Beautiful well kept historical monument. Very informative. Great place to take photos.
This was a super spontaneous decision but Im so glad that we visited! So much interesting info! Loved seeing how the old pumps worked in the water works museum. We enjoyed admiring all the old engineering and trying to figure it out without reading and asking questions but anytime we had a question the lady was right there and was full of useful info. I appreciate the volunteers and people who donate that keep this place running.
The museum is full of personal pieces of railroading history and a very cool model train
Despite the museums small size, it has lots of interesting things and is very informative. And its free. Well worth taking out the time in the middle of the day for a visit, along with the waterworks museum on the same property. It conveyed very well the feel of passenger train travel before air travel.
Great way to see the past well preserved. Curator had excellent knowledge, good sense of humor, great with children
Amazing how much information can be packed into a small space. Wonderful place to visit!
Small free museum (donations accepted and appreciated). Interesting photos of the local rail. Good collection of paraphernalia, could use a dusting.
Interesting museum. Lots of history. Small but a must visit place.
Fairly small, one train car type room; but packed with tons of interesting historical artifacts, photos, facts and details posted and displayed. The room is welcoming/inviting. My 9 year old granddaughter enjoyed immensely. The best part was the giant display at the end. Children of all ages (myself included) enjoy pushing the button to bring the electric toy train alive and watch it race all around a beautiful, miniature city with mountains and bridges, and a scenic background. We went to the Waterworks Museum next door first, and found both museums interesting and enjoyable. Admission is free to both, with optional donation boxes urgently available.
Great place for people that loves trains
Absolutely loved it! Great information and free exhibits.
It was very informative. Kinda small
Small but full of interesting and well displayed items.
Great little museum. Although very small, it has big interest.
Great historical information
Not 100% what I was expecting but no the less it has a ton of information packed into a small space. Worth looking at.
Very small but informative. Love the water works next door.
Great historical museum. At least, everyone from Shreveport should see it. It is their history.
This museum is with the water museum.
I come from a Railroad Family, so this was really memorable!
Really cool place.
