Savannah Botanical Gardens is a beautiful place to go for a walk or admire some local plants. With many award winning roses to seasonal sections of flowers. There is also a pond with a gazebo and fountain! Make sure to walk into the woods a little more to see the outdoors meeting place -see my photos for a glimpse otherwise.

It was nice. I was somewhat disappointed. For such a beautiful city lush with parks, I expected the botanical gardens to be huge. Maybe they need more civic funding. There is not an admission price but a donation box. I made a donation as I would hope that every visitor does.

Nice tranquil little spot. Visited in fall, so not too many flowers, but still a nice place to go read or relax in nature. Seemed to be next to a police facility, so a safe place.

The botanical gardens was amazing! Its a non-profit so I mean, how great is that for starters?! Also, they work so well with you. Our entire family loved how cute our wedding was. It was about 85-90 people who ended up showing up. They set up everything so well. Everyone was amazed by how beautiful it was. Our wedding was in June, but the trees and the water, we werent hot at all. There were no complaints from any of the guests. The house was beautiful to get ready in. We had enough for about 7 girls in the room to be there. I cant explain how thankful I am for everything that they did in order to make my day wonderful! Thank you Betty!

Im here for the first time, just moved to Savannah Jan. 1st. Today is the 7th, 60 degrees and there are still many roses and other flowers blooming! I cant wait to see it here when its summer. Really cute flower beds, water fountains one in a pond, a childrens garden area. Very well kept and maintained by volunteers. You may also be treated to a fly-by from Hunter Air base. I saw a Navy P-3 go over many times today, very cool. true Savannah Gem. ️️

Very small and poorly maintained. I work with rose plants professionally. These gardens have rose plants as a focal point but none of them have been maintained causing disease and leaf drop. It was sad to see a garden not maintained. Even small gardens can be attractive when maintained. For now I would not recommend a visit.

A hidden gem!! This garden is smaller than most batanical gardens I have visited in the East Coast. It is beautiful, and my favorite section is the rose garden. It has some short trails through the trees and one section has a sign on Watch Out for Snakes... Enough for me to skip all the trails. You can buy a brick and make a donation to the garden. It is dog friendly and the people working and visiting were very nice. There are picnic tables, too.

My wife and I had our wedding here during the COVID-19 pandemic. We were able to manage a last-minute ceremony and reserved the location. The hosts were fantastic and thoroughly accommodating to the suddenness of the reservation and the social distancing requirements of the time, the grounds were beautiful, and everything went quite well. We highly recommend them.

Cool caterpillars on Fennel plants in Herbs Section. Meeting someone at Hospice next door but arrived early so I took a walk back to the Compassionate Friends Memorial section. Late in the season for Roses but Im sure visiting throughout the year will reward all visitors at one time or another. Quiet and relaxing was just what I needed on my visit.

This garden is free admission. We went during the middle of the day, so it was a bit too hot to enjoy. But it was beautiful and the fragrant roses smelled amazing. I would recommend coming sometime that is not during the heat of the day if you want to take it all in. I recommend smelling the Dolly Parton roses--amazing!

We made a quick stop here as we were leaving Savannah.I think I found this attraction on Bring Fido since I was looking for pet friendly activities as we were traveling with our small dog.We visited in the middle of March, so not a lot was blooming. I bet that this is a lovely spot when the gardens are in full bloom though. The Camelia and Azalea garden was so nice and colorful. Glad we had the chance to see that. We also spotted a few roses. They have the main garden, but also a small one for children.Id budget anywhere from 15-30 minutes to spend here. This is a free attraction, but they do accept donations.Definitely a nice, romantic and serene spot.
