, sit, or fish.Im an amateur photographer and videographer and Bayport park has become my favorite place to spend my early evenings. One caveat. If you plan on walking around, bring bug spray. Once your away from the open water it gets very buggy very quickly. This is a great place to go with a lived one to enjoy the sunset, or just to enjoy the water.

This Boat Ramp Needs enforced Supervision... There were vehicles parked side was wrong taking up 3 spots there was only a few courtesy enough to pay attention to how the traffic flow was suppose to be so the boats could load and unload normal....very very unorganized.... Rogers park will be the ramp we use from now on...

This is a charming multi use park. Sadly the fishing pier was suddenly closed in December 2019 and as of 1/1/2020 it is still closed with no signs explaining why or possible reopen date. The park itself, boat, and kayak launches, are still open. It is a very nice tranquil place to take kids to run around on grass, or picnic under covered tables with full, clean restrooms. No walking or hiking trails.

This was a beautiful place to gather for our family. Four generations came together for a visit in the Spring Hill area and we couldnt pass up the opportunity to catch a sunset at Bayport Park. Most evenings at least a few cars quietly make their way here to experience the greatest show on earth, but Ive been here when its hard to find a place to park!(thats ok..theres another parking lot just down the way across from where the rest rooms are). Also plenty of picnic tables.

Wonderful place for a gathering. We were there for a birthday party. Reserved the shelter. There is only one. Has picnic tables, grill, and electric power, cement floor and lights. Restrooms are by parking lot. Sidewalks to/from parking lot. There is a boat launch in other lot with more oarking. There is a boardwalk around the waters edge. Some people were fishing. Very, very clean. There are many picnic tables around the path to the boardwalk.
