Easy to moderate hike with plenty of vistas along the way. Midway through the hike is a tree-shrouded Canyon that offers a relaxing and tranquil experience before the steepest part of the ascent to the point where all your effort is rewarded with spectacular views of the sweeping costal mountain range, Santa Barbara, Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands.
Awesome hike from Stevens Park up Jesusita Trail all the way to the point. About 18,000 steps ! Great view of the entire SB area. Can get chilly up there if day is overcast and towards afternoon. Bring some water and a camera. Cheers !
Love this place and the views.Good work out getting there.
Inspiration Point is Santa Barbaras iconic and busiest hike. Lots of shade helps tame the elevation gain, and the view from the end of the trail is terrific.
Great hike. Not to long but make sure you wear good shoes and bring lots of water.
Nice easy trail (~3miles round trip) if you start from tunnel road, with shade for stretches at a time, and nice socal scenery of ocean + mountains.
Nice vista point with views over Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Mountains in the back
A must do hike if you are ever in the Santa Barbara area.
Cool hike but too crowded for my taste.
Note: Trailhead is at GPS: 34.464873, -119.712801 and the point itself is on Jesuita trail at GPS: 34.472139, -119.714640 . The suggested point of Inspiration Point on google maps is just at a road intersection, which is not at all on or near the trail.
Hike here is good exercise, but the view is not as impressive as one would hope for something called Inspiration Point.
Rewarding view after a great hike
Hike this hill, make sure to take water. Great view at the top.
