This is a nice launch ramp, free of charge. Has clean restrooms and outdoor showers and a very large parking area. Easy access to bike trails. It also has a dump facility and a place to wash your boat off. Launch ramp is a perfect incline for launching. It lets you out in Mission Bay. Word to the wise anyone coming here without a trailer even though there is huge amount of open parking spots ensure you only park in a stall designated for a car. You will be ciited.

Great place to set up a canopy, if you dont mind a short walk to the beach. (GPS said 450 steps) Bathrooms are nearby, outside showers, and boat launch. A bit too busy to fish here, but perfect for Jetski and kayaking.

A little sketchy as there is a strong presence of drifters congregating here and some of them are less than friendly or are dealing with mental health or drug abuse issues. Facilities need to be cleaner and stocked more often for the toilet area. And most of the parking is labeled for RV use or trailers and it is awkwardly positioned for actually making use of the boat launch in relation to the rest of the area. A re-design of the parking lot and update of the bathroom facilities would do wonders for this place. As of now its just awkward and somewhat inconvenient to use the way it is.

Very quiet, but dont stay the night you will be cited

I was here to run the T9 Mermaid San Diego Half Marathon. The race packet pick-up and starting line were both located here. The parking lot was huge so there were plenty of parking spaces. However the lines for the parking stalls needs to be repainted as most of them had faded. Im not a boat guy, but Im guessing that you can launch your boat into Mission Bay from this location.

Lovely leisure bike ride in the evening with my husband, but a little uncomfortable with the crowd during covid. The views during new moon will be awesome... lot of parking space and a great picnic spots.

Excellent place for rvs also has a dump station great for boat launch.

This place needs more shade but I have the boat ramp bathrooms that are very clean a clean outdoor shower places to wash dishes and empty garbage they even have mobile home sanitary Port so that you could empty your bathroom so yes this is a nice place to go there is no overnight parking and they dont want anybody who sleeping in their vehicles to be there but its safe place and a fun place to be

What a great place to be spent the day on the beach have fun listen to a rock and roll concert or see the beach races or see the boat races or c hot looking girl running around how cool is that

Beautiful day! Beautiful views! Water, plants, a plethora of birds, squirrels and fish jumping out of the water! Great family place to have a family event (but clean up after yourself! Plenty of trashcans!) Lotsa of parking, easy to deploy equipment from cars because of generous sized parking spaces! Cant go wrong! If you want a nice walk you can walk from De Anza park to Fiesta Island, or all the way to the west side of Sea World!Whether a day, an afternoon, or just a quick stop to recharge your Zen batteries, you cant go wrong!

Tiny and secluded. Its cool to walk around and the water is nice enough for a swim but its very shallow and rocky so unless youre looking for a workout you wont enjoy staying vertical.

Good launch ramp for boats, pump out station for your RV. If you have a dog U can have them run after rabbits and squirrels. Theres outdoor showers & 10 bathrooms & 5 sinks 4 handwashing, but dont spend the night in Ur RV cuz the cops will run U out of there.

Beautiful! Walk the path here with my mother-in-law and right now its amazing! So many flowers and vegetation, Ive never seen it like this before. Even if the flowers werent in full bloom it would still be pretty and relaxing. Being by the water is very nice :)

A nice kids playground play area next to a large green belt and a 1min short drive from Fiesta Island, with bathrooms, picnic friendly and game friendly on the large green belt, easy parking but can be very busy during popular times. Nice and not too busy today. Nice to stroll around the area with views of Fiesta Island. Only drove by today, but my son enjoyed his play time and stroll around the area many times last year, will stop by here again soon.

Clean, the workers from the city do a great job keeping bathrooms clean. Also watch alot of boats go in and come out the water at the boat ramp. Rv dump very convenient.

Beautiful peaceful park. Plenty of parking normally. Paved sidewalk for walkers, joggers, scooters, and bikes. The sidewalk trail runs a good distance all the way down to Sea World parking lot. Lots of families here use the picnic and BBQ areas. Plenty of benches to rest. Multiple restroom areas. Wind surfing, jet skis, and boats in the harbor. I prefer this park over Mission Bay. Highly recommend.

Quite convenient for 4th July, albeit remote from fireworks... Id rather be under them than looking from a distance. I recommend finding a spot WEST of fireworks to avoid the smoke interference.This location was pretty full at supper time, but folks cleared out a lot for fireworks at 9:45.Im a Missouri girl, and anyplace that isnt the St Louis arch for fireworks is MEH for me.

You cant go wrong with a free beach with beautiful people and easy sidewalks for all sorts of activities.

It was an amazing experience and is a great place to go with family and friends but you should put more more.pits for bonfires and you know I mean having sting eats in the water is just as bad as sharks

Its a great place to go if your needing facilities to use...like the bathroom, washing dishes, a quick freezing cold wash off shower, some friendly conversation.

Perfect place to launch your sea toys its rite across from fiesta island an it has a nice big dock to launch a big boat. When docking back onto the trailer your heading west into the wind. So it makes life a lot easier when entering the trailer. Theres a public restroom an I think a fish cleaning station an also Showers to wash that dirty bay water off lol. Keep truck/car locked at all times theres some rift raft out there

Perfect place for an RV neighborhood. With poverty and rental rates both this high, literally 1/3 of San Diego reports having been homeless by having to at least sleep in their cars at least once in life. That ratio is over 40% in Washington DC. This is not right, and we can actually change this easily, by simply not paying such high rates for rent. The RV life is a great way to transition to a life of freedom. This park only lost one star because of the police, who presently only represent and serve the interests of the corporate American empire, so occasionally they may still hassle people with $50 parking tickets. We are working on changing this however, so please come and enjoy the wonders of actual freedom

Amazing for its purpose. Plus an awesome spot too watch sea worlds fire works. However keep in mind it is a boat launch and there is parking desiganted for trailers and trucks.

South Shores Park is where you go to Docs your boat jet ski watercraft and enjoy the beautiful Mission Bay and you can actually write out to the ocean from South Shores they have showers restrooms outdoor sinks and you can commute by vehicle by bike walking many of trails enjoy the Mission Bay if you havent she must South Shores is beautiful you can walk from South Shores to the balancing 50 miles of trails

Sometimes the cops roll through & give RVs tickets, otherwise, the spot is good to chill at.Also, outdoor SHOWERS.

Its a great place to have a picnic. Save for the weirdos yelling at us and giving us dirty looks..we are just a family trying to enjoy our afternoon but you cantcontrol who else showed up and tries to start problems. There are only 2 fire rings hereso its possible to have an intimate get together. Theres a gazebo, hit coal dumping area and plenty of tables with trash cans. Nice place right catch the sunset as Ive captured here.

The employes for the most part are friendly . The bathrooms are sometimes clean . But its a relaxing place to go and just watch. The boats .
