This Place was the Best. It was very convenient and personal. Right across the street from our Hotel was a bonus. My son and I tried this adventure for our first Time. The Weather was Beautiful and it was so relaxing being on the water. Our Helper Abraham was so sweet and chill and was super friendly. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back. I feel the rates were very fair.

Our 9 year old daughter took a private surf lesson with Abraham and we cannot say enough good things about him and our experience. She loved her lesson so much she wanted to take another one the next day. When she realized he was going to be her instructor again she jumped up and down with joy. He was very knowledgeable, patient, kind, sweet and went above and beyond. We will definitely take lessons again and hope you do too!

Our guide Brody was terrific and had the type of personality you want in a tour guide. Everything exceeded expectations. As a visitor, it is good to do this tour of Santa Barbara first. Spend 2-1/2 hours getting a view of everything that you will want to do the rest of your trip. The electric bikes were very new, well maintained and our private tour with a family of 7 went perfectly. Although the tour ran through very few areas with vehicular traffic, Brody was vary careful with safety.

We had an excellent city bike tour with Sergio! We rode around the city and the surrounding beach area for 3 hours and saw all the key highlights and beautiful scenic views of Santa Barbara. Sergio has such a personable and kind personality and was enthused about showing us the city and sharing his insights. My husband and I were so glad we took this tour. It was the highlight of our stay in Santa Barbara. Use an electric bike unless you’re comfortable doing a good number of hills. We used the standard bikes so got some good exercise. My boyfriend and I have been talking about trying out surfing. I searched for surfing lessons in the Santa Barbara area since I love the beaches there. So happy to have found this company for our first experience. Starting from the time of booking up until the day of our lessons they were so good at communication and making sure I had all of the details I needed so that I don’t feel lost. We got to the location as described and was greeted by our instructor Jesse. I can’t being to say how great and thorough he was was with us. I was so excited that I was able to stand up on the board my first try. Jesse has a great attitude and always so sweet and motivating. Surfing was so much fun and we cannot wait to join Jesse for our second lesson. Thank you for such a great experience!

Awesome kayak adventure! We booked the private American Riviera Tour for our bachelor weekend and it was a fun day event. Our tour guide Rose was extremely kind and helpful. She took us around the coast near the pier and pointed out fun facts about the area. She also gave us some good recommendations for things to do around the area. Would definitely recommend her as a tour guide. Thanks Rose!

We had a wonderful time on an e-bike tour with Sergio! He was friendly, knowledgeable of the area, and tailored the tour to our interests and cycling capabilities. The shop had a casual, fun atmosphere, and it was clear that everyone had a passion for bikes. The tour started on time and the bikes were in great condition. A guided bike tour is a fantastic way to explore Santa Barbara! You can cover more ground than on foot, but the experience is more up-close-and-personal than via a car or tour bus. My recommendation is to book your tour for the first day of your trip - the places you visit and the conversations you have with your guide can help you refine your itinerary for the rest of your trip. My only regret is that we had the tour later in our vacation, and then didn’t have enough time to try all the yummy restaurants that Sergio recommended. :)

Amazing tour with the best views! The private E-bike tour is the perfect way to explore the streets/hills of Santa Barbara, visit popular landmarks, and capture the breathtaking views. Our tour guide, Jimmy, was so much fun, very knowledgeable, and made the ride exciting and unique! We loved the tour that Jimmy gave us so much that we rented E-bikes again the next day and rode along the same route plus visited a few other places Jimmy recommended. Such a great time and experience!

My family (husband, 4 year old and 1 year old) rented electric bikes with child seats for 2 hours. The bikes were ready when we got there! No wasted time. The guys that worked there were super helpful and professional. The bikes were in great condition (we even got complimented on them while we were riding) and they aren’t plastered with the company logo. We had a great time and loved riding through Montecito.

My wife and I signed up for the 2pm citi e-bike tour. Our instructor was Sergio who was knowledgeable and great, we had a blast. The 2 hour tour is really enough to bike (without sweating) to many of Santa Barbara’s cool beaches, places, historical marks. The bikes were from Specialized, really top notch. A great way to get introduced to Santa Barbara. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a private electric bike tour. Our tour guide, Mac, was great! He packed water for us, showed us how to use the bikes, got us fitted, and then we were on our way. We rode along beautiful beaches and saw gorgeous mansions, went to the mission and its rose gardens, rode down the famous State Street, and got great food and activities recommendations for the remainder of our stay. He frequently checked to make sure the pace was good, provided directions ahead of time, and always cleared the path at intersections, so we could cross safely. We highly recommend the bike tour and having Mac as your guide.

I am a pretty good judge of character service and quality… Not just because I write books about it but because I’m old! Point is this place is awesome and Connor really nailed it. He knew what we wanted to see you had a sense of our interests and he hit it out of the park. Well done. I did the private kayak tour with my significant other, and we had such an incredible time. Our guide was very knowledgable about the city of Santa Barbara and was sure to point out areas that would be of interest to us. He also gave us recommendations of where to eat and where to see the sunset, all while we enjoyed 1.5 hours of kayaking fun in the ocean. I highly recommend!

ID GIVE THEM 10 STARS IF I COULD. My wife and I rented e-bikes in Santa Barbara during a 10 day vacation. From beginning to end, the service was world-class. Bikes were delivered and picked up from our rental house. They even picked up a bike that had a flat tire 10 miles from our house and delivered a new one to us, rather than taking the chance that theyd repair the tire and wed have a another problem They always showed up when they said they would and could not have been more courteous and knowledgable. Dont even think about using anyone else.

We can not express how amazing of an experience we had with the Santa Barbara Surf School and our instructor Jesse! My husband and I have never surfed before and Jesse had us surfing by the end of our lesson! We highly recommend adding an additional 30 minutes, as that is when we truly began to stand and ride the waves. The location at Mondo Beach was great and the instructors were all friendly. We had such a great time and highly recommend!

Great time on the kayaks in Santa Barbara. It’s a pretty short (both time and distance) tour but it was a really nice way to spend an hour or so. Tour guide shared some great recommendations and even took a few pics!

My wife and I rented a couple e bikes for the day and ended up riding all over SB. Soo much fun. The bikes were amazing and the batteries were still at 4 bars 24 hours later. Ask for Connor!! He was the best. Made sure the bikes were adjusted to each of us and told us all the great routes! FUN TIMES!!!

Amazing service. We were at the beach and were looking for boards to rent. Even though Chuck was just about to leave, he helped us rent a board and a wetsuit for good value for 24 hours. We returned it the next day after getting two days of surfing in!Pickup and drop off were easy and accommodating. We will definitely be renting from them again.

We did a two person surfing lesson with Jesse and he was the best! He gave us such great tips and made the overall experience so much fun! The program was very helpful & such a fun way to get to learn how to surf! Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I took an electric bike tour with Ally. As a native SB-an, she gave us some local history, great places to explore, dine and enjoy. She was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. We had a fantastic time and would definitely do it again. We would highly recommend this guide and tour.

I took a kayak tour with my kids two weeks ago and it was a lot of fun. Stella was our guide and she did a great job of quickly teaching us the basics and safety and then getting us on the water for a fun and informative tour of the harbor. She took us around the harbor and the breakwater and then out to a buoy where sea lions lounge out. We also paddled under Stearns Wharf on our way back. It was very cool. I recommend Cal Coast Adventures highly- easy process, great value and a lot of fun.

We really enjoyed our surf lesson! Our surf instructor Daniela was so friendly, encouraging, and helpful. With her help, my husband and I both got up on the waves despite very little prior surf experience. We rented our surfboards for a couple hours after the lesson was over and had lots of fun practicing what Daniela taught us. We would definitely recommend a surf lesson from Cal Coast Adventures as part of your beach experience!

Abraham was great! He was able to pinpoint the things I needed to improve on and it really helped! They were early and even suggested another spot nearby that had a better surf for the day. The customer service on the phone was excellent too. I had some questions before booking and they answered all of them. Great experience!

I booked a road tour for intermediate riders. My tour guide was Connor and he was really great. He asked me about my preferences and expectations and created a fantastic tour through the Santa Barbara area that included beach front and plenty of hills. We covered 27 miles and almost 2,000 feet elevation.Truly wonderful. Thank you Connor and Cal coast Adventures!

Rented a hybrid bike for couple of weeks and road bike for Santa Ynez ride. Bikes were all in great condition. Ask for Conner, very helpful and knowledgeable about routes, bike setups, etc. I will definitely use them again.

Good place to rent a bike if youre in Santa Barbara. I rented a base road bike (Specialized with 105 and disc brakes)and I was not pleased with it, the tires were in bad shape soI got flats, and the bike overall needed TLC. Took it in after a few days and the guy working (Connor?) was nice about it and switched it out with a very nice bike (Specialized with Ultegra, Di2, hydraulic brakes) for just a bit more $. Then the real fun started. Definitely rent from them and go straight for the nicest bike they have in your size, it is WORTH it and it changes your whole experience. The Santa Barbara mountains are not fun without hydraulic brakes!

My 10 year old son and I enjoyed a 90 minute private kayaking tour with Cal Coast Adventurers guide Maddie the week before Labor Day. Maddie was knowledgeable, kind and pleasant to spend a post-card perfect afternoon, under azure skies. She guided us around the gorgeous bay off Santa Barbara West Beach. We got to see sea lions, seals, crabs, fish, pelicans, cormorants, and fish. We would highly recommend Maddie for anyone who wants to spend 1-2 hours enjoying a gentle paddle around the bay in delightful Santa Barbara, California-USA!

We went on the E-bike tour, with Brody as our tour guide. We had so much fun going around beautiful Santa Barbara on the e-bikes. The e-bikes are so fun to ride, makes going up the hill so easy! Brody is a great tour guide, fun, and made us feel safe riding out on the streets of SB. I highly recommend taking this tour… you will love it!

Toured Santa Barbara on E-bikes and had a blast! Jimmy was our guide and he was awesome! Our group of 5 moms decided that from now on every city we visit we will need to rent an E-bike.

Ryan totally made it fun he took pictures of us lots of pictures which made it great and it seemed a lot longer than 90 minutes. I would totally recommend this experience to any family and a couple or anyone that just wants to try kayaking for the first time it’s really easy to do the day was great and we saw a lot of wildlife. On 7/5/20 we took a private 2.5 hour tour led by Brody and it was awesome! Brody was so pleasant and professional. He was careful and we could tell that he was cautious with our safety. He was also knowledgeable about Santa Barbara and pointed out several interesting facts. We would highly recommend this company and Brody!

Ally was our ride or die chick! She and her superhero corgi were actually our kayaking guides. I was coming off of a crazy work week with 5 mondays in a row and my kids were just finished with the first week of virtual schooling. Also we have never kayaked before but decided that this would the most perfect thing to cure our home bound troubles. So we made a day of it. Drove out to gorgeous SB, on a gorgeous day, with barely any traffic and the Ally (and Charlotte, the corgi) took it up a notch. It was fun, relaxing, educational, a total and utter blast. WE LOVE US SOME ALLY and cant wait for her to teach us how to surf. Thank you for an amazing unwind from a very stressful reality.

What an awesome adventure! Ryan was the best tour guide and made us feel super comfortable out in the water. The weather was great and we had a great time celebrating my birthday with a kayak tour. My kids participated in the Santa Barbara Surf Camp and absolutely loved it! They were up and riding waves on their FIRST day of camp. They loved the counselors Griffin, Daniella and Christine. They said they were funny, entertaining and really taught them how to surf. I would recommend the half day camp for locals and visitors.

We had a great time on our electric bikes post-Covid shutdown - The electric bikes themselves are top-of-the-line, intuitive and fun - and the folks at Cal Coast were friendly, knowledgeable and quick on their feet in getting us situated with clean and attractive bikes! We were on the road in no time and had more than enough battery for a full afternoon of Turbo-assisted fun - our bikes had over 30miles worth of biking without breaking a sweat or worrying about range. Our trusty guide Elias was funny and full of good stories about the sights, scenes and landmarks of Santa Barbara. Great stops along the way included Butterfly Beach, Montecito, the Farmers market, State Street, City College Overlook, and the Mission - loved the coffee at Handlebar Coffee! A great outfitting station to help you build the perfect day

We had a fun surfing experience yesterday. MAX was our surf instructor and he was fantastic. He was personable, knowledgeable and handled our three levels of surfing abilities; beginner to more advanced. Most of all our mission was accomplished to have fun!

We had a great experience with Cal Coast Adventures. Chuck was a great tour guide and was very professional and courteous. As a Goleta/SB native he was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us some great tips. He was also really patient and helpful with my wife, who had a little trouble paddling and steering the Kayak. Highly recommended.

My wife and I took the electric bike tour today. Our guide was Mack. My wife was hesitant about the electric bike but Mack quickly put her fears and doubts at ease.Before I go any further about our experience let me say that MACK was an outstanding guide and made our experience a very memorable one. If you take the bike tour ask for Mack!!!We saw parts of Santa Barbara that weve never experienced before and enjoyed the area much more by bike than we would have by car. This was the first time surfing for my 10 year old daughter and her friend. Ally, Nick, Stella and Grif were fantastic with the kids and I really appreciated the instructor to student ratio. The adults also did a 1.5 hour lesson with Stella and Nick, showing they were not only great with kids but also with adults.Cant wait to do it again!

We booked a downhill ride based on the descriptions from the website. Upon arrival, we discussed the type of ride that we booked with our guide and the other option which was more of what we wanted to experience in our short stay. So, with the type and location of the drop off modified, they set us up on two nice Specialized Stumpys and we headed off. Our guide Sergio was fantastic on the way up as well as our ride down Romero Mountain. A highly recommended outfit for hitting the mountain of Santa Barbara.

Elias was such a great teacher and just an all around nice guy! My kids had so much fun, learned so much and six year old stood up on every wave. The kids had a blast and we had so much fun watching them. We will be back and requesting Elias again!

My husband and I did the electric bicycle tour on Saturday. Andrew was our most excellent guide. He shared many unique locations throughout Santa Barbara along with interesting anecdotes.I highly recommend this tour.

We found Cal Coast Adventure right on the beach right next to Stearns wharf. My husband and I wanted to go tandem kayaking and were helped by Caitlin. She was super friendly and helped us with the online payment option via their website, so no cash needed. She also gave us a quick guide on how to get around the beach and harbor. The kayak ride was relaxing with stunning views of the hills and the pristine clean blue waters. During our ride we saw a wild seal, kayaked under docks and a boat. It was a great experience we would definitely want to do again.

We rented bicycles for the week. The bikes are very well maintained. Service could not have been better. No hesitation and expect to have a great experience.

My 13-year-old daughter and I went on the electric bike tour with Sergio leading us. What an amazing experience! He was so informative and sweet. My daughter and I were quite nervous that she wouldnt be able to figure out the bike, but Sergio had her ride it around on the street to warm her up. The tour was two and a half hours and we saw so much of Santa Barbara. I highly recommend this company and its a perfect way to see the city.Thank you Sergio! The pad thai noodles were delicious!

The staff was extremely friendly and prepared. Since this was one of the first times bicycle rentals were open as a result of COVID-19, they were very clear on what to do online and when we showed up, the were super responsive to get us exactly what we needed. The staff worked well together and had clear plans to ensure all was cleaned. They even selected bikes for us to make it easier to keep track of the group. They also allowed out children to use their restroom. They went out of their way to serve us with great attitudes.

Cal Coast impressed with their careful social distancing and PPE requirements. Not only was my SUP instructor Chuck friendly and knowledgeable, the location between the SB Pier & Harbor was ideal to experience flat water and more challenging chop. A great experience and now I feel ready for the next excursion on my own. Thanks Cal Coast!

We stopped by this place because it was so convenient, literally RIGHT off the highway. Turns out they’re really the only shop in town that has higher end mt bikes in addition to cruisers and road. We tested out a few bikes to find the right size and specs. I got a Specialized Camber 29 and she got a Stumpjumper 27.5. Super nice bikes.Next the owner took the time to show tell us all about the local trails and recommend a good route to maximize our day. We talked for a while and they weren’t in a hurry to get us out the door.The shop gave me a good helmet, tube, and co2 set just in case.What set this rental shop apart from others I’m used to is the relaxed and flexible atmosphere. Mitch and Andrew were both just super friendly. Will definitely come back to SB because the biking was great and of course coming back to Cal Coast.

Purchased surfing lessons for a party of 4, instructors were accommodating, patient and really fun to work with!

My 13 year old daughter and I (a bit older than 13) did a 1.5 hour surf lesson with Griffin. I was just hoping my daughter would have a great time and want to do this again. Griffin exceeded our expectations with good prep, encouraging words and by choosing good waves for us to ride. He was super positive and allowed both of us to get challenged and learn. We were at Mondo’s Beach which was perfect for us beginners. It was a bit crowded, but Griffin kept us safe. Even the wipeouts were fun. If you’ve never surfed before, go with Cal Coast Adventures and ask for Griffin! Sick!

Fantastic experience renting from Cal Coast. Connor took really great care of us. The bikes are in perfect condition, nice to look at, and make for a great ride. This will be our go to for bike rentals whenever we are in Santa Barbara!

My family and I had a great time during the electric bike tour. Elias was our tour guide, and he was very enthusiastic and professional and loved showing us around. We learned about the history of the buildings and areas in downtown Santa Barbara. I highly recommend coming here if you want a quick relaxing tour of Santa Barbara

My husband and I spent a few days in Santa Barbara last week and we decided to kayak around the beach and harbor. CalCoast Adventures was right across the street from our hotel. They were very busy, but KATELYN did an awesome job of taking care of everyone (the line was quite long when we walked up) She is friendly, helpful and has a happy, sweet, fun personality! You can tell she is loving what she is doing! I would highly recommend CalCoast Adventures if you want to enjoy a fun day on the water!

For $30/hr, this was a fabulous way for us to explore the Santa Barbara harbor. The booth had a storage unit manned by the attendant where we could leave our things. Theres no changing room associated with the booth as it was on a beach, but I think thats to be expected.

My family takes an annual trip to Santa Barbara and this year--because we had family in town to help with kid care--my husband and I were able to rent road bikes and set off on some excellent cycling adventures in and around Santa Barbara. I found Cal Coast Adventures online, booked online, confirmed with a quick phone call the day before pick-up and we were good to go. The bikes were all set up for us when we arrived, complete with helmets, water bottles, and even the loan of a floor pump for the week. After some quick fit adjustments we were off and riding. We used the bikes every day of our trip and were so glad we made the choice to rent from Cal Coast Adventures. Their customer service was top-notch; their expertise is evident; and the ease with which the whole transaction occurred was much appreciated. Id rent again from them in a heartbeat!

Rented a hardtail and was very pleased with the bike, the price and the friendly staff. Would rent again, and I plan on using them for surf lessons in the future.
