This was my 1st time here and the majesty of this historic building was breath taking. The only downside was will call. Buying on-site is better.
Great historical venue. Tight seats if you are tall or large. Free parking is awesome.
Not to much too choose from snack wise the seating picture was deceiving we got orchestra seating which looked to be on floor but wasnt the seats were so small everyone was on top of one another my poor husbands knees were in the seat in front of us and hes not even that tall. Bathrooms smelled horrible. Only good thing was the staff.
Saw one of my favorite artists here. Seen them multiple times before. Seats all around are great, but the acoustic here are terrible. Great show, awful sound.
Beautiful place. Lighting was gorgeous. The only problem I had were the fold-out chairs. So close together.
I VERY NICE PLACE TO ATTEND EVENTS THEY HAVE ALL KINDS OF EVENTS AND CONCERTS THERE ME ND MY CREW DO CLEANING THERE
Its close to the public right now seems.
Historical auditorium with great acoustics. Smallish place with great seating no matter which section. Jack White was unbelievable. One of the best concert experiences...period.
Great place to see a concert!
Great venue overall. A little cramped on the seating but great view!
Foreigner concert was great and this was a great place to have it. Very clean and seats are closer to the stage.
Did not get to go inside. It was closed. Loved taking photos here.
Awesome venue!! Not a bad seat in the house! Great for any type of show!
Great venue with lots of history! The acoustics are amazing as was Alison Krauss!!
The historical value is priceless. I mean its where Elvis was introduced to the world when he performed on the Louisiana Hay Ride. Its where the phrase, Elvis has left the building! was created. You have to see it in person
Loved this venue! First time there and I will definitely being going back!
Seen swan lake( russian ballet) and building is full of history
Nice venue and great variety of shows. Also love the extensive parking available.
Theres no bad seats. You can see everything. No privacy in the bathroom though. I wouldnt do #2 there
Had an awesome timeGreat lighting, seating and sound quality.
We had the best time at the Willie Nelson concert. I love the historical nature of the building and seating. The auditorium warm and inviting. All the staff we spoke to were incredibly helpful
Very historical landscape!!!! I was there for the 85 South Show and it was my first time in Shreveport, Louisiana. Spacious, and BIG and they have several different consession stands as well
Great historic venue, not a bad seat in the house for any show
I love visiting this historic venue! The architecture is beautiful, and lately there have been some amazing concerts at the Municipal: Alabama Shakes, Leon Bridges, Jason Mraz... And those are just the ones Ive been about to attend! If you havent made it to this gem of Shreveport, you should put it on your short list and make a priority.
Nice historic venue, great acoustics. Floor seating is very cramped.
Beautiful venue with great acoustics. Not a bad seat in the entire place. Leg room can get a bit cramped the higher in levels you get.
Historical Place, but in a part of town where there is drive-by shootings and high crime. I dont feel safe when I am in this area.
Mike Epps was funny as hell on his funny as ish tourr
Visited for the kevin gates concert had a great time
I love the history and character of this venue. There is not a bad seat in the house, and for someone who doesn’t like huge crowds, the size is just right. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed the venue. It does have stairs. The elevator is available it just takes more time. All angles were good viewing.
Love this venue...easy to get to and parking is free and easy! The staff is friendly and helpful, and there is really no bad seat.
Was good wish seat were big love the concert and history
Nice experience for a good price. There was a fire hazard though water coming out of one of the light fixtures. Could not of imagine a emergency happening with all those people.
LOVED THE BRING IT LIVE TOUR THERE
The remodels have made this place even better
First time here........my daughter ycp class graduation was an experience with so many viewable seats.
Great concert venue not a bad seat in,the place
Had a great time at the David and Tamela Mann concert held at the Municipal Auditorium. Great show and facilities were very accommodating, clean, and friendly staff. A historic place that always feels majestic to visit.
Love this place. Such a historical experience
This place has so much history its unbelievable
SOMETHING TO DO.. ENTERTAINMENTS, SIZE N FUN
Nice performance venue.... have one invite lots of people :-)!youll enjoy it
Great venue. Historical and well kept.
Beautiful. Nostalgic. History.
Wonderful and beautiful historic venue for all kinds of shows. Great acoustics. Needs an improved parking setup. Floor seating too close together, uncomfortable.
One of Shreveports true gems. Historical significance is staggering. Do a tour, you will be so glad you did. I have seen several shows here and it might be my favorite venue Ive been to.
A very good place to watch a concert. I have health issues and they are very mindful and helpful for my handicap.
Our seats in the corner were terrible, plus they blocked the aisle going up with a spesker.
I went to a concert here I had an awesome time
I went to 85 south show and I enjoyed myself. Although they did start later than expected, I would see chico, DC & Karlous anytime. I drove 3 hours just to come see my favs perform.
Amazing experiences and wonderful talent.
Great place we went and seen Modest Mouse and Queens of the Stone Age here. All around great personal venue with a big time feel.
The Municipal has been a hot spot for music for many years, but has seen a revival of shows since its been renovation a few years ago. Parking is available in the surrounding area the stairs and steps to the seating on the upper tier is really steep, which is something to be aware of when buying your tickets. Its haunted, so dont be in there by yourself!
Great place to watch performers.
Cool old building. not a bad seat, really. lots of stairs.
I was walking up to section. M. And did not notice that the ceiling was lower and l clunkers my head as l was leaving .There could be something there to warn you, maybe like some yellow stripes or maybe some words to earn you. It would have been appreciated.
Event for Veterans was wonderful. Love that they keeping this historical building maintained and full of events.
Went for the Ghost tour had a great time. It had been 20 plus years since i had been inside. It is a wonderful place.
Wonderful performance from some very talented kids
Beautiful place. Well kept
Beautiful, historic landmark. The era must have been a great time in Shreveport. It is crazy haunted. Today, two coworkers and I walked through an open door, turned around, it was shut, latched, and locked. This happened in the basement.
Good place to watch a concert
Seats seriously need to be spaced and more Comfortable. Its hard trying to sit Comfortable between FAT PEOPLE, YOU cant even ENJOY the Concert. Seating TOO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER.
Got to go inside and see the little museum where famous musicians played here...neat experience. Got to see the autotorium but couldnt get on stage because they were doing test lights on the stage for a concert that evening but it was all pretty cool time. Didnt cost nothing.
Enjoyed but not a place for a blues concert need to be able to enjoy the entertainment and dance with the stars..
Like the set up of stage view; parking accessibility in walking distance
Beautiful and incredible theater or Auditorium whatever
Super cool venue. Been to 2 concerts there and had a blast both times.
Fun to visit. Love the statues out front!
Wonderful place. The upgrades are fantastic.
Went to see Willie Nelson & was very good.
85 south show was great!
Went there for my sons Graduation from Youth Challenge. It was a great experience!!!!!!
Very historic love the old jail down in basement. Love the staff. Love the shows.
Friendly staff (at United desk and security) and small airport so relatively quick. 5 minutes walk from several nearby hotels.
Seats are awful tight, if long legged go for the expensive seats, ballet was great
Seating is not designed for tall people.
Nice Historical building. Small venue making getting close to the artist a plus. Plenty of places to get a drink or snack. The sound is awful. Very distorted. Cant hear artist very clearly. Need to update their equipment.
The concert I attended was great. Overall good experience. The only downside was how close the seats on the floor were. In the future I will purchase the seat next to mine to have some breathing room.
Nice cozy place for a concert or play, historical place so dont expect anything new. Plenty of parking. Floor seats could be bigger and better.
Beautiful place and I love that it was redone.
Enjoyed the show. Great audio and viewing- Comfortable seating in Orchestra area. Only issue I had was sitting near concessions--- the door opened and the fried smell was overwhelming.
Has a great history but has declined. Bad part of town. Elvis has left the building.
