Nice, clean. Just passing through Shreveport and stopped to eat lunch there. Quiet place.

My kids love this place and during the summer their camp brings them swimming. Cheap to swim as well!

Southern Hills Park is very family friendly park and the kids actually have something nice to play with and play on. My kids really enjoy playing at this park.

Good place to go for a walk with my dog. Not everyone picks up after their dog but most of us do.

It has always been a great park, however, the internet states the park is open, took my babies and the park is still closed. The parking lot has not been redone there are huge pot holes. Not what it use to be.

Quite place to walk. People are courteous. However, people with dogs need to clean up their mess when they go.

This is a nice park for the kids. I enjoyed walking the track and how big the area was. Looks like they have a decent pool over there as well.

Great park for sports and exercise. Very popular with the local residents. One of Shreveports best.

Its a shame the way people leave trash at our parks. There were crawfish shells all over the picnic tables and on the ground.

Great facilities, plenty of parking, and the new playground is a hit with my son. Tennis courts are very well maintained. The pool looks like it would be terrific... but from year to year, I dont know when it will be open.

Im 35 ive been going to this place since i was a teenager, the only thing i didnt like is them cutting all the trees down! Other than that great staff, great facility & atmosphere

Nicely shaded walking path, new playground, and well maintained sports fields. It was a very nice experience.

Good experience at the recreation center and the pool. Went to family reunion here. Very accommodating for a party of about 250. Also like the pool set up. It is a large pool with a larger portion that is just 4ft. This was great since I have 3 children that are not strong swimmers. This allowed me to supervise them without having to worry about them swimming away to far. Anyway great experience. The only noticible issue was the diversity as far as lifeguards go. There was 3 I noticed and they were all none people of color. Not sure if they have a variety on another day. Aside from this the staff of this recreation center appears diverse. Overall, great experience.

A little gem on this side of town. Brand new equipment. Great for toddlers.

The pools are clean, very well maintained area..but most of all the lifeguards are AWESOME!!!..Very helpful & friendly.

We went for the Music in the park festival. They had activities for the kids and live bands there to perform. They had tons if food vendors. It was a great event.

Friendly rec center, good tennis courts and walking trail

Noticed trash needs picked up around the parking lot. People are too lazy to walk to the trash cans, which looked empty. The parking lots needs repair, as there are many potholes. Other than that, is a clean park and well kept grounds. Also a new playground and equipment.

Its really sad to see this place in this shape. I used to come here as a child and now that I have kids I brought them here. Never again. Theres so much trash everywhere, everything is broken, and they cut down the wooded area next to the park. I really wish city officials were as concerned about the up keep of the city as they are about filling their pockets. Dogs have a better and cleaner park than this. Seriously, its by Stoner boat launch.

Nice place to exercise. Once around the park is a mile plus it has a small exercise facility.

My 2yr old granddaughters 1st visit...we had a great time!

I come here for the walking trail and occasionally the gym. The trail is nice, though a lot of the distance markers have seemed to have disappeared, which is unfortunate. The gym is small, but its free, so its not too bad for what it is. Has about 6 treadmills, a free weight rack, two weight benches, and a few other machines. I believe they also offer some types of classes, but I havent looked into the schedules.

Nice people working there. The work out rooms a bit sparse but they have everything you need and its free. Who can complain?

Fun 4 da fam

I love the line dance class. Polly is a wonderful teacher. I get exercise without being bored. They have a workout room with weights and treadmills. Best of all the facility is free and so are the classes.

This is a great Park to take morning walk at 4:05 in the morning and you can feel safe plus they have a weight Center there and an outdoor pool so good place to take your kid swimming this summer

Very nice place kids and adults as well. All kind activities are available ( like tennis, football, playground, swimming pool, jogging, and more)

Long walking trail (though part if it goes over roads), fantastic facility - clean! Ballpark, pool w slide...this is the place to be for anyone w kids.

This is a lovely place to take a 5 Mile Walk and they have a park there for the kids can play while youre exercising I will give it a 4.5

Great pool ! Its very clean and large enough to where it doesnt ever seem packed ! Nice slide for children and adults ! Nice kiddie pool with waterfall ! Great lifeguard staff everywhere ! And last but not least CHEAP and not to costly ! I will definatley be returning
