Love the park. Theres a friendly, regular group of dog owners that go there daily. While I bring my dogs to the park for small dogs, you tend to see a group of larger dogs that go there regularly, and theres been zero issues so far. They keep the park clean and theres always balls and other toys there for the dogs to play with.

The majority of the people and dog are awesome. The dog parkneeds work with all the snow and rain the trees are all out if the ground cause trips and fall. The water has been broken since January with no fixing in the near future. The benches are coming out of the ground. Needs work.

Nice concept but needs more maintenance. The woods go right up to the fence line and the grass isn’t cut, so it’s tick city.

Absolutely beautiful dog park. Neighbouring towns dog parks are mostly small, fenced in areas (typically covered with a cheap mulch) with nothing more than a bench or two.Sheltons park has a very creative, spacious design with all sorts of unique features for dogs to enjoy. My favorite part of the design is that it incorporates dozens of mature trees which gives it a very cozy, sheltered feel.

It was a smaller than some bigger than others but nice segregated park little and bigger dogs in places. I wish they had a working fresh water source. I found some empty steel bowls but left my water back at the car. I didnt want them drinking from the pond. There was shade and places to sit, for humans, in the shade. Overall this place has most of what your looking for - get there early or late to have the place to yourself.

Nice little neighborhood park. I come here almost daily with my daughter. It feels very safe and clean. Dogs play in the fenced in area. We spend some time in the garden by the road then hike to Hope Lake, which is about half a mile from the park entrance. The park connects to various hiking trails and generally a very pleasant place to be. Theres a nice trail by the lake with nice views and opportunities to bird watch and fish.

I brought my Dog here last week with my 11 year old daughter. It was a huge MUD PIT!!! There were 3 much much much bigger dogs which is fine but the owner wasn’t watching them at all & they cornered my dog.We were only there 10 minutes or less & we left COVERED in mud!!

We have been taking out dog to the Shelton Dog Park about a month now. He loves it and we get to meet a lot of folks from around the area. We have found that mornings and late afternoons are the best time for a romp with other dogs. Mid day you will usually be there by yourself. It can be very muddy when its wet. All in all a good place to go.

Great open area for play. The park has a side for smaller dogs and larger dogs. Neutering or spaying is a must. The crowd seems good around the afternoon on the weekends and after work on the weekdays. There are waist bags throughout the park and running water near the entrance. Only downside is the place can get pretty muddy when its rained. There is plenty of shade for the dogs during the hotter months.

Best dog park Ive been to in the area! There are two faced in areas, one for small dogs (under 25 pounds) and one for big dogs. Its great for working on socializing my rescue pup, because shes small enough that we can take her on whichever side is less crowded. And if she gets overwhelmed or is too scared to go in at all, we can go for a nice long hike on the trails nearby! The big dog side is huge and full of trees and toys, small dog side is smaller (about the size of the Milford dog park) but still fun. Only problem is, people dont always pick up after their dogs, so watch where you step! Especially on the small dog side.
