Just beautiful. Only downfall, no path running along the creek. Looks like fantastic creek fishing though. Theres also a crazy 2000 ft elevation trail. Its pretty much straight up, but if you want to get up to the top of the rim, then this is your trail. Its September and its only 82 degrees, simply beautiful
Great peaceful place, little bit of a rocky hike down to the water but believe me it is so worth it! The water was chilly when we went so keep that in mind but its got a natural small waterfall with constant flow and is perfectly clear water! Plenty of places to sit and lounge as well as swim! You wont regret going here!
Beautiful, less crowded alternative to Slide Rock. Bring your water shoes and bathing suit and you can spend several hours climbing, swimming and rock hopping in the clean, crisp water and waterfalls. Great for kids, but better for older kids than toddlers. The descent to the creek is steep and rocky so I would not recommend for people who require modified access.
Great little place. Even though we couldnt go too far down the trail with young kids, we could get to the water to dip our feet in for a minute and have lunch.
House this spot randomly at end of the day to eat some late lunch with the family. to our surprise there was a short trail that takes you down to the stream. cool little spot to rest and meditate for a little.
Happened to go on a Saturday morning and it was so so packed that people were double parking almost we luckily got a spot after waiting 10 min. Unfortunate that people werent picking up their trash or after their pets, and were blaring music, and were obviously not social distancing without masks on. We had to walk further along the creek for some peace and quiet
One of my favorite places on The planet. And the last 2 times Ive been. Trash everywhere. Overcrowded. And just not the same. Should be a person limit instead of cars parking in the middle of the road.. such a sacred place ruined
It started to get busy late morning but everyone is still distant from each other. Water was cold but very nice.
Nice spot. Hike down to water is steep.
Great spot to stop and easy access to the creek. $5 for a day pass to park with picnic tables. Water shoes for this spot is highly recommend. You will have to take some rock stairs down the side of a small cliff to get to the creek, this part of the creek is rocky, not as sandy as West Fork, but once in you can swim in the water.
Beautiful creek access with deep pools for swimming!
What a wonderful swimming hole. Slide Rock was full and this was great.
This spot is so awesome love everything about it !!! Keep it clean there is a day pass you have to pay for not to expensive.
Love this place. Just bring water shoes! Its a small hike down to the water but so worth it.
Very serene and quiet not to mention peaceful and fun
Great access to the river and plenty of places to picnic by the water.
Small picnic area for just a few of cars
Beautiful scenery, nice creek to play in, picnic tables.
Must pay a fee. Small lot with bathrooms. Its right near the creek. The trail is not very easy on side by the parking lot but once you cross the creek, which could be difficult, the trail is much easier. Very beautiful place. Must see and must take photos.
My family absolutely LOVES this site! Its a beautiful place to escape the unrelenting Phoenix heat. Parking is limited so we always get there early to get a spot. There are toilets but no water, so bring your own. There are grills for BBQing and easy access to the creek. Beware the water is very cold even in the middle of summer but sooo worth it!
Great place for family and friends
Nice place to play in the water with kids
It was vey very nice
Awesome
Worth visiting!
The stream is so beautiful, just go hang out there with friends and family.
Really nice
A very nice place to relax
Beautiful
Easy access to the Creek. Catch and release fishing. Nice day use area with tables and charcoal grills. 5 dollar fee per car.
It was hot and wet
Beautiful as always! My family and I have been visiting this site for about 15 years.
Right off the highway and easy access (stairs minor boulders) to stream. Charcoal grills with covers. Bathroom with minor plumbing.
Enjoyed the nice morning sun and an early lunch at the site.
If you like the wilderness and seeing sights then this is one of many places to visit in northern Az.
A great swimming hole. 5 bucks for the day.
This is a great spot for a day trip while in Sedona. Picnic tables are great for grabbing a bite and its a short walk down a primitive stairway to the creek. Fishing abounds and depending on how adventurous you are there are several swimming holes close by.
Beautiful and majestic.
Serene and pretty
Ok to stop for a bathroom break and a picnic table. No great hiking here and limited access to the river.
Love oak creek canyon even when it is crowded with people
Great place to visit and have a picnic
Steep steps but very beautiful. Catch and release only. Pass required.
IT used to be a campground. Today its for day use only.
Lots of places to picnic in the shade.
Nice n quite, great weather, great view, jus follow da rules...
Incredible really really super nice
Nice water hole with limited parking. Reasonable fees for day use. Very crowded during hot weather in Phoenix. Yes, we are among the many who tried to squeeze into this area in late July.
One of my favorite spots
Nice place!
Beautiful, pleasant, and family friendly.
Clean and great view of the river
Nice morning to sit by the creek.
Incredible spot. I reluctantly review it because I selfishly want to keep it a secret. Its got right parking but otherwise an ideal spot for fun in a creek/picnics/hiking.
Small area but a beautiful place to wade your feet in the river.
Great creek access.. can just picnic in the trees or hike the steps to the creek
Great place to relax and enjoy the water!
Gorgeous views!
If you want to enjoy the beauty of this place, please, PLEASE, dont leave trash behind. Keep nature clean for everyone. I was disappointed to be the first person down there in the morning and see all this trash and many recyclable items lying in the water and on the ground. It only took a few minutes to pick up though, and I left the place better than when I found it. PLEASE do the same in your travels. #packitout #dontbetrashy ️
So peaceful
Great swimming hole but kind of crowded.
I like this area. I love Oak Creek. The tourist have really ruined the experience the past years though.
Nice area where you can walk down to the river and wade in it within 5 minutes walk but still away from the road.
So nice, and quite, so peaceful.
Not far from the creek and plenty of space to move about
Secret spot in Sedona, miss it being a camping spot
Beautiful scenery
Beautiful!
Camped here when it was a camping area, sad to see it changed to a day use area
BEAUTIFUL
Very Beautiful Place!! Plus Only an Hour Away from Me!!
