I am a full time professional mural artist who travels the world, year-round, creating what I call “Handwritten Murals.” A majority of the murals I create are “World Peace Murals,” so when I stumbled across this park I knew I had to stop by for a while and soak in the peaceful vibes. I really enjoyed hanging out, hiking the trails, meditating, and walking around the stupa. I’ll definitely be back. PEACE!!!!
Whats a stupa?Sacred stupas have graced the earth for over 2,600 years. Stupas are the physical embodiment of the Buddhas enlightened mind. Their blessings are immeasurable. Their presence, extremely rare in the West. This place is a sacred landmark. Its open to everyone and theres a lot of additional info about it on site. One of the markers asks you to walk around the stupa 3 times, clockwise and pray for your loved ones or you can find a cozy corner and meditate. Its a very beautiful, peaceful & special place.Located just beyond a residential neighborhood its open from dawn to dusk. Theres plenty of designated parking for visitors and if the lot happens to be full you may park on the street. There are also many hiking trails surrounding this place and you can hike in every direction. We hiked here for a few hours and I suggest the Thunder Mountain Trail.
A must see. Very zen calming spiritual place.Come with a gift offering and donate .
I wanted nothing more than to love this place but it was nothing like I expected. Sedona is full of tourism and this place unfortunately is used as just another photo op . A line just to take a picture with a Buddha statue, WOW !The energy was so negative.. A lady that was there took it upon herself to go around and tell people what they should and should not be doing including YELLING at my husband. (Not very peaceful, huh?!)I wanted it to be peaceful, I wanted to clear my mind and have a moment to feel released from all the pressures in life . Instead I couldn’t get out of there fast enough . The negativity is heavy !! It very well could of been just a bad day there but it wasn’t worth dealing with the traffic . The scenery is beautiful, it’s breath taking but again it wasn’t worth feeling the way we did once we left . The confrontation left such a bad impression it weighed heavy on us the next day. I guess I just can’t relate to that type of behavior in such a scared environment.Unfortunately we have no control over the energy that others possess and radiate so all I can say is go with a positive, loving vibe . I hope your experience is better than ours.
The Peace Park is the perfect place for solitude. I loved how quiet it was. It is a wonderful spot for meditation and reflection. I would highly recommend this area for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. As a reminder, since it is a place of peace, please be mindful of those who are meditating, or enjoying the quiet.
This is a place to meditate. Dog’s allowed just in case you have one.
If you wanted a very very short trail, you can go at place but you need to pay your respects and be silent. This place is holy and sacred regardless of you religion. The least you can do is to read, pray and meditate for awhile. And it has a trail that leads to the Thunder Mountain trail. I love the view that we got from here. Everything is so relaxing and peaceful.
Its a beautiful place to be, or just to go and get away from all the noise of everyday life and recenter your self. Definitely a great idea to take the family there -#MikeG #ReelTalksWithMikeGizzle
Very peaceful and nice location, surrounded by red rocks . A little hike but it’s worth it once up there .. if someone is old then they might have some trouble walking up the hill which is not paved properly, so use caution ..
Beautiful place. Went there last October after a major life changing event. It was definitely everything and more than what I had expected it to be. Breathtaking view of the red rock all around. A Tent with chairs facing the temple for anyone who wants to meditate.Sedona Arizona was one of the places on my bucket list. I’m grateful I was able to go, and the weather was perfect!
Beautiful, peaceful, highly intriguing and done to impeccable standards of quality on the whole.
I love this place. People respect this place so much. There is a small parking space and then, just easily walk off road around 10-15 mins. You can take time to meditate or just walk around the area to pay some respect. It’s a great hidden gem of Sedona I will say. And the view here is great too.
Pretty cool place to come and visit and just chill. You can meditate too, everyone keeps it respectful here and quiet. Plenty of parking space since you can just park on the street. There is one portable toilet available if you need to use the bathroom. There is also a small area with some chairs right in front of the statue where you can sit down and relax. The little trail from the road to the Stupa and the Park takes roughly about 10 minutes or so, very easy and quick.
You will never go wrong visiting Sedona. And this park added peaceful energy to the visit. Small but relaxing. Various little trails to explore. Send blessings to all those in need.
We came here in the early evening. It was very peaceful walking around the Stupa and using the prayer wheels. As you walk the trails above you come to the medicine wheel and many more trails to mindfully walk.
What an absolutely stunning place. The first step in fills you with peace and calming love. Each path was more magical and heartfelt. The park is breathtaking and the view around it is unbelievably gorgeous. I cant imagine anyone walking out of here without having had a profound and love filled experience. I am so grateful for this beautiful place and for everyone that makes it possible. So much love to all of you.
Breathtaking views. So peaceful and beautiful. Definitely recommend to stop by and explore this site. The peace this site offers is incredible. And you gets lots of beautiful views. Is just awesome.
The mini hike up to the peace park was beyond beautiful! The paths are pure red and they are breathtaking. Its definetly peaceful and serine!
Quiet & Serene with beautiful landscape. A respected place!
This is a small hiking, but it’s worth it. It’s relaxing and the mountains views are wonderful. Make sure to bring a bottle of water, and have fun.
Nice place to relax and meditate. If you are a casual visitor, I would suggest sitting in one of the chairs around the trail and enjoy the sweet sounds of the nature. I was just here to check it out but I spent 5 minutes and it was very peaceful and relaxing.
Wonderful experience. Go as early as possible in the morning.
Beautiful scenery, quiet even when semi busy, many trails for people to take. Can get confusing if you start wandering around alone. But, otherwise, great spot to find peace and relax. There are prayers everywhere. The buddah statue and it does provide the history of the place there. Not a ton of parking.
THE MOST PEACEFUL PLACE EVER! If you are seeking solace, you need to visit! Even if you dont worship Buddaha, they have a medicine wheel and you will find peace here! This is one of my favorite places on Earth!
I loved it here. It was peaceful and i loved that it was clean no trash in sight. The hike is amazing. Cant wait to go back.
Peaceful and unique spot. Get a glimps of Tibet/Nepal in the middle of the USA
A calm and peaceful happy place to visit.Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park provides a sanctuary from the busy world. It provides a place to contemplate. The many visitors make it a very special attraction.Mediate or silently enjoy the grounds. You will leave with a special feeling.
This place is calming and relaxing. The gentle breeze through the trees and the occasional wind chime lets you feel at ease. You can sit or walk around and just be with your thoughts. The other people there were respectful and quiet of the parks peacefulness.
Wow totally recommend quick walk to the main temple and plenty of room to social distance!
I’m conflicted, it is a good place to visit but it’s a place for prayer and meditation so I don’t recommend people visit it for talking or taking photos. But passing this you get to trail Thunder Mountain which was great and a pretty easy hike!
Nice place in the future it should have a place to meditate.
Beautiful stupa with prayer wheels and statues of the Buddha
A real beautiful park or area. It is a peaceful, serene place with lots of little trails to explore with nothing but views. A main sitting area with lots of chairs available in a cozy shaded setting. It is a buddhist temple type area, which I do not really understand, but we had a nice visit, and enjoyed the peace it offered.
A Stupa dedicated to Buddha Amitabha of magnificent splendor. The radiance of Buddha permeates the ether here. Walking through the trails there are impromptu shrines and Buddha’s along the path. The Stupa itself is aligned to cardinal directions and has traditional ceremonial offerings. May bring your own offerings of you choose. Chairs are available to meditate or sit, there is one covered platform. Thank you.
Place to find peace of mind and great attraction to visit. Nice little trails surround the property to walk and wander around.
My favorite place ever! Please be respectful here, as it is a spiritual peace park and many people come for quiet reflection/meditation. Keep the park clean and leave an offering if you can!
Very relaxing, beautiful views, easy to get to, free entrance and history of the park in very interesting. It spread out of 14acres, so you could make a day of it - all kinds of little trails leading all kinds of directions. My group&I were a little unprepared - make sure you wear proper footwear, as the terrain is mountainous; as most trails are. Very touching to see all the personal touches at the different Buddha locations. A MUST if your in Sedona.
One of my favorite excursions in Sedona !! Very quiet and peaceful. Also extremely interesting for a non- Buddhist.
This peace park was amazing. Took the more steep trail option. Had beautiful rest areas in between. Colorful mantras everywhere and alot of information if you are not familiar with the Buddhist ways. Quiet trail. You can donate cash, unopened water bottles or shiny attractive trinkets. Will definitely be back.
Very reverent. Kids learned and so did we. Peaceful and easy to walk.
One of Sedonas lesser known but deeply spiritual locations is hidden from view by modest homes just off highway 89a. Its situated at the base of a red rock out croppings overlooking the city. Serene and auspicious, the Amitabha Stupa welcomes everyone equally with colorful prayer flags strewn throughout the grounds. Its a wonderful place to practice mindful meditation and quiet contemplation.
A must See if You Are Just Visiting Are Beautiful State.
Great place for a walk, and if you want to pray and meditate. Well kept. Some visitors seem to have a lot of fun with the stone structures. :)
This place is amazing ! A must visit just to visually and emotionally feel and find peace. It’s an easy hike and plenty of seating to take in the view . Parking is nearby. But they do close at dawn which is by 6pm
A spiritual place to heal the soul. The energy is so sacred here and the medicine wheel wow!
What a nice view from here
Sacred and Serene a wonderful place to cache your prayers into the mountains.
Very nice! Calm, peaceful and amazing views with nice hikes, short or long, around the area!
We visit the Amitabha Stupa every time we come to Sedona its a really nice park to enjoy peace and quiet, reflect, pray etc. Theres also a Medicine wheel you can walk as well.
This is a unique hike in Sedona. I am not a Buddhist but did find the whole experience peaceful and spiritual. There are many trails to venture off to here as well as finding a peaceful moment at the temple. This is a lightly traveled trail as well.
Very peaceful and quiet. This a beautiful place to clear your mind, pray, or just enjoy the view of the mountains and nature. Everyone who visits is pretty respectful and keeps their voices low. I enjoy visiting this little treasure. Just be careful to watch your step and not to slip on the paths since they are all dirt and rocks.
Such a beautiful vortex, come say a prayer
Visited Stupa of the Enlightened One who gave humanity a new prospective on the Meaning of Life.Definitely worth a visit.
Very peaceful and tranquil. Hidden away in a residential neighborhood, several little hikes around the area, a must see if you are in Sedona
If youre looking for a peaceful, spiritual walk, this is yourspot. There are many benches and areas to take time and meditate with the gorgeous Sedona mountains as a beautiful backdrop. You can just feel the positive energy when you are truly present in such a place like this. I make a point to stop here whenever Im in town.

Very beautiful and centered.
Personally I Absolutely loved it, there are not enough positive words to describe such very tranquil very pleasant. A beautiful way to reconnect and find some quiet time. Small little hiking trails throughout and many tranquil peaceful meditation spots. Were they having an understanding or not of Buddhism all are welcome. A peaceful place to sit and contemplate in Sedona. Limited parking space.
Very peaceful a spiritual experience, great place to pray and meditate.
One of my favorite places to visit in Sedona! Provides quiet space for meditation, as well as great hikes with some beautiful views.
The Amitabha Stupa was a very nice surprise for me. I had no idea how mystic is Sedona. For sure it fits well here. It is sacred and very imposing. I felt peaceful and sang Om Mani Padme Hummantra circulating the Stupa. There is also a beautiful Buda and a nice place to seat and meditate.
Cool park to just recharge yourself. Hidden Sedona, even residents didnt know about it.
Very peaceful! Many places you can explore when walking around here. The Buddha statue is a lovely symbol as it is warn and weathered and simple.
We stumbled on this place after a lovely hike. We were there after sunset and it was truly beautiful. Peaceful, and serene- what a wonderful place to be mindful!
Very peaceful place. Beautiful views.
Beautiful place of Buddhist inspired art and meditation.
Very peaceful and spiritual place.
It is a beautiful and quiet super nestling under the red peaks of Sedona
Probably my favorite place I went to in Sedona this trip. A really cool place of spiritual energy with a few different features and areas to explore/meditate at.
Beautiful and peace filled with wisdom and great views8
An experience on its own. A must for anyone traveling through Sedona.
The mosg peaceful yet energy replenishing place Ive ever been to! Definitely going back
Peaceful, enlightening, beautiful. There are few places in this world that call to my soul, and this is one of them. Bring an offering (non-perishable) and, if you can, a donation so one day a temple can be built. No pressure, but it would be nice.
Tiny piece of heaven.Namaste
What a beautiful spot! Highly recommend. Bring an offering that you can leave. Like a stone, coin, etc.
This is a must stop when you are visiting Sedona. Its a place with a very special energy.
Great place to visit but be advised it is closed until further notice
One of my most favorite things from my visit to Sedona. Theres something calm and assuring about this place. Getting here is as easy as it gets. Theres a mini hike of 10 minutes with well guided directions from the time you complete your drive. The park has a small seating area with shade where you can meditate and chill as a group as long as youre quiet while respecting the space. As already found on the internet, you could possibly find numerous group activities within this park since its meant to hold one of the many vortexes in Sedona. Irrespective my recommendation would be to come early in the day [before it gets too warm] or later in the afternoon [past 4] to just relax, walk around the stupa and get some peace and quiet.
This is my favorite place on earth.
IF YOU NEED PEACE IN YOUR LIFE, STEP INTO THIS PARK! AMAZING!
Very nice, quiet and zen place. The energy here seems so different.
Must visit place in Sedona. Best place for meditation.
If your looking for some peace and solitude in a beautiful place this is definitely a good spot to reflect on yourself and for your personal betterment and herring back to you.
