They required mask, and only let the people in as they were being served. Good covid measures. My representative was very informative. Gave me the maps and circled exactly what I needed. Was very pleased.

Beautiful scenery, lovely shops, but not enough parking. One of the things we really wanted to see was the chapel of the Holy Cross. No place to park. Very disappointing.

The woman that helped us at the visitor center (didnt catch her name, sorry) was so informative and friendly! We asked about hiking trails in the area and she started telling us about them but upon noticing my 8 year old was with us, she shifted gears and grabbed a special list and map that is tailored to paths well suited for young hikers. Very much appreciated and lots of research time saved! Side note - hike turned out great thanks to her!

People there are nice, but not know much of how the park passes around Sedona area. Have to go to the actual park to find out how different type of passes works.

The city was absolutely nothing but traffic jams, every restaurant, store whatever basically pricing what they believe, which was way too high and, biggest disappointment 2 days trying to get downtown and couldnt because of the traffic congestion. Ended up getting a free parking by coming to downtown early, but was a half hour over my stay because we did the Pink Jeep tour and the women wanted to do a little shopping after that. Was given a $40 parking ticket for staying too long in the Free lot. Not a way to welcome guests and tourist to your tow.BTW, seen the Free parking sign, but DID NOT see the 3 hour limit in small print.

They said due to covid all I could do is take one magazine. If I were to open a business here....THEY DID NOT ACT LIKE THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.Not helpful, paranoid I might touch something and informed me it was 750 dollars to sterilize. Go to any hotel lobby has more info than they gave me.

DO NOT CONFUSE WITH OTHER VISITORS CENTERS. We were looking for this place, and accidentally found a timeshare visitors center where we received a high pressure sales pitch (we walked out after 30 minutes). The Chamber of Commerce Visitors center is FANTASTIC. It’s staffed by great volunteers with name tags identifying them as such. They provided great information and concerns about visiting the Grand Canyon and different parts of the area. It was raining that day, so they provided us with phone numbers to call the Grand Canyon to see if the canyon was fogged over and provided us with alternative options should the weather not cooperate. Also, they did not try to sell us anything. They were also concerned with our safety. We asked about wading into the river and were informed that the rain could cause 6 foot tall waves that could endanger us. These topics were not discussed at the timeshare visitors center. We would highly recommend the Chamber of Commerce!

This is the worst visitors center Ive ever experienced. Everyone was so rude, and unhelpful. If this is any indication of what the state of Arizona is like, Im going to avoid it all together!

I had a very unpleasant experience. Called to ask about parking or alternate option for soldier pass trail. Upon calling, I was told to just come in and they did not want to talk about trails over the phone. I then explained I had a simple question. To which she responded, “If the trailhead is full you just need to find another trail. It’s Easter season things will be busy.” The tone was not friendly or inviting towards tourism, and made me feel like a burden. I do not normally write poor reviews but this encounter made me feel horrible.

Niece and nephew love playing concerts on the outside xylophones. I liked that a staff member pointed out the view of Snoopy Rock from the visitor center outside patio. Post cards and more. Welcoming attendants. ARCO gas station nearby, hint they price lower than competition.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. We showed up looking to buy a park pass and they confirmed what we wanted to do before telling us we definitely wouldnt need a pass, so they saved us $5! We were given a map and had a very simple and clear route drawn out for us covering a few scenic points and a nice shopping area for us to pass the day. Will definitely go back for more ideas if we find ourselves in the area again.

Art was a real jerk when we asked for advice about what to see in Sedona. His response was that it was spring break. His attitude was like we were stupid to be here during this time of year. When we asked him about places to go again, he said wed be lucky to find a place to park. I get it. Its spring break & busy. But he could have told us all that information without being so condensending & rude. My first trip to Sedona and my first introduction was Art. Not a great way to be greeted by someone from the chamber of commerece.

WARNING: Speed Trap CityEntering Sedona for the first time, the speed limit made an unusual drop. I drove 10 mph over for about 1000 feet and was instantly pulled over by a hidden police car and received my very first ticket, for 10 mph over. Zero tolerance and no questions asked. The police in my city help confused tourists and give them warnings. Not in Sedona. I think Sedona police are just out there make money off the tourists.P.S. I wont be back.

I asked about areas where I could walk down to the creek, and told the male senior citizen that I was handicapped. He gave me poor non specific directions that took me a while to find on a very confusing map, and once I arrived at the creek there was not safe area for me to walk to the creek. I traversed the parking lot that bordered the creek and it was all steep- dangerous-loose-dirt-embankment. These people take no consideration for the disabled. If I would have tried to walk down to the creek I would have certainly have fallen.

Lots of free publications with great information. The woman that helped us was wearing a mask as were we. We are primarily interested in hiking, so she had a great map and a hiking guide she gave us. Highly recommend spending 5 or 10 minutes there before heading out to explore one of the most magical, beautiful places in the world.
