Affectionately called the duck pond. Multiple playground areas that the kids love to enjoy. Slightly dated and in need of cleaning but we still love to come here.
I Love the Duck Park! Be sure to bring bread crumbs.
Wonderful place for the family!! The ducks were pretty friendly too
Pretty and soooo many ducks to feed.
Perfect place to sit & relax with ducks or take a slow walk enjoying the peace, meeting for lunch at a shaded picnic table, or letting the kids play on the playground.
Nice park. Smells bad when water is low though.
Usually too crowded and full of riff raff for kids to actually enjoy playing
Well maintained and a nice place to take a walk or do a little fishing
Plenty of play equipment, benches, vantage points, trash cans (for the ones who use them), ducks to feed, and even turtles. Only 3 stars because its a bit worn, the crosswalk isnt the greatest, and there were some ants.
My grandson loved feeding the ducks
Great place. Very well fed ducks and geese -- they were not interested in my leftover fancy croutons or Zapps. I just wish people wouldnt trash the place.
This a nice park to take children to enjoy themselves. Also great for adults who enjoy nature. Ducks are out almost every time we visit. Love the atmospere.
Set up home to great place to take your kids to have fun and to wear them out so they can go to sleep I love Duck Park
Other than the ducks being there and the playground being decent is the reason I gave this place 3 stars. Its filthy with trash and old food. We didnt even stay for 30 minutes and it was so nice outside too. My kids and I are very disappointed.
Nice quiet spot to stop
I lve this park and so did my children ages 12, 5 and 4. The duck pond was beautiful and a great place for family photos. The have three seperate play areas one for very small children ages 1-4, an area for middle aged children ages 4-6 and an area for older children. My youngest two had fun at all 3 and my oldest stuck to the area for older children. The play areas are somewhat near the water but you can hang out between the play areas and the water if your concerned they run near the water. Platt areas have shredded tires (bits of lose rubber) as the flooring great for the children terrible if your in a wheel chair or have a hard time walking.
We went to feed the ducks and had a great time .. park was clean and beautiful
Nice place to go
Great place for the whole family to spend time together and have fun!!! Interactions with local wildlife that everyone can feed.
Great place to hang out, go on a walk with your date, take your kids, not too many people and very pretty ducks
Babygirl loved it
I love the duck pond! The playground equipment is suitable for all ages.
It has been a great place for the kids to play. The equipment is showing some wear and some signs of abuse. The bayou still makes for a beautiful relaxing backdrop. Great place to take a book and read on a bench on an overcast day. Nice breezes along the bayou.
Needs more maintenance, or should I say people should clean up after themselves
Great park! They have ducks! Geese! And parents and grandparents with little kids running around everywhere! My kids love this place! But best of all? THERE IS A FREAKING WHOLE LIBRARY FULL OF AMAZING BOOKS RIGHT NEXT DOOR!!!!! Why arent you there already?!
This park is.... functional I guess. Many functions of each set are broken. Such as steering wheels, portal views, and so on. It doesnt appear to be cleaned very often either. The rubber bark is all over the place where its not supposed to be, there is trash everywhere, and much of the benches are in disrepair. The bathrooms provided are absolutely disgusting as well. There is literally feces filling the toilets or spread all around them. It makes you regret ever walking in.Trash bins are frequently full. The only saving grace is the pond portion, which has plenty of ducks to observe and take pictures of.But there are FAR better places than this one to go to.
Always love strolling through the duck pond walking trail with family or friends. Playground equipment for very small children, as well as bigger kids
Decent place to play frisbee golf if you need a change from clyde fant. There is an equipment setup for small children. Not the best park in the world but far from the worst.
This is a great park. Locally it is referred to as the duck pond. There many ducks and several geese. Kids have a great time feeding the ducks and geese, then playing on the various age appropriate play qreas. There are places to just sit and enjoy nature and a large covered patio with multiple picnic tables.
Kids always love going here. Clean! Bring bread to feed ducks!
The Duck Pond is a must in Shreveport there are plenty of play equipment and swings for the little ones to play on. You can fish there and the ducks are so fun to watch and feed. I wish people would be less trashy when they visit here. Don’t leave your trash on the ground when there are trash bins everywhere. Don’t harass the ducks and stress them out. And please do not mess with the eggs. The last time we visited there was sewage spill and we could not stay. I hope they have fixed this!
Nice atmosphere. Quiet place. Just a good spot to enjoy.
Most awesome park in the world
This has always been one of the nicer parks, lately though the water has been terribly polluted and there is a family of nutra rats that live here. Still nice, just not as nice.
This used to be a really great park until a certain clientele discovered it and started coming. Now the park stays in shambles and has all sorts of litter strewn about on the grounds and even in the water. If said clientele would only throw their trash into the many provided containers this place would be nice again.
Great park. Had fun feeding the ducks and turtles. Very family friendly.
My kids love the ducks and the playground. I love it because there is a lot of places for the adults to sit and watch their children play.
Great place to congregate with fellow Sporters; pokemon go stops here, friendly waterfowl (please feed them bird seed or fresh fruits/vegetables)
Relaxing place to take kids to play or picnic
Nice park.
Gr8 place to relax and let the kids play
Awesome check it out
Its not as clean as it could be
Great place for a date. Gave a 4 because in the summer the flies get pretty bad if you bring food.
Noce little park for kids. Slides, seesaw, swings to help children enjoy. Ducks in the pond add to its beauty and attraction. Moderstely enough parking space. Restrooms dirty and ill maintained.
It was a beautiful pond setting where you could feed the ducks, geese and fish. It was lots of run and very very relaxing. There is also a playground area here for kids and there are also barbecue grills where you can have a cookout. It is a wonderful fun place for the whole family.
Wear protective clothing and mosquito repellent. Popular with young families, the Duck Pond is a small neighborhood park, located next to a little stream. Located on part of an old river, which used to flow to Natchitoches, before Captain Henry Shreve cleared the Great Red River Raft in 1838.
Went for the jazzfest, had a wonderful time.
Beautiful scenery and shade to escape the bright sunshine
Had a great time with grandson
Fed the Duck for the first time and They were hungry. I enjoyed myself.
My grandson loves all of the ducks.
I like bc my kids are different age so it was like a park for them to play at 3 different ones
Grew up there. The Duck pond
Nice park on bayou. Swings and lots of other playground for kids. Dont forget to feed the ducks!
Great fun park for the kids
Peaceful. Feeding the ducks is a joy.
A lovely little playground by a duck pond. It was very beautiful and perfect temperature. Someone tore out most of the bushes where the ducks used to make their nests and raise their young. There were very few ducks and geese than years past and we didnt see any ducklings.
This is a great getaway for little kids to explore and play and fun for adults to take a short break from the hustle and bustle of every day life and busy times to walk the dogs.
Bathrooms are beyond disgusting! There was pooh everywhere in both bathrooms so we had to leave to find acceptable facilities for my son.
This is a great park to take children to. The children all play together. There are benches for parents. They have shreds of rubber on the playground area. This park is commonly called The Duck Pond or Park because you can feed the ducks and occasional goose. They come right up to you and will take it out of your hand if you dont throw it fast enough. Surprisingly, some people also fish here. Convenient parking and quite easy to find. My husband and I have also gone during the week at lunch time to with takeout food. Its usually nice and quier then unless its sumnertime.
Great food
Kid tested mom approved
Fun and relaxing place to go with the family
Get place for kids and dates. Lots of ducks to feed bread and benches to sit.
Cool place to hangout with family.
The Duck Pond had been around since I was a child. The equipment has changed, but the park is still the same. This is a lovely park in a great location. There are covered seating areas to eat lunch or relax and the bathrooms are kept relatively well maintained. The Broadmoor Library is in walking distance of the park, so if you want to cool off on hot day you can pop in there and borrow a book. I enjoy taking my nephew here on weekends so he can run and play with the other kids.
This is a nice little place. There is a covered pavilion with picknick tables, equipment for kids, benches close to the pond, and lots of ducks. If you play Pokemon Go there are two poke stops and a gym here. It is also within easy walking distance to the library. I see young and adult fisher folk looking for a bite occasionally if they can convince the ducks they arent there to feed them. The equipment is really for toddlers and not covered in any way but overall a nice little place to relax especially if you have little ones.
Good place to bring little kids or hit up the Pokemon stops.
Kid friendly and clean and safe environments
Beautiful park with tons of play equipment and a nice pond full of ducks! My toddler loves it here and I do too. There are a lot of nice shaded areas and so much play equipment to choose from that even on a busy day it doesnt feel over crowded.
Very nice place for family and kids
The kids love coming here, its always clean.
Very quiet and peaceful
Fun place sucks are cool watch out for the geese
My 20 month grandson loves this park
Love to feed the birds
Been goin there all my life, its s great place!
I have always loved the park. I love taking the kids to feed the ducks and play on the playground. Its a great little place thats always been there........ longer than I can remember. My husband went there when he was a boy,(hes 54) I took my son there when he was a small child,(hes 31) and I recently took my grandchildren there. They loved it!
Great place for the family
Kids loved this park
We enjoy feeding the ducks and relaxing here
Had a nice time here...
Absolutely love this place. Great place for kids to interact with other kids.
Multiple playground structures, swings, and baby swings. You can feed ducks and geese! We even saw a beaver! The bathroom has no interior or exterior doors. It would be great if someone greased the swing attachment points because they are very squeaky.
Great place for pets and children
It was a wonderful place to play and enjoy the outdoors. Not crowded at all and relatively clean. Our new favorite place.
Kids had a great time
I loved this place!
Nice park. Dog friendly with leash law.
