Awesome place. Great exhibits. Free to public.
The Meadows Museum is tucked into the campus of Centenary College of Louisiana. Though it is small, it is well-curated and seems to have found its niche among larger museums around the south. I visited the Awkward Family Photos exhibit and enjoyed a laugh-out-loud experience! While there I also took in a moving photographic exhibit featuring creole architecture in Haiti. The Meadows has a number of rotating exhibits showing throughout the academic year and is closed in the summer. If you are visiting the Centenary campus or Shreveport in general, I highly recommend you stop by and see whats showing! Additionally, opening nights usually feature a fun cocktail reception with a cash bar, plenty of free food, and various lecturers or curators of the exhibits.
Nice collection of art. Small museum on a nice college campus. Id definitely recommend seeing it.
Great place to visit!
Loved the artwork! Its a small building but it makes for a great setting to experience fantastic art.
Awsome place
This was absolutely the most disappointing museum Ive visited. I was told by the front desk assistant that people have said this is comparable to the Louvre located in France. I was deceived and felt robbed. Never returning, 10/10 would not recommend for the blind.
I work at Centenary
