We were looking for somewhere unique to visit for the beginning of the Halloween season. Mutiny did not disappoint. With the reasonable price of admission and friendly staff the trip was very enjoyable. The touch pools a very clean and interactive and the theming is perfect. Looking forward to our next visit in the near future.

The staff we encountered on 9/12/20 was great! They were so kid inclusive. The aquarium has lots of great things to see but not so much that you get overwhelmed or rush through because youre afraid to run out of time. The girl with dreads doing the excavation stuff was sweet and come over to interact with my grandson. The woman with the touch tank was giving very clear instructions to protect the animals as well and ensure involvement without being off putting. Protecting the animals is important to us so we appreciated her ease with directions to everyone. The young man doing the sting rays was full of energy and fun. The sting rays were def our favorite! Then we had an older gentleman with the jellyfish. He made you feel like you were on his porch learning about them. He cracked jokes and included everyone that came up. Some of the areas are small and could get congested easily but we will go back any chance we get.

Its small compared to the ones in larger cities, but nice. They sold bags of soil with gems inside to try sifting in the water trough. The man selling it was very friendly and joked about earning his degree in geology so he could sell overpriced bags of dirt. They had very nice, large pools for starfish, jellyfish and stingrays where you could touch them. The stingrays were particularly friendly and seemed to love the attention. I had to drag my daughter out of that room after an hour!

This was a great place to take our out of town family. Since I have lived in 7 states and California being one of them. This is a great reminder of the ocean for me when I miss it. It doesnt smell fishy. My husband used to have a salt water tank and instead of the high cost of keeping that in the house we can come here. I love being able to touch the different animals and seeing all the fish. Just a wonderful place. The staff is friendly, professional and have a wonderful personality. Thank you again.

Worst Aquarium Ive ever been to! Seriously a disappointment. Ive been to so many and this the absolute worst from entry price, features, tanks, all the way to down to the workers. Was told it would take upwards of 2 hours to walk through it completely, from time we stepped in and stepped out was 30 minutes. We didnt rush, we stopped and looked at EVERYTHING, did all the interactions, and took lots of pictures. I have 2 under 6 and a infant, its not exactly easy to do anything fast with little ones. $60 for 2 adults and 2 children was absolutely ridiculous for something so small. We were ignored by several workers and the ones that did answer had attitudes. Their was one worker and tank we really enjoyed, the interactive tide pool. The young guy on the other side was really nice, answered all of our questions and showed us some really cool little things. My husband and I hadnt said a word and the first thing out of my kids mouth was how short it was and how mad he was about it. Definitely dont plan on ever going back. Nor recommending to anyone.

Thought theyd have more candy for the kids for the Halloween deal. Couldnt even do the rock sifting after we paid all that money for our general entry tickets. What a great place! For a very reasonable price ($15 + tax), I spent about an hour wandering the halls of this small but jam packed aquarium. It was not busy at all. There was a small group of adults and kids that came in after me and it was nice to watch the kids have fun. Packed full of things that will set off your imagination. Some of the more interactive exhibits are closed now due to the virus, and the restaurant is temporarily closed. I wish they had some adult animal masks, but they dont. I would recommend this to everyone.

This aquarium was very nice. Not as big as some others I have been to. Ripleys aquarium in gatlinburg for example. But for the price the experience is great. Expensive,NOT WORTH the money,so tiny you go through it super fast. They also were super rude when I told the my daughter who just turned 3 was not supposed to wear a mask due to asthma. They pretty much said we don’t care, so we bought a overpriced one there that was huge. We walked through and had a employee tell my daughter to keep it over her nose. I said she can’t keep it over her nose then she replied yeah it just a kid thing, which really upset me because she had no control over it. She now is coughing because of wearing it. They had lots of stuff closed off but was still charging the same price. We will not be back and don’t appreciate them making my daughters fun day out hard on her. I get there are rules for adults/older kids but a 3 year old baby should not have to wear a mask especially one with health issues!!!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the aquarium. It was our first visit. It was fairly cheap! Adults 13-up $13, Kids 3-12 $9, Babies 0-2 Free. It was truly beautiful. You get to touch and interact with different types of creatures. They also have tunnels you can crawl in and take your picture inside the tank. You might get a picture with a shark. Very cool! Our favorite attraction was the sting ray pond. You can touch and feed them. My kiddos got to feed them, it was such a great experience for them! There are so many of them so you will have a chance to touch one! The area at the end of the tank is the designated toddlers area because it has a raised bed where they come up close to the edge of the water. There is also a restaurant attached to the aquarium called The Salt. We did not eat there, but maybe next time. All in all, it was an amazing experience! We will definitely return this summer.

Dont let the small size of this aquarium fool you. What it lacks in real estate, it makes up for in activities, exhibit quality, and the staff. This aquarium features tons of opportunities to touch starfish, stingrays, and other aquatic wonders. For a small fee in addition to the price of admission, you can also feed the stingrays. I fed them and have to admit that it was an odd but amazing experience. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the sealife at the aquarium. They were very enthusiastic as well and made learning fun for everyone. There is a restaurant and small gift shop on site as well. My family and I didnt eat at the restaurant, but it had a wonderful view overlooking the Red River. The gift shop had a number of unique items for sale. The best thing about the aquarium in my opinion is that they limit the number of people entering the exhibits every thirty minutes. This gives all visitors a chance to look at the sea life for a longer time and to touch, feed, and interact with them as well. Pirates and mermaids are on site at certain times, so check the schedule if you want to visit with them.Admission is reasonable and parking is available on site (small lot) and across the street in a parking garage.

Loved it. It had several touch areas. The scheduled visit time makes it to where your not crowded. My only hope is that later non scheduled visits during the weekend will be offered to keep spontaneous trips an option. They did let you get in line to purchase a ticket if they had space. I am from California and have been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This place is not huge like that, but this aquarium offers children and adults to experience sea life up close. There are many people here in Shreveport and surrounding areas that maybe cant travel to bigger city aquariums. Now we have it here, and thousands of kids will be able to touch sea life and see things for the first time live and up close. I know our school is already excited about our field trips here. They did an outstanding job. The other perk to coming here....no traffic to fight.

Reasonably priced, Not expensive. Its small compared to other Aquariums Ive been to in my life but I cant complain. Im happy that North Louisiana can have something like this and not have to drive 5-6hours to NOLAs Aquarium. Its RECOMMENDED that you reserve and purchase your tickets online. Which if you go during the week, its not too busy. We went on a Monday, wasnt crowded and we were able to go in before the time said on our tickets. You can also purchase Tickets at the door.Tour ended at the gift shop area and SALT restaurant which has all kinds of food and drink. You can pet them for free and its so cool. But spend the few bucks, put the minnow between your fingers and enjoy.Other than the rays, there are 3 other touch touch things. The tidal pool with star fish, sea cucumbers, and muscles. The cleaning shrimp and horseshoe crabs. And the Moon Jellies. With a little imagination, you can bounce ontop of a field of Jellies like Marlin and Dory. (Imagination because you have to be super gentle, but again, very satisfying). The employees all seemed to like their jobs.I wouldnt recommend a lot during the rona, but go there. The small crowd size makes it very personal and awesome!
