Its a nice park but so many homeless and transients are here at night. It makes it hard to really enjoy such a nice place. Thankfully, the homeless wont bother you.

Great calm place to walk the dog or just enjoy the Santa Barbara weather. Kids world is great for families and can easily entertain kids up to 12. The only real negative is that homeless people will use sleep on the grass but theyre pretty calm and dont bother anyone.

A great wide open space for exercise, picnicking, or just hanging out. Especially good for the young kids as there’s a huge all wooden and very safe play park!Lots of shade and public bathrooms.Don’t forget to go across the street to Alice Keck Park Memorial Garden which has turtles ducks an amazing plants

Lovely park, with actual park benches and tables. So many of our City Parks have had benches disappeared. So dumb.

This park is lovely but not very well maintained. The ceramic benches, the fountain, and the lush plantings added to make a quiet oasis. Worth a visit just to see the benches and the central fountain.

Wow this is really an impressive playground. It is a bit similar to the wooden playground in happy hollow park and zoo. It is suitable for quite a wide range of kids. This is definitely not a rinky dinky playground for something that is free to the public this is a while differently level. Coming from the bay area we frequently bring our children to various playgrounds in Palo Alto,Los Altos Hills,Menlo Park,Mountain View,Burlingame, etc. Kids World is truly remarkable.

I would call it absolutely the best public playground in the US. My grandsons could not be torn away. Lots of different ways to entertain yourself for the little ones. Highly recommended if you get to Santa Barbara and dont know what to do with your kids!

If youre on the fence about visiting a park and you read reviews on Google maps to help make your decision, Im not sure if I applaud or pity you. Either way, this is a nice park. Plenty of open grassy space, a sandbox, a nice play area with swings and a wooden fort, and just across the street is another section of the park with a duck pond and nice walking paths around it. You dont really get ocean views from the park and it gets crowded but its a great place to take the kids.

Happened to pass by while driving through Ventura. I forgot to take pictures but overall a it was nice and clean ... Even restrooms were tiny but clean. As other reviews mention there were homeless people around but they didnt bother anyone. Saw lots of people walking their dogs and its like 1 park on each corner of the street so there are like a total of four parks. Pleasant walk, pleasant breeze under the trees. Cute pond and nice area for kids to play. Very relaxing.

Alameda Park hosts a range of fantastic festivals in Santa Barbara including Earth day and summer solstice its conveniently located downtown Santa Barbara and its adjacent to Alice Keck Park which is far more beautiful Park to visit and that includes the pond with ducks and turtles I love this area because this was supposed to be double as an apartment complex and thanks to the generous people who donated their land it was turned out to Parks Im very thankful to mrs. Keck.

Alameda Park, Century Park and Alice Keck Park Gardens, Park is Alices last name, are three nice parks. Kids World is located within these three parks. Its a great place to take your kids to play on the large wooden playground. Alice Keck Park Memorial Gardens has some fascinating botanical information alongside the plants plus a pond where you can occasionally see turtles. Century Park is wide open and great for picnics. Together theyre pretty awesome for spending some time with the family.

If you are new to Santa Barbara, or just visiting during this early summer event, you are sure to have an exciting, confusing, once-in-a-lifetime event. Ive lived next to this park for two years and besides scattered trash throughout the park, its a great place to roam in the DAYLIGHT. At night its a completely different vibe. Its full of lots homeless people and homeless people on drugs. My dogs night walk is between 6:30-7. So far Ive been yelled at, stalked and my dog has been poisoned ( shes now okay) from something she picked up in that park. Its unsafe just before dark and after. Ive lived in NY, Portland, Houston and currently in Santa Barbara. For Santa Barbara this park is a disgrace. It needs to be cleaned up at night.
