Nice place to take our granddaughter, lots of room for kids to run and play. Just remembered to take hand sanitizer with you because Im sure they dont spray down the playground equipment.

TOOK ME A NICE 2 TO 3 MILE WALK OUT THERE WHILE MY LIL SON WENT FISHING I WOULDNT WENT A FEW MORE MILES BUT IT WAS TIME TO GO ITS VERY VERY NICE PLACE TO BRING FAMILY ND FRIENDS OUT FOR PARTIES GATHERINGS BIKE RIDING JOGGING OR WHATEVER I ENJOYED WALKING THERE

This is a very peaceful and well kept park, we had a picnic and there were plenty of tables and trees for shade. There are also wonderful views of the lake... and a boat launching dock... would definitely be back when Im in town!

My little 6 year old cousin had a ball playing soccer at the park. It was quiet and very peaceful. Later, we went to the boat launch and fed the ducks. It was a fun filled activity that only cost a few sore muscles.

Great disc golf course with a variety of hazards and mandatories. A few long four par holes and a few tunnels. There is also plenty of benches, tables, and a public restroom. One of the best courses in the area. Also pleasantly mowed.

In my opinion, Ford Park is one of, if not the best park in Shreveport. Its on Cross Lake. Perfect for picnics and walking or just hanging out. I would love to see The City of Shreveport have a summer concerts in the park, like most cities I travel to.

Wish they had a basketball goal, but other than that it was fine. If you play disc golf, it would be a great place to go.

On the East side of the park (The lake side) The pavilions need roof repairs. They took out the bridge. The small peninsula could stand to be cleared of growth. On the West side. The old train, fire truck and tank are just sitting there rusting. They need to be repaired/restored. If you play Frisbee Golf, they have a course. I dont play, but I do see other people out there. They seem to be having fun. This park doesnt seem to be taken care of as it should.

This place brings back so many memories of when I was little. I love going there wit my family to play baseball in the fields. Or celebrating birthdays, flying kites, having a BBQ, or just to jog around the trails.

This a nice park to spend the day at with the kids. It is kept very clean, the pavilions are in a good order as well.

This is a great place to have family get togethers and cook outs. It spacious enough that several families can be in the same vicinity and not get into each others space. Also security rolls through periodically for security purposes.

Im giving this park 2 stars. This park is a very nice area for large gatherings and is very shaded from the sun. The issue I have is the play area for the kids. Well its HORRIBLE! The equipment is very outdated. This is probably the same play equipment that was there when i was a kid and coming back as an adult, you would think its updated. The paint is chipping, the slides are rusted, the swings make this loud excruciating noise because its rusted, and some swings are missing. This is sad, but yet Betty Virginia is updated every so often.

The disc golf course is nice, but a physical map at the start would be helpful.

The restrooms need to be updated

Wonderful Park we held our Family Reunion there. Only downer was the ants that bit some members of the family.

Its a long-standing park not a whole lot of activities to offer but we like to fish although the docks are no longer there

Outdated play ground. Faded, worn out. Metal was rusting. The grounds were clean and well kept. Lots of people using areas. Bathrooms coulda used a little attention but nothing terrible.

So someone said ford park would be a great place for a picnic and kayak trip on the east side of the park near the lake so thought I would check it out after work at 5:30 pm. Well must have been a couple of hundred young adults partying, blocking the roads, throwing trash all over, riding on car hoods. Not the peaceful park I was expecting. I called the cops so they could make rounds inside this park. I hope this was a one time thing but it was awful. Not good when you don’t feel safe at a park.

Its a nice place if you just want to take a nice walk or jog. You can play frisbee with friends or even bring your dogs along so they can get out and enjoy the scenery.

Hated seeing people trash on the water edge. There a walkway I walked on saw beer cans and bottles. Dont put your trash in natural habitat. Lets keep all Louisiana lakes clean from litter.
