Easy in and out for kayaks and SUP. Dont forget the meter to park! Fills up fast. Got there 0820 and the lot was filling up on a Saturday. A little over a 6 mile paddle to see the really clear blue water from here. Up the river is work...sweat equity. The way back to this park has good current and an easier 6 miles back... the views at miles 6 are amazing!

Great access to the Weeki Watchee River. We arrived before 7am and had our choice of parking and no competition getting into the water. We had a nice quiet paddle up the river. We saw manatees, mom and baby, otters, Hawks and heard an owl. Beautiful and shady river meant no sunburns. We took 4 hours to go 4.5 miles up the river and 1 hour and 20 minutes coming back down. The current was fast. We will definitely be doing that trip again!! Only complaint is that coming back to the park it was packed on the river. But it was also Sunday of Labor day weekend.

A good local area to cool down during the hot summer months in Florida. There is a small beach with designated swim area that is kid friendly. Has restrooms but no concession stand. There is a boat and canoe/kayak/SUP launch at no charge. All day parking $5. Limited parking spaces for cars and vehicles with trailers. There are a handful of resident manatees you may see when going upstream towards the state park.

I really havent been to Rogers Park in literally 30 years. Was hoping it was kind of the way it was when I was a kid. But of course not. The beach is now a seawall with a weird ramp into the river. And we used to be able to swim and play at will. Now they have a strange swimming area which resembles a public pool. Sad

Rogers Park, though its a drive from my residence it is worth it. Ice cold water, not too loud, very relaxing. You can rent canoes or kayaks or jet-ski or boat down one side and another side is set for swimmers. $5 parking for all day, the literal only cons I can think of is the stalls in the bathrooms arent roomy enough to change in as well as too few parking for a lot to enjoy but I guess thats the price you pay for a little oasis️

Great place, does tend to get over crowded on the weekends. Would recommend a weekday if possible. They have rope swings throughout the river and different sand bars on the side. Water is crystal clear. You will have spots where it is all wildlife and towards Roger will be houses on the bank and even rentals if you are looking for a place to rent on the water! Family friendly and we got to see manatee as well!

Its one the most favorite for canoeing and kayaking, I did canoeing there several times, and I always loved it, you can use your own kayak or canoe or rent one, for kayaking its 25 $ and for canoeing its 35 $. Carry some water n snacks with you because its a long stream, and you have to paddle a lot. The full length of the stream is almost 5-6 miles and its not in a loop. And if u get lucky you can definitely see mantees swimming with your kayak

This is a common launching and landing spot for those exploring the Weeki Wachi looking for Manatees. The main kayak and equipment rental shop is right across the river. It’s busy and the parking is limited. It is quite challenging to get in and out of - especially with larger vehicles and/or trailers. You can visit just the park, there is a small beach and swimming area. I believe there is a fee to use the lot.

Other than an occasional traffic congestion Rogers Park offers both a boat ramp, kayak launch, and swimming area. Its a great place to launch early in the morning and head Upstream towards Weeki Wachee State Park and enjoy a nice leisurely return before heading home. 5.00$ to park all day. There are bathrooms on site and the water is patrolled by the Hernando Sheriffs office and FWC often. This is a great place to get into paddling. There are often manatee and schools of fish to see as well as friendly riverside homeowners. If youre trying to decide if buying a kayak is right for you there is a vendor across from the park offering a wide range of rentals.
