Well we decided to go to the water park at 4 pm on 7-16-2020. The park was 75% empty due to being a Thursday afternoon and the corona virus. Anyways, we pull up and walk to the buy a ticket at the outside ticket booth and their was NOBODY in line what so ever. I go and try to buy a ticket and the girl said You need to put a mask on or put a towel over your head. How in the Hell does this protect anyone when there is already a barrier between us and no one in line other than me? I asked her if this made sense and expressed how ridiculous this was. She said Sorry cant sell you a ticket rudely. We just left. The manager came out as I was taking pictures of the park and said I wasnt allowed to photograph the park. I commented about what just happened and he said everyone has to wear a mask when buying tickets, food or using the bathroom. I pointed out to him through the fence the line to use the bathroom and that no one had a face mask on. He just shrugged his shoulders and turned around. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PARK ANDI AM GLAD I DIDNT WASTE $100.00 I wouldve spent on tickets, food and drinks.

Not a bad place at all for taking young children and even early teens. If youre a young adult or seasoned adult there isnt much being offered but at the end of the day its more about the children I believe. The staff can be a little rude at times and certain rules such as climbing up ladders in the Wake pool are not listed anywhere but our ruthlessly enforced. I do not recommend you letting young children go down the main slide as my brother almost came off of it mid slide. Overall not a bad place to spend the summer.

This is likely the most pleasant time Ive ever had at a water park as an adult. No inappropriately dressed or behaved individuals like most parks end up having. The staff was pleasant, and the music was not abrasive. I went on a Monday, so it wasnt packed, and the line for the slides moves quickly. All in all, Id recommend this place for family fun with variety of features.

Overall, we had a good experience here today. For the location and size of the park, they actually have a lot of slides. But they had four of the closed today. I wish we wouldve known that before purchasing tickets or at least a discount. The lazy river was pretty fun, but I also would reccomend having someone organize the tubes properly. Not having them thrown all over the park. I was looking forward to a funnel cake, but I am assuming because of the virus, they only had one concession stand open. I like how you can just skip the line if you buy your tickets online and the slides were actually pretty suspenseful for it being a small waterpark. My husband and I really liked how this is a Christian based park. We enjoyed the bible verses here and there. We did not take our kids this time, but I cant wait to take them next time. As the kiddie area was very big! I do reccomend. I just wish we wouldve known about four of the slides being closed.

I went down one of the twisting water slides. As I was being slammed into a turn I saw a plastic barrier coming towards my face. I threw up my arm to protect myself. Upon exiting the slide I told my wife I got slammed into a hard plastic barrier on a turn. I asked what my arm looked like. Her face turned ashen and she said you need a doctor. I ended up getting stitches and still have a huge nasty scar on my forearm. If not for my reflexes in blocking, I would probably be dead or disfigured in my face.

Horrible experience- wear masks as you buy tickets, take them off as you walk through the doors, put masks on when standing in food lines, not water ride lines or swimming areas though. And if you dont have a mask, you cant by their ridiculously over priced refreshments, yet they have no masks for you to buy... They definitely have some marketing geniuses quarterbacking this organization.. Not to mention how run down the facility has become. And this is supposed to be a Christian organization, smh... More like people who portray themselves as good people just to rob you blind with no genuine care as to if you and your family have fun or an enjoyable experience at all... Christians, um I dont think so. We have gone here for years and gradually this place has gone down hill. This year we purchased season passes in January as a gift for my daughters b-day. Well then covid hit, ok not there fault I get that. The problem I have is they send out a message telling and every other customer to call the governor and tell them let us open, really? So they finally open 3 weeks after the initial start date did they send mass text for that nope. Did they offer any inventive for opening so late? Nope. Well I did talk to Christian who told me anyone who purchases season passes before June 10 when receive 3 $5 vouchers to use however they wanted! I know the least yall could do at this point. So when I finally go to activate my passes bought in January 5 days after my talk with Christian Im told ok how would you like those? Ill just take the vouchers well then some other girl says that promo ended yesterday. How convenient. Disgusting lazy river, no wave wave pool, boring activity pool. Broken concrete, beat up bottoms of pools. Skip this HORRIBLY run place head an hour down the road to HOLIDAY SPRINGS in Texarkana or even better A couple hours more to head to Magic Springs and Crystal Falls.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, NOT FAMILY FRIENDLYAfter all the mixed reviews, I decided to give it a try, being my first time going.I called the day before to make sure I understood the toddler time rules. I was told everyone on the party with the toddler(s) would pay $5. Then I asked what if I wanted to stay passed the toddler time for my older child. They told me just pay an extra $10 for everyone.I have 3 children, 2 of them under 5yo, and one 7yo. We drove 45 min to be there for toddler time, arriving at 10am. Guess what? the person at the ticket counter said the price was only for the children under 5 and a guardian. He also told me my older child would have to wait OUTSIDE the park until it opened at 11 to be able to go in. Seriously? so a family with toddlers and an older child cant enjoy being together for toddler time. I even asked nicely if we could just all go in and I would not allow my older child to get in the water until the park opened, and of course they said no.They called themselves a Family Waterpark. That is far from the truth. Will take my business where more flexibility is built into their customer service.

One of the worst water parks Ive ever been to! To start, the entire managerial staff sucked! No one was helping me with the birthday party I booked and accused me of being late, but I called (with no call back) to change the time when I was going to be there days prior. After that, I met a sweet young woman who was my birthday party host (She knew more about GUEST service and hospitality than anyone else there), she apologized for the confusion and served the pizza and cake. The pizza was not only greasy, but stale! The birthday party area has moldy tables and you can only use it for 45 minutes. NEVER BOOK A BIRTHDAY PARTY HERE.The rest of the day, I managed to get scraped and scratched when riding every slide at the park. The wave pool barely worked and the lazy river water is WARM. Who goes to a water park to take a bath? Nobody!SUMMARY : In conclusion, never ever waste your time or gas going to this park! They are rude to customers and managers are rude to their own staff. The food is not worth all the money and the admission is OVERPRICED. Youll be better off driving an hour or two more to go to the Canton, TX park!

We were driving from New Orleans to Dallas with 4 kids, all 8 and under and needed to take a break for the kiddos and this was perfect. Very reasonably priced because the main slide tower was not up and running, but we didn’t care and had plenty of other pools and smaller slides to play on during our quick 2-hour stop. The park is visibly in disrepair and needs a lot of maintenance done but honestly, for our needs it was fine. There was TONS of staff and lifeguards and we felt really comfortable giving the kids free reign. The biggest downside was the very hot concrete all over the park- getting from one attraction to another was painful on the bottoms of our feet. If they added trees for shade and landscaping, and did better maintenance on the slides and pools I would give this place 5 stars. However for the low price and the amount of fun everyone had it certainly deserves 4 stars.

Went to change clothes in the ladies room and there isn’t one dressing room door that has a latch. I found at least one toilet stall door with a latch but I’m not sure if there were any others. Bathroom was not clean. Apparently the men’s room wasn’t any better. A picnic table bench had a broken wooden bench. Lastly, there was random trash and food in various places. Overall the kids had fun and I don’t think they noticed- but these things are easily fixed and would the place feel more safe and pleasant.

Lets be honest....its the only water park in Shreveport and its definitely worth it but dont try to compare it to a big city park. $23rd for adults, less for the little ones, $5 off for military and they have Group on that saves you $25 for a family of 4. Im gonna give this place a 5 star because it plays Christian music, which is my favorite part about it. Also I like that its here in Louisiana and not far from home. Price of admission is pretty reasonable. The staff is friendly. Life guards seem to be pretty attentive. The things I think need to improve.... there is no locks on the doors to the toilet/changing room. For 1. I dont want to change my clothes where somebody has been peeing on the floor. 2. Where are you suppose to use the bathroom? Or better yet your kids, I know ideally at home, or somewhere else, but, I thought it was odd that when you were suppose to be in a private area you were not able to lock the door for privacy. Next thing is trip hazards, there are a few trip hazards around, my 9 year old actually tripped twice. Example is one of the covers for the pool skimmer or whatever it is, was crushed in, so its about an 8-10 inch hole just there. Overall its a good place, we have been a few times and will go back. Id just like to see some attention on these couple topics.

Review №94

Place is getting run down and we had DISAPPOINTMENTS GALORE. They actually closed the park down for the ENTIRE day AT just 12:30 pm, due to a storm moving through Shreveport. We went to eat at Wendys right near Splash Kingdom & before we were even done eating, the rain and sky were clear/sun shining. We were watching KSLA live weather radar while under cover at the park, as we waited for the all clear signal, and it was totally obvious, from viewing the tiny and very isolated storm spot on radar, that this would quickly pass over; looking West and SW, all looked clear in Texas entirety. Im frustrated that our 1 available day was swiped from us, we had a single day when ALL the adults in our family were off work AND when it was hot outside, PLUS wed spent time choosing a family-friendly activity for the holiday weekend. We were in the water about 45 minutes when they saw lightning and ordered us to seek shelter away from the water. They would NOT issue a refund for the ticket costs, their REMEDY for depriving us of our day of fun AND keeping our family activity funds was the option to bring the admission ticket back this Sunday or this Monday ONLY and get admitted without paying a fee. Why Monday or Sunday only, you ask? Well, BECAUSE the last day of the year Splash Kingdom is open is THIS 9-2-2019. Unfortunately the family isnt off & available on such short notice!! Tickets to enter this time of year cost $17 dollars per human, ages 3-130. We had a 3 yr old and a 5 yr old with us, and they dont ride slides yet or do/use any of the parks THRILL features, so for toddlers, Splash Kingdom is a huge waste of money, EVEN when the park doesnt CLOSE Completely, after scarfing down your familys holiday activity money. They should charge a reasonable fee like $8 for small kids ages 3-7, because you should quantify the value proposition, and make those persons who can experience VERY few benefits pay lots fewer dollars. The last problem, which is TOTALLY under the facilities control, so they CANNOT make a defense, is that after we had paid and were searched and passed through the entrance, a little gal informed each party that only the RIGHT HALF of the park was open for customer entertainment! What the heck???!!!! So, it turned out that management had prematurely shut down the lazy river AND the wave pool for the year. These relaxing and fun park attractions (rides that the two toddlers and our old granny and pawpaw are able to physically/emotionally tolerate and can enjoy doing WITH our tiny tots), while the teens & young parents climb many stairs & fly down huge slides, werent even an entertainment option on this ill-fated trip. Another thing that was frustrating was that the attractive cliff diving area, a section of the pool with rock features and high-dive rock platforms, was ALSO closed down, for no apparent good reason. I asked a guard about it & was told that the area requires a dedicated lifeguard for it to be open, but this weekend the guards were all assigned walking patrols, so no sitting at one guard tower station. This equates to a salary cost-saving feature, but it directly impacts guest satisfaction levels. When a facility reduces benefits solely for the sake of profit, it is on its way to being an unfeeling NATIONAL BANK-TYPE ENTITY (think Wells Fargo) instead of being a community-focused credit union type operation, where members and whats best for members families, is of primary importance. Overall, a very disappointing, sad and tedious experience without the fun that makes all the planning, costs and physical effort to get packed, loaded, travel, unload, stand in line, pay, stand in line again to be searched, enter park, haul your stuff to a table, unpack it, apply sun screen to eight bodies, put on swim shoes and hats & finally get over to the water and enter it. A lot goes into the preparation & execution of a group trip, so its a dang shame when the service provider doesnt understand that its a symbiotic relationship, one that they can be eliminated from by the discerning consumer!!
