Cool trail but make sure you have a downloaded map or know the route. Lots of different forks that can get a little confusing the first time. Steep inclines that level out. Beautiful views are worth it!
Easy hike with a gorgeous view! Only did the first part of the hike, up to where we could see the ocean! Theres even a bench to sit and enjoy the view!!
Santa Barbara front country, not as beautiful as other walks but very steep if you want a very good workout.
Simple but nice trek.good views of nice houses..
Absolutely beautiful and if youre looking to workout, try going to the one on the right! definitely recommend
Hwy 192 to get to the park was beautiful.
Nice hike, trails wide at the top, no crowds, great views. Small amount of poison oak on lower trail
Lovely hike. What views! Steep for most part so great workout.
Great spot for some sunset hiking. Dog friendly. The fire road to the top is biking friendly but singletrack is off limits for bikes unfortunately
Parma Park Loop Hiking Trail on Mission Canyon Santa Barbara is an amazing trail to take your four legged buddy on amazing views of plant, tree and Ocean Views!
Fly Away Hang gliding is the best!
Great place to go hiking!
Parma is my little hidden gem in Santa Barbara. Located in the back hills, this dog friendly looped trail could very well be your next favorite park too. A challenge for uphill, but plenty of loops to take, I enjoy changing my trail each time to fit how much time I have. Topically I spend about 45 minutes to 5 hours here. Only water spigot is next to the horse trouf, but please dont let your dog drink out of the water for the horse.Park on the side of the road and be courteous to leave room for other to park. Never a very busy place, youll find serenity here and good folks who frequent this place as well
Nothing like sb in spring time
Great little hiking spot.great workout.
Not too far out of the way but feels like you could get lost on the multiple paths through the preserve. Lots of step hills, great views & stream crossing too
Paragliders land here from the mountains around 12:00, which is fun to watch. The down side is that its overgrown which your dog will love! Has clear walking paths as well so you dont have to trudge through the fields of rocks and bushes.
Rolling hills and groomed trails
A wilderness park, hiking trails and limited wildlife. Hiking boots and water recommended. There is very limited roadside parking available. You are more likely to see off-leash dogs than deer or other wildlife.
Well when you come over here its like a different Santa Barbara its almost like youre in the forest of the mountains its beautiful you see deer and coyote and rattlesnakes and the sun sets and everything or so beautiful you got to be here to enjoy it it doesnt even look like youre in Santa Barbara its so beautiful
Great place for a short hike. There are several different trails that you can see on the sign at the main entrance. None of the trails are very long, but many have significant elevation gain for such a short distance.
Not a park. Mainly trails to hike and be sure to use right shoes to hike the terrain. Not a kid friendly park and tons of poison oak.
Beautiful views. Signage needs work. Take a picture of trail with you.
People don’t have their dogs on a leash as recommended, some dogs are not friendly, if you dont like dogs, this is not a good park for a solo hike.
Nice large exposed park. Limited street parking. Trails easy to moderate. Plenty of horse trails. Benches and tables. Great views. Limited wildlife.
After a short half mile walk you can enjoy some nice views down sycamore canyon to downtown and when its clear you can see all the way out to the islands. Max 1.5 miles to walk the loop from.either of the 2 small parking areas along highway 192 aka stanwood Rd. Dog friendly. Bring water there is no shade except for a lovely bench under a single oak tree which makes for a serene spot to contemplate your day or take a break with your loved one.
Great views clean trails. There was a water fountain at our trail head very steep sections with lots of altitude change. Very poor directional signs on trails. Fun
Some of the best hikes in Santa Barbara can be found here. In the old days one could take a jeep up, but now the trails are for walking and cycling only. A gem, not too far from downtown.
Let me clear you first. This is not a park. This is a trail around 2 miles. I went with my daughter and though this is a park. Be prepare with water and shoes if you are planning to go.
Great trails and beautiful scenery
Is a small hike about 3 miles, Where a little confused because there is so many trails but they all lead you to the staring point,
Great hiking, fine for trail running, slowly
Been going for over twenty five years. Used to be very private now still a great place to get away. Ive been about 2-3 hundred times
