We love this park because usually this park is not too crowded. We had a picnic there but that day our food was attacked by aggressive yellow jackets. If you see wasps flying around when you visit, I suggest you don’t take your food out! You will like the shade the mature trees will offer you and you will love the bench that faces out to the Pacific Ocean. There is a nice open area for kids to play as well as playground area they would enjoy after the pandemic.

Came here to get the family out of the house. Decent size park. Kids play place Currently closed due to covid. Nice view of the ocean. Clean and fresh air. There is a parking lot here and street parking

Such a lovely little place. I liked it better than other parks in Santa Barbara because its less crowded and it made me feel it was a hidden gem. You have to be careful with the entrance though. Its very narrow.

I love La Mesa Park, there are wonderful shady spots to relax, with beautiful views of the Pacific, places to bbq and children to have fun, and restrooms are open daily which is a blessing in these tough times

Family not allowed to picnic and have lunch on the open fields. We got lots of dirty looks from the locals at the park. We where a party of six with four kids. Two locals where smoking medicinal marijuana. A local with a man-buns hair practicing yoga.

This is a very nice park, not a whole lot of parking but plenty on the street, hiking trail, bathroom, playground (no shade from sun at the playground), grills (need to be reserved), lota of grass (bring a blanket and small umbrella... The only downfall is all the dogs, most of them are off leash since people take them hiking. Lots of dogs get lost in this area.

Great park on the bluffs above the ocean. Parking lot is small, but theres a good amount of street parking. The playground is large. Lots of grassy spots for a picnic and group picnic areas. Park extends to many natural trees and groves to explore, but watch out for poison oak! Even if its a busy day, its still easy to find a quiet spot. There is a bathroom, but its pretty old.

Dog friendly, clean, beautiful views. Lots of stairs to get down, but worth it, especially for the dog! Everyones dogs were very well behaved, and if there was an accident, it was picked up right away! There are bags provided at the top of the stairs for said bio-matter. Once on the beach, if you walk North a bit, theres a restaurant, no dogs allowed, and an exterior snack shack.Note that it is street parking, and smaller cars would have better luck, we got the one place big enough for a pickup.

A hidden gem. With access points in two directions and a surprisingly nice walking area (including a nice bridge crossing into a nearby neighborhood) this is a great, quiet spot popular with locals, not tourists.

It is a really cute and small park, part of the Mesa community. It has restrooms, barbeque area that has to be reserved in advance, a nice playground for kids, and good amount of grass to play with your pets. There are many benches to observe nature, or sunsets.
