Absolutely amazing park!!! The beauty of nature engulfed by a huge water fountain, an enclosed garden of reflection, amphitheater, playground area and large open fields!!! It simply has everything you need for a day of relaxing, a date, or a family outing. There are plenty of open (direct sun) as well as shaded areas to just soak of the sun or lounge in the shade on a blanket. Several walkways leads you to everything you need even to outside dining... There are restrooms which are very convenient, the only downside is parking, which like most places in Savannah! You must come and share in the enchantment of this park! Its so picturesque that you will always find individuals taking photos, from selfies, to professionals photographing wedding parties.... Come, bring your ideas and watch them come to life in the park... I did!!!!
Forsyth Park is the main park within Savannah, but all throughout the town youll find plentiful of mini parks that will most likely have a statue recognizing a notable figure. Its ridiculous how photogenic everything is and it almost feels like a movie set, but its not!Theres a farmers market that takes place on Saturdays as well if youre able to catch that!
A really lovely park with lots of southern oaks covered in Spanish moss with the odd splash of resurrection fern. Lots of alternative type people here selling handcrafted jewelry and doing yoga in the park. There are a bunch of no cycle zones for pedestrian access and the oaks create a ton of shade and coolness in an otherwise warm Georgian environment. A few monuments to the confederate dead and the veterans of the Spanish war.
One of the most beautiful places in Savanna!!Large oak trees with Spanish moss. The Spectacular fountain is a perfect photo opt location. With over 30 acres and numerous benches, one can stroll looking at the many artists and craft folks making their creations, or sit and relax soaking up the beauty!!
Gorgeous park! Its very welcoming. It is peaceful yet playful. There are others enjoying a picnic, reading, walking with their dog, taking the baby for a stroll thru the park, exercising, watching the children play on the playground there, getting a bite to eat at their cafe, etc.I do wish though, they had more available parking for visitors.
We only took a short stroll from one end to the other, but its such a nicely maintained and peaceful park. Lovely water fountain on one end and beautiful oak trees with spanish moss dangling down provides plenty of shade. So relaxing to take the dog for a walk! I think there are public restrooms near the cafe area midway along the east side of the park but we didnt confirm.
Had an absolute blast discovering the historical Forsyth Park for the very first time . It is so beautiful and Serene. I became a boy all over again as I walked beneath the moss covered trees. And the fountain was the most amazing. I know it is already famous and theres nothing I can say to add to its grander. However, if youve never been to Savannah to see it then youre missing out.
Beautiful park! Benches and lots of grassy areas. Gorgeous oaks and historical monuments. Such a lovely elegant place to spend the day picnicking or sightseeing. Saturdays are full of benders selling everything from local honey to produce. Its fabulous!
What to say about Forsyth Park in Savannah?Amazing space to relax, stroll around, lay on the grass to read or just enjoy the shade from the many trees. This place is very special and spacious. It has many attractions and makes you want to stay there forever. I would call it the Central Park of Savannah or maybe of the whole deep south.Must see when in Savannah.
Forsyth Park is Savannahs own big back yard. There is a sense of community because you will likely see someone you know enjoying the park We like how well planned the park was laid out. We haveopen green space for people and pets to play. Many times you will see a soccer game or people running drills .Frisbees are also popular past times. The park has a beautiful fountain and a band shell, a playground for children, a restaurant, and a small enclosed garden.I enjoy walking the perimeter of the park. Many people enjoy walking and running around the park.
Very beautiful place to walk around, read a book, or just enjoy the breeze. Peek into the fragrant garden or enjoy the beauty of the fountain. Lovely to look around in rain or shine!
I love Forsyth Park! Its so beautiful and at the right time of day/year its so quiet and peaceful. There can be a lot going on with excersize groups, tour groups, and just peak time busy. Its a nice place to spend some time people watching and taking in the lovely southern scenery.Dont miss this on your trip to Savannah.
Beautiful park to take the family to relax in the wide open field or play on the playground. We visited during COVID so we didnt let the kids play on the playground itself but we did have fun playing tag. Beautiful and calm park! Will definitely visit again.
Beautiful and historic site that serves up a healthy dose of southern history in a wide-open natural setting. I learned that the famous fountain was actually purchased out of a catalog from France and not a one-off design, would have never known... Cute little cafe and coffee shop on site as well with clean public restroom facilities.
This park is completely beautiful. The trees block out nearly all noise from the surrounding area. Fun play places for kids to enjoy as well as benches to sit and enjoy the park.
Its really a good spot especially on fall. You can see lots of historical buildings and monuments if you like to visit historical places. There is also 2 nice playgrounds for kids to spent some joyful time. The sound of water of the big fountain in the middle of the park is so peaceful. I liked this park.
The highlight is the beautiful fountain in the center, the trees make wonderful arches and shade just like in the rest of that area of Savannah. Good public restrooms nearby, lots of places to sit and areas for picnicking.
Not a bad park to sit and people watch. Good spot for pictures and walking your dog. Nothing like getting away from the downtown crowd while being downtown
We love this park! Tennis courts. Play area for kids. Dog friendly. Huge grassy area for a picnic or frizzbie.
Its a beautiful park. Family friendly atmosphere. Shaded walk ways.
The friendliest dogs at this park. People werent that bad either. The trees brilliant. Great for a picnic.
HUGE park! Gorgeous old oaks with Spanish moss and lots of people out enjoying the outdoors. Very beautiful place to stroll and enjoy the weather.
Great for weddings, engagements and proposals, one of the most iconically-Savannah locations in the whole of Savannah. 30 acres of park space, oaks dripping with Spanish moss, and of course the famous white fountain. A must visit.
My wife and I were only in Savannah for a couple of hours. After eating we chose to go to Forsyth Park. The park is very beautiful and is a peaceful place to relax and it gives plenty of photo opportunities. It is surrounded by other points of interest.
Beautiful picture perfect park in the heart of historic Savannah Georgia. Lots of people there even on a weekday, for good reason: its gorgeous. Even with large crowds, this park exudes tranquility and a sense of great calm. The arboretum is fantastic in its huge variety of trees, the ampitheater and open field are perfect for playing around or having a picnic, the fountain is a gorgeous photo op. Theres so much you can do in the park, or you can just do nothing at all. Perfect
Very beautiful. Loved the farmers market. Perfect place to have a nice picnic. Great little grocery store across the street that has natural and local foods that would be great to pick up to eat with the freshgoods picked up at the market.
I loved the trees and the statues. My goal was to get a coffee and walk around the park. The Bean which is the only place right across from the park...a little odd...the food was good and the coffee. The walk around the park was a little lacking. I think my expectations were too high...not sure what I was expecting. Lol. The fountain is huge and beautiful. Lots of dogs being walked and even tennis courts and outdoor amphitheater.
Its the first place I take the kids anytime I go to Savannah. Huge park, the kids love the playground and we love the environment.
Good vibes . I enjoyed my stroll around the park. Very nice and well kept. A lot of options for children . Beautiful bathrooms. It’s a must see!!!
The park is surrounded by stately historic Savannah homes. Its magical at night with the park fountains lit up and trees dripping with Spanish moss.
Great community environment. Lots of places to bring a blanket and have a picnic. Took lots of pictures with my fav girl here.
Great area to visit in Savannah GA... Sometimes music festivals and events are held there and are free to the public... They have kids playground, sports fields, tennis courts, and other activity areas.
One of the most beautiful parks to take q stroll through!
Beautiful park great place to go for a walk and just enjoy being outside
This park is a very big, spacious. They have a water fountain, also two playgrounds for the kids to play. Lots of room to spread out. Just be prepared to walk and sightsee which was very wonderful. With kids bring a stroller,
I love savannah one of my favorite spots to visit its something different about the beautiful little town.
Very beautiful!!! Great place to destress and walk around. Beautiful and positive vibes all the way around.
This was the most beautiful park! it was gigantic so there was plenty of area to walk around and kill some time. the over hanging trees gives it a bit of a romantic vibe and i’d love to come here one evening and walk around with a date
Nice open park right in the middle of Savannah. Plenty of space for dogs to run, huge playground for the kids and beautiful monuments and fountains. Best part was the long walkway with huge spanish moss trees on both sides. Beautiful.
Beautiful, unique park. I enjoyed walking around, the serene area. Savannah is unlike any town I’ve been to
So beautiful! Absolutely love the spanish moss.
This place is so very beautiful. It holds many wishes and promises for the people who have visited this wonderful place. The fountain is probably the most special for many. People have made wishes, promises and wedding proposals. I would suggest a visit to Forsyth Park while you are in Savannah, GA, especially the Fountain to see if your wishes can come true.
Super gorgeous and relaxing. Was great for my family and I just to get out and get some sun and exercise. Clean restrooms and security makes you feel safe so you can just enjoy being there fully. The little garden part off the beaten path was my favorite
I love how serene it is at Forsyth Park. We had a great time just laying down and enjoying the breeze. It is like a mini Central Park.
Gorgeous place away from all the tourists. Great playground for little ones. Plenty of green space for open play. Lots of shade from trees too. Public restrooms are open till 6 and very clean.
Beautiful park! You should not leave Savannah without going to Forsyth Park. If youre here on a Saturday morning, dont miss the farmers market! Great vendors, products, and also great for people and dog watching. Beautiful park in this beautiful city!
Highly recommend checking out the park. Great for early morning jobs before the heat sets in.
The play ground in this park is awesome. Its difficult to find parking if youre not already parked in the area. Mixture of families and college students hanging out.
Beautiful park! Nice to bring family
A must see if you spend any time in Savannah. Dont miss a walk through the park and neighboring streets. Just beautiful!
My sister lives in Charleston and I live in Jacksonville. We decided to meet in Savannah at Forsyth Park. It was our first time there and we enjoyed walking around in the park and people watching. We will definitely be returning.
Popular park for picnics, art, sports, relaxing, playing, anything that can be done in a park is done here. There is a cafe and beautiful rose garden, the park is surrounded by great sights
Love biking and walking the park hope they will respect our history and leave the monuments as they are so people can learn from our history and not repeat it...
Beautiful and open and fun. The architecture of the buildings around the park is gorgeous as well, making it hard to take all of it in even after going 20 times.
Really nice park. Two playgrounds, two tennis courts and basketball court. There is also a eatery now. Park is always well kept.
Really cool historical park. We visited it for a short time but while there we had a really fun time. There was a live band playing near the playground as well.
I am in love with this city! In the dead of winter it is lush and green and bustling with life. I seen so many families with their kids playing, dogs running, a bride taking her bridal photos and a wedding of anothe couple. Had great family time and crossed a city of my bucket list. The fountain is beautiful, the old oaks full of hanging moss like out of a storybook, tulip trees in bloom, plaques full of historical information and beautiful old statue. This place is great for people watching and getting some exercise in for the day. So much character and charm. A real must see destination!
This a very neat park with a lot of history. It is very well shaded so its an easy walk. There is also a neat restaurant located in the park that I would recommend checking out.
Its a beautiful park! Its so big that even on busy weekends it doesnt feel crowded. Good to know during covid. Two playgrounds for different ages. Great to bring blanket and chairs or Frisbee or volleyball! Lots of shade too.
Beautiful and gorgeous park to stroll thru through out any season . A must see you are visiting.
Beautiful park nestled in Historic Homes. Well worth a visit and hanging out. The park has multi-acre greenspaces, tennis courts, kids playgrounds and a large expansive walking trails. The live oak and Spanish Moss Savnnah is known are prominently displayed here.
Wonderful park. Very clean and well maintained. There was a live trumpet player. Clean restrooms. Highly recommend.
Beautiful park! We went on a Saturday morning and were able to walk through the Saturday market. The fountain is fun to see! There is free parking all around the park and fun shops to go through.
Savannah has so many great green spaces! Amazing. This park is great to enjoy some shade and people watch.
Always a stop when we vacation in the area. Beautiful park!
Beautiful and family friendly park with cool monuments. Its situated right in the historical part of Savannah, so you can easily walk to a ton of other thinga by the park. My son and I had a blast here.
Very nice park. Its very big and has lots of shade. I saw people working out, sunbathing, reading, walking their dog(s), playing ball, skateboarding, bicycling and some having a picnic. Everyone was really friendly.
Classic Georgia. Worth the drive to sit and read in the moss covered stillness. It probably gets busier in non-COVID season. But I enjoyed a quite Sunday afternoon.
My fiancé and I got married on a whim here on Mat 23rd and the fountain is always so beautifully well taken care of. One lady was having a 50th birthday photo shoot, tourists were snapping pictures, and we were still able to have our own spot with the fountain right in the picture! It was wonderful. I love this park, even as a current Savannah resident.
Beautiful park in the heart of Savannah. A must visit if your in town. Beautiful old trees full of hanging Spanish Moss, give you the feeling that youve gone back in time. Dog friendly and a great place to walk, jog, or just sit and relax and people watch.
If youre visiting Savannah, you have to spend some time at this park! Gorgeous fountain, large green lawns, beautiful flower landscaping, and a big playground for kids. Not to mention, there are free bathrooms by the playground (and a water fountain), as well as free parking next to the park. Its a great springboard to explore downtown Savannah, and its just a great spot to hang out on a day with nice weather!
Gorgeous park with different kinds of space for different peoples needs.
Historic park in historic center of downtown Savannah. Take a pleasant stroll, and visit the little parkside restaurant there.
Beautiful and peaceful! Tall trees, happy people, fun loving dogs, and a few statues that are still standing and protected as they should be.
Beautiful clean breathable peace park ️
I went for a Walk with a friend, we had a great time. We found parking, the park was clean, they have public restrooms, and there was a worship group. It was a blessing.
Awesome park for our shelties to walk and see squirrels. We walked it every day while in Savannah.
Free parking. Beautiful park. Not at all crowded.
Absolutely love this park. Its enchanting and gorgeous. More than enough space for anyone and everyone. I just moved to Savannah, but my love of this park was a huge draw, so much that I decided to live right around the corner. Cant wait to experience all that Forsyth has to offer.
Beautiful park and fountain! Keep your eyes open though and be aware! Interesting gentleman making flowers from palm fronds for a donation, that was fun to talk with and get the scoop.
Enjoyed an afternoon with my girlfriend listening to good music. The atmosphere was very relaxing.
Great place to relax and picnic or exercise. Always love this park.

It has a garden and beautiful trees and historic buildings
Forsyth Park is a beautiful mix between walking and biking paths and open green spaces. It is a great place to go for a walk or just relax.
Huge and beautiful park complete with a fountain, statues, expansive lawns and massive oak trees draping Spanish moss from their branches and giving off shade. Popular hangout spot for homeless people.
Forsyth park was a highlight of our trip. The park has beautiful trees overhanging the walkways, two great playgrounds for the kids, a beautiful fountain, and statues. There is lots of open grassy area for a picnic, frisbee, etc. You can ride your bike through as well. Its surrounded by historical mansions and homes. We loved the fancy architecture!!! Really lovely place.
When in Savannah Forsyth Park is a great place to visit to grab a bite at Collins, let the kids run wild on the playground or just have a lazy day on the grass under the moss covered trees. Lots of great walking around to look at the incredible architecture or walk to the Mansion for a cocktail or small plates.
Very nice park, lots of things to do but its too hot so we are just going to relax under the shade.
Two playgrounds opposite each other, easy to keep track and not crowded (Friday afternoon). The equipment needs a once-over with WD-40 or similar, very squeaky! Park restrooms are closed. Playgrounds are located between the Confederate statues/monument and the fountain, in the middle of the park. Parking either on the side streets or in the small lot inside the park.
Beautiful, dream-like park. A must see!!
Wonderful park. Nice place to visit with green space for the entire family including the furry ones.
Wonderful park, great for pets and relaxing .
Love this park. Very nice playground for kids. Nice cafe with really clean indoor bathroom. Water fountain is really cool. Lots of room for people to walk and lots of trees for shade.
